Guest Reviews
- Sally (10/5): Valet parking (friendly and fast!) -
- Jennifer (6/5): -
- Rhonda (10/5): Comfortable, friendly accommodating staff, well appointed. - Room service was timely and the food was delicious. The location was very walkable to all the downtown attractions and restaurants.
The beds are amazing I was not displeased with anything
- Susan (8/5): Elegant hotel in great location, but staffing could be faster and better. - I liked the central location of this hotel. It’s elegant, with reasonably large rooms and L’Occitane products. The portion size and quality of the breakfast in the Safari room was very acceptable. Our Saturday server was exceptional - she knew we were in a hurry and gave us fresh coffee in to go cups. I also appreciated the garage was available till 6p on checkout day. The breakfast service at the Safari room was quite slow. Actually, very slow. It took about 45 minutes to get our food, leaving 15 minutes to eat before we had to leave. Also, the hotel initially denied breakfast was included, even though my booking.com reservation said it was. After I showed the confirmation email, the staff blamed communication with booking.com and said the info had not been transmitted. Lastly, $28 per day for parking seems high for Spokane.

- Wyatt (10/5): - Really like the interior design of the hotel, very elegant and fancy. Other than the parking was a little tricky to figure out that was about it
- Tamara (5/5): Never stay at the Towers again. AND no one has contacted me regarding this matter either. - Great breakfast at the grand! 2 rude valets at the tower!!!! Filthy sliding glass doors- not valets job I was informed! Valets did not touch our luggage........ rudest employees ever encountered the one did only say half a curse word tho;) disgusted. And our complaint hadn't reached any superior the next day nor did the bar charge for our drinks- not professional:(
- MaryRobertson212 (10/5): Quiet, spacious rooms, a welcoming stay. - Clean, spacious rooms with a nice view of Spokane. We stayed here five years ago and was glad to see it’s just as welcoming as it was. Also enjoyed my massage at the Davenport Hotel spa.
- Kris (10/5): -
- McDonald (10/5): - Clean, comfortable

- annafM8097EO (10/5): Thank you, Tyler! - I wanted to take a moment to let you know how amazing our valet was during our stay. Tyler Garvin went over and beyond to make sure our car was well taken care of. His friendly professional manner made it a pleasure to work with him. Thank you, Tyler!
- Bryan (10/5): -
- Donna (9/5): Stunning hotel, decor is worth the visit alone. - The decor is amazing. Really lux feel. The bar staff were excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. We went over to the other part of the hotel chain across the road, and it was equally impressive. Quite a lot of unhoused people around the area. We didn't feel super safe walking around later in the day.

- ellecB9799KI (10/5): Excellent Staff! - This was a lovely place to stay! Clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable. What really set it apart was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and prompt. Claire at the front desk stood out especially well - she was kind, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly!
- Catherine (9/5): -
- osborn (8/5): Not bad - Lobby was nice Could use more snack options
- Ron (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - In downtown
- 306taram (8/5): Elegance - Everything was breathtaking when you walk into the hotel, classy and beautiful… we got up to our room which was great till we needed to put food in fridge. It is a mini fridge with no freezer couldn’t fit our dinner boxes in it. On the ground. Hotel needs to invest in better fridge for room. Everything else great!
- Doreen (10/5): Friendly Clean place to stay. I will be back - Nice friendly place The staff
- Rose (10/5): -
- Vickie (2/5): The staff, bar service & food were all good. The room was awful! The shower had no water pressuren - Just had coffee & pastry at the hotel coffee shop. Our room location was awful! Our beds were right behind the elevators on the 15th floor. We couldn’t sleep all night because the doors kept opening & closing. This was supposed to be a gift for my husband’s 70th birthday.
- Keith (10/5): -
- Stephanie (9/5): -
- Judith (10/5): Peaceful, safe and amazing. - We loved it! Comfy and peaceful. Had a drink and dessert in the bar and it was amazing! We loved everything.
