Guest Reviews
- strebor56 (8/5): Great family gathering spot - I have been a homeowner here for about 30 years and have enjoyed many memorable times with family and friends.
- steve9876534567 (10/5): Great winter getaway - Cold springs is a great place to spend a week in the winter. The staff is very friendly and the resort is clean cozy.
- mamat31501 (8/5): Great location & friendly staff - Have stayed here many times. Have never had a problem with anything. Kids love the playground and pool. We love it’s near a lot of outdoor activities and good restaurants.
- Dixie063 (8/5): Incredible place EXCEPT... - This place is incredible EXCEPT... my sister & I had a first floor 2-bedroom unit and the people above us had us awake till midnight, doing laundry and kids running around. The place is immaculate and the kitchen truly is set up for cooking. Comfy beds too. We will stay again but will get a 2nd-floor unit next time. We're used to having a neighbor above and below us at home, but obviously the people that were above us aren't. Other than that, we definitely recommend it.
- ellenblittle (10/5): Making memories - Spending time with family under one roof in a beautiful place is what I consider a perfect vacation. The area has so many things to do that there is always something for everyone.
- php1055 (10/5): Peaceful - If you just want to relax, this is the place. But if you like to explore, there is so much in the vicinity to do that you wish to extend your stay.
- Excursion52912276240 (8/5): Quiet, comfortable resort - We enjoyed our stay at Cold Spring Resort. Our 2-bedroom condo was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Beds were also very comfortable. It is a little dated but well maintained and clean. The indoor hot tub was a little tired looking but the indoor and outdoor pools are very nice. The screened-in porch was an added surprise overlooking a field and golf green. We were very happy staying here and would recommend.
- Charlyn (8/5): - Customer friendly, room was clean abs kitchen was stocked well. Property well maintained and spacious. Only negative was the twin bed mattress I slept on was too soft and woke up with back pain.
- H576LOgregm (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - The unit was clean and comfortable (although a bit dated). We didn't take advantage of the amenities. For us, the resort was in close proximity of all of the activities we planned.
- 856marybethl (10/5): Felt like home - My college friends and I spent the weekend at Coldspring resort. We are all in our 60s and the accommodations were perfect. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back next year for homecoming.
- Milliemolly007 (2/5): Lodge was a drive away from the resort facilities - Booked a 2 night break in a 2 storey lodge as part of a month's vacation. Had high expectations based on reviews on Expedia.com (9.2 wonderful), but these were not met. It wasn't made clear, at any point before arrival, that the lodge was a drive away from the resort centre, in a block alongside the private golf course. The pool, and laundry facilities were at the resort centre near reception. If we had known this we would have booked elsewhere. Also, upon arrival, we were handed an A4 folder containing rules and regulations to follow, and a list of equipment that was within our lodge. We were expected to check that all of these items were in the apartment. Some weren't, and a phone call to reception was needed.
We arrived in the dark, and there were no external lights by the lodge, and the golf course was in darkness. Not at all welcoming.
The 3 seat sofa had a sunken end, that we only used once, and the wall light above the sofa didn't work. A hob kettle was an unusual feature too, with no coffee maker. Not as we expected, and not somewhere that we will return to.
- massitmgr (10/5): Generally comfortable unit - The porch chairs were rigid plastic, not all that comfortable. Upon arrival (on a Friday) our refrigerator was not working. Response was immediate, even though it was a weekend, and they let us store our refrigerated food in an empty unit with a working refrigerator. Repair was completed on Monday.
- ERIC (4/5): - Staff was nice, pool area smelled like a bog, pool was not clean,no arcade loke listed on website not what i expected for the price
- Cori (10/5): Great place - Dated but great! Tennis, trails, pools, and a gym. Friendly front desk staff. Well equipped condo.
- MELISSA (8/5): - Very nice
- rgtryagn (10/5): Vacation - We enjoyed our stay, the place was in good condition and nice and quiet, and conveniently located to a lot of things to do.
- Joseph (10/5): - Nice clean property, help desk was super friendly and welcoming, would definitely stay again..
- Angela (10/5): - We were very comfortable here!
- Armand (8/5): - 2 night stay there was comfortable and convenient. Enjoyed the 2 days there. We didn't get to use the pool and gym room but we were given all the information about them. Would stay again .
