• Norman (7/5): Great value at a discounted price! - The location was great, lots of food and drink options. It is just far enough for it not to be molested by too much noise pollution. The room was modest, but at its discounted price (47%) was fair. Would not have paid the full rack rate. Missing no kettle for hot drinks but did have a functional fridge. The bathroom was functional, there were no issues, and I had hot water on demand, i.e.had a hot shower at 10.40 pm Have to give a shout out to the staff, day receptionist was warm, cheerfull excellent English The night staff was very proactive, friendly, and just enough English to get by. Ps. In this area of 'Hems aka narrow Alleys', the hotel sits on a 4m road. So taxis are able to come directly to your door No kettle. Though I am sure if I had asked....

They helped me a lot. always with a smile on their face. an excellent location near walking street and good restaurants right next door. Comfy bed and excellent Aircon. A comfortable place to relax. Good price. Taxi will not pick up outside hotel but at the beginning of narrow street. The street outside is also a building site now (March 2025)

• Maria (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, even though it is close to the chaotic walking street, the small street is quiet and full of restaurant and travel agencies The room was small, open shower with no tent, very small window, no view. All together it wasn't nice to spend time in the room

• Ken (4/5): Pay the extra for a front room. - Good location. TV with cable channels in English. Fairly cheap. Smallest room in Saigon, right next to the lift with no window facing outside. Noisy aircon units outside the window. The quilt on the bed was tiny and barely covered the bed.
• Emi (9/5): Comfortable clean hotel with friendly supportive staff. - First off, location is great. Lots of food nearby and not a far walk or taxi ride to other attractions. Also, the room is comfortable and clean like a home. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Also, they had a nice mix of local and international TV channels. The amenities like hair dryer or electric kettle are not kept in the room, so if you need it, let the front desk staff know. Finally, the last thing I want to mention: I got a rash in the beginning of my stay. A pharmacist told me it was bed bugs, so I asked the hotel to let me check the mattress and it was clean. The owner told me I could change rooms if I wanted to, but I decided to stay in my room. As it turned out, my rash was caused by a sickness (shingles), so I had to go to the doctor to get medicine. The front desk staff were so helpful in explaining to me what to do at the hospital and helping me choose which hospital to go to. I am happy with how the hotel approached these problems and cannot thank them enough for helping me and making me feel comfortable. The cleaning might not be thorough, because there were some items left in the refrigerator. The staff were quick to rectify this and I thank them for that. I was unable to connect to the WIFI, but there were good TV channels so I didn't mind at all.
• John (10/5): Good Location - It is good hotel, the room was big and clean. friendly staff and very helpful. The location was good, located in center of Sai Gon. few mins walk to Ben Thanh market and walking street. it was quite beauty area. There is a park near the street.

• Carlo (9/5): Overall our stay is enjoyable. - Decent enough for sleeping & price for 4 days stay is reasonable. Very closed to restaurants & tourist spots. Just wished there is more help from the caretaker like pamphlets or recommendations.

Room had one window leading out to the internal staircase. We arrived to find someone had thoughtfully placed their empty beer can inside said window on our desk. The room stank of cigarette smoke. Hot water was non existent.

• Tiia (6/5): Pleasant - Staff was very nice and helpful. An elevator is always nice when outside temperature is over 30 degrees. Room was small but just enough for us especially for that price. The bed was so hard and you could feel the strings. Also the pillows were too hard and the blanket was too small for two. The bathroom was untidy.

My room was comfortable as a solo traveller. - Comfortable room, hotel wify was great, staff great, location perfect for many tourist places which I just explored by walking, no disturbance in the area. The lift was very smooth since my room was on the 5th floor. Cheers! Nothing...probably the electric kettle may I have missed.

• Marianne (6/5): Great location. - The Sao Nam Hotel is situated in a wonderful tourist area. The rooms are clean. You can literally walk everywhere. The hosts are very friendly! The rooms need un upgrade. The bedding is very old and the beds are uncomfortable. The rooms are very small.

• James (9/5): Good value accom near walking street. - Owner communicated well, front desk 24h for odd checkin/out times. Kept our bags after checkout for us. Quiet room - except for noisy people in room next door. Aircon stopped working during our stay but was promptly fixed. Property has lift. Plenty of nearby eating options, walking street nearby, market not far away. Overall, no complaints, other than Maybe update the house rules that say they'll give away your room if you show up too late without notification (and keep your money - never like this double dipping). If the room is sold and people are late, sure keep their money - but keep their room, don't try to sell it for a second lot of rental.

Broken PowerPoints, malfunctioning safe, tv standby but wouldn’t turn on. Water in shower lukewarm at best. Advertised mini bar, was only an unplugged empty fridge.

• Hoang-ha (8/5): Good value for money - The owners were lovely. The location of the hotel was great. The price was correct and all equipment worked well. No music heard from the main Bui Vien walking street. The bed could be more comfy. Soundproofing between rooms was quite bad, I could clearly hear noises from the room next by.
• Lucy (5/5): Location good but that’s about it. - The location of the property was good. Really good location for everything. It was a maximum 20 min walk to things we wanted to do. The staff were nice. The room was quite dark as the only window actually just opened to the stair case so no fresh air really go into the room. The aircon worked which was good however as no fresh air circulating my partner developed a cough. The bathroom was good size but has mold towards the back and on the ceiling above the shower again due to the lack of fresh air. We had to ask for our aircon to be turned on whenever we returned which was annoying as they may not be at reception. When we told the staff at the end they were very apologetic and had a look and said no cleaners have told them and will fix. Who’s knows if they will but hopefully they do as it could be a lovey place.

• Mia (7/5): Good - It was very close to most things around the centre. The family that own the hotel are lovely. The beds were really springy and uncomfortable. The AC gets flicked off by a main switch on reception as soon as you leave your room we had to ask for it to be turned back on which wasn’t ideal.

Staff are kind but have limited English, so wouldn't be of great help. Despite being so close to Bui Vien street, our room (with a small window to the side of the building) was quiet throughout the night! The smallest room we had in Vietnam, and it needs an upgrade and refurbishment. It'd be fine if we stayed 1 night, but 1+ nights and you end up having your belongings everywhere around you in a space of a few square feet. Toilet seat was very yellow. TV looked burnt or melted - we didn't try to turn it on. Cash payments only. No early check in available either. Staff speak limited English.

The location of the hotel is great too. It's near from the major attractions of the city. You could get the best value of your money when you stay at this hotel! Superb! Nothing at all.
