• remyl226 (2/5): Very disappointing after many years of perfection - I have been coming to The Purple for many years (since 2015). A nice small-scale hotel with a fantastic team led by Gianluca. This time I also stayed a few nights in the junior suite and here it went wrong. The junior suite is a nice room in itself, but withan airconditioner that didn't work properly. This one knew only two positions, almost off or full gas. The automatic mode did not work. To get cool you had to sleep as if you were sleeping next to an airplane. In addition, it was freezing cold, so I caught a bad cold the first night. After reporting to the reception, which it reported to maintenance, the report came later that evening that it worked fine. Eventually had worthless nights in noise and alternating ice cold or sweating. This is outrageous for such an expensive room! Other rooms have a perfect air conditioner that works automatically. I also don't feel taken seriously by maintenance no solution, no compensation, nothing else has been made. I haven't had complaints in any of the years, but if you have a complaint, they don't do anything. I’m not sure if I will come back again and thats a shame.

We spend the time waiting for our room by the pool drinking sangrias. The room was clean and functional. The location was great, just a quick walk to the beach, Cafe del Mar, etc
• 520r1ver (10/5): Outstanding - Truly outstanding in every way. The design of the place, the music by the pool, the beautiful breakfast, all contribute to making this an exceptional hotel. But the real jewel in the crown is the entire staff team - Gianluca and every single other person working there knew me by name within about ten minutes of checking in; kind, funny (don’t get Gianluca started on Shakira!), thoughtful, couldn’t ask for more. I also found the hotel really peaceful at night (maybe I was the last to get in from the club each night?!) - the clientele is really cool and grounded, I will totally be staying here again next year.

Big shout out to Geo who literally can’t do enough for you and is always there asking if you are ok! What a credit he is to this hotel. We will definitely be returning. If you are looking for somewhere fun but chilled this is the place. Food is very good and cocktails are amazing and very well priced.

Each stay has been an absolute pleasure and my most recent visit last week was no exception. The hotel is so well managed by Gian Luca aka The Mother Superior, the place is spotlessly clean and nothing is too much bother for Gian Luca or his lovely staff. Walking into the hotel feels like coming home. Highly recommended 😍
• MrsNaomiMarshall (10/5): This hotel is EVERYTHING - Where do I even start…? Everything (and I mean everything) was taken care of to the highest of standards. Before we even walked in the delightful smell from the lobby greeted us. The hotel is impeccable inside and out. The staff are ALL outstanding…nothing is ever too much. The rooms are spacious and clean and the maids are super attentive every day. The breakfast choice is fantastic and everything we tried was delicious and plentiful! Coffee is always hit or miss whilst away but their coffees are perfect. The pool area is amazing. Plenty choice of beds/seats/cabanas/shade. And the staff are quietly attentive. Gianluca (Mother Superior) is the most fabulous hotelier we have ever met. His hotel is his baby and it shows. Anyone who walks through the door is treated like family. He and his staff made our break 🫶🏻 If you want a brilliant stay right in the centre of Ibiza then we would 1M% recommend The Purple.
• Kelour (10/5): The most welcoming place in Ibiza! - This is a hidden gem for sure! Such a clean place that offers so much. Rooms are spacious with huge beds. Hotel staff cannot do enough for you, always willing to help and assist with anything. Offers a range of food for breakfast and lunch and all served fresh and promptly. Cocktails, hot drinks, soft drinks all on offer. Shower gel supplied in the room, fresh shower towels daily, beach and pool towels also provided free of charge. Such a lovely pool area too that is always peaceful. I will certainly be back to stay at this hotel as I couldn't fault anything! Missing Mother Superior and the team already! Kisses xx

• katiecK6340DH (4/5): Stolen possessions from the room. - The start of my 9 night trip started off well. The staff are lovely and made us feel welcome straight away. Everything was going well until day 3. My make up bag got taken out of the room by what i can only assume to be a staff member. I had two separate make up bags, one with brushes and one with make up. The contents of this bag was nearly 700€ worth of make up products and professional brushes most of which were new. When i asked the staff about it they said they would ask house keeping. They then asked me to speak to house keeping to explain what was gone. They went up to my room and took a picture of a pink packing cube as i said my make up bag was big and pink. After i said this was not what i was looking for they said they had not seen it. I asked the hotel to check cameras in which they said unless i have an exact time that it got taken they could not possibly see. I gave a time frame and i know that it could have been possible to check. They said that it could have been my friends or “maybe i was drunk and misplaced it”. This is inappropriate to assume as i only went out for dinner the night before and did not misplace my bags. They were stolen. If they checked the cameras they could see my friends never left holding big bags to conceal my make up bags inside and it more than likely is the staff that are responsible. This was very upsetting and ruined my holiday as i had no make up for the rest of the time and lost all trust in the hotel. I was talking to another guest at the pool who said her wallet was taken the year before and nothing was done. I am now reading reviews and have seen a review from june 2018 stating that her make up also got removed from the room and mistaken for rubbish. The hotel did not apologise properly or even offer me a free breakfast the morning that i was crying about it being gone. This is a big let down to the hotel as before anything got stolen i thought this hotel deserved to be 4 stars it was going so well.
• Robert (10/5): Adults Only hotel welcome to everyone. - Nice and quiet boutique adults only hotel welcoming to everyone and anyone. Beside San Ants west end but you wouldn't know it. Nice size comfortable rooms and good size bathroom. Pool area quiet, friendly and relaxing. The staff are wonderful and helpful, shout out to Gianluca and the team.

