Guest Reviews
- Benjamin (6/5): - Had to change rooms because the fridge was very moldy and the bathroom soap dispenser either was empty or not working.
Staff was quick to get me into another room and I'm thankful for that
- Chandra (8/5): - It was okay
- Otis (10/5): - It was nice good view
- Hadassah (10/5): Quick Stay in Weed, CA - This is a small family run motel. The owners are friendly. For the location and price it was a great deal; it’s both clean and safe. The motel is older. On site parking available.
- Malissa (10/5): - It was a busy place
- David (8/5): - parking area is very small
- Philip (4/5): - Room was very dirty and there was hair on the sheets from someone else
- Corey (4/5): - The property was dirty and un kept. Front desk was short and un pleasant. No room service and had to beg for one extra towel even though i paid for an extra person to be in my room.
- Keith (6/5): - Bed was comfy enough. Older Building and interior. Carpeting worn and stained. Bathroom sink was very slow draining. Didn't dare try the shower as not much hot water. Black mold or mildew in bathroom behind door.
- Stella (2/5): - Terrible customer service. Dirty with stains on the walls. Smelled really bad. The sheets were dirty wasn’t washed properly.
- Elizabeth (2/5): - This property was so filthy that I had to leave two hours after checking in. Now I’m fighting to get my money back because the hotel is refusing to give me a refund.
There were blood stains on the mattress cover (indicative of a bed bug infestation) and behind the nightstand there were layers and layers of dirt and dust, like it hadn’t been cleaned in months or even years.
- Deshawn (2/5): - Just dirty bathroom has alot of hair plus they charge $3 if you have company visit you
- Ryan (6/5): - I typically don’t go high end on hotels when I am traveling. I am only looking for a place to sleep and shower and that is decent enough. While this place fit the bill, I was a little worried from the outset. When I got to the room, the water was not turned on. Not a big deal though; I went and let the staff know after about a half hour and they had just turned it on with no problems. The water went out again a short time later, but turned on again without me having to go back.
One thing that did concern me about the room was the cleanliness. The bathroom had fingernail clippings and things on the floor, the sink was almost completely clogged, and the floor and furniture had a layer of dust all over it. I am happy to overlook that for the most part as I’m not super picky, but I think that should be something that has more attention paid to it is worth considering for someone staying here. Overall the location was good, front desk was nice, bed was super comfy, shower was perfect, and it had great A/C to cool down after a hot day. Just needs a good dusting, vacuuming, and some TLC done to the sink clog and you’d be good to go here.
- Mandy (2/5): - Front office smells like an Indian restaurant, room phone doesn’t work. Sounds like the top floor above my room is under 24 hour construction. If you use your cell to call the front desk it will go straight to voicemail. Don’t stay here if you a couple or a single woman it’s doesn’t feel safe at all. Make sure you bring a charger because there are no usb outlets. The shower curtain is hanging on by 4 out of 12 loops. If you just need a place to sleep for a couple of hours, forget about it!!! It’s not going to happen! You pay and then you regret it! You have been warned… I never leave bad reviews, but i literally feel obligated to warn you to stay vigilant and have protection if you’re going to stay here! This is a nightmare!
- Michael (8/5): Nice enough, but scented sheets … not good - This was a clean stay in a somewhat worn place. The room had what we needed including a comfy bed. However, they use either scented detergents or fabric softener and my wife and I both have breathing problems from those awful chemicals. Can’t stay there again.
- Paul (6/5): - Convenient location
- Derek (10/5): - Room was very nice.
- Penny (2/5): - Not much good about this place except the price! Room was freezing when we arrived. Bed was not comfortable.
- Michael (2/5): Super duper cold - I was the only one staying in the entire building so the heat was off in all the rooms. When i would turn on the ancient heater it would run for a minute and turn off due to a missing filter. I would reset it to turn it back on, butonly for a couple minutes. It was below freezing outside. I ended up leaving and renting another room elsewhere.
- Mansur (2/5): - Originally ordered a room with microwave, fridge and breakfast.
