• John Daniel (8/5): Location convenience. - It’s in the heart of Ximending. So walking towards the Metro and shopping district is so convenient The shower at times suddenly loses its hot shower.

• Pabalinas (9/5): The location is amazing.It’s hassle free and you can come and go anytime. I’m used to hostel so I find everything normal - Middle of Ximending. Across 711, Starbucks and Scallion pancake seller. Police box is also near If you’re new to hostel accommodation it would probably the toilet. There’s no segregation. Maybe, even just a curtain dividing the toilet and shower area would be good

• WENHUANG (5/5): - 地點離捷運很近，淋浴空間算乾淨。 室外可以抽煙，所以大廳經常會有煙味飄進來。混合房的空間非常狹窄，置物空間很不夠，攜帶登機箱也必須放在外面。沒有任何地方可以吊掛衣物。同一棟樓有卡啦ＯＫ，在意噪音的人應該不太適合。淋浴空間也很狹窄，我算身形小的人還是覺得會撞到東西。

• Mike (4/5): - The shower has a lot of molds on tiles. They should use bleach to wipe out the molds. The cleaner bleach will make the restroom tiles clean. It is currently very black.

• Ern (7/5): Good enough for 3 night stays - Strategic location, really easy to check in, no curfew and the building itself is nostalgic. Amenities are accomplished, I expect more for this price point; Beds are cramped up together, some lockers are located weirdly without much space to unpack. Sleeping space is tiny, although bed itself is soft and nice fluffy blanket.

• Yiting (5/5): Short layover in Taipei before exploring South Taiwan - Lively Ximending shopping area is just downstairs, good for solo travellers with luggage as there is elevator. The noise from restaurants/bars can be quite loud as the soundproofing is bad. Not ideal for travellers who sleep early. The restrooms are all packed in the morning, rec to wake up early and set aside time for this.
• Albert (5/5): XIMEN WOW HOSTEL IS OKAY EXCEPT THEY SET THE AIRCONDITION TO HIGHER TEMPERATURE AT NIGHT - LOCATION IS VERY GOOD, CLEAN ROOM, LOBBY, GOOD FOR BACK PACKERS, SOLO TRAVELLERS, OR FAMILY. IN THE MORNING TILL AFTERNOON AIRCONDITION IS GOOD BUT AT NIGHT, THE TEMPERATURE WILL MAKE EVERYONE UNCOMFORTABLE AND IT IS VERY HARD TO SLEEP AT NIGHT BECAUSE THEY WILL SET THE AIRCONDITIONING TO HIGHER TEMPERATURE WHICH WILL CAUSE EVERYONE TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE. YOU WILL BE IN SWEAT WHEN YOU WAKE UP

The common area is so cozy. Other guest are nice too and welcoming. Staffs are easy to talk to and helpful. The noise coming from the resto bar

It’s winter when I booked but I woke up in the middle of my sleep, in sweat because it’s very hot. The renter at the upper deck moved a lot so it keeps me awake me too and every time they slam the door

• Stephen (3/5): Cheap and well located, but be prepared to be uncomfortable. - Convenient location The dormitory was cramped with no space for luggage storage; there was air-conditioning but poor air circulation, so it felt hot and stuffy,even though it was winter. As other reviews have mentioned, the noise from the karaoke was intrusive. I ended up staying only one night out of the four that I paid for. It was easy to find other accommodation nearby which, although a little more expensive, provided a private bathroom, more space and better service.

The lobby plays music during the day which I found a bit irritating and because of the location some of the other guests were visibly drunk in the evening

• Luca (7/5): Location and price were good, chill-area and mattress to improve - Balcony was not comfortable but nice to have one, shower was warm, location was great Was not the cleanest bathroom area, everything didn’t look as nice as in the pictures but still ok, chill-Area is just that table so not the best, but at least something, beds not super comfortable
• Ming (1/5): Really not recommended for people who cant deal with drama and irresponsible staff - That you get free music from the karaoke above every single night. That you get guests using their card access to open their personal safe every night (which is very noisy, especially because we are placed right beside those). That you have free paint dropping from the ceiling every night. That they are smart because most people here are tourist. If anything happens to you or your things, they will choose to follow the law, which means you have to head to the police station and go through reports and courts. which they know u wont have time for. They wont help you. You can skip to (6) to not read the drama I am being honest because my review is not being manipulated by them. They have friends staying here at a better rate or people who work for them in exchange for a place to stay. For the three nights i stay i wouldn’t say there is a issue (except they do not greet their guests and are not friendly, always on their phones, do not understand or speak english fluently) UNTIL (1) You have to obey their rules whereby they say you cant bring food or drinks NOR eat in the room. (which we understand) - we were asked to leave our bag of souvenir or snacks outside at the public area where they store luggage - we agreed and confirmed once more whether we could place it outside, they agreed. (2) We left it for two days and on the third day, we left the place at 11 AM. We came back at 19:30 PM. Our whole bag was lost - we asked for clarification, they returned us the bag. we walked away without realising what happened. - when i went back to the counter, she was calling her friend which seemed urgent, trying to let the person know something happened. her face seemed anxious. - we went back because the packaging was changed, majority of our stuff was missing. one of our snacks that we kept and brought around taiwan (we were travelling across taiwan and bought, collected the snacks) was OPENED. the special sugar from taiwan that we diy-ed at a shop was thrown away. we wanted to know why - i can’t understand why the snacks were opened and some were missing. we kept the souvenirs for our family and even crossed an island to get it but it was taken and ate. if you were in our shoes, how would you feel? - we asked them to check the cctv and give an answer by 20:30 PM - at 20:00 PM, we asked for an update, the receptionist (short hair with fringe) said the phone is charging. - 20:30 PM, she didn’t check the CCTV and suddenly she said the CCTV was NOT WORKING….? she elaborated that wifi was not working.
