- OLIVIA (8/5): Excellent location for Convention Centre/ DFO - The location was ideal for the Congress at the Convention Centre, just a 2-minute walk across the pedestrian bridge. Convenient paid parking is available on level 3 of the same building. The after-hours process for collecting the keys on arrival was straightforward and well explained. The three-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, well laid out, with a nice balcony and comfortable outdoor furniture (non-river view). Two bathrooms and a powder room made managing time easier for a family of five. We didn't use the swimming pool or gym but they appeared to be in good condition. Beds and pillows are not the most comfortable. There is a very limited amount of shampoo, conditioner, soap, and dishwasher liquid provided, especially if staying longer. One of the bedrooms was small and did not have a window, which made it feel enclosed with no natural light.

We had originally booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1 - I handed the keys back to reception the next day and we went elsewhere. Management did refund us 1 nights stay and the cost of the parking.

- Eric (6/5): - Location is very close to Tram stops and DFO. Lots of eateries on Southwark which are a 5 minute walk. I have stayed at this location many times and have enjoyed my stays but unfortunately I made the mistake of getting a ground floor apartment. The apartment faces the river however the only thing that separates you and the many passer bys are a set of what seem to be very thin windows. You can hear what people are thinking as they walk by and if you want any kind of privacy the blinds need to be closed at all times. We had very amorous sea gulls squawking all night long and matched with very hard bedding it made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. 10am check out is a little early as most offer 11am check out. Would not recommend a ground floor apartment anything from the 1st floor up has been quite pleasant.

Tram stops are just a minute away and so is South Bank Street lighting is a little dark if your coming home a little late. Im not sure who you have that make the beds but the sheets and blankets are made half way up the bed. We always have to dismantle the blankets and remake the bed.

- John (7/5): - Location. Washer and dryer. TV. River View Spacious. Parking fees were double the fees charged in the car park opposite. Bath and sink hadn't been cleaned. Balcony was very very small and next to the air conditioning unit. Only one chair with one person sitting on it was possible (no table). I've never seen a balcony so small. It was a waste of space really, but I guess the owner can advertise it has a balcony!!

- Jean (8/5): I would definitely come back! - The apartment was clean and the location was good! One more key fob for the 3 bedder apartment would have been helpful. The balcony was great but the table had cob webs. The staff were incredible! The view was amazing. There wasn't a supermarket at DFO South Wharf. The toiletries provided were only sufficient for 2 nights at the most. One of the beds had a severe sag/imprint on one side.

- Julie (10/5): Everything about my stay was 5 star. - we had the most amazing view out of our window. The location was so convenient as we had appointments in the city that we were able to access easily from the accomodation. It was a short and lovely walk to buy a coffee, to the exhibition buildings, DFO south warf and some amazing restaurants. I honestly could not fault anything.

- Stephanie (10/5): I will return and recommend! - I absolutely love the location- so much so that I’m a returning guest. It’s clean, modern and near everything I need and want. I’ll return again. This visit I was cold so unfolded the fancy thing at the foot of the bed and it wasn’t until I woke the next day that I noticed brown and white stains all over it… after I slept with it up to my face! I was horrified. But I informed staff at checkout and they assured me they will take care of it. The staff are so lovely and kind that I am quite sure they were equally as horrified and will do what they say they will. I’ll still return! And recommend.

Would definitely stay again. - The view over the Yarra River and the convention centre was great from the balcony and couch. The room with the bath was just what my daughter and I needed. The location meant we could walk everywhere and felt safe and comfortable doing so. The access from both the river side boardwalk and the city side was convenient. There could have been additional bathroom items, such as toothbrushes and body wash. Especially for the first night as we arrived late and the supermarket is a distance away.

- Anne (8/5): Great one night Stay - We attended the Melbourne Celtic Festival at the Seafarer's Mission and chose this as it was close by. It was quiet, clean & comfortable. We had everything we needed for a one night stay. If I stayed again, I would ask for a room with separate shower; not one over the bath.

- Philip (1/5): Pictures are misleading. Check the actual apartment. Stank of smoke. - Nothing Overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in the apartment and strong smell of cannabis in the toilet. Apt was dark and unwelcoming and not a cosy little waterfront apt as it looks. Its actually on the main riverside walkway so mobbed with tourists and the balconies are so close its not private at all, at least our apt was. (amazed at the 4,5 stars but if you look further in the reviews there are negative reviews from people in this apt likely) Outdated décor and furnishings tired in some cases dirty and some damaged. No reception check-in after 2 PM with not enough attempt at warning us on a Saturday although check in doesnt open until 2 so we had nobody to deal with it onsite. Waited an hour for someone to come but then found out he was bringing an air freshner and immediately left and cancelled and had 50% refunded from Booking.com. We did ask for the next 2 nights to be reunded with predictable results. The pictures are misleading. They're not all of the actual room. They are some and other random pictures of that type of apt most of which look much brighter and nicer with light floors and open views. We are still waiting on the $300 deposit being reverted or refunded which is annoying as we were refunded within 24 hours everywhere else we stayed through exactly the same process. Have stayed in way better places for much cheaper with better views, accom standard and location, lower deposit and a 24 hour reception.
- fiona (8/5): good! affordable! - It’s near the wharf, very scenic and peaceful view. The CBD is about 10min walk. Some may say far but I’m pretty okay with it since the weather was good. Should have 1 mat for every 2 nights. I was there for 3x nights, will be good if they had 2 toilet floor mats.

Rooms and living area were spacious and great for sharing with others. Wasn't aware that there was free wifi. Missed the location of the drop off for keys, was not all that obvious. Was hard to find the location of where to take the rubbish out and as it was ended up asking some staff from the permanent residents who were kind enough to walk me through a limited access area that I wouldn't have been able to get to had it not timed well when I was walking past and found them.

- Garry (7/5): It won’t be my first pick for my next trip, but the location will keep it on standby. - Great location for convention centre. Easy access to CBD via tram or foot. Comfortable bed with two pillows each. Apartment was pretty clean. Nice quiet apartment block. Shower had a very poor pressure, large, overhead shower rose only. Hard to wash off soap and Impossible to wash my hair. No extra towels during a 5 day stay for a hair wash anyway. Coffee machine was a no brand disaster that made awful coffee . No full length mirror for dressing. No soap dish in shower or near basin to hold soap. Bedroom has no windows in 1 bedroom unit. No shelves for clothing, only hanging space and some hanging cloth shelves that kept dropping everything on to the floor. TV in lounge did not work for first 2 days, then finally fixed. Hotel style sheet wrapped doona which made the bed hard to make each day. Not all these things will bother everyone, but worth noting for those that are interested.
