Guest Reviews
- Trail08092529258 (10/5): Very pleasant stay - We had a very pleasant stay at the De Trafford Arms Hotel in Alderley Edge. The room was clean, comfortable, and a nice temperature throughout. It is a little dated and would benefit from refurbishment to better reflect the quality of the pub it’s attached to, but it was perfectly acceptable for the price.
All staff were friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Helen, who looked after the dining area during the evening of our stay. She went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable with friendly, attentive service.
Breakfast wasn’t included in our booking but can be added in the morning for £11.50. Both continental and cooked options are available and were very good. Free parking is also available by entering your registration on one of the consoles inside.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would happily return.
- O2945IHjoannew (10/5): Great location - All staff were so helpful and friendly it’s in a great location for all restaurants and bars, the bed was really comfortable, well worth the money ,it was clean and and tidy ,well worth would definitely stay again
- welshhappytraveller (10/5): Exceptional value for money with very friendly and helpful staff. - Fabulous hotel in Alderley Edge.
The service and welcome was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV and WiFi were perfect.
The gentleman on reception was helpful and gave out useful local knowledge.
Can't wait to return!
- Caralyn78 (4/5): Nice area, not a great hotel. - I had high hopes for this please being that it is located in Alderley Edge, but sadly, I was very let down. The accomodation is very tired and dated. My room, albeit a good size, wasn't great. To begin with it was like a furnace, even when I turned the temperature down. The bed was so basic, I could feel the springs and the pillows were like sleeping on concrete. I had the worst nights sleep. The carpet in the room was grubby and there were a few cracks and mouldy looking spots on the ceiling. Breakfast in the morning was ok. Nothing special and the coffee was shocking. So, I didn't stay my second night. Girl on checkout was lovely and has refunded me for the second night, just have to wait for it through the booking website. What was supposed to be a lovely relaxing night, was fat from it. Disappointed.
- O7436CEnikkic (4/5): Very dated and tired - The hotel is really tired and grubby. I was told it is due a refurbishment. Mould all over window frames. Broken bits and pieces and just generally not very pleasant. Howvere it was clean as much as it could be with the state of the place. The room was also very very small, only just enough room to move around the bed. The plug sockets are just sitting above the desk so diffucult to plug anything into them particularly my phone charger. I had to go to reception and get an extension cable. I would not stay here again. Staff very friendly and helpful though.
- Kate (10/5): - Wonderful as always
- Krystyna (6/5): - Room was generally clean but dated and below average condition. No fan in the bathroom, a tap thar wouldn't turn off and a TV that wouldn't work - reported the latter to reception but not addressed. Staff in the restaurant are very friendly. Parking is available but spaces can be limited and are quite tight in places.
- Hayley (6/5): - The staff were all very friendly and helpful, apart from knowing nothing about the local bus service. The food in the restaurant was really good, plenty to choose from. The only thing I couldn't bear was the loud music playing every morning at breakfast. It is definitely not for those with sensory difficulties or preferring a peaceful start to your day.
I was quite peeved that on arrival, the booking price had increased by £97 which was a bit of a shock. Keep this in mind - prices change daily apparently.
There were issues with the TV and getting the temperature with the water but house keeping came and sorted this - and the bath is extremely slippery.
It's set in a lovely location with plenty of shops and places to eat. I would definitely recommend it.
- Mark (6/5): Lovely people, nice pub but the room was poor. - Greene King really need to spend some money here. The pub and restaurant downstairs are very nice, the staff are very friendly and helpful but the room is so, so tired. That was most apparent in the bathroom, which was very small, dark and the toilet leaked a little.
- Claire (8/5): - Great location.
- RoscoBlackwood (4/5): Disappointed with a sub par, extremely small room - The location…good….the bar…nice but quite pricey.
Onto the main issue….
Our room was extremely small, to the point it became somewhat comical at times us trying to manoeuvre around. Not only that it looked rather grubby and worn with the walls being covered with marks (some quite pronounced) and there was only one double plug socket in the room which (due to the proximity of it to the table) we couldn't fit the majority of our plugs into.