- Willow (10/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): Staff nice, clean rooms, nice pool. - Pool
- David (8/5): The stay was nice, the room was clean. Elevator broke down, food too expensive. Maid walked in on us - Nice room and amenities! Restaurant food was mediocre and was way way way overpriced!!! I could have went to better fine dining within 5 min for 1/4 of the price.
- Terry (6/5): Very disappointed for the price you pay to stay in a "luxury" hotel. Probably wont stay there again - Bed was very comfortable and the shower was very nice The soap dispenser in both the shower and sink was empty; the safe did not work, the freezer in the refer was so frozen over the door would not shut, the ice machine on the floor was also inoperable, they forgot to service the room the first night and the sheets on the bed appeared to be the wrong size and did not fit.
- Cox (10/5): Highly recommend this place for both people and their four-legged friends! - We had such a wonderful stay! The bed was incredibly comfortable — one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a hotel. Room service was hot, fresh, and delicious, which made it so easy to relax and unwind after a long day. But the best part? This hotel is beyond dog friendly. Our pup was welcomed with open arms, and it made traveling with her such a joy. From the cozy accommodations to the thoughtful service, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend this place for both people and their four-legged friends! Everything was wonderful.
- WILLIAM (3/5): Disappointed - Upgraded property in good location with good onsite facilities Clock not functioning, frig broken, (froze our food and drinks, urine on floor in WC,, only two bath towels and two wash cloths, delayed response by staff
- Carrie (2/5): - I was charged plenty of fees through booking.com. Then I get to the Davenport to just receive MORE fees!!!! Including a “destination” fee!!?! Total crap. Unbelievable. I will not be returning to any of your properties. Then the crap few of “use it or lose it”. UNREAL!!! Not worth the additional $100 fees in all. What a scam! Bull crap extra fees!!! Have already paid plenty of fees through booking.com. Then to arrive and have another slew of bullshit fees! “Destination” fee??! so you’re charging me to drive myself there and pay over $30 in parking. Then the bullshit fee of “use it or lose it“ which was an additional $50 to only receive 20 of it back! Absolutely absurd, so ridiculous. I will definitely be sharing my extended amount of fees story with everyone I know! I have stated to Davenport every time I go to Spokane and I’ve never been this screwed over. I will never return to your establishment again. Unbelievable I cannot believe anyone would tolerate that! I feel sorry for your staff to have to try to explain those fees!! Absolutely unbelievable

- Lori (10/5): Perfect New Years Eve! - Location is great downtown Nothing
- Derek and Jennifer (9/5): Nice, convenient place to stay for downtown Christmas experience - Friendly Elevators were kinda dirty, and the one in the parking garage was gross too
- Aaron (10/5): -
- Svitlana (10/5): -
- Lisa (7/5): We have stayed at the Davenport Tower many times over the years and have always enjoyed our stay! - We love the location, the staff and the comfortable beds! The rooms really need some updating! We’ve stayed here many times over the years and it just needs some updating!
- Autumn Young (10/5): -
- Simonson (10/5): An enjoyable stay. - Meals and drinks were excellent. Valet parking attendant very helpful. Courteous and friendly front desk staff. Vending machine was not working. Indirect light out above one bed. Remote control didn't work. Took a bit since maintenance didn't have batteries onsite. No housekeeping service. One recumbent bike in the fitness center didn't work.
- Megan (9/5): -
- Doug (10/5): -
- Jerry (9/5): -
- Sally (10/5): Birthday celebration to remember!! - Everything Nothing
- Dan (10/5): Great property and location. - Room was immaculate and the staff were amazing. Located in downtown Spokane so lots of options for restaurants though the restaurant in the hotel is very good. This will be our choice for future stays in Spokane.