• P (10/5): Gay oasis, your home from home - Really enjoyed my stay! Hotel manager Gian Luca, aka 'mother superior' and his team really runs the place with head AND heart and made me feel so comfortable and at home! Whenever I had a question or needed advice or tips where to go they were super helpful. After a few days everyone knew me by my name, which was lovely and they were even telling me to be careful when i rented a scooter (my mum was the same when she found out haha). The hotel is boutique, but big enough and right in the centre of San Antonio, contrary to the Axel Hotel which is in the outskirts. To get to the port and beach it's only about 5 min. It's super clean everywhere, the interior and exterior has been designed with an eye for detail and to make you feel relaxed and at ease. The rooms are generous and very nicely designed, all with air con and working wifi (though I always have problems with the wifi speed wherever I go, never fast enough for me when i am working). The cleaners are also very friendly and cleaned the room to perfection every day. And every day breakfast the guys made a big effort and made a delicious special breakfast as I don't eat meat or dairy (quite hard to find vegan options in Spain). My favourite area was the pool area which felt a bit like an oasis with its plants, different sections, sun loungers and bench areas, a great sound system and cool ambient lighting during the night. You can get to the hotel from the airport in less than an hour with bus L9 (only during summer). You can go to Ibiza town with bus L3. If you are going to Ushuaïa or Hï or any other big club, take the bus L3B (only during summer). Location is really good. Highly recommend! Special thanks to Mother superior, Ruth an all the staff for the amazing experience! Also, you must try the food there, it's really good!

• Elaine (10/5): Personnel topissime - Séjour au top. Rapport qualité/prix rien à redire. L'hôtel est très bien situé pour pouvoir se balader à pied dans San Antonio. Commerces, agences de locations de voitures, excursions, bars/boites à proximité. Chambre très confortable. Ménage parfois pas tip top mais cela n'empêche pas de passer un bon séjour. Léger bémol, hôtel à proximité d'une cours de récréation, pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger, réveil aux environs de 9h. Piscine chauffée et ouverte jusqu'à 00h. L'hôtel propose également de quoi manger (alimentation variée) et boire (bar dans l'hôtel prix très correct). Le personnel au top. Toujours là pour renseigner les touristes! Bref, je recommande. Si je devais revenir à Ibiza je réservera à nouveau une chambre dans cet hôtel les yeux fermés!

Como por sus instalaciones, ya que está todo como nuevo, así como por su ubicación. Quizás como pequeña pega pondría que el baño no estaba muy limpio, pero volveremos seguro!!
• Simo (10/5): Ci torneremo - Bella struttura, in una posizione ottimale per visitare le cose principali dell’isola. Le camere pulitissime, il personale gentile e simpatico. L’hotel dispone anche di un parcheggio privato comodissimo e un bar aperto tutto il giorno per ogni esigenza dalla colazione all’aperitivo! Torneremo sicuramente qui nella nostra prossima vacanza a Ibiza!
• Frank (8/5): Great hotel, great host, great food! - When we arrived we were warmly received by Gianluca, a very friendly host. The room was very nice too and we both enjoyed the food (dinner and breakfast) as well. We did however ask for an extension of our stay, the host said this was possible and that there was a room available. Apparently a double booking was made so we had to leave the hotel after just one night. This surprised us and of course we did not like this. The manager of the hotel offered to solve this during our next stay so that is the reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5.

• Giselle (2/5): Last min disaster - I got there and was not ok with the ambiance. I didn’t even check in. Check in was 4pm. I got there 7am. I wanted to cancel my reservation. When I called booking.com they said if the hotel was ok with not charging you the cancellation fee which was 50% of the reservation IN EUROS! The hotel said they didn’t want to allow to waive cancellation fees. I didn’t like that. If I was there and checked in it would be a diff story. I never been to this island and They should of been nicer about the situation. It was my honeymoon.

