Guest Reviews
- Phil (8/5): - Great food
- Sally (8/5): - Pleasant stay and lovely Thai lady who was very accommodating. Accommodation has everything you need but overall the property is tired and is need of some TLC and attention to bring it up to date .
- sitharthan (10/5): - Safe, quiet place with excellent food and customer care
- Simon (10/5): Fantastic!!! - Friendly, fantastic price and great location and huge beer garden. Will be booking again
- donna (6/5): Highs and lows - I must first of all say the staff are lovely and the food was good pub food. Now for the room! I have never experienced staying in a room when the people next door flush the Loo, take a shower and turn on a tap creates a ridiculously loud noise in the room i was staying in. I had very little sleep. I travel every week for work and stay in similar places this at over £112.50 including breakfast was very expensive the room was incredibly basic, bed was not comfortable, no fan and it was warm. No room snacks or water, tea bags handed and in a tin. As i said all very basic. Oh and you need to be very small to use the bathroom smallest i have ever seen. To top off a sleepless night we then stood in the car park for just over 15 mins waiting for them to get up to have breakfast along with other guests. This then made us late for our meeting. To finish on a high the pub is in a lovely location and would be ideal for walking break.
- Robert (10/5): - It really was a fantastic stop over in every way.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Lovely relaxing good evening good options.very rural experience fantastic
- Debra (10/5): Six Bells - Staff were lovely and friendly - food was excellent and great service.
Rooms were comfy if a little basic, but would stay there again.
- Daryl (10/5): Nice quiet stay - Very friendly staff and the owner as a chef was great. Nice quiet place to stay, no road noise.
- Lee (10/5): - lovely stay
- Callum (10/5): - Friendly staff, nice rooms
- kelly (10/5): - Stayed here for a night recently. Rooms and decor are clean, tidy and comfortable and in keeping with the buildings age. The small team are all very welcoming , friendly and extremely hospitable , making you feel at ease and comfortable without being excessively ott. The evening menu was very well presented and of excellent quality. Breakfast was again very well organised with all the expected ingredients of continental and cooked elements with a variety of coffees , teas and juices . Beautiful location , very “darling buds of May”. The only thing you should be aware of is the restaurant and bar open after 6pm so if you arrive earlier in the day for a lunchtime meal or drink you’ll have to pop to one of the other local pubs.
- Keith (10/5): All good - All went well.
- John (8/5): - Peaceful retreat in a beautiful English village
- David (8/5): One night business trip - Wi fi might not work in room, depending on which room you are in.
Breakfast good.
Evening Meal was great.
Traditional village pub feel.
Close to major road link.
- K (8/5): Well worth a visit - The hotel was delightful, the rooms were a good size and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food plentiful. A very enjoyable stay.
- Max (10/5): Peaceful with Great Grub - Peace & Tranquility , great place , top nosh & plentiful. Breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious. Highly Recommended
- SIMON (10/5): - clean tidy food fantastic
- Lee (10/5): - The Hotel is a quaint little old fashioned place in what can only be described as the middle of nowhere. The room was very comfortable and does everything you need from a hotel room.
They could put some shower gel in the bathroom though. It was unusual not to find those small extras.
- Scott (10/5): Outstanding Food!! - What a lovely little hidden gem!
Beautiful little hotel & bar, absolutely outstanding food, friendly staff, couldn't do enough to help.
Will definitely be using this hotel again for business.

- Chris (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by Six Bells. Food was really good, staff were friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t the most luxurious, but was clean and in good order. I would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area
- Glenn (10/5): Quiet relaxing stay - Our room was spacious and located on a courtyard away from the main building. The restaurant was quiet so we had a good night's rest. The breakfast was just scrumptious.
- joan (8/5): - Comfortable clean and quiet breakfast was good only criticism not told what was on offer had to ask a small menu would have been good
- Lisa (10/5): - The property was lovely.

Dinner choices were very good and tasty. Breakfast was great and plentiful with good choices. Thank you for a lovely stay will be back
- Paul (6/5): Convenient location for our needs - The area that six bells is located is beautiful, however the venue needs some TLC for the price paid.
Breakfast was very good.
- Susan (10/5): Lovely Suffolk stay - Had a lovely stay at the Six Bells, it was very homely and welcoming, relaxed bar area, good food and service.

- Will (8/5): - The property was clean, comfortable, quiet and in a lovely location. The staff members I met only briefly were welcoming, friendly, efficient and the breakfast was very good. The lady who served it was particularly friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff attentive and generally efficient. Made to feel welcome but a little forgetful at eating times and service could be slow.
- tom (8/5): Tom at the six bells - Nice room, very quiet setting. Vastly over priced
- Steven (10/5): Welcome peace. - Arrived late, no complaints. Beeakfast good, room comfy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Although it is sold as a pub there was no bar service until 6.30 on both nights we stayed ,when the local help arrived.
Dinner was ok but not quite as the menu ,breakfast was very good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a lovely oasis in the countryside with a great family running the property
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, quiet, quirky.
Nice food and good beer.
- Kieren (6/5): Disappointed - The rooms are dated and cold. Had a meal there thought I'd ordered a child's portion .
We asked if we could have some sausage sandwiches for breakfast to take away these were cold fresh out of fridge not hot as promised very disappointed!! No stars from me.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good food. Friendly helpful staff. Attractive location
- Brian (8/5): - great overnight stopover
- Dave (10/5): - Charming country pub in a peaceful rural location clean comfortable rooms ,good food and friendly staff we would definitely book again
- colin (10/5): two night stay - Very nice , room was comfortable and clean . Tea and coffee making facility . Comfortable bed . Great breakfast and good selection to choose from. Lovely old pub , could not find fault with our two night stay
. would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent stay - Excellent stay
- carol (4/5): Hard to find - It was a cute building, historic. People nice and friendly. Food was excellent, the pub area very nice. Our room was not great. Beds were very saggy, curtains not hung properly, and didn't cover window well. It smelled and felt very damp. Bathroom could use a Reno. Shower so small, couldn't bend down to wash feet or barely turn around. Maybe other rooms were better.
- paul (6/5): Okay hotel - Nice and peaceful bed not very comfortable breakfast okay nothing special but okay for nights stay. Evening meal in restaurant average for prices paid.
- Tony (10/5): Wonderful Stay ! - From entering the Hotel through the meal the stay over and breakfast the friendliness made the stay so fantastic.
- John (10/5): Would recommend - We had a really nice stay. Lovely, quiet setting, with beautiful gardens.
Breakfast served in the conservatory was a definite 10.
All in all - a great stay
- Andy (8/5): Great rooms and service very quiet - Great room and service very quiet area
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Though only a small village well placed to visit the Suffolk area.
- Andy (10/5): Lovely location - Lovely staff, room was very lovely, very clean and very comfortable.
Restaurant and food was good, could do with a bit more atmosphere though in the restaurant. Location was excellent for everything. Will be going back again.
