Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We happened to be at this resort in the low season so we had the place to our selves. The only issue was due to the low season the menu was limited. The breakfast was fantastic every day and the dinnners we did have were vewry good.
- Pertti (10/5): Kaukoidän kierros - Viikko tässä hienossa hotellissa ja me ainoat asiakkaat!!!!
- Kristina (4/5): Nothing anywhere near reviews and pictures - Disappointing stay. Both hotel Kinaara and Pemuteran itself. Beach nothing special, tired and dusty town. Hotel Kinaara dirty badly maintained pool and pool area. Breakfast and food beverage everything: sorry, finished. Nescafé, milk, strawberry, Large Bintang, Baileys, Kahluha all finished although on menu. However they fixed Nescafé and milk the next morning when I asked them to. Second day breakfast jam finished, the last day even butter: sorry finished!!!
Staff extremely friendly but they all gave the impression of being tired and uninterested. Could be that it’s lowseason but hey, I pay same price as anyone else. Rooms cleanliness ok except floors. Outdoor bathroom we found two Cigarettbutts, a big toss of hair and used tissues from previous guests among the outdoor plants. It seemed as the staff used one’d of the bungalows for them selfs. Could hear them snoring in the middle of the day. And we were the only guests staying at the whole week except for two days.
Very much NOT worth the money.
- Josephine (10/5): - Very nice bungalows. Better than the pictures!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very pleasant hotel, the staff make it an enjoyable vacation and I mean every single one of them are just so nice and are always smiling best one for me was the driver (Ketut) that drive me from the south of the island to Pemuteran and back after my stay the safest and best driver in the whole of Bali
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property Beautiful and staff very accommodating Very peaceful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful resort set in spacious gardens and a lovely pool. Good sized and private villas. Very comfortable ned and outdoor bathroom. Second stay and it did not disappoint
- Efthymia (10/5): Wonderful stay - The cabanas were very beautiful with wood. The whole hotel infrastructure is very well combined with the nature around. We were very happy to stay there and we would like to recommend this place. A little comment, there was no hot water in the shower. However the shower is outdoors and it's quite warm outside.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Little gem - We loved our stay- the staff were great, though it is bit far from main town so requires a long walk or scooter ride for dinner
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely property, beautiful houses/huts, amazing pool and friendly staff. Everything was wonderful! Really a place to come and rest, relax, enjoy life and kick back. The spa has lovely treatments and everyone is so friendly and professional. The restaurant food is delicious, although portions are on the smaller side.
Just a little request, please improve the internet, it was quite slow, especially bad during the rain.
- sonia (10/5): - Splendide mois reviendront
- Peter (10/5): Beautiful Place - An amazing place to stay. So peaceful and serene. The pool is sourced by a nearby spring so is all natural.
- Peter (10/5): Beautiful Pool - Amazing place to stay. Best resort in Bali.
- Peter (10/5): Best Resort In Bali - Just a truly amazing place to stay. Even better than the pictures.
- gabriella (10/5): Great place not on the beach but close - Very comfortable place, moderately priced and well run by efficient and delightful staff. The room I stayed in is built like a giant basket. Great fun and very large. Nice big outdoor bathroom. Safe in the room and refrigerator with drinks. No TV, but the wifi was good enough in my room to stream movies. The breakfast was ample and they leave free drinking water in the room. Lovely welcome on arrival. Heads up, the pool is very nice, but was too warm for me. I think the water comes from a hot spring. Also the shower never gets cold. Not sure if it is only here or all of Pemuteran. This place is not on the beach, but the beach is not far. The airport pick up was great, and at the reception they have a list of activities they'll book for you. The food in the restaurant was nice. not exceptional, but at the same level of the other places I ate at in Pemuteran during my stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The kinaara resort and spar is as close to paradise that you can get whilst keeping your feet on the ground. The rooms are spacious ,clean and well maintained. The outside shower is a delight to use at any time of the day but especially in the evening as tje sun goes down.
The facilities provided at the spar are second to none. I can recommend the back massage.
The swimming pool and bar are a central feature that is surrounded by the chalet's .
Special mention must go to the ground staff who keep the gardens looking immaculate, the're hard work shines through on the careful and thoughtful planting of trees and shrubs to create a peaceful environment.