- mearao428 (4/5): Nickel and dimed at every turn - do not recommend - First I would like to note that all of the staff we dealt with at the hotel were perfectly friendly and helpful. This is not a reflection on them, rather it is a reflection on the management and pricing of this hotel. I DO NOT recommend the Davenport Tower if you are interested in getting a good value for the very large amount of money you have to spend. I spent nearly $800 for a 3-night stay and felt nickel and dimed at *literally* every turn. I had no other option as I was staying as part of a conference, but I wish I had stayed at a mid-rate corporate hotel chain. I will have to break this into categories:
Check in:
- We arrived several hours early, and asked if the room happened to be ready. Great news - they said it was ready! They then proceeded to tell us that we could check in early for a $100 fee. This would have been a great opportunity for some positive customer service since *the room was already ready*. Instead they tried to get more money out of us.
- There is a mandatory $20 "destination amenity fee" which includes a $10 credit to their in-house dining, but of course $10 doesn't cover anything for two people, so they're really just trying to make you spend more money at their extremely overpriced restaurant and bar.
- They add a $50 per night deposit to your total (which is never mentioned in advance), putting me in the uncomfortable position of having to ask why my total looked so high when I put my card down at check-in.
Lacking the standard amenities of a budget hotel:
- Was there free continental breakfast and coffee in the lobby? Nope. Just their overpriced coffee shop and dining options.
- Was there a vending machine so you could get a late-night bag of chips? Of course not. A room labeled "ice and soda" just had an extremely rusty, corroded ice maker.
Room quality:
- The room was not all carpeted, there was a thin and basic carpet right underneath the bed, and the rest was cold fake wood.
- The lighting could not have been more horrible - the "bedside" lighting was two LED lights that point DIRECTLY down into your eyes when you are lying in the bed. Having them on was like being in an interrogation room.
- They gave us 5 pillows (for two people) and they were absolutely terrible. 2 were almost decent, and then 3 were basically flattened as soon as you put your head on them.
- Shower temperature was wildly erratic - would get cold for no reason, then steaming hot again.
- Had to unplug the loudly buzzing mini-fridge in the night to be able to sleep.
It sounds like the Davenport company is a major player in Spokane, and it is a real disappointment to have what seems like a local company be so inferior to the service we would have gotten at a mid-level corporate chain hotel like the Holiday Inn. If the stay had not been so expensive, I would not be so upset about it. But from the pictures of the hotel I was excited for a luxurious stay that would make the money feel worth it. It couldn't have been more different.
- Marian (10/5): -
- L7515WIkevinn (2/5): Disappointed by Early Departure Fee Policy - I recently booked a two-night stay at this Marriott but ended up completing my work a day early and checked out after just one night. At checkout, the front desk staff thanked me and emailed my receipt—without any mention of additional charges. Later, I discovered a $130 fee per room (for two rooms) had been added due to what they considered a “late cancellation.”
To be clear, I didn’t cancel—I stayed one night and simply departed early. Marriott’s 48-hour cancellation policy was cited as the reason, but that policy should apply to cancellations, not early departures. When I called to clarify, the front desk reiterated the charge without acknowledging the distinction.
This experience has left me questioning whether I’ll stay at a Marriott again. Charging guests for nights they didn’t use—especially without clear communication—is disappointing to say the least!
- Wilson (4/5): - The elevator banged all night and morning and we didnt sleep much.
- Kristi (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Amy (10/5): -
- Jinwoo (8/5): -
- Norton (8/5): Nice hotel for a short conference weekend stay. - Bed was comfortable and the staff was helpful. Large rooms too. Olie (spelling) in the Safari Bar was beyond amazing, she made the stay in the hotel a really pleasant one. There were cleaning carts everywhere. The elevator would open and there would be a cart blocking the door. Not just on our floor- but throughout the floors. We were on 19 and had to walk around them several times. I am hoping it was just a bad timing on my schedule- but it seemed odd.
- Patricia (6/5): - Cleaning staff needs help. Hotel itself is beautiful
- Will (8/5): - Clean room with mirrors everywhere! Staff were friendly while heing helpful. Plenty spaces to work or eat in the lobby area. The safari animal theme was a classy touch.
