Willi (1/5): Ein Hotel das man meiden soll. Man kann das Frühstück nicht essen und es ist so laut, dass man nicht schlafen kann. Die - Es war extrem laut. Ich konnte nicht schlafen und musste nach einer Nacht ausziehen, weil links und rechts hatten die laute Musik gemacht in den Zimmer haben umher geschrien Gar nichts hat mir gefallen. Das Frühstück war furchtbar.

Poor breakfast, no sausages first morning, coffee was chargeable other than the sachet type. AC in one of the rooms was faulty and not repaired, instead switched off. Would have gladly paid a little more to have the basic essentials.

Coffee was premixed in packets, not just pure coffee. It didn't taste too well. I could hear other occupants entering their rooms on the same floor but they overall they were respectful and kept quiet. There was only one instance where they had a very loud party next door. I went to the reception desk and they gave me a different room for that night on a different floor.

When my neighbors went to the bathroom, I could hear everything, and when they came back to the hotel late at night and were smoking, the smell came into my room. Then, for some reason, there was maintenance going on at 8:30 in the morning. Hammering and grinding/sawing. That wasn't pleasant to wake up to. The bed was harder than I like (not a mark against them, that's a personal preference thing.)

Mark (5/5): Passable - Not the best place we have stayed, i had them book a driver from the airport, didn't show, found our own transport , when I told them they didn't care, the pool was closed, part of the reason I booked the hotel, bed really hard, left an open bag of mixed nuts on side table it got infested with some sort of bugs, aircon was less than average, breakfast ok coffee terribly location great. I would not stay there again.

Room was a good size for the area (king deluxe river view room) Not enough room to say what we did not like. In 50 years of Intl travelling it's the first time I ignored the free breakfast and went out to buy one. - no proper coffee unless you pay extra for it. Criminal. Nescafé is NOT coffee. No proper kitchen anymore. Limited choices. Greasy Joe's. - pool advertised. No pool. Booking.com are complicit in this rip off too. They will hear from lawyers! - Rooftop bar. Non existent. - No room service. No hospitality supplies. No phone in the room to contact reception etc. - Don't book these guys from B.com. a complete rip off. Equivalent hotels next door and all around starting at $15US a night. - They don't understand hospitality in any form. Sulky unhelpful, resentful. Could possibly run a backpacker's but I don't know many this bad. - in the middle of the red light district if that's your go but the hotel next door or behind is a quarter of the price. There is nothing wrong with what they provide except the lies around it from them and booking engines prevents the customer making an informed decision. There are lots nicer cheaper hotels within 10 mins walk in any direction. Photo of menu from excellent restaurant just round the corner and turn left up main road. Or stop at Au Coin (On the Corner) Frenchy + $3.50 Brekky, eggs bacon, toast, juice, coffee! AND very edible.

Claire (7/5): Good location and wonderful staff - Nice location around loads of restaurants and night life, but not too noisy. The glass balcony door in the room blocked out all the noisy from outside when closed. 2 bottles of water a day included, comfy bed and nice hot shower. Breakfast was not the best - instant sweet sachet coffee included, have to pay for a real cup of coffee. We booked a ‘high floor’ with a river view and were out on the 3rd floor (out of 9). When we asked we switched to the 6th floor and told that was the highest floor (when clearly there were 9). You can see the river if you lean over the balcony and look to the right. Photos a bit miss leading here. The pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance which was so disappointing but it needs to be done at some point I guess - we just got unlucky. The roof bar looked old and unused so the photos are a little misleading. Staff were wonderful and very helpful.

The shower is just open in the bathroom making everything wet. The pool was closed and empty during my stay. Undergoing technical repairs the staff said. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for use of a pool.

Jeroen (8/5): Comfy mid level stay in the bustling bar area - I stayed multiple times at this hotel. Rooms in different price classes are really different. This time I stayed for 44 USD/ night through booking.com in a room at the upper floors. Clearly better room with true river-view. I really like the wooden counter to work on, because I had to do some reporting. Bathroom also a better setup. I will pay the extra and take the upper floors next time. It was all ok. Don't expect perfect silence before the bars close around 2 am. I found it a perfect city background noise after a busy day.

Tony (9/5): I had a great stay at Phuminh hotel again. - I like this hotel because the room is very comfortable and great value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is really nice to cool off in, and the location is very good close to night life, many restaurants, and the prominade along the river. when i was there the rooftop pool bar was closed, hopefully it will be open on my next visit.
Diverd (8/5): Very good - Room is big enough, clean with a nice balcony view on the river Even though the room is on a street that gets busy with nightlife, it is not too noisy. got an early check in without problems. Lots of restaurants around the area. There are some things which could clearly be improved, but overall it is not negative enough to avoid (See below). Some details: there was no soap bar, only small bottles of bath bubble soap and shampoo-- a soap bar would be nice to wash hands and bigger bottles of body soap... One of the toothbrush packages had the toothpaste container rip open when I opened it, it was all dried out... The breakfast (included) is very low quality: either 2 toast with butter or some "yogourt with honey" which is only 2 commercial yogurts emptied directly from their plastic containers onto your plate... Nothing to sustain you. THere was a choice also of noodle + egg (which would have been the better choice, even though they are instant noodles from a sachet...) but I was not in the mood for noodles. Coffee was awful. A canned coffee or instant coffee would have been better.
