- Gek (10/5): - Would return to the same hotel because it was so walkable, close to the old center and relatively quiet even in the middle of the center. Didn't open the windows and balcony doors, so it must be the good sound proofing of the doors. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and airy. Furnished quite sparsely but the price was reasonable.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff was really nice and helpful. Could be nice with a sign in the reception with opening hours/be right back if staff are away helping somebody ☺️
- Peter (8/5): Hot August Nights - Location is fantastic. An easy 3-5 minute walk from the metro station and you’re right in the middle of Casco Viejo. Front desk staff was amazing. Cleaning supplies used have an over-powering odour. Those sensitive to scents might want to avoid. And the room was sweltering. Ceiling fan helped a lot.

El único pero es que no te extrañes si te piden allí depositar una fianza de 50€ “por si fumas en la habitación”. Cosa extrañísima que jamás nos había pasado en ningún otro hotel ni de 1 ni de 5 estrellas. Es cierto que a nosotros esa misma mañana nos aparece en la cuenta otra vez, pero no es habitual coger una fianza, sino como mucho el número de la tarjeta. Aparte de este pequeño inconveniente, la estancia perfecta.

- Linsey (10/5): Fabulous hotel in the perfect location - Absolutely fabulous location. Couple of minutes walk to the piazza. The underground is less than a minute walk. Lots of bars and food places. The hotel is spotless. Staff are lovely. And that bed. Oh my word, I wanted to take it with me to the next hotel! Most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in for a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The stairs are not for the faint hearted though!

Hotelli sijaitsee ravintoloiden yläpuolella ja kävelykadulta kuuluu ääniä. Ikkunat ovat kuitenkin niin hyvin eristetty, etteivät kadun äänet minua häirinneet. Herkkäunisen kannattaa kuitenkin huomioida, että vanhassa rakennuksessa kuuluu puurappusilla kävely aika hyvin lattian läpi ainakin ensimmäiseen kerrokseen, jossa nukuin juuri portaikon yläpuolella.

- MEGUMI (8/5): - メトロの駅から近く、旧市街のど真ん中にあります。建物は古いですが、中の設備は最新で、鍵はなく、玄関も自分の部屋も暗証番号であけるホテルです。冷蔵庫やポットなどはありません。 カフェやバル、スーパーマーケットが近くにあり、とても便利でした。 暖かいシャワーが使えるし、部屋もとても清潔で良かったです。 あまりに繁華街なので、夜は外が少し騒がしかったですが、私は気になる程ではありませんでした。 唯一の難点は、エレベーターがなく、古い階段なので荷物を持ち上げるのが少し大変だったことです。たた、私が泊まったのが1階だったので1つ上の階に上がるだけですみ、そこまで大変ではなかったです。

- PETER (10/5): Great stay; perfect for the solo traveller - Good bed, amazing shower, balcony overlooking the road and peace of mind for the duration of my stay --- could not ask for more. Everything in the city is in reasonable walking distance. Likely will return in a few days before heading back home.

Building is undergoing renovation so stairwell is dark and dingy, but don’t let this put you off…… rooms are fabulous, new and clean. Bathroom sparklingly clean, lots of hot water. Beds comfortable. Room very very quiet, no outside noise at all although street was bustling - very well insulated. Staff lovely and welcoming with good communication. A few things missing from room but I suspect these may come when renovation is complete. ie safe was locked (could have asked for it to be opened but it wasn’t a problem), no drinking glasses, a mini fridge for our water would be good and tea & coffee making would be really useful. Would definitely stay here again and would definately recommend due to location and comfort of room.

La muy cómoda, una maravilla. La calle es concurrida, la habitación era interior y se agradecía, no se escucha nada. Modernizaría un poquito los baños.

The agreed to us leaving luggage before and after our check in. The room was comfortable with good facilities and a great location. We were at the back of the hostel so despite building works and bars downstairs (at the front of the hostel) we couldn’t hear any of the noise. We’d stay again!

