Guest Reviews
- Karl (8/5): Great - The value was great, it was clean and comfortable Nothing really
- Lisa (10/5): Great hotel - Employees were very nice and professional. Room was very clean... all amenities were in good condition and they worked.. The only thing I didn't like is that my room was on the second floor... I am a wimp... I hate stairs.

- Desiree (10/5): A Diamond in the Hub: Perfect for highlighting the great location and high quality - The Dunes Motel is perfectly situated near major retail hubs—including Home Depot, Safeway, Target, Walgreens, and a laundromat—making it incredibly convenient. Despite the central location, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful the atmosphere remained, with no issues regarding noise or crowds.
The staff were very accommodating, but what truly stood out was the level of cleanliness. After being used to having to deep-clean our own rooms at other extended stay properties, it was a breath of fresh air to walk into a room that was already spotless. From the floors to the bathroom, the Dunes was exceptionally well-maintained. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and convenient stay! No in house guest laundry but 3 laundromats within 1/2 mile
- Shirley (7/5): - No coffee in morning.
- Olguin (10/5): Great stay - Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet place All good. Nothing to complain
- Stanley (10/5): -
- Wilma L. Ingram (10/5): Very nice peaceful stay - Employees are very nice!! Room was big!! Price was good!!
- Javier (6/5): - Me dieron un precio aquí y al llegar al alojamiento me dieron un precio más alto
- Tywanda (10/5): I enjoyed my stay and staff was very kind!!:) - I loved the hotel because it had a nice Mexican restaurant nearby that was absolutely stunning food!!:). I didn’t have to drive far for good food and a nice laundromat was right around the corner!!:). Very nice staff and I felt safe!!:) N/A
- Pranita (8/5): Comfy and affordable. - Staff and cleanliness of the hotel was better than I expected. It does not look that great from the outside, but room was cozy for a one-night stay. No elevator. I had to carry my suitcase up a flight of stairs.
- erick (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Jacob (7/5): If you need somewhere to put your head for tonight then this place works - For the price of everything I expected and needed

- Julie (5/5): I was there only to shower and sleep. It was ok for that. - It was quiet The check in process at night was strange. I pre booked and they had all my information but they made us stand outside in the cold instead of letting us in the lobby to finish their paperwork. Also the coffee was out by 9am 😏
- Smithson (9/5): Absolutely worth the price, comfortable, and clean, staff were friendly and accommodating. -
- Weston (7/5): - Easy check in, close to destination, nice tv Safety lock broken, bath water not hot. Pillows small