- Jennifer (2/5): - Gave us a smoke smelling room and our check in was
- Juan (6/5): - Room was dirty it was a empty box behind the curtains
- BRIAN (8/5): - Great staff food is ok lots of homeless close by and place to take dogs is small and not a very safe feeling had one issue with a person but I’m a big guy and he left.
- Janice (9/5): Enjoy our stay very much and will return again. - Beautiful, clean and a warm relaxing feel.
- Gill (9/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): - Close to mall and restaurants in the heart of the city.
- Brianna (10/5): - The rooms are perfect and the common spaces are beautiful
- EVA (8/5): - My Travelocity reservation stated it included "breakfast for 2" as part of the reservation. The hotel property said the room included "one $10.00 food credit". (Or, $5.00 each for the 2 of us.) Nothing other than black coffee would be covered with $5,00 a piece. Essentially, there was nothing more included in the reservation other than the room.
I also missed that the property had a daily fee which was not included in my reservation. Parking was also needed on top of everythjng. All said, cost-wise, my quoted Travelociy cost was quite below my actual fees paid to the propery.
Nice hotel. Clean. Convenient to Riverfront Mall and park
- RUSSELL (10/5): - The hotel was wonderful. The hotel employees were very nice and helpful.
- Nieves (10/5): -
- Janerider (10/5): -
- Buffington (10/5): - One suggestion: buy softer toilet paper
- Emily (6/5): - I expected a very clean room but you could tell they do a simple clean rather than a deep clean. The mirrors needed a better clean (the one by the sink still had marks from toothpaste hitting it). The toilet paper holder seemed to be falling off the wall. It was generally clean but not as clean or nice as expected. The towels and robes are very rough and scratchy.
For the room rate, the $10 dining credit seemed insignificant (it wouldn’t even cover a drink at the bar!). If you pay for breakfast ahead of time, you only get 1 option on the menu rather than anything. The service at breakfast was subpar at best. They barely check in on you and are slow! I sat with an empty coffee cup for quite a while.
They say they validate parking but all it does is add it to your final bill.
For the rate, I would find a different hotel. I was not impressed.
- Laurel (10/5): - The decor is lovely and dinner was wonderful, especially after a long drive. The shower and bed were amazing and the staff has been lovely. We hope to be back.
- Adam (8/5): - It’s OK, but it was very uncomfortable. Wish I was able to stay another night if I could afford it staff was nice. That was unexpected to pay $110. Deposit
- Tom (10/5): Great location- will come back. - Great room with lots of space. My wife loved the big open shower.
Hotel lobby was spacious and the hotel bar was staffed with friendly knowledgeable people.
Starbucks in the hotel was also a bonus- good breakfast options.
Insofar as lunch or dinner several good places within a block or two. Last night of our stay tried Churchill and it was top notch.
- Karen (10/5): - Front desk had only one employee working every tome I passed by. Lines were very long to check in. Its a huge hotel, needs more check in clerks particularly after 4 pm
- Craig (8/5): - All good except don't give me a handicap room when we're not handicapped. All the respect to handicap people but give us a normal room with a bathtub.
- Yujen (2/5): - Overbooked. Sent me and two kids to another property and split us in to two rooms leaving my 13 in a room by herself. No refund
- Lisa (10/5): - Very nice hotel … short staffed though I think .. long waits for checkin and we had prearranged that our room would be cleaned daily but it wasn’t .. everything else was good! Food, drinks, etc..
- Susan (9/5): - I've stayed here several time when passing through Spokane driving from BC to Ohio. This is a great location, lovely facilities, and wonderful staff. The bar is a real plus. I will certainly stay again. I wish breakfast were included.
- Jürgen (9/5): -
- Arthur (8/5): - Good location and services and pleasant staff.
- Emelda (10/5): - Easy check in, pleasent staff, beautiful hotel.
Avoid walking my dog to far from hotel, close to unsure people asking for handouts.
- Adilene (10/5): - Great hotel
- Reece (10/5): - The staff was extremely friendly
- Max (8/5): -
- Trisha (8/5): - Not as high quality as previous experiences. I expected more from Davenport.
