- Connor (5/5): Tried something different - Interesting concept. Good food. Loud music from bar nextdoor until late. Cleaning staff made quite a ruckus in the coffee room on the second floor. Loud conversations were had starting around 9 am. Felt like they were in the room with us.
- Simone (10/5): Charmantes Hotel in bester Lage. - Die Lage war super. Parkplatz war vorhanden. Der kostenlose Kaffee auf der 2. Etage war köstlich. Das Personal im Restaurant war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Kommunikation per SMS war super, so dass man die fehlende Rezeption nicht vermisst hat. Das mit den Cocktails in der Minibar und dazu Snacks zur Verfügung zu stellen ist eine außergewöhnliche Idee. Es gab jeden Tag 2 kleine Wasserflaschen. Wir haben ein kostenloses Zimmer Upgrade (von Mai Thai auf Margarita) bekommen, aber dafür kein Frühstück wie es in der Buchung angegeben war. Fehlende Information, dass es anstelle eines Frühstücks jetzt kostenlos Kaffee auf der 2. Etage gibt. Zugang ins Hotel nur durch das Restaurant möglich. Fehlender Fahrstuhl.

Smack dab in the beachy center of Gulfport. It’s a busy little place but that’s because of the bar and wonderful restaurant being right on the main floor. It’s not a negative it’s just busy which was fun.

Maybe have coffee downstairs available to guests by 6:00 am. We found a place up the street for coffee at about 7. It would have been nice not to have to go so far for a morning coffee.

- Sam (8/5): - Ontzettend leuk hotel, op een gezellig locatie. Gezien de ligging, in een leuke straat met allerlei terrasjes zou ik dit hotel zeker aanraden. Parkeren kon achter het hotel. Het hotel heeft geen receptie, je krijgt een berichtje met de informatie hoe je je kamer in kan komen, dit was zeer duidelijk. Goed en makkelijk contact gehad, ook als er iets niet goed ging werd er makkelijk geschakeld. Op Booking stond dat het ontbijt inbegrepen was, dit was echter niet helemaal zoals ik had verwacht. Beneden in het hotel zit een restaurantje waar je heerlijk kunt ontbijten. Eerste dag krijg je koffie en een croissant. Eventuele opeenvolgende dagen dien je wel zelf te betalen.

- Robert (9/5): - I am a regular guest at this property. The location and ambiance is very cozy and beautiful. I will be back. The water valve for the shower did not work well, such that water for the shower did not get hot. The water in the bathroom sink was good and hot, so the issue was not the water heater. Also, with cold temperatures in the 40's, the hotel did not have any heating. The temperature in the room had dropped to 66 F by morning.
- Carolyn (9/5): - Everything was perfect. The place was so cute and well done. The bartender was amazing. It was cozy and convenient to everything. I was told twice by staff that my service animal was not allowed on property. I had let them know beforehand my service animal was coming and answered all questions asked of me in an email. Right on arrival as I was taking my suitcase to our room, I was told I was not allowed to have my service animal there. Then 10 mins later I was told the same exact thing from a different staff member when I was sitting at the bar. It greatly upset me. I think both of the staff were housekeepers.

Lacking of information about clean beach towels, parking sticker, there’s no instructions of how to ask for things or where are things, they said the parking tag would be in our room and wasn’t only the next day when we saw a employee we asked and the original location to get it was in a basket at the bar which on our welcome letter didn’t specify it. We needed some clean beach towels and was a pain to get it ( everything that we needed I text the property Instagram) which isn’t very convenient because they weren’t very quick to answer so being a contact less properly they need to figure out some sort of better communication with guests. The AC only can go down to 72 degrees when it’s 93 outside it just doesn’t make sense it’s Florida very hot and humid the ac should go down to a least 65. The room was clean but not clean enough, there was some dust and the floors could have been mopped it didn’t seem very clean with some spots. Breakfast was included but don’t expect to much it’s extremely basic missing some source of protein (bacon or sausage, scrambled eggs) and fresh fruit ( not expensive to have some bananas, apples) and the coffee is Keuring machine, would prefer some fresh brew coffee that isn’t hard to make either. One of the reason I choose this property was breakfast and free parking compared to other locations but I feel like I overpaid because of Memorial Day weekend and wasn’t worth it, I could have saved $200 staying in another property with a pool and get my own breakfast anywhere that would be better quality. I would stay again at the property but not on a holiday because of the price wasn’t worth it, but overall was good.

