- robert (10/5): Great Room Great Service Perfect location Excellent restaurant - Super friendly and competent staff. Excellent bathroom. Strong WIFI signal. Free coffee/tea all day in the lobby. Restaurant was very good food and prompt attentive service. Complementary breakfast buffet was good enough to make one want to eat too much! We would stay here again if we needed a hotel in Loja. There was nothing wrong with this hotel. I would only say "I hope they keep up the good work".

- Nicholas (10/5): - Staff was helpful and friendly.
- Viviana (10/5): - El hotel es una excelente combinación de una casa patrimonial con las comodidades modernas. La atención del personal sobresale en cada momento.
- Carlos (9/5): Hotel Victoria Loja - Ubicación. Parqueo. Desayuno. Atención. Limpieza Nd
- Sonia (10/5): - The quality of the breakfast wasn’t the best, especially, with the coffee, tamal lojano. The hot food was lukewarm.
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the bellboy.
The hotel was well located, nice and had good amenities.
The back part was noisy with the events during the weekend.
- Gina (10/5): - Las habitaciones estaban súper limpias y el personal muy amable
- Alexi Mendoza (10/5): - Gran sitio
- marasenn1 (10/5): Hidden Gem - This was an extremely charming hotel. Located in a historic building, the rooms were great. We got a roomy suite for $130. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive and it is right in the center of town. It is the only place I would stay in Loja.
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
- Helene (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): Good hotel overall. - Beautiful hotel with a lot of carved wood fixtures. Rooms are on the small side, but well appointed. The rooms on the very front of the hotel have french doors that open with balconies, interior rooms only have a window to the corridors of the hotel. No a/c or heat, but not needed with the French doors. Very attentive and friendly housekeeping. Great breakfast in the main dining room. Street noise is bothersome with rooms at the front of the hotel.
- Claudio (9/5): Superb -
- Cristina (10/5): Great stay at a very beautiful hotel. Will recommend it to friends and colleagues. - Lovely building, hotel full of character, perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff.
- Stephanie (10/5): Great stay in central Loja - I booked for family members who needed a place to stay last minute and this is what they had to say:
We are truly impressed with the superior customer service and cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is by far the best we have had at any hotel previously. The staff are always going above and beyond for any request and there have been many because of our situation. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon. Nothing

The room was a bit hot.
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (9/5): Really nice hotel and staff. - It is well loacted, traditional, comfortable and clean rooms. The only fault I can speak to is the absense of air conditioning, the room tended to be a little hot.
- Chaves (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mario (8/5): - Ok
- Rifle (10/5): - The continental breakfasts have improved tremendously! As a traveling American, I can say that Grand Victoria Boutique Hotel has really exceeded, even beyond many high ranking Hotels in the states! They are certainly my favorite foto in all of Loja! Way to go ! Grand Victoria Boutique Hotel :)
- Maribel (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful hotel in the center of Loja city. Exquisite decor and installations are immaculate. One of the best hotels I've stayed in Ecuador with a great price and 5 star service without breaking the bank.
I highly recommend Grand Victoria Boutique Hotel; Staff is exceptional, and even though they are not bilingual, they still try their best to accommodate any inquiry. Truly an amazing place to lodge while in Loja city with beautiful pool, jacuzzi and sauna, bar and restaurant serving menu items and drinks are also great. The only improvement would be to add heater to pool.
- Henry (10/5): - Muy bonito
- Ruairi (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful hotel in the heart of Loja. The Staff are fantastic and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
- Joshua (10/5): I will be back everytime I am in Loja - Great service! The hotel was very accomodating to reserve a lunch and allow children to use pool at a reduced cost. Can´t think of anything.
- Erika (9/5): Great place for the value! - Breakfast was delicious and had a variety to choose from.
The location was also pretty good, close to the center of the city. The only fault was one of the receptionists but other than that, it was great!
- Gordon (8/5): Good value and well located hotel. - Staff and location were highlights of this very nice older hotel. Breakfast buffet was also very good. The bed mattress was hard and in need of replacement.