- Ricky (4/5): - Called front desk, and they didn't answer when i needed something
- Carlson (8/5): - Reasonable price with having two dogs. Very nice and helpful service.
- Sue (6/5): - The bed was decent but not great. Carpet needed cleaning! Walls need to be washed or painted. Bedspread was okay to look at but dirty when we looked at the underside. I can see some efforts at growing plants for the outside but they need to step it up.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When we arrived there was a smell, wasn’t too bad we just opened the windows. One of our friends realized there was what seemed to be blood on the carpet… was very unsettling. everything else was pretty average, the shower curtain also seemingly had some blood on it though.
- Peter (6/5): - This motel is convenient to the freeway, but not so convenient to a variety of dining options. It is clean, but old. The TVs definitely need to be replaced. I don't think they are even HD compatible. Mine looked like it just stretched the picture and was quite small. There was a lamp on only one side of the bed. On the plus side, it's a quiet area and appears safe. I think it was overpriced for what it offered.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Much to be desired - Last minute booking. "Lobby" was overpowered by food smells as it was directly connected to the owner's residence. Our room had a pile of dog kibble in the carpet at the baseboards. The "white" bath towels looked great folded up, but once they were unfolded, dust marks were apparent in the shape of a tic-tac-toe board where the towel had been folded. Long dark hairs in the bathtub and shower. The sheets seemed clean and the A/C worked.
- Sandra (10/5): - Check in was simple & the people managing were very helpful & accommodating
- Jaimie (6/5): - Friendly staff and room had a clean smell to it but there was a dirty towel on the back of the bathroom door from another guest and cracked sink and tiles. With a little TLC, it could be a great place
- Carol (8/5): - The proprietor was kind and helpful. She seemed to be the only manager around.
- frank (10/5): - Very comfortable bed
- Yafi (6/5): - The location was continent enough (with a car) just a couple of minutes from the college and about 10 minute drive from Shasta. Beds were tolerable.
The room with two beds is very tight, we had do a dance just to go to the bathroom (one of the beds is almost blocking the bathroom).
We stayed there for 5 nights and there was no room cleaning, at all, even after requesting it.
- Janice (6/5): - Too strong odor in room- spray cleaner?
Check in lobby reeks of curry .
- Martha (10/5): - Pleasantly clean and comfortable
- Robert J (6/5): - Very dark and outdated.
- Randy (10/5): - Clean room, nice bed
- Nicole (10/5): - Nice
- Michael J (2/5): - Nothing
- Sue (2/5): - The carpet was filthy, bathroon floor was sticky and the heater was loud and dirty. We will never stay here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Few options in Weed - There are not many options in Weed - we stayed here when our furnace went out on our trailer - we were glad we had sleeping bags - bedding did not look clean.
- Vernon (6/5): - Friendly staff
Had to move rooms because heater didn't work, then had to replace tv remote. Staff was helpful and courteous
- Michael (4/5): - The room heating system was very loud.
- Linda (4/5): - The carpet in our room is so dirty, mild around the window. We could hear the people outside sitting around having a conversation. I would not recommend this motel.
- Socorro (6/5): - There were dog treats all over the room
The bed had someone else’s hair on it
My pillow had blood on it from a bloody nose. We lost power around 8pm and did not come back on until 3am
- Robert (10/5): - Owneer was most helpful and pleasent to work with. very friendly ans herlpful
- Angela (6/5): - Poor internet service
- Eldon (2/5): - Property smells like sewage and has homeless people hanging out partying in parking lot. Very seedy gross place. Most likely has bedbugs, but you will get robbed in lot and the gagging stench is very bad
- Denise (8/5): - Very clean but needs new carpet and furniture.
- Leslie (6/5): - Bedspread needs to go! Carpet needs to be replaced!Walkway / cement needs to be power washed! Convenient location and with updated rooms it could be charming- office needs to be cleaned and updated.
- Pat (4/5): - People sent front of my room, smoked cigarettes people upstairs from me banging all night till midnight full-time residents living there. It’s not a great place just did two weeks vacation hotels every night by far the worst one.
- Sinan (8/5): - Good Motel for a competitive cost.