Having stayed at this hotel twice before in the same room style (which we enjoyed) we were simply very disappointed by how cramped and grubby our room was (Room 30), we know from our previous experience that this must be one of, if not THE, smallest rooms in the hotel. With the standard of this specific room, the size....and the resultant impact on our experience it would take a lot for us to consider returning or recommending the hotel again. BTW it is a hotel I have told colleagues and family of in the past as the perfect place for Manchester Airport pre-flight stays, etc....that won't be happening anymore
- Stephen (8/5): - The staff were friendly, kind and professional from management to cleaners. They make this place work. The downside, for me was the poor wifi. It was important to me and lets the place down. I will return here despite this, because of the people.
- jebuc (8/5): Good stay - Very friendly staff . Room is quite small but adequate. The bathroom is very tired though and needs to be updated.
Excellent breakfast
Close to high street.
- Justine (8/5): - Spacious room, plug sockets too low to plug in hairdryer, charger etc
- Clive (10/5): De Trafford - Friendly, helpful staff and a quiet and comfortable room... Great food and drinks on offer in the pub
- goldham-a (10/5): Traditional and terrific as hotel and bar and restaurant - Honestly such lovely staff, Danny, Lucy and Helen stand out for us tonight, great service, friendly, knowledgeable about local area and just generally friendly and welcoming. Front of house and restaurant host, and just generally looks to be managing the flow of things is Ryan who is also very friendly and accommodating, quick to obtain essentials needed like towels and toilet roll, and really this establishment overall need a great big shout out for the whole team, everyone says hello and smiles which is something I really notice being a people person myself! Also need to mention the food has been excellent, we had mixed grill on one evening, 😋 and breakfast twice. Meat products in particular very good quality. And lots of choice at breakfast. Fresh cooking to order. And continental buffet. Hats off the chef! 👏 👏 👏 definitely would return to his place as a pub/restaurant or a place to stay, extremely good value for locality and what it offers. We were told about impending refurb so can't wait to visit and again and see the improvements made!
- donnawC5130FI (6/5): Nice stopover - Comfortable to stay if travelling ,nice big carpark area ,close to few local shops ,nice spot to stay if on a roadtrip etc
- Emma (6/5): - The rooms are dated, the bathroom was in need of upgrade or just basic maintenance, the shower curtain needed replacing, it smelt damp and made the whole room smell. For where the hotel is, it did not suit it's surroundings, the pub downstairs was kept in good order but the breakfast was lacking in flavor and the bean portion was worse than Wetherspoons.
- Lee (4/5): - Firstly great staff,however, hotel,room and food,tired ,mediocre and expensive .
- David (10/5): - nice property with pub attached and walking distance to other restaurants
Varied breakfast selections, good parking and friendly staff
- marksD5047RF (2/5): Car park scam - beware!! - We pulled into the pub car park for 15 minutes on a quiet Monday morning to meet a colleague who was a guest there and have since received a fine from Euro Carparks. There was no signage to indicate parking charges/cameras and I am amazed how a country pub can get away with this sort of nonsense.
Disgusting business practice.
- DINO (8/5): - Quiet pleasant surroundings, very good food, attentive and friendly staff.
- E3315UAsarahg (10/5): Fantastic stay - Had a wonderful stay , we felt very welcome at De Trafford Arms - the staff we re friendly we even got to meet ‘Lady H of Aldley Edge’ (Helen) she was fantastic and gave us advice about the area and places to visit. We would definitely return.
The rooms are basic but everything you should need for your stay , the hotels location is fantastic very close to bars and restaurants.
- Kevin (10/5): Highly recommended - We had a lovely stay, the room was fantastic, the food very good and the staff really friendly. Will definitely be back.
- David (8/5): Business trip - The staff and location are great. The rooms are ready for a bit of decorating
- Joseph (8/5): - Plenty of outdoor space, many many tables. The rooms had lots of space and were fairly modern. Little things could have made it better, there were no plugs for charging by the bed and the toilet seat wouldn't stay upright. Other than that, it was good value
- Margaret (10/5): - This was a really lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! We hope to return for a longer stay as Alderley Edge is a beautiful village that needs exploring.
- IAN (6/5): - In a pleasant area & convenient for my requirements. The room was past its best & a little shabby, although the shower etc worked fine.