- Lori (8/5): Short but cozy & clean stay! - Great quick overnight stay for our family to do some school shopping. It was great to have an open concept and a fully stocked kitchen! Sadly we were unable to check in until 6 pm and check-out time was pretty early at 10 am the next day, some sort of discount or perk would have been appreciated but the gentleman at check-in was very friendly and informative. The kids LOVED the pools and hot tubs!! A gate for the bottom of the stairs would have been nice to have as my littles were constantly trying to go into the loft area. Other than that we had a good quick clean stay. Definitely would return!
- davel9112025 (8/5): Dated but cozy - Not a lot of resorts in the area. But the location is great. Central to many wonderful scenic, hiking locations and plenty of outdoor activities.
- Steven (8/5): - Great AC and Wifi
- Tina Marie (10/5): - Well appointed and well maintained condos for any size party. Pemi Burger is outstanding and of course, you cannot beat the location.
- Bryan (10/5): - My family and I have been traveling to the Lakes Region for 30+ years and have somehow never stumbled across Cold Spring Resort. I am so glad that we discovered it, as we enjoyed every bit of it. The unit that we stayed in was perfect for our family of five (two adults and three small children). The staff was extremely friendly and accommodated all of our needs. Our kids loved that there is an indoor and outdoor pool. Additionally, I loved being right on the golf course. Even though I did not get a chance to play a round, I plan to do so in the future. We will be looking into renting again next year for our annual vacation to the area.
- nfrogg971178 (8/5): New Hampshire getaway - Quaint country resort near the mountains and lakes in NH. Units are spacious with well equipped kitchen. Slightly old fashioned in a nice way.
- Sarah (10/5): - Perfect place for a family vacation in New Hampshire
- Nick (10/5): - Loved having washer and dryer in the unit
- Shannon (8/5): - Convenient location to the Pemi River, hiking, Sculptured Rocks and close to Plymouth. Definitely needs updating in the condos, however it was perfect for a fun long weekend with the family to go tubing down the Pemi and chill poolside. Good price and well stocked kitchen. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Family friendly atmosphere. Will return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Short stay - Great Kitchen - Wish we could have stayed longer to check out all the amenities. The kitchen was a big bonus for us. Very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and appliances.
- shawnacollins67 (4/5): Stay at a hotel instead! - If you’re looking for a decent bed and furniture to relax after a long day, stay somewhere else. Beds are very uncomfortable and it’s listed as a queen bed in the town house but it’s a full. Furniture is really old
- tiogabound (10/5): Great trip - Was nice and clean. Rooms were a little outdated as far as shower fixtures and furniture but WiFi was great and again, very clean!
- Joao (8/5): Bike Week - Everything was good, except the toilet was running for a while before filling up, but it was taken care of. Would come back
- Brandon (8/5): - Was close to fu spot and amazi g pool
- Rusty (8/5): - Convenient and reasonably priced.
- Heather (10/5): - The finishes are a little dated, but very clean overall. The walkway to the apartment was difficult to navigate with a broken foot and cane, the sidewalk had large dips and twists that couldn’t accommodate my walker.
- Nicholas (10/5): - Excellent place to stay at a fair price. Full apartment with sitting area, kitchen and loft. Will stay again for sure.
- Beatriz (10/5): - Very quaint. Spacious units. Older decor but clean and functional. Wish we stayed more than 1 night so we could teuly enjoy all features.
- Vickie (8/5): - We have stayed here three times now. Overall it’s a good property choice when visiting our son at PSU. This time the water temperature was on the cool side and the bed was a little uncomfortable. The kitchen and living area is very good. The property is dated but most of the properties in the area tend to be so. We will definitely stay here again.
- p2usi (10/5): Great vacation - Our stay as usual was a great time. The resort is set in a country setting, away from all the businesses in the area.
- Joseph (10/5): - Hidden gem. Close to downtown Plymouth , Plymouth State and Holderness School.
- Armand (10/5): - Office staff was very helpful to make my stay very comfortable. I got there 3 hours before check-in time and the manager moved me to a bigger rental so I wouldn't have to wait. They were great and so was the place we stood at .
- Relax262776 (10/5): Concert trip. - This place is great all around. We would stay here again anytime. Well kept. Lots of things to do. Friendly staff. Peaceful views.
- Peter (10/5): Nice place - Great hotel staff, pool, hot tub.
