- Sara (10/5): Great stay at The Windsor! - The room was comfortable and clean. We slept great and had plenty of room in the two queen bed suit. It was nice to walk to two nearby coffee shops and bakery. The complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby was so nice too! With the hotel being right in DT Asheville, parking is tricky. The hotel offers parking a short walk away, so we had to coordinate luggage loading at a nearby loading zone. It was a little hectic getting in during a busy time, but we figured it out fine. We also accidentally left our credit card at check in and wasn't notified that the desk had it. They could have notified us instead of us checking with front desk.

I also liked that they had bath robes and slippers for us. There was a large gap under the main door making me feel unsafe and allowing increased noise in the room. The walls are super thin and we could hear every noise from people upstairs (including walking). The windows do not block street noise very well and the hotel is on a very busy street. It was hard to sleep.

Friday afternoon I got a text message that the farmers market was the next morning . We were told to move our car if we needed access to it Saturday morning. This meant pay for parking in a garage. - jennytQ396WT (10/5): A Cozy Apartment in the City, perfect for family - The Windsor was the perfect place for our family of three. It felt we had our own apartment in the city with a full kitchen and living space separate from the bedroom. They supplied anything you could need for the kitchen as well, including spices if requested. The space was peaceful and cozy and we slept well every night we were there. The staff was so kind and helpful and the hotel is centrally located in downtown Asheville so easy to walk anywhere you want in the area. We lived our stay and highly recommend staying at Windsor if you are heading to Asheville.

Lots of details in the suite (eg coffee, tea, EVO and much more in kitchen). Handy corner in lobby with more free snacks and drinks. Very comfy bed and even though we were on streetside, noise did not bother us (it was a Thursday night). Central location with everything within walking distance. Would def consider for a future trip. The suites with separate bedroom and kitchen makes it much more comfortable and intimate than an hotel room. Bathroom was a bit small but it worked out. Thanks again for a lovely, too short, stay.

- 962juneb (10/5): Great Hotel Fits The Vibe - STAY HERE!! We went to Asheville and we wanted to stay at a hotel that fit the vibe of the area and The Windsor was it. It was warm, cozy and intimate. The location is FANTASTIC! Walkable to shops and restaurants. I have traveled the world and this is now one of my favorite hotels. The pictures from travelers represent the hotel well. One small thing, the lighting in the bathroom is not that great so putting on make-up was a challenge. Outside of that I LOVED IT!

The rooms are large and spacious, with a full kitchen that’s incredibly well equipped with everything you’d need for cooking, plus complementary coffee and setups. The design is cozy yet modern, with a really cool aesthetic that makes the space feel both comfortable and elevated. What really stands out is the attention to detail. In-room washer and dryer, cozy robes and slippers, bottled water and snacks available in the lobby - every little touch feels intentional and guest-focused. The hotel is also filled with unique artwork making it genuinely feel like walking through a gallery at every turn. The location is excellent - walkable to nearby cafes, markets, and boutiques, making it easy to explore and enjoy the neighborhood without needing a car. Super location - with all sorts of interesting places to eat and drink within walking distance. Loved the local ground coffee and coffee maker that were provided. Also the complimentary waters and juices in the lobby fridge were a nice touch, as were the robes in the bedroom closet! We should have stayed longer! - Sightsee21355340906 (10/5): Excellent, upscale, and eclectic hotel with AWESOME staff - Our stay at the Windsor was amazing! The staff members at the front desk were attentive and informative, and they responded quickly to any questions we had about the hotel itself and about Asheville in general. My wife and I booked the executive suite for our anniversary, and we were blown away by what we walked into. It was spacious, clean and well outfitted; the kitchen area had all the appliances and dishes we needed for meals, coffee and more. The living room and bedroom were cozy, and the washroom was stocked with curated soaps and shampoos. The suite's decor felt warm and inviting while also having an artistic charm. We felt right at home! The hotel itself is surrounded by great restaurants and cafés, all within walking distance. Wasabi sushi, Mellow Mushroom, and Old Europe Café were our favorites. It was a very short 10 minute drive to the entrance of the Biltmore estate as well, so it's a perfect hotel for a Biltmore trip. The only downside was the parking. The lot only had seven or so normal spaces and 3-4 parallel spaces. On one night, the lot was full and I had to squeeze my car into a parallel spot behind someone who had parked over two spaces (Thankfully there is a garage about two blocks up that allows overnight parking for a fee). I highly recommend staying at the Windsor if you get the chance. We are already planning our next trip to Asheville, and the Windsor is at the top of our list of places to stay.

Upscale artwork and fixtures throughout the room/apartment and the whole building. Bed was majorly comfortable and shower was amazing. You are right in mainstream downtown Asheville, so parking was a short 2 blocks away, but not a major problem.

The rooms are gorgeous with a fully equipped kitchen. The front desk staff is very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel— and the location is perfect.
- Carole Meldon (10/5): Just a wonderful experience at the Windsor. We'll definitely be back - Each room was just terrific. It's so nice to have both a bedroom area and a living area. The kitchens offered coffee makers and full size refrigerators, everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Plenty of room for 2 people to watch television after returning at night. The refrigerator stocked in the lobby with water, cokes etc, to take up to your room is just so nice and so much appreciated. Just a great experience At this price point it would be nice to have larger bars of soap. Those little soaps are so easily dropped in the shower and a pain to retrieve. Also you really need to consider a bath mat in the shower or a grab bar. One of our guests was 74 years old and to step over the tub into the shower with no grab bar and no shower mat is really unsafe.

So, whenever I visited her, I stayed at her house. But now that she has moved to a retirement community in Asheville, I get to stay anywhere I want when I visit her, and I choose the Windsor! It offers the best of everything my wife and I want: walking distance proximity to all things in downtown Asheville, an extraordinary architectural renovation, a spacious and comfortable suite, a full kitchen (who knew?), attention to detail in all of the furnishings, free parking!, and an attentive staff. If you want a truly unique, boutique setting in downtown Asheville, this is THE PLACE. You can drive over to the Grove Park Inn and visit for a full afternoon. Even get a massage. But you'll be glad you're going back to the Windsor for the evening and all that downtown Asheville has to offer.

The location couldn't be better - walking distance to so many restaurants shops and entertainment downtown.

When looking for a room I was looking for something unique and beautiful and this place did not disappoint! So very clean and the decor was just perfect!! We will definitely be back!! The staff was very helpful and friendly!
- Ellis (10/5): Spectacular boutique hotel in a great location. - The Windsor is a special place. The rooms are beautiful. The staff is helpful and kind. The free water, bottle of wine (for a birthday), and free parking (off site, but a short walk) were appreciated. The real coffee machine, free ground coffee, and full kitchenette were a plus. The bed was comfortable and was in a separate room from the living room, allowing a quiet sleep. One of our favorites now. The only thing they could improve on were the towels.

We decided on Windsor over the Biltmore because the rooms are much more spacious and charming… a bit of history and yet with all modern amenities. I didn’t feel like I was staying in a cookie cutter Marriott room. Felt like home and we will stay again.

The suite setup provided ample space for relaxation and the separate bedroom was great for our family of 3. The location was ideal for walking to many shops and restaurants and the free parking was close and convenient. The staff was super attentive and the hotel was beautifully decorated and clean. We will absolute stay again!