- Johnny (6/5): - This is a mom and pop style operation and they were very friendly, polite and helpful which was a big plus. The motel itself is very small and was an older property. The room was very small and we got the feeling that some units were occupied by people living there. Some of the interior had areas on the walls and ceilings that while clean were very roughly finished or patched, not professionally done at all. We got the feeling that somebody was cutting corners with this finish work, however over all our room was clean. The biggest negative was the very lumpy mattress that appeared to be sitting on top of a flimsy tin box acting as the pedestal for the mattress. There was popping like a tin can with every movement while in bed. This is definitely something that should be changed.
- mary (6/5): - Small rooms but clean. Beds were small too.
- Daisy (6/5): - Beds were not the best but it’s clean.
- Barbara (8/5): - The bathroom was a little dirty---it could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
- Stefan (4/5): - First of all...the 2 Women at the Counter are really welcoming and nice. I had the feeling they care. Went into Bathroom and was also clean so i liked it. But then when we pulled back the sheets its was absolutely obvious that they have not been changed. They were dirty and they had a hair in it. When i told the Women at the counter they instantly changed it and apologized a couple of times. The guy responsible for the sheets was also there to change it but i felt he doesnt care at all...he even looked at me in a bad way. I dont know. Later that evening we found also that half of the towels were dirty..
So i would say...the women are defenitely trying hard but i feel the rest of the staff doesnt understand what "clean" means...thats my personal feeling.
Would i come back...i am not sure...positive is that it feels they are taking it seriously.
- Ron (10/5): - Very clean and just great for an overnight stay.
- Mark (10/5): - When calling the motel, the telephone is answered promptly.
Upon arrival the check-in was smooth. Rooms are very clean and furnishings in good condition.
Excellent value for the price!
The only draw back is being so close to the road, however our room was surprisingly quiet.
We've never stayed here before but definitely will if we ever need lodging in this area again.
- Mark (8/5): - Check in staff was very courteous. Morning staff (Henry) was very nice and asked how we liked our stay.
I REAL breakfast was available in the dining room.
A lot of traffic to endure to get there but our room was very comfortable and clean, worth the fair price we paid.
- Angelica (6/5): - Stayed overnight for a few hours. Came at around 1:30am, couldn’t really find parking and anytime someone comes out, we can hear everything.
But as soon as we got there, just had to ring the doorbell, and we got to checking in.
- Dayna (8/5): - Easy to access and close to all stores in the town. Staff very friendly. Older rooms and bathrooms, but clean and building well lit.
- Donna (8/5): - Meh
- Normandy T (10/5): - This is a basic comfortable room. We were within walking distance to food and shops. The owners are lovely and the Wi-Fi works!! I would definitely stay here again.
Be aware, parking is pretty tight; I would be hesitant about parking an SUV here.
- Edward (2/5): - It smelled worse than you could imagine for the town's namesake. Weed. It was very old and unclean. I would have expected the poor quality had it been $24.99/night.
- Michael (4/5): - We thought we'd break up our trip home with a night in Weed. (We previously tried the Hi-Lo but a neighbor's dog barked all night). This took 3 long rings at 3:45PM before the desk clerk answered. Room was clean but carpet very stained. Soon disappointed with rambunctious neighbors, maddeningly slow wifi, and next to no TV. We'd thought we'd pass New Year's Eve watching college football playoffs but none of the only 13 channels available had anything close to mainstream programming. We accepted our loss and left for home (215 miles more) 45 minutes after checking in.
- Lisa (6/5): It was fine - I stayed for one night and found the bed comfortable. The owners were very friendly and seem to be responsive. The main issue with the room was that the AC/heater unit was old and quite loud while it was on. It was also very dirty. No way I could have slept with it running so the room was a bit cold overnight. But manageable for a one -night stay.
- John (8/5): - Room was ok, but don’t have control over neighbors. Bed was comfortable.
- Stephen (6/5): - It was ok. The beds were very uncomfortable and the room we had was under a stair case so it could be very loud throughout the night. But it was cheap and nearby where i was visiting
- Joanne (8/5): - It was fine.