Rooms are spacious and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Staying at Cold Spring Resort - The houses were very clean. We enjoyed it in general but there were a couple of issues. The beds were not comfortable. The toilet had two doors but one of them did not lock. We stayed two families and this was a big problem. They also didn’t provide separate towels for the pool.
- Swag6737 (10/5): Ski trip - Resort is close to some good ski areas Cannon Ragged and Waterville Valley nice hot tub and pool units are nice
- SonickaP76 (10/5): Quiet Little Cottage - Perfectly enough for our family. It is aged, but very clean. The kitchen very small, but it has all necessary dishes and pots and pans. The only thing I woud not mind to have is the washing machine and dryer or drying rack for wet skiing clothes. Location is excellent, quiet, but close to several skiing resorts.
- Olena (10/5): - Great stay for family, spacious, plenty room for sleep and just hang out. The only issue was that one of the rooms heater barely worked, but it was just 2 of us this time, so wasn't a big issue. Definitely will come.
- galice213943 (8/5): Overnight Stay at Cold Springs Resort - Spacious, convenient, close to Plymouth, friendly staff at reasonable price. Recreation room, pool and sauna also available.
- scottw146 (10/5): Tranquility!!! - Quiet, comfortable resort in a beautiful location, and close enough to - but far enough from! - Boston.
- Jessica (6/5): - Staff was very friendly, pool supposedly was 84 degrees but more like 60 degrees, so my kids and other kids wanted to be in the hot tub instead. The walls in the apartment where so thin we could hear everything from both sides. Our neighbors where extremely loud pass midnight hard to get the rest you expect to get. Probably wont be going back again
- Carrieinct (8/5): Ice castles stay - We went for the ice castles which was about 25 minutes north. The unit was very clean and spacious. We stayed in one of the townhomes. It was not the most up to date but was extremely clean. I would definitely stay there again.
- Brenda (10/5): - Enjoyed the indoor pool and game room. Staff was wonderful.
- Jake (10/5): - The house was so big and easily fit my family of 7! The pool was really fun for the kids.
- Magdala (10/5): - It was just what i wanted.
- Heather (10/5): - Wish check out was an hour later but loved how it could accommodate a family of 6. Washer and dryer was an added bonus.
- robb112156 (10/5): Winter ski trip - A great place for a 3 generational family stay! Comfortable, well equipped and pool and hot tub! Great place for home base on our mutli-day skiing trip. Helpful staff, too!
- Paul (10/5): - The property is 20 minutes from Waterville Valley resort. It is quiet and makes a good base for winter activities. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The indoor pool, hot tub and games are great for families.
- tomfuller2 (10/5): Winter Getaway - The amenities are good and the location is perfect for hiking and/or skiing in the White Mountains. The units are warm and cozy with the fireplace in the winter.
- Andres (8/5): - Property management very helpful in all aspect. Cabins very clean. Easy access to Hwy 93.
- Vickie (8/5): - The property overall is a good choice for the area. It’s definitely dated but nicer than some of the brand hotels nearby. Having a kitchen and living room is very nice. The views from the condo are beautiful. We have now stayed in a two bedroom and a one bedroom. If you have mobility issues choose the two bedroom and ask for a first floor. Even though the condo is all one level you need to walk up stairs to the second floor. The sleeping area for the one bedroom is a loft. You need to climb relatively steep and narrow stairs. The bathroom is downstairs. It worked for us but we were concerned at first. It could be an issue for some. Plymouth State University is very close.
- dennis838 (6/5): New Hampshire - the cleanliness was good. the appliances were getting a little old but worked. the building itself was in need of some repair, the location was very good.
- Shirleyanndw (8/5): Quiet and Relaxing in The Fall - It is outdated, but doable. It was missing some things, but they took care of it. Fireplace didn't work. Nice little grass area in back for my service dog. I took one day to go on a day trip and it was good. People were nice. There was no one the 1st time when I went to the pool. I liked that. The 2nd, just 3 people. No movie channels.
- Bethany (8/5): - 2 level condo is nice. A little tricky to find in the dark. Arrive in the daylight or get additional details than what’s on the “map” at check in.
- Vickie (8/5): - Nice option for the area. We were visiting our son at PSU and it was very convenient. It was clean overall. The couch and bathroom had a little bit of hair from the previous occupants. That being said compared to other places in the are we have stayed this was the cleanest. The kitchen is a plus. The grounds are beautiful. The deck is nice to have your morning coffee.
