• Carley (9/5): So happy I booked here! - The staff was so friendly and enjoyable to be around! The location was excellent and very comfortable! The lighting in my room, specifically the bathroom/mirror area, was dimmer than I’d expected. This made it a little difficult to get ready in the morning while doing my makeup.

• Marie (10/5): - Springhill Suites is a hidden gem. The accommodations at this establishment exceeded our expectations from the staff to the delicious breakfast.
• Aubrey (9/5): Overall very nice - Location was convenient for our stay. The breakfast was good. Hotel was very clean, staff very professional. Shower head in the bath needed to be cleaned. Water sprayed in several directions. TV did not have all channels available.
• Hawkins (9/5): I would stay here again! - Every staff member we met was awesome! The room was very large and clean. The location was great. It’s a good option with such limited choices in Statesboro! Pricing soars around GSU home football games. The average rate is very fair for this hotel. Gameday weekends you’re paying Ritz Carlton prices. Also the breakfast lacked a lot to be desired, we ended up going out for breakfast.
• elizabethlQ8644DL (2/5): TERRIBLE - T v didn't work, only 1 ice maker for the entire 3 story hotel which off course was empty. In room phone didn't work. The employees seem not to care much about the poor hotel infrastructure.

• Judith (8/5): - Looked forward to a 3 night stay while in Statesboro. The room rate was higher than we were hoping to pay for this stay but the room was ready the first day and the breakfast was generous and delicious the next morning. Then came the disappointment-2 more nights in a room that was not serviced even when I made it clear at check in that we wanted clean towels daily and beds made, etc. Calls to the front desk explained their policy of doing room service every other day. Okay, then the next day we would have clean towels and waste baskets emptied and beds made. No! The cleaning crew was outside our door twice as we left but the front desk made another excuse that our room was not on their schedule but the other crew was not finished for the day yet. The front desk personnel delivered clean towels but the used ones stayed damp on the bathroom floor until I picked them up and placed them in the hallway on the 3rd morning. That pile was still there when we checked out the fourth morning. We had to ask for tissues as those ran out. When you pay over $650 for your 3 night stay, we didn't think it was unreasonable to expect the room service requested at check in. Very disappointed.

• sadieo913 (10/5): Best Hotel in Statesboro - I recently stayed here for a week and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so welcoming and always ready to help when needed, making check-in and check-out smooth and ready to answer any questions. The room was very clean, comfortable and well--kept and the location was perfect for exploring Statesboro and Georgia Southern's campus. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone!!

• Dathan (4/5): - This is a Marriott property so you go in with a certain expectation but we were extremely disappointed. The property is run down and poorly maintained. Staff is nice and knowledgeable but the building is old and severely beaten up. We paid 300 a night, a fair price would be 80ish. I strongly suggeat you look elsewhere.
• Kiamouse (4/5): Road trip. - Great location. Easy check in. Front desk staff were very friendly. Pool was not suitable for use. Room wasn’t up to standard in regard to cleanliness. Fridge wasn’t cleaned from previous guests.
• Vanessa (9/5): The house keeper the pregnant one made sure we had everything we needed. - The area I reserved a king prior to checking in and advised that it will be after midnight that I will be checking in but received 2 queens because the rooms was sold out but the queen beds which worked out fine since my daughter came along. Everything was good. The customer service at front desk needs to be better and a smile will go along way.

Keys didn't work for room 201, and we were switched to 209. 209 had only a King bed and there were 3 of us, and I had requested 2 beds with a couch. Finally, we were given room 204. The room right next to my daughter. Why weren't we given this room from the start?
• Gregory (8/5): - Very convenient to Georgia Southern University. Not the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in but maybe because it was so dark some things could be missed easily. Rooms older but sufficient. Loved that no extra charge for parking. Staff nice and very helpful.

You could tell that the shower needed a little bit of a remodel as there was small sign of water penetration on the drywall right outside the shower door. Breakfast was hot and included which helps when you have a family of 5 eating. All in all, a great stay.

• Chandra (5/5): Too much NOISE!!! - Convenient, close to college, gas and food. Noise level was terrible. Building structure must be cheap as well as windows. Not insulated very well ar all. Not able to rest properly due to extremely loud traffic noise and loud AC unit in rm. Bathroom could use caulking/paint touch up, as well as a few other areas.
• 604LisaB (10/5): Great Graduation Stay - We had a nice stay. Check in was super easy and staff was friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. We slept snug in the bed . Will definetly be staying here again next time we come to Statesboro. Want to give a shoutout to the Manager Stephanie- who went over and beyond to help me with an issue. Give her a raise Marriott!!!!
• Andre (6/5): Know before you go! - The front desk area was perfect. Once you pass that it start to go down hills. I stayed on the 3rd floor. Oh, before I forget, you do not get a fresh room and linens everyday. Only if you're there more then 3 nights. Now, on the way to the 3rd floor on of the elevators sounds like it's on the last leg once it get close to the three floor. Walking down the hallway to the room, there's a funky smell. The carpet needs to be steam cleaned. There are stains everywhere. I got to the room after a long drive and wanted to take a shower. The shower head needs to be replaced. It was clogged and shooting everywhere( it's very old). The bed was comfortable or I was just dog tired. I laid down in the bed and looked towards the door. It's not secured at the bottom. Someone can slid a camera underneath the it. Put a towel there for privacy.
• claudiadC4220NO (6/5): Great staff but clearly a lack of investment in keeping up the standards of this hotel. - Hotel definitely could use attention on furnishings (rusty lamp) and maintenance (wood glue on many broken pieces of furniture, plaster not sanded and painted, just roughly patched in places, stains on carpet). Wi-Fi did not reach every room and went in and out. But I came on to leave a review because I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. Desk clerks asked each time we went in and out if there was anything we needed (and quickly got us what we needed), breakfast staff was attentive and friendly, and the cleaning people asked if we needed anything when we walked down the hall as well. If we do stay here again, it would only be because of the staff, not the hotel itself.

