Guest Reviews
- Jyssika (2/5): - Literally had other people’s shoes, dirty socks, leftovers (crumbs and sauce on the bed sheets/blankets/pillows), roach and mouse droppings in my room at the time of check all the time way to when I checked out even after telling them about everything. Plus had the great time of being charged double the price for it. Literally had to drive my child back home 3 hours and then back to the hotel to try to rectify it because I didn’t feel like he could safely sleep there.
- Thomas (8/5): - Good value for the price, the owner was polite and helpful.
- Tanya (2/5): - By far, the worst place I have ever stayed. There were roaches in the shower, rat's nest in the corner of the ceiling rafters and rat droppings in the floor. Drug deals and prostitutes were common place and they didn't even try to be discreet. People banged on our door at all hours of the day and night. They charged us $1000 for 4 days when they are actually $350 for a week!!!! The "housekeeper" looked like hee just escaped prison. Absolutely disgusting.
- Verified traveler (4/5): This motel is absolutely filthy - The rooms were disgusting. Drawers had broken fake fingernails in them as well as dirt and filth. The cabinet under the TV had old cans of food. The door to the room had space under it so it did not seal. There was no TV remote to even use the TV. The floor was dirty. One of my pillows had a crust on it. The towels for the room were dirty. The railing over the shower was rusted.
Just don't stay here. Its disgusting and filthy
- Brian (10/5): - Has everything I need-at a reasonable price.
- Marisue (8/5): - It was easy to find and easy to get to
- Myrta (6/5): My stay. - The property owner was very polite. Place was clean but many cockroaches around the property.
- Amanda (2/5): - The guy at the front desk is very rude. There was a lady banging on the door 4 AM. The maid is very kind. Overall terrible experience.
- Michael Neil (2/5): - The place was dirty. Sheets did not look like they were washed. Had to ask for toilet paper after arrival. The bathroom was a disaster, no show current, light was half broken and tub did not drain well so you had to hurry before you were standing in dirty water.
Only 2 lights actually worked in the room.
- T2036YMjonnym (2/5): Worst Motel in Daytona Beach FL!!! - This hotel charges wayyyy too much for their rooms and their weekly rates are a joke. This place needs to be shutdown. Cockroaches, dirty floors, dirty bathtub, overall disgusting! I filed complaint with our good friend at The State Attorney General Ashley Moody's Office and HUD. They are investigating this place thank God. DO NOT STAY HERE!
- Thomas (10/5): - Dirty but good staff and they were trying
- rose (10/5): - Property owners very friendly and accommodating!
- Michael (10/5): - The management and worker's were very professional and courteous. The room was clean the only negative was lighting in the room. Other than that everything was very nice.
- Diane (4/5): - Had a fridge and Microwave...no cups..room needed a thourough cleaning..dead roach on floor....Old Facility needs remodel.
- WILLIAM (2/5): - Did not even check in because it was nasty
- Joe (4/5): - No soap in bathroom and unclean, Not a good stop.
- John (2/5): - It took me nearly an hour to find someone to check me in despite the office being 24 hour, and no one would answer the phone when I called. The room was dirty, housekeeping does a very poor job. There was constant noise outside from other people staying here until 1am and made it very hard to fall asleep. But I guess that’s what you get with a cheap stay.
- Steven (10/5): - The rooms were large with 2 queen beds, Had a TV, sofa, table. Beds were comfortable. No Issues at all. Good price for Biktoberfest. Around $90 plus taxes per night
- Shannon (2/5): Nasty - It was dirty it has not been mopped or had clean sheets or had clean towels. It was just disgusting. I found a baby roach in the bed. I would not ever stay there again for what I paid it was ridiculous
- Shannon (8/5): Great Value and Location for Price - Great Value and location for the price. If you staying out and about all day this will work as it's only a place to rest your head with ac.
