- Chasrini (10/5): Enjoyed our 4 nights stay in BeingSattva. Nice relaxing stay, Worth it - The spacious campus is in a quite location. The ambience created is relaxing. The Rooms are well appointed and spacious. We had the one with a private pool. Was very refreshing to take a dip post the days activities. The breakfast is nice and simple. The buffet and the main course were good, both in taste and quantity. The staff is very polite and helpful. Arranged for 2 days car for sight seeing which was very useful. The complimentary car shuttle to Ubud main market is helpful. In all these, they have kept an eye on waste. Main course in the breakfast to be ordered earlier and not just kept as part of the buffet (ends up with a lot of waste), have to tell prior for the shuttle to Ubud is nice. Small steps to reduce waste Just takes a bit of time reaching it from the airport ( traffic ). But worth it.

- ANURADHA (10/5): Truly worthwhile and memorable! - Excellent stay. Beautiful location and property. Personalised attention to every requirement. The pool was dreamy with a backdrop of the wilderness. Availability of vegetarian and vegan food, including South Indian meals was a wonderful surprise. Renuka and Subba the founders were very friendly and generous. The best thing was their invite to attend the local temple festival. What a rare experience it was! The staff are very kind, I do recollect interactions with Mona and Soni rather well. The spa team is also proficient, a rather relaxing overall stay, and made Bali very memorable. The sole complaint is that the wooden floors had a polish that made them rather slippery. Even the chairs in room kept slipping unless supported by a wall.

I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere, the peace and quietness of this place, and gratefully received a very personal service in any sense. The veggie food was varied, presented in an interesting way and widely very tasty. The yoga teachers were also all really good, and I enjoyed the diversity of their approaches. I definitely can't praise enough the entire super friendly and always helpfull stuff, the very well maintained area, the wonderfull architecture - e.g. the super Yoga Space - andandand. Don't miss check it out. A wonderfully peaceful and unpretentious island in the wider area surrounding the utterly overcrowded Ubud. Thanks again to the entire Team, Christian Spork (Germany)

We had a retreat here and this was a perfect place for a peaceful time. This place can be perfect for hosting a retreat or family holidays. Soni Komang and everyone took very good care of us. Soni helped me get a tattoo artist and I got tatted ! We didn't feel we were in a resort. The CEO, Renuka, is personally involved in the menu and food prep, and the gardens and rooms are a full reflection of her attention to detail. The vegetarian meals were lovely—including the tempeh burger :-). The staff are incredibly attentive, especially Mona, Soni, and Komang. Mona and Soni are sharp as tacks and incredibly friendly. Komang went above and beyond—she chased my cab down on her scooter since I had left something behind. Loved the activities. The spa and massages are lovely—the massage beds open out into the garden, which is amazing. The fresh water pool is cool and refreshing. Excursions included Pura Gunung Kawi Tempaksiring (a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 1,000 steps down but just lovely), Manuaba Waterfall (wading through it is not to be missed), and Ulun Danu Beratan (Lake temple), which is stunning and built for Instagram. We had a pizza on the way back, overlooking panoramic tiered rice fields. On our third day, we did a class 2/3 rapid on the Ayung river—stunning. Overall, I plan to be back—Sattva is a special place, and the owners, Renuka and Subba, take personal hosting to another level!

In particular, Soni, Komang and Dewa went above and beyond during our stay with their honest, personal interactions and were always approachable and knowledgeable. - Twisk (8/5): - De rust. Het fantastische personeel, zo aardig en behulpzaam. Verder de ruime kamers met uitzicht rondom op jungle en rijstvelden. Het was er heerlijk rustig, met alleen de geluiden uit de bossen direct naast het balkon, en terwijl het ongelooflijk drukke, chaotische Ubud gemakkelijk en snel bereikbaar was met een taxi. Het restaurant was ook comfortabel en mooi, net als het hele terrein trouwens. Schitterend zwembad. Het hotel is een prima plek om het noordelijke gedeelte van Bali te ontdekken. Het eten was prima, maar de porties echt te klein, zeker gezien de prijzen die nogal hoog waren. Verder moet je wel houden van de behoorlijk aanwezige spirituele sfeer die er hangt. Dat heeft vooral met de aanwezigheid van de eigenaar te maken. Dit hadden we ons helaas niet goed gerealiseerd bij het boeken van dit hotel.

The bedroom was amazing, especially the outside bathroom. I went to the 7:00am yoga class every morning which was brilliant and such a great way to start the day. The location was great as it was near the centre of Ubud and easy to get to, but not in the busy town centre.

