Guest Reviews
- Lori (8/5): Pacific City is a cute beach town with lovely tide pools and wonderful sand dunes! - Room has an outstanding view and location to the beach. Nice and clean. The only disappointment was the pull out bed was of poor quality and the mattress not a newer style so you could feel the metal bar in the bed.
- Lev (10/5): -
- Hanson (10/5): - The view was incredible.
- Patricia (10/5): Lovely stay! Will definitely visit again. - The staff was so friendly and helpful during our stay, the room was perfect, and you can’t beat the view from the patio.
- Maria (10/5): - Gorgeous view. Staff was friendly, parking is available for a fee, and a nice small convenience store next to the inn. The pool and fitness room are located in the building next door of the inn. However, not an issue as it’s a short walk. Overall a nice stay for one night.
- Su (10/5): -
- Emily (8/5): - Location and amenities Parking
- Eva (10/5): - The location was perfect for a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean Cannot think of one thing we didn’t like
- Tyler (9/5): One of the best stays I’ve had for the value, convenience and cleanliness of the stay. - Knowledgeable and friendly staff, great view, easy check-in, free parking. Great night’s sleep.
- Lizabeth (7/5): It was a nice stay but way too expensive for what we got. Rooms in Hawaii are cheaper. - What breakfast. Didn’t know they had breakfast. Unfortunately the guests staying in room 311, right above us had a toddler that ran back and forth on the floor for hours. First night it was still going at 10:30 and started again in the early morning. Happened for 2 or three nights. An occasional jump off the bed was thrown in every so often. I love kids but it did make sleeping a struggle.
- Jennifer (7/5): Relaxing- calm and very low key as I escaped work stress and taking care of elderly parent stress- the aDA accessibility - Location- 47 years I have been coming to this area- with a family house in Tierra Del Mar- dad is 87 so a room over looking the ocean was fantastic and reason to not stay at the family house Our view was a little blocked by the Meridian. So felt like we paid same price as 3rd floor. Hide a bed was comfortable but sheets to make the bed were thin, ripped and in a drawer. The blanket was basic, I expected a wow sheet set for the price
- LeiLani (10/5): Epic view, epic comfort! - It was stellar clean which I loved! Staff was incredible, the Inn offered a variety of amenities and access to chairs and beach bikes!
- Suzanne (10/5): - Check in attendant was lovely and gave me clear info abt all amenities included w my stay Could’ve stayed 2 more nights but couldn’t
- duty calls !🤩
- kenneth (8/5): -
- Megan (9/5): -
- Jessie (7/5): - It wasn’t worth $400 night during off season. But nice enough for a normal price. Inconvenient to walk across the street in a deluge to check in
- Christopher (9/5): -
- Charles (9/5): Our favorite place on that section of Oregon Coast - Love the new room redos. And they kept the fireplace in the room which is why we stay there. Dining at the Meridian a big plus. Wish they had included higher toilets when they upgraded the bathroom
- Amanda (8/5): - Great location! The beach is just across the street. There's a super coffee shop right downstairs, lots of games for kids, very pet friendly. The room was clean and staff friendly. Walls are very thin! We had a room that connected to the one next door and could hear their movie on TV! (We were not traveling with them). Maybe it was because of the connecting door or just the walls in general. Luckily they went to bed at a reasonable time and there was no issue but in summer with rowdier crowds, it could have been a problem.
- Todd (8/5): - Staff hardly available. No coffee in lobby
- Nancy (10/5): Relaxing drive down the coast - Great view and access to the beach. Beautiful room Busy street traffic
- Christine (10/5): - Wow, just wow.
- William (9/5): -
- Jacylyn (10/5): - Awesome room included a large sofa with fireplace and patio with chairs overlooking the beach area with haystack rock (over a road and parking lot). Easy to walk to beach, sand dune and a few shops, Pelican brewing and restaurants. No charge for parking is nice.
- Matthew (10/5): - Great location on beach, great view from room. Had wonderful camp fire on beach at night with no rush In morning as 12pm check out. Hiked up Sand dune in morning, great view
- Danel (10/5): - Best on the north Oregon coast
- Declan (10/5): - Beautiful beach view. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay again
- Nichole (10/5): - Everything was wonderful better than expected.
- Tiina (10/5): - Amazing place and hotel so clean and perfect spot.
- Anne Marie (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): -
- Palla (10/5): Very satisfied and would visit again - Clean rooms, friendly staff and pet friendly. Place is very convenient. Right opposite the beach
- Alicia (10/5): -
- Blaine (10/5): - The TV in our room did not work to our satisfaction. It came on and had a "continue" button on screen but did not work, no matter what remote controls we tried. I called the front desk about it and I was told that "streaming" was the only TV option. No local channels with news, etc. We are older seniors with very little streaming experience, or desires to put new charges on our credit cards. It just didn't work for us.
- Michael (7/5): -
- Cyndy (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location Coffee house and bakery next to hotel Beach access right across the street Beautiful views
- Beth (10/5): Lovely place! - Location. Friendly people at check in. Nice amenities in the room and around hotel.
