• Gergő (5/5): - The stuff was very helpful and nice. The breakfast was extremely super. There were a lot of opportunities from the food and drinks even if you are allergic or vegan. This side of the accommodation was similar to a 5 star hotel where i was in Poland. The bed was very uncomfortable. Furthermore, the tap at the shower was hard to use.

Food options for an evening meal just so so. Breakfast was outstanding - except for the continual scraping of chairs on the floor (yes we get it, there is no way around that)

• McCULLOCH (10/5): exelent, we got a warm welcome, we arived early but we were aloud in to our room. we would go back. - into town good breakfast from 7.00am with a good choice . a nice wee bar for that quiet evening chat. parking just outside main building about 50 mtrs. with a 15 min walk in to town ideal location. room in need of slight upgrade, but when your asleep its fine
• Karolyn (10/5): Good location and good price for St Andrews - Good value for money - for St Andrews. I had a really nice room looking out on woodland, and this time there was hot water for a shower (which there wasn't on my previous visit). Breakfast is great and I also really like Forbes Café Bar for a pint and a pizza (or burger). The mattress on the bed felt pretty worn out. Wasn't uncomfortable once you'd found your position though.

• Susan (8/5): Exceeded all expectations. - Primarily, great value for money in a town that can be pricey. The location is excellent being just a 10 minute walk to the town centre and 5 to the golf course; ideal for going out for a walk at nights. The building is very clean, staff are friendly and there is an abundance of parking included in the price. Unsurprisingly, the room is basic considering its student accomodation but perfectly comfortable, especially for the price. If you're using it as a base to explore then it's ideal - this is affordable accomodation for tourists and business alike. The best point and biggest surprise was the breakfast. Great options, fresh food, great quality - probably the best breakfast we've had at any hotel, way beyond what is reasonable to expect at this price point. Everything was good, mattress could be a little better but thats nitpicking.

• CHANTAL (6/5): Juste de passage - Comme il s'agit d'une université, nous avons eu aucun problème pour garer notre voiture. Concernant le petit dej (self), nous avons été très agréablement surpris de la diversité des propositions (salé, sucré). La vétusté de la salle d'eau : La lampe du miroir qui ne fonctionnait pas, le rideau douche qui ne permet pas d'isolé la douche ( on arrose abondamment la toilette qui est à proximité) et surtout la literie qui est de très mauvaise qualité. Quand votre partenaire bouge et bien vous bénéficiez de son agitation.
• Luisa (7/5): ended up covered in bites - The stay was overall okay, but there were a couple of major issues. The bathroom sink was clogged, and most importantly, the bed seemed to be full of dust mites — we ended up covered in bites. The beds themselves were also quite small and not very comfortable. On the positive side, the breakfast was definitely the highlight: varied, tasty, and well-prepared. With better maintenance, cleaner and more comfortable beds, this could be a much better experience.

Staff were very nice and helpful. The room was a bit cramped, it was too hot and, because we had to sleep with the windows open, there was a drip coming from outside.

Location was good especially for public transport. Just one small complaint that on the second night I was awoken by very noisy guests banging doors and shouting for some time around 1 or 2am.

• Giulia (5/5): Di sicuro non positivo - Niente a parte la colazione abbastanza fornita La strada per arrivare alla camera era come entrare nelle backrooms, la struttura è distante dal centro, abbiamo preso appunto la macchina, la camera era sufficientemente pulita ma piena di ragnetti neri, e il letto completamente sfondato da un lato. Fare la doccia vuol dire allagare il bagno completamente perché non separata dal resto del bagno solo con una tendina. Il personale all’accoglienza è gentile e la colazione normale. Era ciò che costava meno, anche se comunque è carissimo dato che 50 euro a notte sarebbero stati più che sufficienti.

• Michele (7/5): - Molto comodo per raggiungete a piedi locali e luoghi di interesse della città. Colazione molto varia, buona e abbondante Lenzuola e asciugamani macchiati: probabilmente lavati, ma ormai da sostituire. Dotazioni in linea con uno studentato, un po' povere in relazione al prezzo.

Clearly run by people who don't care about service or now anything about catering. Top of that didn't see cooked section till after had selected cold rubbish won't return or encourage others. Used to be great value now it's a rip off

Bar menu highly restricted (only two items available) and no food vending machines. Towels in bathroom were very small. Bed was acceptable but would have been uncomfortable for a longer stay. Overpriced for the condition.

• Chris (8/5): Great location with attentive staff and amazing value for money - Amazing my location and really well maintained. While a bit dated in places, the staff were wonderful and really invested in making the place as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. And the breakfast? Wow. A little dated but not to the detriment of the experience. Only real thing is that the TV didn’t work in our room but that didn’t matter; sure if we raised it, members of the facilities team would have raced to the room to fix it. Would value a list of instructions in the room that told us things like connecting to WiFi, reminders of breakfast times, vending machine locations, taxi numbers etc, but we worked it all out.

Friendly check in staff . Loved the daily newspapers available at reception area, nice touch to sit with a cuppa and read daily paper, before setting off for the day. Bedroom a bit too warm even leaving window open didn’t help.

• Jagger (8/5): We enjoyed our nights stay as a base for exploring St Andrews and I'd recommend it to others. - The rooms were clean and the included breakfast had lot of good choices. The room was a little cramped but it is as pictured so there's nothing deceptive about it.

The breakfast was amazing! As a vegetarian, I especially appreciated the plant-based options. The bed was not quite as comfortable as I hoped but it wasn't a problem for me.

• FERRARI (7/5): - Trattasi di alloggi presso università per cui tutto é in linea. Non bisogna aspettarsi lussi o particolarità. Il personale é gentile e disponibile. Le camere non sono grandi ma pulite e con il necessario. La colazione é adeguata ma ovviamente ci sono moltissime persone e si fa colazione su dei banconi con accanto altre persone. Non é vicinissima al centro ma si può raggiungere comunque a piedi in 10/15 minuti. Nel complesso esperienza positiva. Per il tipo di struttura non ci sono particolari lamentele.

• Caroline (9/5): Cheap, cheerful student accommodation that's great value for a summer stay in St Andrews. - Excellent price for a double room in August. The staff were helpful on arrival and were able to answer our questions. The room was basic, but very much as expected. Superior shower gel supplied! Pizza available at the bar in the evening, but so close to central St Andrews for other food options. Breakfast was great - lots of options: full cooked; gluten free station; cereals; cheese; bread and cold meat. Easy parking in the adjacent car park. Sound insulation between rooms wasn't great, but to be expected given that the main purpose of the accommodation is for students. Some people might find the refectory-style breakfast a bit hectic, but again, it's what we were expecting.

• Silvia (7/5): Tutto sommato non male. Il giusto compromesso per quanto pagato. I ragazzi alla reception sono gentilissimi. - Grande struttura, ottima posizione, colazione abbondante e buona. Le stanze sono un po’ vecchie, lo scarico del bagno non scaricava, bisognava utilizzare il secchio presente nella stanza.

• Tina (10/5): Great place, and all the staff are abosolutely great! - Breakfast was quite a wide range of options. I appreciated that there was at least instant decaf coffee and decaf tea, and there was a sugar free soy milk. The room was quite sufficient, had all that one needs, even a more spacious bathroom (than other dorms have). The mattress was still usable for a single person who is not too heavy; however, the springs (?) were quite audible and poking in some area. No matter if guest or student, I think a new mattress is necessary.