- Enrique (9/5): Great - breakfast was great, the hotel location was good in the downtown area, very secure area I think that everything was great
- Richard (5/5): Such a shame... - Beautiful hotel very close to the town's main square. Room was immaculate and impeccably clean. Secure parking underneath the building. Restaurant had a simple menu, but the food was enjoyable. We appreciated the welcome drink in the bar. Very comfortable beds. The noise. Oh heavens, it was noisy. There was a party the first night with many children which only stopped at midnight. The second evening there was a function with nightclub level music until 1.30, after which our misery was compounded by the staff setting up tables below our room until 2.30 and beyond. Why scrape them along the floor??? The hotel has two large open areas like covered courtyards, and any noise from any part of the building echoes in this cavernous space. The management must must must decide whether to let rooms to non attendees if they have functions or weddings, or at least warn them in advance that sleep may be impossible.
The room was stifling as we couldn't open the windows due to the noise (yes, we have ear plugs) so a fan is essential.
An adjustment was made a little grudgingly to our bill after we complained, but it wasn't really adequate. Such a shame, it could have been a real treat to stay.
- KikiBeech (4/5): Sadly I can’t recommend this hotel - The Grand Victoria Hotel has many plus points - a gracious old building, attractive rooms, friendly staff, and a good central location.
Unfortunately the hotel is unable to provide a basic requirement: a good night’s sleep. The hotel holds many functions during the day and the evening, but unfortunately the lay out of the hotel (all rooms overlook internal atriums, and all windows open ONLY to the atriums) means that any evening functions disturb guests. On our first night the music stopped at midnight, and we were then able to sleep (although we were woken early by the setting up of breakfast service on the floor immediately below us). On the second night the music was deafening!!! and went on until 1.30 am. At 2.30 am the staff started dragging furniture along the floor below us, to set up for another function the next day. We got only 4 hours sleep. Our complaint the following morning was met with fulsome apologies and agreement that the extended disturbance was unacceptable (and an admission from the staff member that noise disturbance for overnight guests is a regular problem) but no adjustment was made to our bill. When we insisted we were given a discount of 10% - inadequate for the loss of a good night’s sleep.
A further point to note is that because the windows only open to the internal atrium they have to be kept closed. As a result our room was terribly hot, and had neither a fan nor aircon.
We were so disappointed that what should have been an enjoyable stay was marred by noisy functions on both nights, and we’re especially annoyed that we were kept awake until after 3 am on the second night.
- EDILMA (10/5): - Muy buen sitio para hospedarse
- Eric (4/5): Great location. Wonderful city. Staff attentive on some matters and inattentive on others. - The staff was helpful. When I asked for wifi password for common areas in order to do a zoom meeting, they offered me an office space and a cable connection so my meeting would go smoothly. I was very grateful for the help. Our room was sort of cavelike. No exterior windows. Worse, it was right next to a room that was being worked on. Until 10:30 pm, paint fumes and high-volume music entered the room. Staff was sort of inattentive to our comments about the noise and smell.
- Angie (9/5): Superb -
- Dino (7/5): Good - Beautiful hotel The room on 3 Rd floor has no ventilation had to request a fan
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amac1973 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mario (10/5): Excelente - All Nothing
- Sebastian (7/5): Good -
- Renda (10/5): - Most beautiful hotel and such a friendly staff. Thank you!
- Amac1973 (8/5): Very good -
- Sissel (9/5): I’ll stay there again the next time - Breakfast was good/average…. The coffee was a little cold. I like it when you can help yourself to refills
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good - A lovely property, well-maintained. Good food. We arrived quite exhausted and we’re hoping to be able to rest but, unfortunately, the hotel had a very noisy event. Due to the open atrium design of this colonial era hotel, the amplified speeches and music was very loud and unavoidable.
- Schmidt (10/5): Loja, Ecuador is a lovely city and The Grand Victoria Boutique Hotel it's treasure. - Cleanliness, friendly and professional staff, well appointed rooms, Restaurant in the hotel, daily breakfast buffet. Beautiful facility and walking distant to everything. Loja is a very beautiful city. The beds were harder than what I am used to. That seems the norm for Ecuador.
- Alexandra (10/5): Awesome super clean and elegant hotel - Proximity to where we had to go to schedule and get information about work The parking was a cramped but my husband is a good driver and was able to park in such a little space
- Freddy (5/5): Beautiful building not well maintained - Breakfast was fine Room security
Awful kitchenette and uncomfortable bath that doesn’t at whole match the beautiful old design
- Tim (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Diego (10/5): - Ubicada en el centro
- Sue (10/5): - all around great