- María (8/5): Estancia genial - El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente, en pelo casco viejo y tiene cerca el metro. Las instalaciones son un poco antiguas pero lo que es la habitación esta muy bien y es moderna. Limpian la habitación todos los días y nos gustó el detalle de dejar gel y champú de Rituals. La habitación está bastante insonorizada pero igualmente por la noche escuchábamos los gritos de la gente, de todas formas pudimos descansar bien. Además, nos guardaron las maletas el último día. En general, nos fuimos muy contentos y si volvemos a Bilbao repetiremos.
- Jack (10/5): Great location for old town. - I booked this place due to the location and it didn’t disappoint! Rooms are basic, but very clean. My only slight annoyance was there was only one working plug socket in the room. Service was great. The guy behind the reception desk was super helpful, though had limited English. Noise was a bit of an issue in the night - I think that as there’s no soft furnishings anywhere sound just echoes throughout all rooms, slightly annoying but not a huge problem. If you’re looking for an affordable guesthouse and basing on an old town location I’d thoroughly recommend!

For alt det spændende var lige udenfor. Der var rent og pænt. Madrasserne og puder var meget komfortable. Personalet hjælpsomme og imødekommende. Værelset var på ingen måde prangende, men vi vil til enhver tid vælge at bo her. Til prisen er det et fund.

- Thomas (10/5): A very nice older hotel in the old city center - It is a nice older hotel in the old part of the city where only pedestrians are allowed. My room and bathroom were both large, the breakfast was a typical Spanish breakfast: coffee, fresh orange juice, a croissant and tostada with tomatoes and olive oil. There are two items to be aware of. First, there is no elevator and it is 26 stairs up to the lobby and 20 stairs up to each additional floor. Second, they do NOT have air conditioning, just a small fan in the room - I slept with the window open and fan at the foot of the bed with no sheet on, and it was still warm (they are having a heat wave in Europe). Otherwise, I found the hotel to be very nice and in a great location, less than 10 minute walk from the train station and with many restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

- Susan (10/5): Great location - Great little hotel right in the middle of casco viejo area. Plenty bars and restaurants on the street and nice plazas nearby, but no noise in the room. Staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast basic but ideal. We would definitely recommend for a weekend in Bilbao.

Entiendo ese hostal pueda tener clientes hagan ese tipo de irregularidades pero no deberian generalizar a todos y los encargados deberian ser mas amables

- Anna (8/5): - A well-priced family-run hotel in old town. The hotel offers a good breakfast (fresh orange juice, coffee, croissant, bread with butter and jam), toiletries. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue could be a noisy street, but only until 11 pm.

- Robert (8/5): Doable Bolbao hotel - Hotel is basic but doable for a couple of nights. In.the heart of the old town. Plenty places to eat and many bars next to hotel. Good base. Take some toiletries with you. Those sachets available are useless.

- Ernesto (8/5): Travel Back in Time on this Hostel - The location can't be beat. Inside the Casco Viejo of Bilbao is like traveling in time. Having said that, you will not find parking if you are driving, unless you park in the public underground at El Arenal a good 1.5 km from the hotel (we planned for that). During our arrival, the guy at the lobby was not very helpful when my wife had to carry the luggage three floors. As it is in a very lively area of the old town, you will have to deal with noise from the multiple restaurants around. That actually made it better for us. Anyone going to Bilbao's Casco Viejo for R&R, should better stay in the suburbs. Vascs are known for having dinner after 9 pm and pintxos and drinks well in to the early morning. We stayed up until 2 am and were able to have a good sleep after that. Be aware that the stairs are wood and may give a little, particularly if you are carrying heavy luggage.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Casco viejo - Located in the heart of casco viejo. One block from the metro station. Rooms were small but comfortable. No AC. Ok wi-fi. Staff was very helpful.

- Barbara (6/5): OK for budget very short stay - Every thing was OK BUT it has a spiral staircase that goes up 3 flight and I was on the second floor. The lights are metered but not long enough. The staff was kind enough to carry my luggage up and down. They were still difficult to navigate a hand rail only on one side and that side the stairs were uneven from wear. The bed was harder than most European beds. OK for a budget very short stay. Breakfast could be improved everything, which was only a small muffin and cookies all prepackaged but the coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice was good. The staff was pleasant.
- Stanley (8/5): Great price, in the middle of things - Breakfast is limited but worth the cost. Location is right by restaurants and shopping. I loved it, but if you want less noise you'd need to stay further out. Staff pleasant and charming.