- Armando (2/5): - Why is Expedia promoting this place. The room was smelling bad. The sheets and pillowcases were dirty with stains. The bath towels were dirty. We stayed 2 nights and the room was not cleaned after the first night. I’m not sure I would trust Expedia for my next trip. Remove this dump from your site. Go visit and see for yourself
- Katrina (8/5): - My stay was great for Daytona bike week love everything, the staff was great friendly with anything you needed may sure you had clean towels and rags.
- paul (8/5): - It was close to were I needed to be
- Jeremy (2/5): Go somewhere else - No refrigerator, no ice machine, no shampoo, towels were nasty, pretty rough part of town
- Chevette (8/5): - Very old establishment but room was refurbished very nice. It was clean too. Needs microwave and refrigerator though. Coffee maker too. The ice machine doesn’t work either.
- adriannachristine11 (2/5): Completely disgusting - Bathroom was disgusting. Stains all over sheets, toilet did not work when we arrived, barely any toilet paper given to us (less than 1/2 a roll) and when I asked for another towel the one I was given had poop all over it. Actual poop. Extremely large gap under the door so any insect/roach/etc could crawl right in.
Would give it a 0 rating if I could
- William (4/5): - Terrible lighting in room. TV cable channel selection terrible. Receptacles partialy hanging out of walls.
- james (2/5): - Place should be con
- Timothy (2/5): Horrible - Worst hotel ever! The place was undergoing a remodel and we were not informed before booking. Got there after working all day and the room was not clean, the fridge wasnt even pluged in and was covered in mold. Smoke alarm was in the drawer and to top it off the window wouldn't close. They offered another room in the same condition and then finally offere a room that was a little better but still not cleaned. Again the window wouldn't shut and the ceilings hadent even been finished bc they had just finished the room. I asked for a refund and refused to give me a full refund charged me $84 for the night and i didnt even stay!
- Antonio (2/5): - The room I stayed was very dirty. The bathroom has not been cleaned, there were stains on the mirror and sink. There were exposed electrical wires in the room. And the neighborhood was loud with cars and trains running through the night. Terrible stay.
- Ronald (6/5): - Not a good place to stay.
- Robin (10/5): - Stayed here for biketober fest. It was perfect location close to the main st, easy access. The room was cleaner than expected. The staff was supper friendly even after being hit with the hurricane. Can’t wait till next year!
- Jessica (2/5): - Garbage and drug paraphernalia all over the ground outside. In room found crack pipe sitting on top of dresser under TV. Individual checking in was extremely rude and condescending. He was also very argumentative. There was no internet or tv. Place was a joke and should not be on your site for deals
- Sheryl (2/5): Condemn this place - It was filthy. Water seeping through floor. Dingy towels. Electrical outlets hanging from the wall..etc.
- Gilvani (6/5): - Fridge and tv, does not work at all!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I Made a Check in, but than I decided to Look for another hotel.
So, I didnt sleeped there.
What can I say.
The room was dirty.
The bathroom old and mit good looking.
Not my Standart.
- Nicole (2/5): Never again - There was no hot water, burn holes in the sheets, tv didn't work, the dead blot on the door didn't work to lock the door.
- Alindsay (2/5): Very mad about it… - When I got there there were no rooms available so I didn’t stay
- kristi (2/5): - This hotel was absolutely terrible. They didn’t even have the room type that we booked, the water was 200 degrees and burned me. The soap bar was broken and sharp. Holes in the walls, leaking AC. Ancient non working mini fridge. Staff was not helpful and didn’t seem to care about any of our issues. There was a teenager running the desk upon check out and I was told the manager was out of the country. This hotel shouldn’t even be on this website.
- angela (2/5): - Just didn’t enjoy my stay for the price I paid
- laurenmT4246OA (2/5): HAVENT EVEN MADE IT TO GHE HOTEL YET - DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. We haven’t even made it to the hotel yet and already are having terrible service! A foreign man answers the phone, not even a business answering service, just a “hello? What you want???” I had to ask if it was the Royal Inn! I thought I called the wrong number. He can’t understand anything you say and gives you zero answers or help. If you cancel the stay, the “property fee” for cancelling is the same amount you paid for the stay! So the stay is $88, the fee for cancelling is $88. Even if you get the insurance to cover if you cancel, you still pay the property fee. They won’t answer the phone for Travelocity and keep hanging up on them when they’re trying to facilitate my cancellation without the fee since we have the insurance. The place is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
- Faithjames (10/5): - Great experience thank you for a wonderful customer service and great room.
