Guest Reviews
- Cecilia (10/5): - We loved this property! The couple who own the house are very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was wonderful, and homemade bakery items were available anytime and oh so yummy (definitely a plus!!).
- Don (10/5): - Lovingly restored Victorian home and garden with gracious hosts and delicious breakfasts!
- William (10/5): - It was more the city not the B&B.
The room was very comfortable and the breakfast Was very good.
No complaints at all about the establishment.
- Larry (10/5): Roussell's Garden B&B - Savannah GA - The Roussell's were excellent hosts. The room was clean and comfortable and well furnished. Bryan was well versed and helpful with tips on where to eat and local free transportation. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend
- Kurt (10/5): - Our stay was amazing. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was delicious.
- Deanna (10/5): - Very attentive hosts, the room was very nice, clean, and quiet. Great location and parking. Would definitely stay again!
- Julia (10/5): - The hosts were fantastic, very helpful with information about everything from where to go and how to get there to recommendations for best dining and tours. We really could not have asked for anything more. It was like staying with friends - they were there when you needed them.
- Theresa (8/5): - It's a beautiful property and really gives you the feel of 1800s Savannah living. The Roussells are lovely people and very welcoming. The room we stayed in was the Mandevilla room at the top of the stairs. I really liked it and it was very pretty. The only downside was there was a lot of night time street noise as it is located at the front of the house. The room had a fan that could be used for white noise and this helped to offset the street sounds. The breakfast provided was generous and very nice to sit at the dining table set up so nicely.
- Brayden (10/5): - Our stay here at this property was incredible. The hosts are kind and the location is perfect. Highly recommend.
- Susan (10/5): - Breakfast and always-available snacks were very good. On our last day, we finally had time to relax in the peaceful garden area, which was very nice. Bryan and Jan were friendly and very helpful with hints about places to visit and transportation.
- Richard (10/5): A Lovely B&B Experience with Great Hosts - Our stay at Roussell's was great. We and our friends stayed in the two bedrooms in the carriage house. Both en suite rooms were very comfortable and clean. Also included was a common area with a kitchenette, which was very convenient. Each morning when we awoke, we found a large carafe of fresh, delicious coffee, which was so thoughtful and greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed the rocking chairs on our porch. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed the outdoor spaces for visiting, which included a garden with fountains as well as a comfortable deck off the living room of the main house, with outdoor access as well. We had three breakfasts during our stay and each was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The Roussells were friendly and very helpful, and not at all intrusive. They were able to enhance our visit with lots of information and suggestions. Parking was easy and plentiful. The location was very convenient and quiet at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B with wonderful hosts.
- Matthew (10/5): - Amazing hosts. Beautiful home and perfect locations.
- Laurie (10/5): - Bryan and Jan were great! Very accommodating. Bryan was very thorough with checkin. Jan was a great cook. Would definitely stay again.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Charming BnB, great location and wonderful helpful hosts! Wonderful breakfasts too! I would highly recommended for any couples looking for a quiet place to stay. Easy walk to the historic district or to the Riverwalk. Or you can walk 2 blocks to grab the free Dot shuttle that runs until 7pm.
- Deborah (8/5): - Very accommodating.
- Shirel (10/5): - Beautiful historic house, beautiful gardens.
Great breakfast, the owners are very nice and helpful.
- Jim (8/5): - Owners are very nice and accommodating. Rooms over carriage house were nice. Outdoor garden area needed some love. Overall i woukd stay here again tho.
- Lynn (8/5): - The hosts, Brian & Jan Roussell, were very warm and hospitable. Price of the room was expensive for location.
- James (10/5): - The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent! Will definitely be back!!
- Sonia (8/5): - Liked having an outdoor space (the garden) to sit outside and relax.
- Justus (10/5): - Very friendly and accommodating. Absolutely gorgeous property and within a mile or two of most major attractions. Highly recommend.

- Sharon (10/5): - Beautiful old Savannah home. Hosts are eager to please and very knowledgeable about area and what to do. The house is conveniently located and breakfast is wonderful. We would go there again.
- Sarah (8/5): Lovely historical Victorian getaway. - Lovely space, pretty garden/sitting area & quite knowledgeable owner about the history & Savannah area.
- Catherine (8/5): - It was a lovely old Victorian with a pleasant garden area, although somewhat cluttered. We didn't get to sit out since we were there only one night and wanted to see the riverfront area and parks in old town. Owners were very hospitable and pointed out the house & amenities--e.g., wine open to enjoy, coffee, tea, homebaked snacks. Bathroom lovely and updated--w/tub-shower. Comfy bed--very high--glad for footstool! On busy street--traffic noise was pretty steady. It is a hefty walk down to the river area, but near the DOT free bus. Breakfast was lovely and prepared perfectly. An enjoyable stay.