Miss the breakfast buffet. fantastic customer service. - location. rasy heck in and check out. free croissant and coffee for each person. no coffee in room. no private breakfast buffet anymore. that was our favorite part. beds not very comfortable and too small. no times listed for french restaurant. restaurant should deliver to the room so we are not forced to go sit with non hotel guests to have our morning coffee. would have liked something special surprised for my child since i notified the property in advance it was her birthday and she was turning 6.

If the musty smell of an old building bothers you or walking up to the third floor or no one on site to assist, or anyone answering the main phone #, then this place is not for you. Great location. Fair price. Clean. Good size room (cannot use the balcony👎🏻). Great mixologist. Server referred a guest to the manager (not sure who/what she was managing) Two carbonated canned alcoholic beverages in fridge. Four small bags of generic chips. There were two vouchers for a coffee and croissant at the Mademoiselle restaurant. NO continental breakfast any way shape or form. Ate breakfast at the Madademoiselle, good food. Good service. Would go again

I didn’t penalize the hotel, but I had to leave my meal in the refrigerator because there was no way to heat it up. Doesn’t make sense to provide cold storage if there is no way to warm up your food.

- ISail_South (10/5): Fun, Friendly, Well Done! - This is really cool old building that is really well done. Fun, quirky, friendly, and surprisingly comfortable. The bartender was friendly and engaging. The drinks were good, the bed was very comfortable. It is three stories and the elevator doesn’t seem to work very often. Make sure To request a low floor if you have health issues. The surrounding area is full of interesting restaurants, and there is a French restaurant in the building. The contactless technology and communication worked perfectly. I will definitely be back!
- nowWhichway (10/5): Historic building, great bartender, great location. - We had a wonderful four night stay at the Peninsula Bed and Cocktails in October. We picked the third-floor "Old Fashioned" room with the giant bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was massive; even if it did take a little while for the hot water to reach the top floor. Be aware the elevator is out of action, but I didn't mind carrying the luggage upstairs. The bartender Naz was super nice and the cocktails he made were fantastic. Our friends stayed in the Mojito room and I think we'll pick that one for our next stay. The old building has a lot of character. I'd much rather stay here than a boring chain hotel. The Peninsula is right in the middle of Gulfport with lots of restaurants on the street.

Das Hotel wird ohne Personal betrieben, d.h. man bekommt alle Anweisungen und Informationen per WhatsApp. Die Zimmer sind relativ klein, ca. 15-20 qm, in der Beschreibung stand 190 qm, das ist Quatsch. Gebucht hatten wir mit Frühstück, mittags erhielten wir dann auf unsere morgendliche Nachfrage die Auskunft, dass sich das die letzten Tage geändert hat, in der Nebensaison gibt es kein Frühstück mehr. Live music at just about all of the local spots. Totally walkable! Beach is also walkable, small beach, but quiet and very pretty. The property was adorable! The rooms are so unique! Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was super cozy, and the decor was so much fun! This will be our regular go to spot from now on!

- Luciana (10/5): Gem of an art deco hotel in Gulfport on main street near shops and restaurants. - The room was stunning and beautifully appointed with the 'Mai Tai' theme. Thank you for the pristine bathroom, the vintage fridge stocked with water and cocktails, and the snacks! I also loved the ease of the digital check-in system as well as the codes for entry into the hotel and room. The location is fantastic with retail and coffee shops and great restaurants. The elevator wasn't working. But, to be fair, it was mentioned on the website that occasionally the elevator is out of order. For me this wasn't an issue. Just be aware of this point if this is a concern for you as a traveler.

No one on site, not an issue until you have an issue. My shower only had lotion and conditioner, no shampoo and the body wash was low. Times like that you’d like a front desk or something to grab one. Also was a little sad the bar wasn’t open but it wasn’t a big deal.