- Omar (10/5): - The young man at the front desk was friendly and smiled throughout. Check-in and check-out were efficient. It is a modest, no frills motel, perfect for an unpretentious overnight stay. I will return.
- Cheryle (4/5): - It was available at a last minute need to attend a family members funeral. For the price there should have more amenities, such as soap, toilet tissue towels bath mat etc.
- nikki (10/5): - Spacious room. Very clean. Bathroom looks to be redone. Looks great. Polite staff.
- Shaelyn (2/5): - It was dirty and smelly and not clean at all and there were bugs me and my boyfriend had to have the lights on all night
- Francis (4/5): - No hot water, had to ask for towels and wash cloth. No room service.
- Harold (6/5): - Motel is older and in need of repair... Clean..... TV did not work old appliances
- Donnie (8/5): Great deal for bikeweek! - Overall, not a bad little place! I mean it wasn't the Hilton or anything fancy but it wasn't $400 a night either! Rooms were nice sized, beds were comfortable! Price was great for bikeweek!
- Kenneth (4/5): - No Toilet Paper. No lamps No suffient electrical outlets. No Decent amenities.
- Addison (4/5): - dirty tv didn’t work cops came over because there was shooting apparently didn’t stay the last night
- BOBBY (6/5): - Ok
- Elizabeth (4/5): $90 & not worth it - Very run down hotel. For $90 I expected more, like glasses for water & toilet paper mounted on the wall, not on top of the towel rack. There was absolutely NO way that I would have showered there.
Glad we only booked it to have a place to sleep after the Daytona 500. It was close by the track. Would have liked to take a shower after the race.
Good for "spring vacation" college students.
- John (2/5): Don’t go there!!! - Semen stains on bed, curtains falling off the wall, not a clean place!!!
- David (10/5): - Been staying here for years and its the same as its been for years.
- Bobby (2/5): Nasty - It Had huge cockroaches and the service was terrible no one at the window to hand in our key or tell them about the roaches.
- Jon (2/5): - Totally dilapidated room, not enough linens, no coffee, no cups, no ice bucket, only shampoo for toiletries…. Will never stay ther again
- Mike (2/5): - TV did not work,....well it turned on but there was no cable connection, I had to go back to the office two different days because the card entry for the door did not work, there was only one light bulb working, no toilet paper in the holders, one roll of wrapped toilet paper on top of toilet, door was in bad shape and was binding on the frame, thankfully I saw no bugs. This place was anything BUT ROYAL!!!! The only good thing I can say is their parking lot lighting was very good!!!
- jason (10/5): - All in all, you get what you pay for. Our room was huge and comfortable. Were there dead bugs? Yes. It’s Florida and the Inn is surrounded by damp areas and trees. The AC was freezing cold, the fridge and microwave worked and the hot water was HOT. The front desk was helpful at all times. No, it isn’t a 5 star hotel, but if you’re looking for a decently priced place to sleep and be comfortable this is the place. 10/10 would stay here again. Just a side note ask to stay on the 300’s side if foot traffic and suspicious characters bother you. The two story side appears to be extended stay guests. Some with night time hobbies. Never was an issue for us though. All in all probably the best bang for the buck “doors on the outside” place I’ve stayed in a long time.