• yanire (10/5): un hotel para encontrarte como en casa - Llevamos dos años yendo a este hotel, para nosotros es como estar en casa. El personal es muy atento, agradable y simpático. Lo que más nos gusta es la piscina que tiene, donde permite relajarte y refrescarte por ejemplo antes de desayunar( los desayunos están buenísimos). Hay una gran limpieza, donde destacó que en otros hoteles no lo encuentras como quisieras. Para nosotros siempre es una pena tener que volvernos para Madrid, Gracias a este hotel.

Stanza pulita, accogliente, spaziosa e per non parlare del design.. tutto molto bello, anche la piscina! Ricorda molto lo stile degli hotel di Miami! Receptionist sempre presenti a tutte le ore, ringraziamo anche Gianluca per l’accoglienza e l’ospitalità perfetta, grazie. A presto!

• Denny+Max (8/5): Stylisches Hotel mit entspannter Atmosphäre - Vom Empfang bis zur Veranschiedung bietet das Team des PURPLE eine wunderbare, persönliche und freundlich familiäre Atmosphäre. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Team ist jederzeit ansprechbar und Wünsche werden erfüllt. Man bekommt durchgehend von 9-16 Uhr und abends von 19-21 Uhr etwas zu Essen, das ist für Langschläfer absolut klasse. Chillout-Feeling pur auch durch die Musik die am sauberen Pool immer leise im Hintergrund läuft. Insgesamt wirkt das Hotel sehr modern und renoviert. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Poolblick. Dabei haben uns folgende Dinge nicht so gut gefallen: Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer Schule, bzw. grenzt dierekt an den Sportplatz. Morgens ab 9:30 Uhr ist dort also Halligalli angesagt und man wird von tobenden Kindern und deren Geschrei geweckt. Evtl. hört man dies auf der anderen Seite des Hotels nicht, also lieber ein Zimmer auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite buchen. In der Umgebung gibt es viele kleine nette Restaurants und alles was man braucht. Man darf nicht vergessen, das Sant Antoni Hochburg der Briten ist wenn man sich diesen Ort als Mittelpunkt aussucht. Das Zimmer ist schön aber sehr karg eingerichtet. Im Badezimmer fehlten uns Ablageflächen bzw. Haken für Handtücher. Das Bett ist relativ hart, und hat beim Undrehen immer Geräusche gemacht. Insgesamt würden wir, wenn der Preis stimmt, dort wieder übernachten, weil das Team einfach super gute Stimmung verbreitet.

• David (8/5): Enjoyable and relaxing stay - My husband & I just spent our Ibiza week in this hotel. The hotel itself is quite comfortable, room was a good size with balcony, comfy beds, good wifi, air con, nice size pool and terrace, confortable sun beds, all good. And free, secure parking, what a treat! Upon arrival, there was a warm welcome from manager, Gianluca, who appears to never take a day off, always there to serve & attend..... every day, with a warm smile. However, a couple of suggestions for improvements: the room could have used a waste bin as there was no where really to leave trash. And the bathroom is missing a towel hook or rack or somewhere to hang damp towels. Delicious & reasonably priced breakfasts, with good coffee and orange juice, served until late. The menu was well varied and food satisfying. Gianluca prepared the tiramisu himself and it was excellent!! Also there are excellent poolside cocktails. We were very pleased with the attention from waiters Iván, JosMar (what a smile on that boy!!), the late night greeter and our room cleaner, Bibi (also has a fantastic smile). There are, however, a couple of negatives I feel I should mention for a balanced review. First, as a gay man, I found that for a LGBT hotel (marketed as hetero-friendly), there were too many loud, topless hetero-females by the pool. Second, from the room, one can hear what's happening or conversations in the adjoining rooms and hallway. Many thanks to The Purple and its staff for a relaxing stay.

• Bruce (8/5): Friendly staff and clean rooms - Staff was very friendly, especially Miguel. Pleasant atmosphere and nice pool with reasonable food and drink prices. Bed was not very comfortable and staff needs to circulate more frequently around the pool for food/drink orders.
• karrah (10/5): Purple Hotel - They guys at the front were super nice. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar. Some guys were terrorizing us but they helped us kick them out. The only thing was on the wifi paper it says "free welcome drink" but upon asking, the owner had no idea what we were talking about. Also had a charge of $60 with no recollection of what it was and upon calling they just kept hanging up on me but other than that the hotel is super clean and everyone was nice. I got the charge resolved.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Purple Hostel - Well me & my straight friend booked to stay at the Purple Hostel. On arrival we were greeted with 'you do know this is for gay only' which was soon re-phrased to a 'straight friendly' hostel. Such a shame we got a poor welcome as the stay itself was lovely & the hostel is in fabulous condition in comparison to other hotels I've stayed in whilst in Ibiza for around the same price!

Great pool area but bathrooms could certainly do with some attention. My room was noisy as it was above the kitchen. Try to avoid Room 102!
