Nathalie (10/5): Merci pour votre accueil. - Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour sa proximité avec l’aéroport après un long vol. Tout était parfait. L’accueil a été excellent. La chambre est grande et propre. Le petit déjeuner local nous a mis dans l’ambiance. Ils nous ont recommandé un restaurant dans les alentours où nous avons pu goûté le jus de crapaud (ici c’est une plante 😄).
Niriam (10/5): - We only spent one night here and arrived very late, yet the owner was patiently waiting for us. They make you a fresh breakfast. It's very affordable and very close to the airport. They don’t offer transportation, but that didn’t affect us since we rented a car. 100% recommended."
Dave (8/5): - Our time at Bistol was very short, only 7 hours, but we were happy with the stay. Due to a flight delay, we didnt arive until after midnight, but i was able to contact them to mame arrangements, and we were me when our taxi pulled up. The room was very large, the shower was good, the beds comfortable. We had a tico breakfast made to order, and it was very good, and the staff very helpful. I would come again if ever I need a hotel close to the SJO airport.

Timothy (10/5): - The Hotel was just as it was pictured. The staff and our stay were fantastic. The staff treated us like royalty. The road in front of the hotel was under construction so that was not great, but the staff at the hotel made up for any inconvenience. We will definitely stay again.

There were a few things that could’ve been improved such as some tiny ants in the restroom & the pillows were rather hard. It was a pretty property though and the breakfast was delicious. Mais on s'est fait venir une délicieuse pizza qu'on a dégusté à la salle à manger. La réceptionniste s'est occupé de tout. Endroit très propre. Service impeccable.

It is close enough to the airport yet away enough to avoid all of the airport traffic and congestion. Room was nice size with plenty of hot water. The staff is very pleasantly and accommodating working to ensure a nice stay. The breakfast was typical tico style and the airport shuttle was on time. I would highly recommend for an inexpensive stay near the airport.

Called Expedia and they tried to call the property when I called to complain Expedia couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone either. Still waiting to hear back on my refund request

Verified traveler (8/5): Great Place - Great place to stay. I have been staying here since 2009. It is in the middle of the real Costa Rican culture. Not a tourist area but just enough to see how everyday Costa Ricans live. Security is exceptional. And the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is free but could be better. It is the same breakfast everyday.
Mardi (4/5): Close to airport; not much else - The pictures on line looked more like a hotel. This property is much more like a motel. It is in a neighborhood where all the houses are gated (as is the property) and next to the highway. We found that only a few rooms have air conditioning. It is clean and the staff were very accommodating. On the bright side we were only there overnight for an early morning departure. Would not recommend for any extended stay.

They make you fresh breakfast in the morning. Room was clean, slightly musty smelling but could have been the humidity. Bed was a little hard but not uncomfortable.
Carol (10/5): Cute and cozy - Staff was excellent. Rooms comfortable. Very clean. Kids had fun in pool. Was only place that would let me book one room for 4 adults and 2 kids. Turned out to be a two room villa with 4 twins beds and one queen. I would definitely come back.