It is the restaurant that really takes this resort to the next level. The chef here use's the freshest ingredients and produce,s gourmet meals that wouldn't be out of place in best restaurants of Europe.
But most of all its the staff at kinaara who worked to make our stay the holiday it was. We arrived as guests. But left as friends.
- Petra (10/5): Fijne, relaxte plek - Heel relaxed, vriendelijk personeel, goed ontbijt.
- David (10/5): - A beautiful hotel with very kind and welcoming staff. From the airport pick up we were made to feel like VIPs and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room and pool both exceeded expectations and dining in the restaurant was a joy.
The resort is about a 1km walk from the main beach but that was not a problem and it felt very safe strolling about.
- K.A.O. (6/5): Warzone? Overig personeel vriendelijk.
Very friendly! - Great resort for a relax and unwind holiday.
The staff were wonderful, and organised great snorkelling and other tours at reasonable prices.
The villa was lovely- comfortable and cool.
Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Geweldig!! - Heerlijke plek, mooie kamer, geweldig zwembad en lekker eten.
- Deon (10/5): - Beautiful property, friendly staff, and good food.
- Sylvie (10/5): Beautiful resort, very well looked after - We stayed four nights in a Lumbug suite with view over the pool and had a very relaxing time. The bed with mosquito net was very comfortable, the safe in the room very useful and the large outdoor bathroom awesome. Best to know that the water in the pool and bathroom is always warm as it is coming from a hot water spring! The breakfast was delicious and varied, the staff very nice. The resort is in walking distance of very good restaurants but their own restaurant is perfect too. We had a delicious dinner there with music too! Lots of fun! The beaches in Pemuteran are not the best in Bali but for the snorkeling the nearby island of Menjangan is a must. I also had a pedicure at the spa which was heaven! All in all a very beautiful place to stay at, very reasonably priced.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Overall not recommended - Overall we Will not recommend this hotel. The pool was big, but warm and not cooling. This is however, good if you are travelling with an infant. The rooms were very dark and the floors not clean! We asked for Them to change the bedsheets after 5 days, and they did not put the new sheets on the blanket. The aircon was not working properly and the rooms were very hot! The food served at the restaurant was not good!! and one morning we found a metal staple inside the pancake. Really dangerous if swallowed. The area around the hotel is Nice for backpackers or if you are interested in diving. But not really childfriendly.
- Tim (10/5): Relaxed resort style living - We stayed at Kinaara to be near the national park. We liked everything about the place. Some construction happening for more villas, but this didn’t bother us. The pool was awesome and the staff engaging -especially Nyoman Geriada. We will stay there again for our next trip to Bali.
- Roger (10/5): Super relaxing - Any hotel is as good as its staff-they were outstanding.
Very comfortable,exotic setting,beautiful pool,great food.
Thoroughly recommend.
- Danielle (10/5): Fantastic hotel, amazing service - Fantastic service. All the staff were amazing and could not do enough to look after us. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully presented. The pool area is lovely and there aren't too many guests so it doesn't feel too busy. We did a cooking class where we went to the market and then came back and prepared food- this was great! We also has massages and the hotel sorted out transport to our next destination. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
- Mark (10/5): Total relaxation at Kinaara - Excellent stay at Kinaara Resort, amazing location near Bali National Park, the restaurant food was delicious, the pool was amazing and the staff are fantastic, we will definitely stay again
- Jun (10/5): Hot spring swimming pool - The staffs are very friendly and helpful, the girl even helped us to get some fruits from the market from the next village.
Room is clean, relatively small room and simple facilities in Bali standard but it is enough.
The pool and bar are very nice.
Hotel restaurant is not the best around, we often walk 15 minutes to the village centre to get better and cheaper food. Even the restaurant from 5 star hotel opposite the street is better value. Having say that, the breakfast included is still quite nice.
- Ingrid (10/5): Pearl of Pemuteran - A wonderful hotel with great service, amazing pool and access for best diving and snorkeling in Bali. The hotel opened just 11 months ago and both the villa and the rest of the resort was spotless. The spa wasn't finished yet but they offer the spa treatments in your private villa instead. The villas are spacious and have wonderful outdoor baths. Located in the beginning of the village, there where many roosters and some sort of school that woke us at 7.45, which for us wasn't that big of a deal.
