- Amy (5/5): Overall the service provided by staff was good but facilities not so great - Friendly staff very attentive when asking for assistance We were put in a different room for the first night that we didn’t book, no window and 2 single beds different bathroom with the drain overflowing. Then moved to the room we paid for the next night, tv didn’t work, water pressure was very low, pillows were well past their use by date

- Hayden (5/5): Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, but I would not stay here for any other reason (cleanliness, bed comfort - Location was fantastic - cannot fault. Room was not clean. Hair was everywhere in the bathroom, and the wifi did not work / was not turned on for our floor (so had to rely on data). The door would not lock without being broken, so needed to get staff to come fix it (the staff were fantastic when issues came up like this)

- 윤혁수 (7/5): 2025년 12월 이용후기 - 위치는 매우 좋은편 입니다. 시내 한복판에 있는 호텔이지만 생각보다 객실이 조용해서 좋았습니다. 호텔과 마사지샵과 환전소를 동시에 운영합니다. 오후에 체크인해 당일 밤 체크아웃 할 예정이었기에 기대를 1도 안했는데 생각보다 괜찮았음. 따뜻한 물이 나왔다 안나왔다 합니다. 엘레베이터가 반의 반층 낮게 설계되어있어 꽤 높은 턱이 있는데 조심해야 합니다. 콘센트가 침대에서 좀 멀어요. 크리티컬한 약점은 없으나 무언가 조금씩 빠지는 느낌. 그렇다고 이상하냐 그런건 또 아님

The room had no outside window which was a plus for this location because it was quiet. There was black mold all over the bathroom countertop and the towels were stained

So when you go to the elevator to get to your room, you might need to pass by some persons that are getting a massage. And the distance between elevator and massage chair was just enough to pass by.

No food included even tho they mentioned included in our stay. Place looks horrible. No massage. No washing machine. Locker doesn't work. Please avoid at all cost!
- Lok (7/5): Location is great! - Location is great, very walkable. There is a lift which is brilliant. Netflix available. Staff respond very quick. Place is a bit old, we arrived and found there was a leak in the bathroom sink, but they sent someone out to fix the problem very quickly.
- Leonor (5/5): Disappointing but good location - The location is without a doubt the best part of this hotel. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing, with cobwebs and dust everywhere. The bathroom had rust all over it and when I walked around the room with socks on, they got completely dirty. Perhaps the disappointment would not have been so great if the photographs corresponded to reality, which is not the case. It served the purpose.

- Annabel (10/5): Fabulous caring staff in the heart of Hanoi old quarter. - The hotel was located in the heart of the old quarter, close to Hoan Kiem Lake. A vibrant, bustling area with a wealth of restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. The Water Puppet theatre was by the lake as well. The hotel manager couldn't have been more helpful and really made my stay. He looked after my largest rucksack, while I took a trip out to Sapa, organised for some laundry to be done and sorted out my trip to Halong Bay on a gorgeous boat, including all transport. He kept in touch by WhatsApp to ensure I was ok and everything was running smoothly. When I first arrived in Hanoi, I found it too busy and noisy and it was stressful to cross the road, but I became more comfortable with the city as I settled in.
- Nanashe (6/5): A good deal for its price and location. - The hotel is in a very busy location which is very convenient for going out. The staff are helpful and can book you tours and help with taxi bookings. If you get a room facing the street it can be very noisy. If you have a room that does not face the street there is an extreme lack of natural light which can appear stuffy.

- Sofia (6/5): It was ok - The property is right in the Old Quarter and it’s super close to everything. I booked a room with balcony for 2 nights. When I got there I paid for the room and they bought me to a room that looked nothing like the photos, with a window overlooking a wall. I told them they could have messaged me in booking to let me know the room was not available. MY ADVICE Is SEE THE ROOM before you pay. They ended up giving me a discount for one night and then moved me to the room with balcony, the next.
- Ivy (1/5): Intruder attempting to go inside our room. - The location is ideal . The minute e arrived the reception in charge was not very accomodating. No “hello good afternoon do you have any booking with us” but instead asking us directly “your booking?”. I asked him if I can pay the bill as I checked out but he said rudely, “no pay now “. So I answered him, that’s fine but I want to check the room first because it might not be the same as booking. Com stated. Luckily we checked first the room as it was not the same as it was discribed. So he gave us another room which was the one that was described . However, we discovered when we thoroughly checked the room that the balcony room was not closing. We are tired already to complain and we are in the 4 th floor so we were thinking that we are safe from intruder. But that’s not the case, at dawn , someone attempted to enter our room through the balcony, the intruder climbed from the next building. We saw his shadow so we were in panic , but he was too fast too climb down . It’s weird that the intruder knew that the door from the balcony was not locking. We address the issue to the same rude receptionist but didn’t do anything nor transfer us. So, we tied the door with a rope that was tied to the bed to secure ourselves. The room that we stayed is room 401. So, if you stayed in this hotel, checked the door always.

Our room at 4 floors were clean, specius with window, comfort bed. This is small boutique hotel but amazing. We really enjoyed at Hortensia. The elevator is small but comfortable
- Pinnette (10/5): Good hotel in thwe middle of Hanoi Old Quarter - Great stayed at Hortensia Hotel, close to the water puppet theater and the lake. This place is in middle of the Hanoi Old Quarter. Everybody was incredibly kind, friendly. Hotel had Spa at ground floor were nice. I felt like they will help us with anything, any time. Absalutely beautiful room, clean, cozy. There was few issues but I am happy with my stayed at this hotel. All was good

The hotel is next to the best food options, very close to the most famous sightseeing attractions, and just a stroll away from everything you need. The staff is very helpful and kind. The room is big enough, clean and fully functional.

- Verified traveler (6/5): You will get what you've paid - ほとんどホテルにはいないだろうと思い予約したホテルですが予想以上のがっかりでした。 掃除が行き届いていない。髪の長い子供と一緒に宿泊しましたが、前日のものなのか、そこら中に散らばっていました。 フローリングと呼ぶには古臭い木の板だったので、年をとった清掃者には見にくかったのかもしれませんね・・自分たちのものとはいえ 嫌な気分でした。次の日にフロントに「しっかり掃除をしてくれ」と注意しましたが、部屋に帰ってきても結果は同じ。 諦めました。タオルも白がくすんでいて汚かったです。1日目は変えてもらえてないのじゃないかな、と感じたほどでした。 ベットサイドのスタンド電気もコンセントが壊れているものをそのまま設置されていました。みて明らかに壊れているので、どうせなら 片付けておいてほしかったです。そこら中にありも歩いていますし、次に宿泊することはないでしょう・・ クーラーはうまく機能せず。朝食は時間になっても準備されず、品数も少ないものでした。 唯一の救いはスタッフが概ねフレンドリーだったこと。 You will get what you've paid ですね。
- Martin (4/5): Very disappointing - Perfect position near to night market and Lake but the downside was the noise of traffic which only abated for a couple of hours in the night. The hotel desperately needed some tlc and a deep clean. There was an intermittent bad smell in our rooms and fir me the bed was way too hard. Breakfast on 2 of the 3 mornings was not replenished so very little choice. The star were great, friendly and helpful