- D868UCstephenc (10/5): Tony Leacy - Really friendly team checking us in - Helen was amazing - Went through all the check in procedures really efficiently - Lovely comfortable bed and big enough for my partner Cyril and myself. Would highly recommend and thought the breakfast was excellent - A great experience and will definitely return
- burjisgodrej (10/5): Hearty food and heartfelt warmth in the heart of England - Comfortable stay and very helpful staff who go above and beyond to assist you with your problems and make your stay more comfortable. I was so impressed by how a staff member left the reception to check on the plumbing issues and solve them for me.
- David (10/5): - Plenty of parking dpace and the staff were very friendly.
- Guide189102 (2/5): Wouldn’t stay again - The de Trafford hotel room I stayed in was poor. Very shabby and tired looking. Carpet stained. No plug socket you could use unless unplugging the tv one.
Bed was uncomfortable
Tea and coffee making facilities were fine.
Staff we met were lovely and helpful.
I was so disappointed in my room, would not book in again.
- Robert (10/5): - The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. I would certainly go back again
- Odyssey12953670730 (2/5): Beware of PARKING SCAM - Visited for Sunday lunch, we were told that the cost of the car park was deducted from the bill - however, we still received a parking fine of £100 a couple of weeks later and the private parking company refused to accept we'd paid - despite showing our bill.
- lewiss760 (10/5): Great food! - Hellen was amazing! She welcomed me with open arms and suggested all the top bites from the menu. Made this solo business traveller feel at home. Had a fantastic meal too - the pork belly with vegetables. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and the presentation. Thank you!
- bbks2023 (2/5): DISGRUNTLED !! - The booking was in error and I arrived the day after. Instead of letting me off, I had to pay for another night. I checked with the cleaning staff and I saw the room list they were not fully booked the night before. When I asked the manager, she said they were fully booked. I saw what I saw. The heater in the room didn’t work and it was freezing. My allocation of coffee in the room was two sachets. I asked for eggs fried on both sides at breakfast. Surely not a big deal. I received them runny and fried on one side . I sent them back and the Cook refused to flip them!! The rooms were very average. I travel a lot and have many reviews.
You will see that I am generally always happy. This has created ill will and I will not be returning. I have stayed at the Alderley edge hotel several times . About the same price and a lot better everything about the de Trafford seems cheap and scant. The front bar is very nice but accommodation wise most places would be better. They made £120 for nothing. That’s the way the world is! Several times I have missed a booking at other hotels and they moved it , I won’t be using Booking.com anymore either. They have screwed up my bookings before. And when two people are involved one just blames the other anyway. I have a YouTube channel and people seem to enjoy my troubles more than my successes so they should find this amusing , especially the eggs. The English most times refused to do it. It’s weird they flip them in Wales.
- Paul (10/5): - Enjoyable , good food and friendly staff
- Geraldineinnorthants (8/5): A great place to stay for a couple of days or longer. - We stayed for 2 nights recently. A very comfortable & quiet room, albeit the decor could do with a bit of smartening up. Friendly & efficient staff.
Breakfast on both days was good with plenty of choice & dinner on Saturday night was really enjoyable. I didn't catch our waitress's name but I'm guessing it's Helen, looking at the other reviews. She's great!
There's so much to see & do in the area & in the knowledge of such a nice place to stay, we'll hope to come back soon.
- HannahBlake99 (10/5): Great 2 night stay :) - - staff are very pleasant and friendly! Every member of staff we seen was very friendly and polite :)! Couldn’t do enough for us
- Food is very nice
- room needs updating but has everything you need
- lovely note on the bed to say have a nice stay which was an added touch
- cleaner came in 2nd day which was unexpected but nice
- tea and coffee making facilities in room
- not a lot of plug sockets so recommend extension lead
- very clean all around
- beds are massive and very comfy
- a few bars and cafes on the street.
Overall had a lovely 2 night stay. Would definitely recommend it. Rooms are very basic but have everything you need.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very noisy, loud music and partying below my room until 1 am, couldn’t sleep. Didn’t expect anything like that on a midweek stay. Music started again at 7 am! Poor mattress. Room furniture, carpets, heating all very run down. Poor value for money.
- Ann (10/5): Amazing hotel - We really enjoyed our stay! We will definitely recommend ot to our friends and family when we get back home to Canada.
- ImoJay (8/5): Lovely and Welcoming - Lovely stay. Welcoming and attentive. Relaxed bar and restaurant with lots to choose from. Really comfortable bed. Housekeeping is excellent. Special thanks to Sarah and Helen however all the team are hardworking and friendly and offer great hospitality.