- Steven (8/5): Relaxing - Stayed 2 nights, staff were very friendly and helpful. Located in a fishing village with great snorkeling and temples nearby. 2km down the road from the main tourist area
- H2 (6/5): Looks are deceiving - The outside appearance of this resort is beautiful. the landscaping is very nice. The rooms appeared quite unique from the outside. The pool is the best feature of this property.
The room we had was L2, very disappointing. There was NO minibar/ refrigerator, enjoy drinking warm water provided. There was no safe box in the room as stated there was in the hotel description. The air conditioning struggled to keep the " suite" cool. It's was like an oven as there is no windows for ventilation. The room was minimal in its furniture provided and of cheap quality.
Its as though they ran out of money when providing the final furnishings, cheap, cheap.
The food in the restaurant was boaring and flavorless as compared to other restaurants in the area and over priced. The breakfast was, edible, that's it. Our last night we had dinner and the fish made me sick, I noticed it smelled fishy.
The worst part of this place is the proximity to the road. We could hear the roar of the trucks and motorbikes from sun up to sundown plus. As an added noise bonus, there is a mosque next door that is extremely loud when producing their ritual wailings multiple times per day and night.
Maybe the other suites at the back of the property are not as noisy or hot or cheaply furnished as L2. Compared to a couple of the nicer " home stay" places we looked at, the expense of staying at Kinarra was not warranted in my opinion.
- c (10/5): - Perfect
- Kanishka (10/5): Love love love! - My girlfriend and I stayed in Kinaara for 4 nights in the last week of May. And what a great stay it was! The quality of the service you get from the staff, and the serenely beautiful backdrop of the hotel and awesome pool are insane value for money.
Note that this hotel is not next to the beach, and it is a bit of a hike to the biorock reef area. But the pool is hands down the best one in Pemuteran, particularly in this price range. The hotel can arrange drivers/tours to the interesting places around the area, and you can come back in the evening and kick back in/by the pool.
The setting with the mountains as a backdrop is absolutely gorgeous, as is the design of the hotel itself.
We got to know a lot of the staff by name when we were there, they are all so friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kinaara.
- Graham (8/5): Great little couples escape - This is a very nice hotel for this area and we much enjoyed our stay. I would certainly recommend it for the value. It's not "on" the beach, but it's across the street from it and not too far from town or the National Park. There was a strong push to get us to eat at the on site restaurant as well as to sign up for "programs" - scuba, jungle treking, etc. The had sell of these things was a little frustrating, but overall easy to look past. The rooms were super cute and we were lei'd right from the beginning with the most fragrant lei I've ever smelled. The people were all exceptionally nice, smiley, and helpful. The only drawback to the scenery is that there are some fairly significant power lines nearby coming from the coal plant that is not too far away from town. We ate dinner one night at the restaurant ON the beach that is part of the hotel across the street. It was quite pleasant and I would highly recommend checking it out (the folks at Kinaara sort of pretend that restaurant doesn't exist if you ask them about it). They had a very nice young man who was our driver across the island the next day, too. Great conversationalist!
- karin (10/5): Fantastic place memorable - Excellent resort highly recommend
- wajen (10/5): Great hotel with lovely pool and friendly staff - I stayed for 9 nights in March / April 2015. Check in was fast and easy; all the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times during my stay. My room was clean and spacious, with plenty of power outlets. The hotel gardens are lovely and well maintained, and the swimming pool was fantastic! The towels ( both in the room and the ones supplied for use by the pool) were thick and fluffy. Food in the restaurant was good - buffet breakfasts were amazing; the continental breakfast were pretty standard ( I'm on a gluten free diet, and staff happily substituted toast and pastries for omelette and rice).
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pictures Do Not Do It Justice - Kinaara was wonderfully surprising. Brand new resort with happy and attentive employees. All the water is from a natural hot spring. Pool was top notch. The pictures do not do it justice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): driving around bali - Hotel opened 4 months ago. Design and layout very well done. Gardens and pool lovely. Apart from diving options are limited along north coast. Beaches generally dirty. Visitors MUST have own transport OR organised alternative.