- 10liz (6/5): A nice week in a "tired" resort - The ladies at the check-in desk were very friendly and nice and helpful with local information. It should be mentioned that logs are available to buy for the fireplaces. We didn't know until halfway through the week and it would have been nice to have one when we had company earlier in the week. The unit was clean, but just needs updating. The bed in the master needs repair of the headboard. The sheets need the be nicer and the toilet paper you can see through. But that being said, the pool and hot tub were nice. The walking trail inviting. And we made the best of the week by getting out hiking and sightseeing the beautiful mountains and the leaves starting to turn!
- Meghan (8/5): - Well kept but a bit dated beds were older spring style
- O3667MBjohns (8/5): Nice Getaway Vacation - To echo some of the previous comments: the front desk staff are friendly and efficient, but the units are dated. That said, I would definitely stay here again. It's quiet and the units have all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Nice "getaway" vacation, but within a 5-10 minute drive to most restaurants and shopping.
- MatthewL688 (10/5): Great location, Friendly staff, Comfortable units - My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Cold Spring Resorts. From check in to check out staff was great. They have pool, activities, and tons of walking trails nearby. The views throughout the area awesome!!! Our room was nice, furniture in bedroom a bit dated and made a lot of noise if you set down on bed or shifted your postilion but mattresses were very comfortable. Appliance were good, washer dryer were apartment size so small loads but cleaned and dried really good. It was quiet, and felt safe and secure there. A nice back patio screened in was a great feature, you could get up in the morning have coffee and donuts and watch for any wildlife that might come by. Location put you in nice spot between Maine Massachusetts, Connecticut and of course is right in New Hampshire. I will stay there again possibly next year with my wife.
- Sarah (10/5): - Wonderful place for a family vacation.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Our Labor Day plans got cancelled last minute and we were able to book a 1BR unit here. Staff are friendly and helpful and we took full advantage of the sauna, hot tub, jacuzzi, and Indoor and outdoor pools - and played lots of ping pong! Unit was clean well appointed, a bit dated (80s rose and oak furniture) but in good condition. Excellent water pressure in shower. Loved our little back deck. Stayed 3 nights, extremely happy and would come back again.
- stephanief703 (6/5): Rustic Resort - Rustic resort with outdated decor from the 1980s. Great location though - 1 hour from Storyland, 1 hour from Wolfeboro/Alton Bay. Randi, the Activities Director, is from the area and super helpful. Instead of paying to hike The Flume, Randi recommended hiking nearby Rattlesnake Mountain and the view of Squam Lake from the top did not disappoint!
- Laureen (8/5): - This place is decent. We stay a lot. My only complaint is the sofa is fairly uncomfortable. We've stayed in many units but it's always the same. I realize a lot people come and go and it's also a timeshare, but we stay at places all over northern nh and most of them have very comfortable furniture for 200.00 a night. It's centrally located between the lakes and mountains, is close to grocery stores and restaurants. It's in a residential area so it's quiet. The people that work there are great. Indoor/outdoor pools. Two bedroom units come with washer and dryer.
- Mike (10/5): - Quiet and clean. Had a full kitchen. AC was plenty cold.
- Tracey (10/5): - A
Top notch team and a remarkable property, Cold Spring Resort!
Thank you to the amazing staff; General Manager Corinne, Manager Sharmine, Kim, Elin, Ann, Tom and housekeepers!
I have a high work ethic delivering customer service excellence in my business career as a Realtor and managing luxury properties.
I will inform you of this team delivering exceptional service on a consistent basis! I spoke to the entire team while I was researching the resort via the phone! My husband and I had an outstanding June 2024 vacation! The professional, personal and positive attitudes of the Cold Spring Resort team is sincerely appreciated!
Cold Spring Resort is your vacation getaway with the impressive extreme cleanliness of the condominiums, calmness of nature, price point and the A team!
Thank you everyone for working so hard!
You have so much to be proud of!
- 498joanw (10/5): Nice location - It was a quiet area. Access to major roads but nicely tucked away from business areas. The unit was clean and very spacious. I would stay there again.
- Melissa (10/5): Great property. - Great property for the price. The staff were really informative and everything you needed was provided proactively.