- Sara (8/5): Little tired but great location - Rooms are a bit tired. Menu has lots of variety, food is good. Staff are very friendly.
- Sarah (10/5): - A good value place to stay in alderley edge with helpful staff
- John (10/5): - Love being at the Trafford when I visit my patents. So central and so much cheaper than anything else around Alderley. Love having the bar there too.
- nikalosd (10/5): Lovely visit - I often stay here while travelling for work.
The staff are lovely, the rooms are comfortable and the food is great. The breakfast in particular was a favourite of mine. After a long day of work it was great to come back to a quiet environment.
I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Daydream33145285373 (10/5): Lunchtime - Very nice lunchtime experience. Helen is great fun and a genial host. Nice beer and desserts. Wish I could have stayed over. Will definitely be back. Food was amazing had the fish pie. Really enjoyed it. Easy parking nearby. Lovely setting x
- Michael (10/5): Quirky hotel, great location, nice pub - I always enjoy staying here - nice location, friendly staff, quirky rooms, nice pub downstairs. Be warned that this is not a standard, generic hotel! An older building with "character", which I enjoy but others may not. Would not be good if you have mobility issues: lots of stairs (even in the rooms), small elevator, baths difficult to enter/exit. Internet OK but spotty in some locations. Walls are fairly thin (you can hear your neighbors talking) but I've never heard the pub patrons, even when on the 1st floor, and hall-mates are almost always very quiet so this is very seldom a problem. Pub downstairs has lots of space and is usually quite quiet - good place to have a quiet chat or get some work done.
- Levi (10/5): - Very nice staff !! Good food and lot of options within walking distance !!
- Voyage58796573624 (2/5): Worst Sunday Lunch - Visited on Sunday the 9th Feb for a Sunday tea out with my husband and two children. Our waitress was hardworking and friendly and this review is by no means a criticism of her. Unfortunately the food was horrid. Probably the worst pub meal I’ve eaten. After a 45 minute wait we were served fatty meat, bland vegetables, raw frozen roast potatoes and very greasy gravy! My son ordered from the kids menu and his burger was presented as two tiny balls of dry over cooked mince meat.. no explanation for why it wasn’t just one full sized proper burger. They were rock hard and he tried his best to eat them but they were just too unpleasant! Thankfully we were using up our Tesco clubcard vouchers as if I had been spending my own money on this meal I would have definitely have complained. Would not recommend and will not return!
- nicolacJ7901UW (10/5): Amazing roast dinner. - Just been today for a fabulous trio of meats dinner. The food was plentiful and tasty not to mention the wonderful staff. Helen and Charlotte were amazing and are very attentive. All in all a fantastic experience. Thanks again for fitting us in at last minute. 👍
- Geoffrey (6/5): Very tired room - Staff are great and very reasonably priced, but rooms are in very poor condition. Our room actually had holes in the window frames, which were very old single glazed wood. Room desperately in need of a major refurb
- Michael (8/5): Nice place - I like this hotel - its unpretentious. I can recommend breakfast. The thing I really like about this hotel is that most rooms have a bath.
- ELIZABETH (8/5): Good position. - Very reasonable stopover within easy distance to airport.
- Philip (8/5): Good place - Very good, very clean, very comfortable
Staff were very friendly
- O6527MWlouisec (2/5): Worst ever! - Dirty, smelly, uncomfortable and in disrepair. Just awful! Leaky tap, terrible mattress, broken window that didn’t close. In need of total revamp! Walls and carpets stained. Unwashed cup, hairs on spare pillows. Ancient scary lift. See photos.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a pleasant experience - Very tired dirty room. Worst mattress ever! Musty and smoky smell. Hairs on spare pillows. Unwashed cup. Handle on bathroom window broken so doesn’t close in middle of winter! Evidence of smoking in bathroom with ash stains around window. Constantly leaking bathroom tap. No shower mat in the very slippery bath and no handle to hold when in shower. No sockets near bed or charging ports anywhere, needs completely modernising. Damaged skirting board/paintwork. Walls/carpet stained and dirty. Just felt very grubby, almost went home but after arriving in the early hours after a delayed flight with home being 2 1/2 hours away decided wasn’t wise to drive but wish I had! Bed so uncomfortable, no sleep and felt very grubby!