The staff were truly wonderful and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and supported. The food was also a key part of our experience. It was amazingly presented, healthy and fresh. Beingsattvaa embodied compassion and peace in their grounds, their rooms, the service, and the food. We will definitely return.
- Trekker16 (10/5): A Tranquil Paradise - I was there in BeingSattva for a retreat in March 2025. I loved the ambience, the Amazon like greenery around, the large rooms looking out into the fields, the infinity pool and the very meditative yoga pavilion. Loved the food ! - every meal curated very thoughtfully by Renuka. The spa and the meditation hut and the Bodhi tree added a beautiful touch to the overall experience. Most importantly the people are wonderful . Subba and Renuka made me feel so much at home taking us to some beautiful waterfalls nearby. Would love to come here again and experience the tranquility.
- shanamwander (10/5): Quintessential Ubud minus the hustle and bustle - Beingsattva offers a truly tranquil Ubud experience, a world away from the usual busy atmosphere. Nestled between a lush forest and peaceful rice paddies, it's an incredibly serene escape for unwinding. The staff are warm and welcoming, always ready with helpful tips (especially how to avoid those infamous crowds). You can look forward to delicious meals, and they're happy to cater to your preferences. For me, the highlight was definitely the stunning swimming pool with its views over the lush rainforest. Even the shared spaces are designed with care, offering books, games, and even art supplies for children. We left feeling completely refreshed and happy.

Further they were always available to give us tips and share a tip or two to make our stay that much more enjoyable. The spa was lovely with some nice treatments. Complimentary yoga classes each day with great teachers. A fabulous mix of vegan and vegetarian food...probably the best choice and quality that I have had. Nice to have a glass of wine or beer with the meal too. Lovely room with private outside bathroom and bath. Gorgeous grounds.

Care has gone into every minute detail in the architecture of the resort, the room design, the kind of food they provide, spa services, yoga. The experience has been designed from heart and laid out to the tourists on platter to have the most fulfilling holiday of their lives. While the experience is luxurious, there is a spiritual undertone to the whole stay where the team of BeingSattvaa is dedicated to heal you while you stay at their resort. The tour planning, the food with Indian vegetarian as well as local vegetarian options, the cameraderie you experience with the staff - the chefs, the housekeepers, tour organizers all would make you experience Bali to the fullest!!
- vingc2025 (10/5): A hotel experience in the forest - It is very original here, with a beautiful environment and excellent service. After living here for two days, I feel very relaxed. There are yoga and spa here, but unfortunately I didn't experience it because I was too tight. You can try different packages for the hotel's breakfast, and the restaurant is mainly vegetarian.
- 353venkateshs (10/5): Memorable trip to BeingSattavaa, Ubud, Bali - I was at the BeingSattavaa at Ubud, Bali as a part of IITMAA arrangement. I thought it will be a normal year-end retreat. But it was a truly amazing experience. Subba and his team (Mona, Koma, Soni and July) are all amazing hosts. The place has a strong spiritual theme with amazing vegetarian food options. Also had a wonderful traditional Balinese performances on the New Year's eve. Would strongly recommend for both the IITM alumni as well as general guests to make a memorable visit to Being Sattavaa. Off-course, the trips specially created by Subba ensures one is not too stressed during the trip. Nor does one miss out on anything great to see in Bali.

- footloose2000 (10/5): A slice of heaven - The communication with us as to where and how we would be picked up from the ferry terminal was clear and crisp. We were received with a placard and whisked away in a cool and spacious car. First was a lunch stop and then off we went to Ubud to Being Sattva, a piece of heaven. We received a warm welcome from Subba and his team who had prepared a lovely villa for us. Our grown children had their own room on the first floor. There was a winding path that took us from the homely-feel living/dining area to our accommodation. The property is lush and green from every angle and every space. The swimming pool is a comfortable depth and length for lounging and doing a few laps. Room was large along with an open to air shower and a large bath space. Everything had been planned keeping sustainability in mind. The food was the high point. It was delectable with large portions. It could be tweaked to suit individual dietary preferences. All ingredients were locally sourced and the dishes were prepared with care and aesthetically pleasing as well. Subba was very kind and took us on a village walk and also to see the terraced cultivation. We also tried our hand at sketching and joined him for meditation. The yoga studio is a sublime space surrounded by grand, tall trees with numerous bird calls. The Balinese massage at the spa was exceptional. The resort also holds many retreats and the preparations were on for one that was coming up. Our visit coincided with the Balinese New Year and proved to be extra special. If you want a slice of heaven, from which you emerge rejuvenated, pampered, rested and feel submerged in bliss, Being Sattva is for you.
- 887arvindr (10/5): Outstanding and affordable retreat just outside Ubud - We stayed four days at BeingSattvaa and it was a great place to start our Bali vacation. Being small but beautiful, the resort provided personalized and attentive service from the loyal and competent staff. We got custom cooked food, tea, coffee lunch and whatever we needed and even special requests such as jackfruit and dosas were honored. The owner Mr Subba was gracious and took specific al care to make us feel welcome. Jero at the Spa is highly trained and the massage treatments were exceptional.