- Khara (10/5): - Beautiful, clean, and updated! Loved this property!
- Megan (8/5): - The property has undergone updates. Everything in the room was new. The view from the room was great. My family enjoyed walking up the huge dune. We did play miniature golf one afternoon. Dining options are limited as this is a small town but overall a nice place to stop for a few nights.
- Jamie (10/5): - This was the perfect stay in the most tiniest little town. We loved it, had a nice view of the ocean and there was a coffee shop right underneath us. We would love to go back when exploring Oregon!
- Teresa (10/5): Great view! - Beautiful view of the ocean! The hotel is almost done with a remodel. Our room was clean and updated. You will hear traffic from the road and parking lot but we turned on the ac which drowned out the noise. Bed was comfy and loved the fireplace and sitting area.
- Cynthia (8/5): Very good -
- Steele (8/5): Wish we could stay longer - Great view from our balcony Local store coffee food was great
- Jeff (10/5): - Amazing view of the coastline and a great location.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Krista (10/5): The view was amazing... when the fog lifted - The location was perfect! The hot tub and pool were not on-site.
- Anton (7/5): Great location, good value, fantastic views - Recently refurbished
- Robert (9/5): Neat beach town location, close to pub, walking and enjoying the Cape - Room was very clean and all the furniture etc. new and updated all good
- victoria (10/5): - This a BEAUTIFUL hotel! The view of Cape Kiwanda is wonderful from the room. The street can get pretty busy and noisy with the big diesel trucks towing the Dory boats in and out of the parking lot. There is A LOT of amenities around and great food spots across the street. Most comfortable bed and pillows that I have ever slept on.
- Caleb (10/5): Exceeded all expectations! - Loved the view from the room, the area around the hotel is amazing, so much for the kids to do and the free beach wagon rentals was great! Will absolutely stay there again Nothing
- Autumn (10/5): - Great location near the beach and walkable to restaurants and grocery store. Room was newly renovated. Clean, spacious room with great deck and indoor seating area and fireplace, though furniture seemed to be mismatched. Nice shower. Excellent Coffee shop and Bakery in hotel! Cons: hotel along the main road - though was no issue with noise; check-in lobby was not very inviting and staff seemed disinterested.
- Roxanne (10/5): If you are thinking about it, book it! - I booked this trip 6 months ago and when receiving the notification of construction I was extremely concerned. I will say to notify after free cancellation window closed was the most worrisome. Due to several travel delays we arrived late in the evening. The staff manages multiple properties, and we had a small wait to check in. This was honestly the only hiccup… minor. This property is absolutely gorgeous. The view left us in awe, not to mention it’s not entirely secluded but is very calm. There’s a store, few restaurants, coffee shop and gas within minutes of the store. More within 30-45 minute drive there is more including casino (Recommend trying yellow dog espresso when visiting). Walking distance to beach access. You can rent beach equipment and bikes for free at the local shop which is a great perk! I would come back for sure, the view alone was serene and staff were very friendly!
- Pam (10/5): - They are just finishing up a renovation. The room was just renovated and was beautiful. Every room has a view of the ocean and Haystack Rock. It’s across the street from beach and Pelican Brewery. Loved every minute.
- Taylor (10/5): - Beautiful views. Easy access to everything you need. Very clean
- Connie (10/5): - Loved it there! Great access to the store, Beach and restaurants.
The only thing is the hot water in the shower wouldn't get as hot as I wanted. We did mention this to the front desk and she took care of it right away. This weekend was for my SO B-day. He always wanted to stay in a hotel with a view of the beach. He was so surprised as I didn't tell him where we were going until we arrived. We will be back!!!
- Neil (9/5): Superb -
- Kathleen (4/5): We had debated on spending two nights. We were happy we did not. - First of all, the remodel on this room, 318, was not finished. No breakfast was offered. The bed was the most comfortable of the room. The two arm chairs, which had filthy arms, were used at the tall table and did not work. If you sat in them, our chins were level with the table. My husband drug in the tall chairs from the deck. The overhead entry light was burned out. There were plenty of towels. The bed was so high, you couldn't see the fireplace. What is with those shutters into the bathroom area!!! They did not meet in the center or the two ends. You could look through the gap and see into the bathroom. The draperies did not go with the theme of the room. Oranges??? The drapes also covered up the air conditioning unit when closed. The blue area rug under the table was lovely. The drapes should have followed the colors of the rug.
- jane (8/5): - Paying for location here not a fancy room. Even with new upgrades, it’s not a 5 star place. Great for family, super nice people.
- Elizabeth (10/5): One day, run away! - Was my first time staying here, had driven by many times, just had never stopped for an overnight in Pacific city. Booked it the day of on my way, leaving Portland and heading to the beach chasing the sunshine. The food at the Meridian restaurant across the street is fabulous! Great views from the room and balcony.