- Martin (10/5): Great hotel - Great greeting from Sarah. Excellent hotel
- U6725DBelizabethc (8/5): Great location and adjoining restaurant - We stayed for a Saturday night in November and enjoyed our time here. The hotel is well located in the town, within easy walking distance of some great bars, restaurants and shops. There is a large car park. The adjoining De Trafford Arms is fantastic for dinner and breakfast. The accommodation is comfortable, although fairly basic (this used to be a Premier Inn). There are some nice touches, however, such as a lovely tea tray with biscuits and a welcome message. The room was also very cosy and warm. Overall, we would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): 2 nights. - Two nights pre Christmas break. Staff great.food very good value
- victor (8/5): Good friendly hotel - Good hotel, value for money, friendly efficient staff.
Bar meals very poor
- jeanwL7636KE (10/5): Birthday meal - Went to the de trafford Arms for my birthday celebration with family for a meal. Food and service was excellent.
Staff couldn't do enough for you and made you feel so welcoming.
Would highly recommend a visit .
We would definitely return and have a meal
- Sheila (6/5): Good location. - Tiny shower cubicle - would be impossible for a large person (I'm average size for a woman) to get in or out of small space when bi-fold doors fully folded! Peeling & dirty Bathroom window frames in need of redecorating. Very poor lighting as only 1 of 3 overhead lights worked & 2 bedside lights low voltage. Comfotable bed & clean linen.
- 679rch (10/5): Manchester MBS show stay 2024 - Stayed here as we were exhibiting at a show at the Concorde Runway, as it was better priced than hotels nearer the airport area. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the food was also good both at breakfast and for evening meals. Our stay was for two nights and we chose to eat in the restaurant both nights
- pwvalaitis (10/5): De Trafford Oct 2024 - What a great hotel in a cozy but chic English town. The pub at De Trafford was a warm, inviting and pleasant experience. Particularly, Helen made our time there fantastic. Generous pints served with cheer and friendship for the out-of-towners. Food was delicious and the staff were so kind. Will definitely come back!
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant service - Amazing hotel. Great location. Staff were exceptional.
- carolecH628VI (8/5): Need to stay overnight near Manchester Airport??…. - We booked a stay here the night before an early flight; room OK for the amount of time we’ll actually be in it as leaving at 2:00am but have to say the staff are fantastic and we had a lovely meal; shout out to Helen and Charlotte who were most hospitable. They acknowledged rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment but explained housekeeping worked their socks off to make sure everything was clean, which we agreed was absolutely obvious from what we saw. So, if you need an airport stay, stay here and if you need a lovely pub grub night out come here!!!
- Ken (8/5): Night away. - Hotel is clean, staff are helpful, food was good. Good quality mattress and bedding, en suite functional but a little dated.
Free parking provided you register your car.
Can't really fault at the price point it is.
- Shirley (4/5): - Great location at the top of Alderley Edge's lovely high street. It's a smart looking building with good parking and the bar/restaurant area is nice. It was convenient and the bed was comfortable but the decor and fittings are tired, which I think is reflected in the price.
- John (10/5): - Emma the manager was fantastic. Very capable and friendly and was running around doing multiple jobs when needed.
- David (8/5): - The manageress was warm and attentive. The hotel is in a good location but the rooms are on the small side and in need of a refresh.
- Calebs (8/5): - Hospitality
- Charlie (10/5): - Lovely
- Clive (8/5): De Trafford - Nice friendly, welcoming staff, good selection of quality food and drinks... Rooms a little tired
- Shirley (8/5): - We stayed in the hotel on our way to a wedding the next day. It's an attractive building in an upmarket village. Room was good, bed comfortable, and it was quiet so no problem sleeping. The bathroom was small and could benefit from updating, hence the four star rating.
- Clive (10/5): A great weekend in Alderley Edge - The staff at De Trafford are always friendly and helpful and the services in the bar and restaurant is also excellent... Highly recommended... We will definitely be going again
- Paul (8/5): Close to airport. - One night stay due to proximity to Manchester Airport. Left to early for breakfast. Evening meal good, decent selection of ales.
- Jane (8/5): Uncomfortable - Very uncomfortable bed, you coukd feel all the springs. When you opened the room door, you walked into the wardrobe
- elizabeth (6/5): - A friendly well located hotel, just by the High street. The bar and restaurant have been refurbished very well, we await further work throughout the upper floors.