All very well made, very, very helpfull and friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast served, you should try the vegan options.From here it is very easy to visit activities and Ubud. Try river tubing, it is very fun. Absolutely nothing.

The staff was very accommodating and took great care of us. The location was a bit away from town but just enough. We were able to enjoy the quiet and peace and grab a quick ride into downtown Ubud for shopping and dining.

Absolute jungle vibes and sounds to match - so beautiful when relaxing. Monkeys sighted on site. Butterflies flying through. Beautiful! We brought a group of 20 for our own private retreat. The hotel hosted our welcome dinner plus breakfast every morning with a fully vegan spread as requested. The chef was unbelievably talented. The food blew our minds on the daily, so impressed. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, had lovely character, bathrooms were outdoors but sheltered, loved the connection with nature. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Nothing.

- Faizan (9/5): Good and relaxing but can be improved for sure. - ok, breakfast. The staff was really polite but woke us up early in the morning to clean up. The location is not as bad as people were saying. You can just get a shuttle to central ubud and get a gojek back so no biggy. The food was decent. The washroom gets a lot of insects but I guess you can't do much. The staff wakes you up and likes to knock a lot.
- Moulter (10/5): Exceptional - Wow. BeingSattva is a true gem of Bali. Perfect location - town center is a quick ride away, still convenient, but it was really perfect to be outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud. There are also waterfalls nearby and the owners, Subba and Renuka, are extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about providing recommendations and support for outings off the grounds. About the grounds… just wow. You really feel like you’re smack in the middle of the jungle while luxuriating in the most beautiful accommodations, from the rooms to the infinity pool to the yoga pavilion. I really appreciated the healthy, wholesome vegetarian cuisine - especially the breakfast. It was an extremely welcome respite from the heavier, meat-forward cuisine in town. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my stay and I enjoyed the complimentary yoga every morning. My only regret is not staying longer. I won’t be making that mistake when I return, which I hope will be soon. Thank you, Subba, Renuka and the whole BeingSattva family!

The property is lush green and you are right in the middle of trees and nature. Their swimming pool, which is surrounded by trees, is a unique feature of the property. The food, especially the breakfast was a delight everyday. The smoothie bowl was yum!

- Akudo (10/5): Very special resort!!! - This is one of my favorite resorts that I've ever stayed in. The location was gorgeous. You're close to Ubud center, but away enough that you don't hear any noise other than the sounds of the rainforest. The free breakfast was exceptional. I was able to order off the menu and every vegan thing I ordered was absolutely delicious. All of the food was amazing. I ate there a lot when I was too tired to go find something in town. The staff are the sweetest people ever. So accommodating and helpful and they made me the most beautiful surprise on my birthday. The free morning yoga classes is also amazing and not to be missed. And you'll have the most gorgeous view from either of the two yoga platforms. I also did a few massages at their spa and it was glorious. I can't wait to come back here. If you're considering booking Being Sattva, do it. You won't regret it. (I stayed in the pool suite and absolutely loved it.)

Loved the local Cuisine options at the restaurant and the soups - truly delicious. Super tranquil and beautiful grounds the flora and fauna here are great to see. Loved the frogs and birds and monkeys as the resort is set against the rainforest! The pool is beautiful to swim in. Customer service fantastic and loved how staff were there to pick us up from airport and take us to another hotel when we were done and be our personalised tour guide. All for small fee. We couldn’t have seen Bali easily without their support. Room was lovely very comfy bed and beautiful surrounds. Loved the outdoor shower and toilet etc. Near enough to Ubud town but a bit removed from the hustle of the main streets, which gives the resort a more authentic jungle villa feel. Yoga included every morning at 7am at no extra cost - very good experience and instructors were very good.
