- maximus (10/5): - I have stayed in this hotel many times. This trip I stayed almost 30 days. I'll give 5 stars because of the location and the 24-hour gym and swimming pool, which I have mentioned in a previous review. Minus: I have been charged for items I haven't used, eg toothpaste and milkshake. I have advised reception. I didn't use it , they said might the guest took it . My advice is with each check-in, make sure everything in the mini bar in your room is actually there. After I had completed the full payment for my stay the night before checking out, I still got charged an extra 300 Philippine pesos for room service, even though I had given tips to everyone during my stay.

Less noise from Red St. And rooms are nicer. Better you will still hear the noise from red st from 1am to 5pm. Not sure if its an after hours club or what.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Score Birds Evaluation - Score Birds is a wonderful place to stay with a splendid staff and room experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, clean, and a spacious bathroom. The staff is truly amazing and I can not wait to visit again next July. Duke's Restaurant is open 24 hours, along with room service.

However, we had an ant problem in the bathroom around the sink, and the shower was the same every year. The water was boiling hot or ice cold. You can't adjust the water to warm. For the price, it's a good place to stay.

- tomj412 (10/5): Very nice staff - Second time here and its a Very nice place, staff fantastic nice and helpful,nice location nice cool swimmingpool,roomservice 24 hours good food,wifi little bit weak sometimes but ok,bed was very soft and nice, but its something i cant blame the hotel for,its the loud sounds from the road outside with lots and lots of tricycles and motobikes who come and go with full throttle all night seems this road is the main road to entry of walking street so every rides this way,but earplugs and some beers in your head and its ok and a tip to the manager the "make up room sign" is falling down when little windy so the cleaning staff dont know if its dont disturb OR make up room,happened to me twice so my room was not cleaned,just for notice Otherwise highly recommended from me,i give it a 5

- Jason (8/5): - Although upon check in my unit had a ant infestation problem I laid down and felt something tingling on my feet looked down and I was being eaten alive after running downstairs to the front desk they immediately upgraded my unit and offered free dry cleaning of all my clothes they truly did do whatever they could to make up for the experience so with that I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

- Aldric (8/5): Had an OK time - I had an ok experience at the hotel. I had an incident where 2 staff members were joking with a dark-skinned Filipino staff member calling him a beluga. I'm married to a Filipina so I understand some Tagalog. And I know that Baluga is a bad name for black or dark-skinned people. My wife confronted the two staff members and told them not to use that language anymore. the staff never apologized to me. But over all the hotel and the people were great. I would stay there again.

I could spend more money for a hotel. But, I could never match the service. It would be a step down for certain. Love the place.

There was everything from pieces of paper, plastic, hair to bugs all floating in the water. The gym is decent, restraunt is great and everyone is very friendly.

- 75markc75 (10/5): comfortable relaxed atmosphere in a great location - the hotel staff from the security guys and receptionists bar staff and cleaners do an amazing job to make you feel comfortable.the staff are so friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful.the pool is big and clean and the food from dukes restaurant is of the highest quality and great value.my room was clean and spacious with great air conditioning a large shower with hot water and a good fridge to keep drinks cold .the hotel is in a quiet back street but is not far away from walking street and the entertainment centre of angeles city.the sm mall is also nearby and within walking distance.i could not recommend this place any higher it is great value for money in a prime location.

- john (6/5): need so improve and a make over - Such a waste of a great location. i have stayed here often and each time it gets a bit worse and of course older. the staff are great and try but i stayed 5 nights, no wi fi ever for more than 5 minutes, and i need it for what i do. first 3 nights no hot water. the food is not worth ordering, so we ate elsewhere everyday bar the first try.

- Mark (8/5): Couple very happy with stay - We (1 x Australian male & 1 x Filipina) stayed for 2 x nights in a Deluxe room. Hotel is in a central location, good for accessing nearby restaurants, bars and the famous walking street. The room was spacious, had everything we needed and we really appreciated the large dispenser for drinking water (much better than the two small bottles usually provided). The bed was very comfortable and we slept well every night. Only negatives were the room smelt of tobacco smoke (I doubt there are rooms provided for non-smokers) and the bathroom fittings looked cheap and fragile. All staff were friendly and helpful…we would definitely consider staying here again and I recommend Score Birds Hotel for couples (there were also two x families here at the same time) and singles (you will be able to take a visitor to your room without drama).
- sydneysteve (8/5): Ideal quiet location - I was only here for a few days visiting with friends. The staff were friendly and helpful. A standard room had been booked for me. It was compact with a wardrobe and desk and chair. Aircon was noisy and blew directly on to the bed. The tv was excellent with many channels to choose from. The fridge was packed with a variety of drinks. Lighting was very good. The bed had clean linens and provided a comfortable sleep without the aircon on. The bathroom had a segregated shower with hot water and good pressure. Room cleaning was simply a matter of hanging your sign on the door. Food at the restaurant was good but we dined at different restaurants each day. The pool is large and well maintained. They can arrange airport transfers for you. Ideal quiet location only a short walk to Walking Street and a variety of shops. Overall, I had a comfortable stay.

- KENNETH (4/5): Pay careful attention to your charges - The hotel isn’t new but is in decent shape as compared to others in the area. But unfortunately you have to be so careful with review of charges because. I was notified on Checkout that I would have to pay for a bath towel and hand towel because I had stained them. These were not new towels, they had a lot of wear but I was made to pay full price. I then demanded that the towels be given to me since I had purchased them. They balked but then complied and became very nervous. They wanted to start to document by taking pictures, but I reminded them that since I had already paid for the towels they were mine and I had no intention of providing them access to them. I took the towel back to China, threw them in the wash and they laundered clean without difficulty. I am now the proud owner of two clean but well worn towels that the front desk manager at shorebirds made me pay full price for. What a joke and scam.