• H4605BFmarke (2/5): Disgustingly filthy, no customer service, and possible fraud! - The hotel is filthy. Our room has so much dust on the couch that we had to put a sheet over it so we could sit down. There was caked dust and hair under the bed. There was no soap in bathroom. I was told by the front desk to come down and get some. He handed me one small bar in a plastic envelope. Later in the day, the head of cleaning came by and told us we needed a full cleaning. We were not able to allow the crew in to clean it fully, but would accept the standard room cleaning the next day. When we came back to the room the next evening, we found nothing was done -- no bed made, no towels, no vacuuming. We called and visited the front desk multiple times. The young men at the desk were not competent, and no manager was able to be found during our 2-day stay. When we checked out, we were charged the two nights as expected, but there was an additional $303 charge with no explanation. They said they were crediting it back to our card. After we got home, we found that the credit was not applied! We called the hotel many times and could not get a manager on the phone. The front desk kids put us on hold, hung up, or said the manager was not on duty over the weekend. We had to call our Credit Card company to dispute the charge. The Credit Card company blocked our account and are investigating the matter as fraud. We called Marriott Hotels to open a case. Hopefully they will investigate. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone stay at this hotel for any reason. If all other hotels are booked, it would be best to stay near Savannah and drive. PS: our niece also stayed at the hotel and there was urine embedded in the sheets. They did get a room change and were supposed to get a refund for one night. She never got that refund and has to contact her Credit Card company to report.

• leslieshearn (4/5): Not many choices for hotels in Statesboro. Try Airbnb maybe. - Second time staying at this hotel. My first experience was very good. My second experience was not so good. Had several problems. The bathroom vanity light was more like a night light. I had to take cold showers, and there were issues with the second locking mechanism on the hotel door; I was told this was a building wide issue regarding the doors. I did tell someone about as I was a single lady in a room, but it was not addressed while I was there. Also, the internet it terrible at this hotel. Absolutely terrible. Prepare to use your phone as a hotspot. Experienced the same problem on my first stay. Now to the issues that have taken up 2 1/2 hours of my time. Marriott sent an email for an upgrade, that I took, but actually it did not exist. When I arrived at the hotel and realized this upgrade did not exist, I asked to be put back to my original reservation. I was not but charged non Marriott rates. The local manager was involved while I was speaking to Marriott on the phone and each putting blame on the other. Marriott customer service awarded points for my inconvenience but the hotel refused to give me the price difference. No one wanted to refund me the money; according to Marriott, the local hotel would have to refund the price difference. The manager did not seem to want to offer the refund to my card so she offered 10,000 points for all the inconveniences I experienced. She did not honor her promise. I called Marriott customer service today to try and understand what happened, as I had corporate points added, the goodwill points were removed March 2 and was somehow downgraded from silver elite status, although the Marriott rep today said I was still silver elite, but my app says different. Mucky rusty orange is not silver. It’s difficult to find a clean place to stay in a college town and even harder to find a cost effective place to stay during event weekends bc the hotels triple their rates. Thursday night was 189, Friday night 489, and Saturday 294, and this is without all the taxes. 1132.71 for cold showers, unsafe doors, and night light for a vanity mirror.

• Josette (10/5): Great Choice in Statesboro if you are visiting GSU - Short weekend trip to visit my daughter in college. Hotel was busy with sports teams playing against GSU so it was busy. We go a quiet room at the far end of the hallway and it was great. Check in was easy - Andrew was wonderful. We will stay again when we come back up

• LaShoda (6/5): - I’m a Bonvoy member and am usually pleased with my stay at SpringHill suites, but we we didn’t have any warm/hot water. I do believe that the bathroom cleaning was skipped as there was dirt scum and soap scum on the spout and the shower floor. That breakfast options can be improved. The customer service staff were amazing. This was just unfortunate.

• C8215WVmarkw (2/5): Bad Bad Bad!!! - Booked a room on book online. Due to hurricane Helene I could not travel to Statesboro so I called book online to transfer reservation to a friend that was in Statesboro because his family lost power etc. Book online called the hotel and assured me they spoke with the hotel and everything was good. Friend wasn’t able to get the room and I was considered a “ No Show”!!! And surprise!!!! my room was non-refundable so I just filed a claim hopefully I will get my $815 back. I traveled the world for over 40 years and this is by far the worst experience I ever had which in my opinion is the most incompetent staff I have ever dealt with.
• markfrommer (4/5): Dirt and mold - This place needs a facelift and it needs to be cleaned better. Mold in shower. Dust, hair, food on boxspring at headboard. Has smells from musty damp environment and the whole place needs either gutted and redone or something. Will not go again.

Hotel was booked because of game and family visitation weekend, but she made my room request work. Breakfast was great. I will return. The hotel was quiet, bed was very comfortable, and it was clean. I recommend the hotel and will stay again. Just 2 cons: First con: internet was not good, but I used my phone as a hotspot, so problem solved. Second con: no housekeeping service. I know hotels cut back on housekeeping service when Covid occurred and also environmental factors. However, I was there 3 nights and had to track down my towels. I did speak with the front desk and they put the request in and I watched her write my room number down for housekeeping service. She did everything right, so the problem needs to go to the housekeeping manager. I think one night of housekeeping was sufficient for my stay and I didn’t get it. I still left a $20 tip because the room would be cleaned on my departure, but I wasn’t happy about it.