- maria (10/5): - Jan and Bryan are wonderful host. Helpful and friendly. Breakfast are delicious and plentiful.
- Jose (10/5): - We got very lucky in finding this B&B since there are so many to choose from and when I visit Savanna again it will be my go to. We stayed in the lower bed room of the house which was very comfortable with it’s own side door to the front porch which we used as a late night or early morning sitting area for coffee. Brian and Jan were very gracious people with great attention for detail. This 1888 home was very clean, location close to Fletcher’s park. And for the best part which was a pleasant experience. Mrs Jan puts the second B in B&B to the next level. The breakfast prep starts the day before, again “attention to detail “ the morning plate settings start at 5:00am. Best buffet style breakfast with the main dish different every day, awesome. French toast casserole wow! I don’t do reviews but this one was worth taking the time to do.
- Deborah (10/5): - The owners go beyond and above to make you feel welcome! The house is adorable, room comfortable and very well located! That will be my go to place in Savannah. Thank you Bryan & Jean!
- Michael (10/5): B&B and Beautiful Stroll - This was an excellent choice for us. It was about a 1.5 mile walk through lovely park squares to get to the main restaurant and shop rows, which was perfect for us because we had built-in exercise to offset the extra calories. The accommodations were charming. Huge bed and spacious room and bathroom. Microwave and kitchen outside our door was a cost saving convenience. So was the daily breakfast. It’s great if you like to chit-chat w other breakfast guests.
- James A (10/5): Great little getaway - The room is very cozy. We were in a room over the garage it was very quiet until the garage door was open and close. The hosts wonderful and charming. It was conveniently located. We walked and took the DOT. We would stay there again if in the area.
- Tony (10/5): - Great host. Me and my girlfriend had an excellent stay here.
- Tamara (10/5): First Time B&B Stay - It was our first time staying at a B&B and we were not disappointed. The breakfast was good each day, service was wonderful, and the other house guest were wonderful. It was in walking distance to Forsyth park, Kroger, restaurants, and health store. We would definitely stay at the Rousell's B&B again.
- Lynn (8/5): - We stayed in the carriage house. Large comfortable king bed. Large bathroom and a good a/c. Location close to Forsyth Park.
- Vladimir (10/5): - Very clean, welcoming house with good hosts and wonderful breakfast
- Mary (10/5): Great Innkeepers - The Innkeepers were great. Bryan and Jan were so welcoming and my room was wonderful. Jan is an excellent cook and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay there again.
- John D. (10/5): - Personal touches, outstanding breakfasts, excellent orientation, treated us like family, personal tour of gardens and grounds.
- Victoria (8/5): - The breakfasts were tops! Especially enjoyed the French toast casserole! Super friendly and knowledgeable owners!
- Christina (10/5): Great hosts, great location - The hosts were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We appreciated the advice they gave us. Breakfast was delicious and our room was so comfortable!
- john (10/5): - great people and place
- david (10/5): - The owners where exceptionally nice and accommodating! The house was beautiful and breakfast was very good!
- Debra (8/5): Great stay - Great stay Bryan and Jan were great hosts and made us feel very comfortable with a nice breakfast and Jan makes a lovely lemon drizzle the B&B was slightly outside the historical district but everything was easily accessible
- Mark (10/5): Would do it again - Loved staying there. It was a nice walk to downtown. Clean quiet rooms, and very nice host. Parking was tight, but that was of no fault of the owners. Just people not knowing how to park.
- CHRISTOPHER (10/5): - The property was very charming. We were fortunate to get a room that connected to the front porch. It had a swing we enjoyed every day of our stay.
- Paul (10/5): - Wonderful little B&B
- naile (10/5): - What a beautiful property and the hosts were amazing! This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast which made us very awkward guests, but the hosts were so lovely and accommodating. There's a lovely porch swing and rocking chair outside, overlooking the greenery. Conveniently, the house is located a short walk to Forsythe Park, and has a public city bus right out front. Also, we were informed of the Purple Dot bus available for free for the tourists. Parking is first come first serve, but not terrible. The hosts made sure to have variety of choices for breakfast available buffet style and had plenty of COVID minded seating arrangements available, spacing the guests out nicely. Our room was so lovely, and full of character, and old world charm, just like the rest of the house. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.
- Braden (6/5): - This place was located in a good area. The grounds were a little overgrown. Food was good. Beds were comfortable. There was offstreet parking.
- sharon (10/5): - A charming property! We would definitely stay there again.