- josepha733 (8/5): Relaxing and Quiet Vacation - This is a lovely place to stay if you are looking for a quiet family vacation. The condo we stayed was very spacious and clean with all the amenities we needed. The staff are very nice and friendly. The only downside was the indoor pool which was average and the outdoor pool (which was closed for the season) looked very small. Nevertheless would recommend especially as they are building additional units plus a burger bar style restaurant on site. Would visit again in the future.
- dcd0127 (8/5): Very Accommodating - The resort has some dated furniture, but new sofa and love seat. The unit we were in was exceptionally clean. There are some good activities and trips that won't break the bank. There is a lot of work going on outside around the resort and you definitely have to travel for restaurants and shopping. However, it is a great starting point for day trips. The bathtubs are slippery, although they have added strips to the tub, we still needed a mat. They also have grip handles if needed. The staff is very good and issues are resolved promptly. I hope to go back again
- Paul (8/5): - I wish I knew about the property when my kids were younger
- pon210 (6/5): Resort needs A much needed update. - Very dated units and furniture. Not enough seating in living area for the number of people it slept, and very uncomfortable. Great location though, centrally located to all we wanted to do for the week.
- Lucas (10/5): - Had a great time very peaceful lil place!
- Alison (10/5): Friendly, affordable - Cold Spring Resort was a very affordable, basic resort. The staff were amazing and helpful.
The only thing I would improve on is to either provide coffee/tea in the apartments or let people know that it is not available, since in my experience most resorts/hotels do offer it.
- Michele (10/5): - We stayed in a one bedroom unit. Older property, well maintained and super clean! New carpet and paint.
Beds and couches need upgrade. Pool area nice and clean, plenty of seating and umbrellas.
They DO NOT provide pool towels.
Great location.
Would stay here again.
- Randi (8/5): - The Condo was clean; fresh towels were provided daily. The kitchen was complete with dishwasher, oven, microwave, dishes, pots, pans. The only complaint was the air conditioning units are not central air and did not work very well.
- Kimberly (8/5): - We always have a great time staying at Coldspring! It’s close to everything and has some great amenities (literally right next to a golf course for example!). However, the property needs an upgrade/facelift. (Our kitchen sink was leaking, the deck needs some work, and the second bedroom has no air conditioning.) But I would stay here again for sure!
- Susann (10/5): - Everything was great I just didn’t like that the pool was up the street and you had to drive to it Other than that it was a very clean and amenities were great
- Shana (10/5): - Very accommodating and great service. Thank you
- Lindsay (10/5): - Took a family vacation here and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! Our 4 year old had a blast! We will definitely be returning!
- MARINA (10/5): - good location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved how private it felt per unit. Good amenities too! Slightly dated appliances and not the most comfortable beds but otherwise great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good condo and location - Nice central location near Lakes and Mountains, restaurants and fun shops. Condo very clean! Beds mostly comfortable!
With minor updates (update curtains and comforters and fresh paint) the place would be awesome! But even without updates I would recommend it because of cleanliness and location and on site pools!
- Shawna Z. (8/5): Our Vacation - Clean & well stocked, weather could have been better. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
- Jemmy (10/5): - It was amazing !!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is the perfect place for a quick getaway. Rooms were clean, staff friendly and helpful, and great food in town. We will definitely return!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pros: location. Next to golf-course where you could do snowshoeing and cross-country skiing and sledding in the back yard. Spacious apartment with a kitchenette. Parking right in front of the apartment.
Cons: mattress was not comfortable. Not all front desk staff was masked up even though it is the law and they had sign all over the premise. Walls were thin where i could hear the neighbor’s alarm.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was very private. We had our own little two-story townhouse. Loved the layout
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great property! Nice and quiet. The staff was amazing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We came at the perfect time our place faces the golf course and there was a whole golf course of snow we practically had to ourselves. This is like a cabin rental., attached units.
- Jesse (10/5): - Staff are so great! They definitely make you feel at home super friendly and can tell you where to eat and what fun activities to do! We came for a wedding in Plymouth and had a great time.
- Rebecca (10/5): Fantastic stay for PSU Parents Weekend - We absolutely loved our stay. Was attending Patents Weekend at Plymouth State University. It was so convenient and a short drive to the campus. Our unit was so spacious and clean and comfortable. We went for a swim and hot tub at the indoor facility and it was great! I wish I could have stayed longer we loved it! Will definitely be back!