- Michel (4/5): - Dirty part of town. Scary area. Property needs a lot of upkeep. Stairs going up need to be replaced. Not safe for the elderly.
- Douglas (8/5): - clean and affordable.
- Leslie (8/5): - Across the street from OK restaurant. Very conveniently located.
Sink area was too minimal. Toilet had no cover.
- Donna (8/5): - The cleaning was a little spotty. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet all night long. The area of town was a little sketchy. It was about what I expected for the budget price.
- Sheri (10/5): - The owner greeted us and was very nice at check in.
- Mark (2/5): Horrible checkin - Checking in was a nightmare. I booked two double beds, but at checkin was told I would get a king size bed. Not good for my daughter and I. After a half hour of phone calls, was finally given a room with a broken door lock that did have two double beds. Paid$25 more than their usual rate if I had not used Hotels.com.
- David (10/5): - Just what was needed.
- Peter (6/5): Average motel for one night - This motel was clean and OK for a stopover. It had a refrigerator and microwave, though the microwave intensity could not be adjusted. The TV was small and old and the cable somewhat limited. In my room, you could not see the TV from the desk. It's a basic motel.
- Charles (6/5): Adequate - OK for my night after a 750 mile drive. Good bed. Building well past its prime. Needs lots of TLC.
- Catherine (4/5): - Floors dirty, bedspread and curtains need to be replaced. The price is reasonable, but wont stay here ungain unless absolutely nowhere else to go.
- Jo-Anna (8/5): - This was a conveniently located and affordable stopover for us when we were having car issues. It was clean and the staff were friendly. We found the AC was far too noisy was our only complaint. We were pleased there was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room.
- Subha (10/5): Stay in Town House Motel - Very pleasant, comfortable, and convenient.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The AC is very old and noisy. Have a lot of dust on it. Bed is very hard. Restless night
- Valerie (8/5): - Staff was very friendly.
- Anthony (10/5): - Nice place for a quick overnight
- sharron (10/5): perfect place - The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room (#103) was absolutely perfect and the town an interesting place. Everything about the trip was enjoyable. The room itself was small but nicely laid out and really clean, the bed most comfortable, the bathroom was roomy and has a nice shower. Everything looked recently updated and the room had all the amenities we could poss8bly ask for. This will be our go to place when heading south in the future.
- Anthony (8/5): - Good place for a quick nights sleep along your trip.
- Phil (8/5): - Clean and convenient.
- Luolan (4/5): - Basic room
- Joe (10/5): - The owners were very nice :)
- Christine (6/5): - Noisy from constant long haul trucks rumbling by. Weed has unfortunately devolved, very little activity. Room was ok, but could not get the shower water anywhere near hot.
- Mary E (10/5): - Very nice owner, clean, care and met our needs.
- Richard (10/5): - Don't expect a five star hotel but if your wanting the bare amenities for a brief stay this place is great. The staff is very nice, there is a coffee machine, refrigerator, and microwave in each room, you do have to go to the lobby to get ice. Everything you need is within walking distance, restaurants and grocery stores. H
- Douglas (10/5): Good value - Very helpful staff. Room is small but space is well used.
- Charlene (8/5): - Great value
- Thomas (8/5): - Good motel, reasonably priced.
- Patty (6/5): - Shower handle broke, hot water wouldn't turn off. They didnt provide extra toilet paper. No hair dryers, no ironing board or iron
- Tina (10/5): Nice - I was pleasantly surprised! It looks newly remodeled. I was upstairs and the carpet pad was very nice making the carpet “plush”. My company will stay again.
- Ted (10/5): - Quiet and clean
- Joy (10/5): Safe, clean and quiet - Very lovely, no frills, SUPER clean and quiet place to stay - very easy to find. I was alone and it was perfect and I felt totally safe. I also got some good restaurant suggestions from the welcoming manager.
- mike (8/5): - Dated but very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just what we needed for a over night stop.
- Todd (10/5): - Inexpensive, quiet and clean my three requirements. The owner was very helpful and pleasant.