- Robin (8/5): Really nice staff, excellent staff. - We had a two night stay here in May. Firstly I’d like to say that the staff were superb especially Lucy who seemed to be there every second of every day looking after us checking in, out, breakfast and dinner. Thank you so much.
The rooms were clean and the beds were big snd very comfortable. Excellent location in a lovejy area with shops a 2 minute walk away and the station 5 mins away to get into central Manchester. Overall a really nice stay in a nice clean hotel.
- Claire (10/5): Just brilliant! - Had an amazing stay! The bed is super spacious and super comfy! The food in the pub was very delicious and great value for money and all the staff was super friendly! A ☆ all round
- Alan (6/5): - All ok except lifts out of action and parking bays awkwardly small. Food was tasty with good selection.
Overall the hotel felt rather tired and in need of some refurbishment.
- Mark (8/5): - Slightly tired rooms but a lovely pub/restaurant with great staff. Fantastic location just at the top of the high street and only a couple of minutes from the National Trust property. A bit noisy but that’s the price you pay for the location. Recommended!
- Victoria (8/5): - Room was not large and bathroom was a little on the small side, that said it was really clean, warm and the bed was really comfy. The staff were all lovely and the price was great. Can’t complain at all
- Keith (8/5): - Great area and a good hotel to stay for a night or two.
- Mabel (10/5): Lovely stay - Great one night stay. Easy to find, lovely room, great food available on site.
- Paul (6/5): - Main issue was that TV in room had no signal so was useless
- Penelope (10/5): Great value, great breakfast, a bit tired. - Lovely hotel, slightly tired, great value, helpful and friendly staff, fabulous breakfast. Clean room though a little mould top in bathroom where wall and ceiling meet, bath surround peeling slightly at bottom. Comfortable bed. Car park is not huge - think we had the last space on the Friday evening. Food good, drinks expensive, breakfast the star of the show - though thermos hot water and coffee not at the standard of the food. Lift was out of order when we arrived (and is clunky) but only 2 floors so not a disaster for many people.
- Bryan (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff
- Glyn (6/5): - Room was very tired and small, no central heating, lights and fixtures in need of updating and windows were shabby.
Staff were ok but some could smile more. Breakfast was nice. Just about ok for 1 night stay.
- Joanne (10/5): Gold standard - My Daughter and myself found our stay to be really good, our room was lovely and comfortable, food and hospitality was gold standard. Thanks to the team for an enjoyable stay, we will return
- simon (8/5): - Hotel was pretty good overall , although reception on arrival and in the morning wasn’t the most friendly I’ve experienced.
Food and drink was good as was the service that came with it .
Comfortable and clean with a reasonable cost .
- John (10/5): - In the heart of Alderley Edge. Perfect.
- Lisa (10/5): - Stayed here the night before the airport. Great location, clean, warm room and friendly and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cleanlinees and service poor - man on reception did not tell me i needed to register my car to park in their carpark! I didnt see the notices as it was dark when i arrived. The next day when i queried it was told i would get a ticket... but not to worry phone them and they would pay. Poor service.
Room basic and bathroom shabby. The toilet was dirty and yes, i mean dirty, not a nice photo attached.
Loud noise all night, presumably from heating but not ideal.
Bed was comfy but couldnt have breakfast after 9am as a pre booked breakfast with santa for kids.
Wouldnt stay again overall, poor
- Peter (10/5): - Really lovely pub. Especially lovely staff!
Very nice food and drink. Very comfy bed though bathroom a little tired. Over all a great stay with no complaints.
- Theresa (8/5): - Food and staff all very good.
Rooms need updating.
- PAUL (8/5): 2 Eggs please - I have stayed here many times and will be back but the rooms certainly need some TLC, the only chair in my room was disgustingly dirty,stained... the chap who greeted us in the restaurant for breakfast was a little rude, when i ask for 2 eggs on toast he stated i couldn't have 2 eggs it was one as a standard, I'd have to pay...2 eggs on toast would be cheaper to provide than a full English, felt that was poor.
- Ian (6/5): - Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast okay. Bedrooms could better eg. Uncomfortable bed mattress and smelly en suite (probably due to damp?). Cannot recommend.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Live folk music occasionally They got me a taxi quickly