- Justin (2/5): - They said that Expedia was a rip off and to not use Expedia again for looking for rooms. They had more rooms available and they never checked my Expedia # just used my debit card @ 490 the Expedia wasn't used needed or looked at. 1st night got woke up by a girl screaming for help, stop please don't ran to the door thinking she was in need of help yet she was high on DRUGS FLIPPING OUT and was uncomfortable the whole time due to the keys being deactivated every time i left the room would have to get new key. It would have been awesome if I had known that they had no interest in my Expedia reservation cause that would've saved a 100 bucks. Motel was 80 a night and they said i used Expedia for nothing but a money game. It was 490 the Expedia fee which I was told not needed. Wouldn't recommend this for anyone who is looking for a safe place for kids adults or anyone who is not interested in drugs. Day 2 had a strange man knocking on my door asking for cash because he was dope sick. Watch your car and all belongings or it'll be gone. If someone from Expedia would contact me ASAP so I can prove what im typing TO HELP OTHERS NOT FALL INTO THIS UNSAFE DOPE MOTEL. 864 621 6258 864 599 0270. 1st and last time i use Expedia for anything. Not asking for a refund or anything just want people to know the TRUTH ABOUT THE WAY THEY PLAY WITH YOUR LIFE AND MONEY. SHAME ON ME FOR FALLING FOR THE BS BUT I HOPE NOBODY ELSE WILL.
- Sarah (2/5): - This place is hands down a dump! Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Dirty disgusting smelly and in a sketchy neighborhood stay far away
- Stephen (2/5): Never stay here ever again - If you want prostitutes bed bugs drugs police and wanting to go to jail this is the place where you need to be
- David (2/5): - That’s was the worst place I’ve been
- Steven (2/5): - Upon arriving I thought it strange there were no other cars parked. I was met by the female manager. I gave her my info, to include booking reservation #. She said they did not have a reservation. To her, it was “end of story”. While I was phoning Travelocity I saw numerous drug sells on the property. I also saw actions consistent with prostitution occurring in several rooms. This happened during a span of about 30 minutes. I am a retired cop so observing these events was too easy. But fun.
- barbara (6/5): - Towels dingy sheets had hair on them in the bed toilet was not clean no one got trash out room dirt towels was not taken I had to go get clean towels .
- barbara (6/5): - It was clean
- Andrew (2/5): Royal Inn Nightmare - Terrible! We ended up canceling and finfing anither mitel. 1st room keys didn't work in door. 2nd room had not been cleaned. Roaches on floor. 3rd room riaches on floor and jeys didn't work in door. We canceled and went elsewhere.
- Richard (6/5): Make sure the sheets are clean. - Across the way there was a motorcycle that came and went several times during the night. Seems there were several people in and out of that room all night My sheets had not been changed , foot dirt and the hair from whoever stayed in that room before me had left. It was 11 at night so I flipped the sheets over and got my sleep. For a man that stays in a motel 75 % of my life this was not a good experience for me. I didn't say a word to the man because I'm sure it wasn't him that was supposed to change the sheets. 90 bucks for dirty sheets. I would check the sheets before getting into bed. The rest of the room was clean and modern. To much money for such a nasty bed. My fault for not making a fuss but I was tired and had been up for 20 hours and didn't want to wait for the sheets to be changed or move everything to another room. When I checked out I wasn't even thanked by the young lady that took my key. She looked as if 8 woke he at 9:45 am. Maybe she was supposed to change the sheets. Not staying there again. .
- Theresa (2/5): Don’t do it!! Run!!!!!!!!!!! - This place was terrible! I am so surprised that Hotels.com would even have it on their site! I’ve been a member for sometime and was highly disappointed!!! Especially in the midst of COVID. People up all night in parking lot, talking bout guns, loud arguing over $20! Really! Staying there with out of state tags really made me nervous! Picture hanging off wall and sounded like next door was in bed with us! Almost $100 for this!!! I hardly ever post reviews but felt compelled to this time!!! What a nightmare!!! If not for fact I had been on road 17 hours, I would have left!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My room had large, dead cockroaches on the floor when I arrived. At least 8 of them. One bed had only a fitted sheet. The other bed had two sheets, but the one on the mattress was a foot too short for the mattress, meaning my lower legs were on the mattress. There were a few blood stains on the sheets and pillow cases. There was visible dirt and food residue (let's hope that's what it was) in the bed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - stayed here as a very last minute, cheap decision and was surprised! a lot better than what i was expecting, and the bathroom seemed to have a new toilet and sink which was nice. the floors in the whole room were something else…..definitely cannot walk barefoot in there. needs a good mopping. was surprisingly quiet as well.