Was under a little bit of construction/remodel, there was some hammer banging earlier in the morning, but everything they were doing in the remodel looked great. I look forward to coming back.
- Westacott (9/5): Beautiful place - Uber renovations
- Vincent (2/5): - Property was in total remodel. Paint, carpentry, etc!! We were notified about it the day after we could not cancel. The jetted tub did not have hot water. They apologized but offered nothing. Place is a scam for the cost of the rooms.
- Sweeney (10/5): Serene - I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and decor of the room. The view is wonderful. The staff was friendly. I can't think of anything
- Ma (8/5): Very good - Construction was going on so some areas were not accessible.
A lot of "taxes" and fees we were not expecting. Excessive fees and taxes.
- Kirsten (6/5): - The construction really made it less than appealing and limited the walking around the property at all, but the smell of the small fire in the mulch below that woke us and gave us headaches really killed the vibe. Shouldn’t charge full price thru such HUGE renovations in my opinion and if there’s a fire during your stay, I feel like a partial refund offer would’ve been nice. The morning staff who was running for buckets of water and the extinguishers by themselves needs a serious raise though. They worked harder than the fire chief who arrived wayyy before the actual fire truck…with actual water. <3
- Trent (6/5): Good but not great like I remembered it .. - I love the room and the view. Minus the pain smell.. The building was under construction and they should have been transparent about that. Also it was a lot to pay for it to be under construction and loud .
- Thomas (10/5): - Great stay. Construction in the hotel but never bothered us. Friendly. Quiet. Comfortable
- Carol (8/5): Nice stay - The hotel was undergoing a remodel. Nice room but construction all around. Check to make certain it is completed. Staff could not have been more helpful - even put in the extra lamp by the bed. We were disappointed the pool was across the street in another building. View was amazing. Pillows needed upgrading - way too soft - but the bed was fine.
- Berglund (1/5): Worst I have ever experienced at a hotel. - Too many problems and issues to list here.
- WILLIAM (8/5): - This property is undergoing extensive renovations (May 2025) but even with this disruption our stay was very pleasant. Close to the beach and several nice restaurants and a cafe made our visit pleasant and easy. The view from our room was lovely and the balcony was a terrific place for breakfast, lunch and dinner which we enjoyed as takeout from nearby Ben & Jeff's Burgers and Tacos, which we highly recommend. Our room had a few problems: 1) The bathroom door would not close completely, 2) The bathroom sink drain leaked, 3) the sliding screen door would not lock. The hotel very quickly took care of the first two of these problems but we did not ask about the screen door issue. The staff and the construction crews were all friendly and helpful and very courteous. We would definitely stay here in the future and look forward to what the place is like after the renovation work is complete.
- Blaine (10/5): - Great unit looks out over Haystack and ocean. Great staff. The site is being renovated and there is lots of construction going on. However, that was not a problem. Great place.
- Rose (7/5): Good - Location of the Pacific Ocean Construction going on
No service on cleaning the room
- Amber (8/5): Construction warning would have been nice - One of my favorite coastal hotels, but a warning on the HEAVY construction being done would have been nice. Or a discount for having to move my car, not having enough parking, and hearing hammers and saws all day. The remodel will be beautiful, but this trip wasn’t the best.
- Leslie (10/5): - Every room has a view of the Cape and the Haystack Rock. We didn't even mind seeing the parking area as well! The in-room fireplace also took the chill off
- Molly (10/5): - Lovely property
- Whitney (3/5): Swing and an absolute miss. - They are in the middle of a remodel. If you are booking it for the jacuzzi tub, sorry to say but the couple ones are gone. (They’re still pictured on every booking site) They only have a very small, single person bath tub with jets. The rooms are being renovated very cheaply, the contractor obviously doesn’t care much about how his work turns out, because it’s crap. The rooms are nowhere near worth the $300+ a night price tag they have. The caulking smell is overwhelming and will give you a headache all night. The location is nice just not the room. Not at all worth the price! Don’t waste your money!
- Deborah (10/5): - Great hotel great location
- Kane-morley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): - We're in town for a wedding and it was very convenient. The view from the balcony was gorgeous on our sunny day and overall it was very pleasant. Just wished that there was more food or snacks available after hours because we got in real late
- Brieanna (7/5): Good -
- Tuan (10/5): - Clean, nice. I love customer service. Super.
- Diane (10/5): - The view was perfect from our room (204). The location was convenient for what we were there for (wedding venue). The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I’d stay here again!
- Bushon (7/5): Good -
- Bertha (4/5): Disappointing - I like that we could see the beach and the fact that you can use bikes. We were able to check in early so they were accommodating. The bed was comfortable and blackout curtains helped me sleep. We thought that we would be right on the beach. I think this might have been our misunderstanding. I thought the room was dirty and outdated.
- Clint (10/5): Awesome! - Close to the beach. We enjoy the Kiwanda Shores area. Can't really think of anything that wasn't enjoyable.
- MOISES (10/5): - Grest view and great customer service!
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