- Jane (8/5): - Price Seems dated
- Cody (7/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - The room was warm The bed was a little hard. No coffee pot in the room and little coffee pot in the lobby
- Codi (6/5): - the windows had no locking security and the wooden dowel normally found in the room windows was missing. I asked the front desk and she was able to find some scrap wood that we used to wedge the window secured more that simply being closed.
- Olguin (10/5): - Friendly staff, lots of parking, easy access to stores. Housekeeping was too noisy while cleaning at early times
- Serge (8/5): Très bien pour une ou deux nuits - Simple et fonctionnel
- Figueroa (10/5): Every time we use that motel we like it very quiet and staff very nice - No internet and was kinda confuse on turning fan mode n
- Figueroa (10/5): - Easy to find store and eatery around the motel and the play was very easy to find and very ind hospitality Every thing was good
- Van De Bogart (10/5): -
- Wilma L. Ingram (10/5): All around great place to stay!! - Great location! Staff very friendly!! NA
- Mary (8/5): It was a comfortable place to stay. - It was a good location. They didn’t have breakfast.
- Cody (10/5): - The staff were very nice. Very quiet, comfortable bed and pillows, oh my gosh. I slept so good. The tub was amazing as well. Deep hot water bubble bath like I havent had in years. The TUB! Nothing I didn't expect from outside... It was like a small safe place.
- Quist (3/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): - I slept better here than I have at any motel in my life. Surprisingly quiet, comfortable, and dark in the room. Window opened to allow fresh air, sheets were not scratchy, laminate floor and no gross carpet and didn’t smell like stale pot smoke, yay. It was a no vacancy Friday night but the halls were quiet and guests were respectful. I never expect to sleep well in a motel so was quite happy. The water smells like chlorine but was plenty hot. Good location with Human Bean across the street. Staff was friendly.
- Betty (1/5): - The shower was hot and had good pressure. The refrigerator was nice and cold and clean. Bed was very uncomfortable. every time you moved, it sounded like and felt like it was breaking. Needs some updates, not just cover-ups. The air conditioning was outdated and very noisy.
- Wilma L. Ingram (10/5): -
- Crystalyn (8/5): in a super cute hispanic neighborhood with stellar markets . close enough to grand lodge for concert - clean comfortable big tv nothing
- Kim (7/5): Muh - Two things, first at checking in. The lady at the front desk picked up the phone right as she started asking for my information. She stayed on the phone the entire time. I thought it was rude. I'm in customer service. You help the person in front of you and ask the person on the phone to hold. Oh also the neighbors in the room next to us we're having a BIG Fight most of the night. That was loud.
- Michael (8/5): Better than expected - Very clean Location! Very busy street
- Veronica (8/5): - Had a good experience staying here, the only bad thing is that a bad smell coming out of the either shower drain or toilet, that if the bathroom door was left open the smell spreads out to the entire room. But everything else was great.
- Al (5/5): -
- Feeferjc (10/5): Always comfortable sit -
- Jeri Hansen (10/5): -
- Wilma L. Ingram (10/5): -
- Ron (10/5): - The only concern I have is the air conditioner was a little loud. But overall the motel and staff where great.
- Haglund (9/5): Definitely recommend - Great if you just need an inexpensive place to lay your head
- Kathleen (10/5): The Dunes Motel is a great place to stay! - Everything was comfortable. The bed and bedcover were great for summer. The air conditioner worked perfectly.
The TV was big and worked great. The sink water got hot right away. The shower pressure was perfect, and it was great to have the grab bars.
We were offered towels when we needed them.
The room was clean.
Thank you for a comfortable stay! The smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby.
But the room didn't smell.
- Atwater (9/5): -
- Burke (10/5): -
- Donna (8/5): Clean, convenient and quiet for our stay. - We liked the clean room and bathroom. No coffee pot in our room. There was coffee in the lobby in a tiny little pot which didn't fill our cups!!
- Paul (5/5): Adequate for sleeping but a little run down. In need of some tlc. - Clean. Smelled like smoke, no towel hooks, no room coffee makers, torn window screen, people out back window, bathroom door didn't shut.
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
- Conn (7/5): Good - Was a very nice place to stay think they should turn the heat off was really to warm in building
- Laura (8/5): We were more than pleased with our stay! - For the location, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We could tell that updates had been made and they looked nice. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner was far better than others we’ve had. The shower head in our room was loose and only hung straight down. The ring around the temperature looked like it had mildew or mold forming from the water there. The toilet leaked water if you sat a certain way on it.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfy Fan was either aggressive or none
- Verified traveler (8/5): Late check-in due to Amtrak - My Amtrak train was 5+ hours late, so it really helped that motel had late check-in! Thanks.
- Mark (2/5): - Na
- Geoffrey (10/5): Exceptional - Reception and neatness of the room N/A
- Chris (4/5): - I liked the convenience of being centralized.
Lots of restaurants around. That was the good. Tbe bad: The bedcover was dirty in our room, we removed it. There wasn't enough coffee being made for guests. It is a cheap no frills place to lay your head down for the night.
- Flanagan (7/5): Good -
- Jackson (7/5): Good -
- Charles (9/5): My Stay at Dunes Motel - The Bath tub to soak my sore muscles, having the AC on to stay cool, having the microwave to reheat my leftovers, the freezer and the Refrigerator to keep my drinks cold before I leave my trip home 🏡. The Microwave locked the door for some reason and I had to disconnect the power by putting out the power plug and plugging it back in.
- Jill (4/5): Bad choice - It was dirty. Stained comforters & sheets. The individuality wrapped plastic cups were wet on the wrapper. It was gross. Would NOT recommend.
- Christina (6/5): - The lobby, hallways, and room smelled and set my asthma off. Bed spreads were stained on the outside l l but the sheets were clean. Other then that the room was very basic. It didnt have a coffee pot but it did have a refrigerator and a stained microwave. We were on the ground floor and there window stop was not long enough to keep anyone out so we didn't want to leave the window open while sleeping.
- Dee (7/5): Good - Nice location. Close to good restaurants.
- Briana (8/5): Very good -
- Tanner (8/5): Very good -
- Eddie (7/5): Good - Door security was not there.
- Ashley (4/5): - The pictures make it look a lot nicer than it is. Really, it’s an old motel with tweakers riding their bikes in and hanging about the parking lot. We booked a room with two queens but got a room with full sized beds and the staff lied about it when I double checked on arrival. When I came back to the front desk and said they were not queens, they were nice about it and gave us another room. We had to pack up, move and unpack again. They were also very nice about giving us a late check out. For a clean, no-frills room, it was fine. But for the price, I could have gotten much better. I won’t be back.
- Melissa (9/5): Road Trip - Friendly staff. The TV was a good size and clear. Plenty of vending machine options for snacks and drinks. It would have been nice to have more tea options, and creamer available for guests if they choose to have coffee in the office reception area.
- Gabriela (4/5): Disappointing -
- Elizabeth (9/5): The night Clerk was awesome, very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. - N/A N/A
- Nathan (6/5): - A little run down but at least they let us check out a little late, thanks!
- Dulce (1/5): Thay have blood in the sheets -
- Albert (10/5): - Well.they just got remodeled.
- donna (10/5): - the check in was very freindly
- Melcher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): Great price and hotel - It was fine
- Marilyn (4/5): - When I checked in the room they gave me as dirty and the man gave me the keys. When I discovered it was dirty. And informed him he said no it’s clean. I showed him the room and then was given another room. Also the front desk was not open to exit so I had to exit thru the side exit. I had to carry 2 suitcase up one floor then down to exit. There is no ADA access from the hotel.
- Veronica (10/5): Picked up my son - Excellent Not a thing was bad
- Freddie (10/5): - It was totally awesome