- Abrahan (4/5): - I could not sleep. The room smell bad, not enough towels or paper towels . I had a really bad sore throat after . Worst night at a hotel.
- DR. Luis (2/5): The getto hotel - Unsafe area. People fighting phisical in my door. Owner ignore and he dont even call the police. Ladie was broken glass bottles on ground and nobody said anything
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No water drinking cups in room ...bath towels were too small for grown adult male ...
good grief !!!
was not told where i ce machine was located
- James (4/5): - There were dead palmetto bugs everywhere, one of the chairs was broken and the phone in the room didn't work. Very disappointed
- Helen (2/5): possible potential, very scarey at the present - This is a last resort type of place. It appears some people live here or hang out around here. It wasnt worth the money. Not a great atmosphere. I, personally, did not even feel safe.. No one sleeps, I'm watching my car as im writing this. Just not worth it.
- Ashley (6/5): Dirtiness - Roaches all around the room dirty towels still in the shower
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The size very quiet
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The surcharge fee needs to be listed on the booking so you know to get cash before hand..... also, no amenities. Bring your own. Which is fine, but there should be a notice. I’ve gotten more for less. Which again is fine.... but should be stated clearly no amenities
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty showers not working
- Brooke (2/5): Don’t stay here - Horrible place to stay. Sheets where nasty and covered in yellow stains and dead lizard and roaches everywhere.
- Taurus (8/5): - They renovated the bathroom so they're much nicer and they've always been a pretty decent size room lots of space and good beds
- kimberlyjA4074MY (2/5): Disgusting - The bathrooms weren't even cleaned there was still hair in the shower piss all over the toilets. I have allergies and the filters for the AC were black. They hadn't even clean the room at all I'm not sure that they even change the sheets and you have a 10 a.m. check out time
- Matthew (2/5): - My room hot robed lost all of my belongings
- Verified traveler (2/5): - this place is really run down , but it is two miles from the beach !
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was ok at best. The air conditioner didn't work really well, there were roaches alive and dead in the room and bathroom. No ice buckets to use use and to top it off there were people asking the guests if they had or needed drugs. They charge $10 extra for more than 2 people in a room with 2 beds. In my opinion it was a place to sleep, but wouldn't want to return there
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good place to rest and not far from Daytona International Speedway
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The first room #123 toilet I checked into was not clean. Room lighting and Wifi reception none.Changed to room #304. Cleaner toilet but had to leave door open to use wifi.Response from reception is not prompt.
- Keyawn (2/5): No way - Never again
- Pat (4/5): Don’t go to Royal Inn - Bad neighborhood. Old motel. Smelly carpet that aggravated my allergies. Noisy at night. Dirty towels. Expensive price
- Nikki (2/5): - The room was unclean and very hot even when we put the AC down to the lowest setting which was 60. It was also located in an unsafe place
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The manager was nice and wanted to be helpful but the area the hotel was located in was awful the air conditioning unit left space all the way around it and at night it sounded like you were sleeping in the street the shower had no cold water but the room it’s self was clean
- Angela V. (2/5): Never Again - The room was horrible. My husband and I didn’t feel comfortable there. The cover on the bed was awful we sat up in one spot together. We didn’t sleep well at all.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Worse place never stay in my life . Bug in the bed . Refrigerator not cold at all . I only like they have enough hot water
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Cheap rate, a/c was cold, half roll toilet paper, good tv and channel selection
- Bas (2/5): - Do not sleep here.
Very noisy and dirty.
Wast of money
- Johnny (10/5): My birthday - I enjoyed my weekend
- kenneth (8/5): My stay at the Royal - I have stayed here many times and they have really up the service and the looks of the place. They are really trying to make it a very nice place to stay. I would bring my wife here with no problems.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was the nastiest room I have ever seen in my life
- Teresia (6/5): - Clean well kept rooms. Just not walking distance to anything! WiFi was non existent. It was the first couple days of bike week, so it was to expensive.