- Steven (8/5): - The B&B was clean and well appointed, with very good security. Not far from Forsyth park, about a mile from the river and walkable. Good parking. Our orientation by the Bryan, the owner, was helpful and thorough. Room was very comfortable. Only problem was with wi-fi in the Carriage House where we stayed: had to go inside the big house in the evening to get good reception. I would stay there again and do recommend this property.
- Molly (10/5): - Bryan and Jan, the hosts and owners, are very accommodating and friendly. We were greeted by Bryan and he spent 10-15 minutes showing us around and providing maps and sightseeing/restaurant information to help us make the most of our stay. The breakfasts are delicious.
- Kevin (10/5): - The house that we stayed in was gorgeous and the time was something to remember. It really made our stay pleasurable.
- Jonathan (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - We loved the hosts, very friendly and informative. We were nervous about the location at first because we thought it was too far from the attractions. Turned out to be a perfect location, easy walk to the parks and the riverfront. Wonderful food and a beautiful garden
- John (8/5): - Very helpful and pleasant hosts. Area around the B&B is still "in transition" -- but we felt safe in walking to nearby Forsyth Park.
- Glenn (10/5): Helpful and personable hosts - Bryan and Jan were very helpful and personable during our stay. They provided valuable insights and information about seeing the city. They were also quite accommodating in helping get a room on the lower floor due to my handicap. I would stay with them again if I visited Savannah in the future.
- Pamela (10/5): - Bryan and Jan have a wonderful home and the rooms are beautiful….Bryan helped with The Trolley picking us up at the door! And bringing us back! Jan’s breakfasts were very good and her homemade afternoon snacks,as well! A great place to stay.
- Peter (8/5): - The WI-FI in the carriage house rooms was terrible- very slow and messages did not get sent or incoming pictures not loaded.
- John (10/5): - Owners were very friendly and informative about the area. Very clean facility. Close to many events
- Jeremy (10/5): - Excellent breakfasts; snacks always available. Beautiful rooms and parlors.
- Paul (10/5): - Mr and Mrs Roussell were very sweet. Santa will be back.
- Kimberly (10/5): - All was good!!
- Mary (10/5): Savannah - we were greeted out front and were given good info about Savannah and the B&B There was a big supply of cold bottled water available at all times and wonderful homemade cakes and other snacks and fruit available. - Jeffrey (10/5): - Friendly owners. Food was delicious every morning clean rooms very quite and comfortable. Location is a bit far. How ever we were able to have long walks and there was a free bus the dot to the river. We loved it
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful house. Very well maintained. Beautiful gardens. Owners show a lot of pride in maintaining their home. Entering the home, you are walking back into time, late 1800s, early 1900s.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners, Bryan and Jan, are so nice and hospitable. The house, built in 1888 is as gorgeous now as I bet it was way back when. The breakfast was very good buffet style. The other guests were very nice and friendly. We stayed in the guest house behind main house. The room was large and very clean. Great shower. The yard and plants are absolutely beautiful. Dockside Seafood down by the River was a great meal. Earl the bartender is a blast. Sit at the bar if you can. Very entertaining. We will be back.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Brian and Jan are such kind people who go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and taken care of. Both really take pride in their home and it shows. Really a great find! We walked to nearby Forsyth park and were pleased to find a Saturday farmer’s market. The breakfasts were amazing! And the garden was fabulous. Ask Brian for a tour. He even spent extra time showing us all the great plants, flowers, and trees in the garden. Jan is so nice and makes a wonderful breakfast. Very close to Forsyth Park and the historic downtown. We spent 2 days sightseeing and enjoying this lovely B&B. Will definitely be coming back.
- Aubri (10/5): - This was hands down the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast, location, and old school charm also made for an amazing stay.
- Julia (6/5): Would not book again. - Mr. and Mrs. Roussell are very sweet and accommodating, and the breakfast that was prepared from scratch was truly delicious. But I have to point out that we expected better accommodations for the price. Yes, the location indeed is close to the park and we felt safe, but we had to do some used-to in regards to the poorly-kept street where the house is located. Although the bed and bathroom were clean, and the quality of decor may be just the matter of taste, but the major detriment for me in the room was the chunks of very old dust on the floors, and the strong smell of it in the air especially felt at night. It looks like other visitors did not mind that based on their comments.
- Kim (10/5): - A wonderful experience in a beautifully decorated Victorian home! Breakfast was a full breakfast with lots of variety and very tasty. The owners were very sweet and made our stay enjoyable without being intrusive. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was large, access was easy and the garden was a fantastic retreat! Thanks for a wonderful stay for Mom and I!
- Marjorie (10/5): - Authentic bed and breakfast experience in the beautiful city of Savannah.
