- Sanket (8/5): Great hotel with a few setbacks. - The breakfast was very lovely. The hotel itself is not bad, but the 5th floor (which is where I was) does not have elevator (lift) access, so you have to go to 4th floor and then lug your belonging to the 5th floor. The room and the entire corridor smelled like cigarette smoke even though it clearly states everywhere in the hotel that it is non-smoking. The amenities in the room were perfectly fine and everything was working. Except for shower, lot of water spilled on the floor as there was no barrier. Water pressure was absolutely amazing and the drains worked really good too. Location itself, even though it is city center, it is quite far away from the main square on foot, be ready. It is across from the train station which is good location but if you are wanting to do things in and around the main square (which is where most attractions are), you might want to re-think unless you don't mind walking 17 minutes at the minimum.

- Gabriel (10/5): Excellent séjour en face de la gare de train - Excellent séjour d’une nuit à l’hôtel Central à Zagreb ! Le personnel à l’accueil est vraiment gentil, nous avons (gracieusement) reçu la chambre quelques heures avant ce qui était un grand plus. La chambre était très confortable et la salle de bain propre et bien équipée. La chambre était face à la rue ce qui faisait en sorte que nous entendions les tramways passer même avec les fenêtres fermées, cependant, cela ne nous a pas dérangé. L’hôtel est grand sur plusieurs étages. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent avec un choix varié offert, une grande salle ainsi que beaucoup de places assises. C’est vraiment super que l’hôtel soit situé directement en face de la gare de train et devant la station de tramway où la majorité des lignes passent par là-bas. L’hôtel est donc vraiment dans une position centrale.
- SHANNON (6/5): - Hotel is dated but the location makes up for this. It is directly across from the train station so if you have an early train departure, it works perfectly - especially with breakfast included. There is some noise from the trains in the evening but it didnt impact sleeping. Updating things like blow dryers would go a long way.
- Leisha (10/5): Nice Stay - My husband and I stayed 19 nights at this hotel. I have to say, it’s clean and comfortable and centrally located to the sites, stores, restaurants and such. It’s directly across the street from the train station where we are catching a train to Germany tonight. The housekeeping staff is wonderful. We felt very taken care of. The blonde housekeeper working the 2nd floor deserves a raise! She’s wonderful! The breakfast buffet is really good. Such a large assortment of foods. Overall, we had a great stay! They are pet friendly and we stayed with our dog. The negatives are the two EXTREMELY grouchy old men who work the front desk. They are unhelpful, rude and condescending. One threw a tv remote at my husband and said it wasn’t his problem that it didn’t work. I personally heard him talking on the phone to future guests and was condescending and rude and hung up the phone on them. The other front desk staff were fine. These two old men are AWFUL! Something should be done about them as they are the face of the hotel. I can’t understand being so nasty to guests. I asked to have a 1 hour late check out. After staying 19 nights, it would have been a nice gesture. Nope, the grumpy old man said NO!

It has its advantages like the buffet breakfast which is really great with a lot of selections. This hotel is also centrally located so transportation will not be a problem.
- Leisha (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the main square and Zagrebs sites. Parking is literally across the street in front of the hotel if you need it. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Only drawback is the wifi isn’t good. Other than that, excellent hotel!

- Bessda (10/5): - A good basic hotel. Room is clean with A/C. Good breakfast and It started earlier than 7:00am. The hotel is across from the train station and in a safe neighborhood. The local tram is right in front of the hotel. We could hear the tram track but wasn’t bothered by it. We walked to see around the city, about 20 minutes from the hotel. We booked it again after returning from Slovenia for a night before leaving Croatia.
- barbara (10/5): - Very helpful check-in clerk. I arrived super early and he kindly let me check in. The room was clean, modern and very quiet. The breakfast buffet has excellent choices. There was a variety of cooked options, continental breakfast, cereals, cakes, fruits and breads. The staff in the breakfast area work hard to keep the food replenished. This hotel is opposite the train station, 15 minutes walk to the bus station and all the main attractions are within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Very clean, cosy room. WiFi bit patchy at times, cool AC, hot water for shower. Easy to contact the team for any issues, advice etc. Good buffet breakfast including variety of breads, cheeses, meats, hot drinks, juices, croissants, fruits, mushrooms, hash browns etc. Oerall, a very happy stay and will recommend to anyone looking. good work team. - Desirae (8/5): - This is the perfect place to stay for easy access to the train station. It’s about a 20 minute walk though to the old town. The staff were helpful when needed and the room was clean and inviting.

- Min Min (10/5): - Absolutely enjoyed my stay. The hotel was around 15 to 20 mins walk to city, and was in a safe neighbourhood. Breakfast had a variety, and was comfortable. Will be back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing location and breakfast but awful bed - Location 5/5, service 5/5, breakfast 5/5. Bed 1/5, size was great but it's very low with a really hard thin mattress, bad pillows and very starched bedding. Only one (thick) old single size blanket provided so if you are too warm and don't want to use a thick large duvet you'd need to ask for a blanket at the reception. We did not sleep well at all. Bathroom is 3.5/5 because we got a room with a bathtub which was quite high and difficult to get in and out of as well as the shower head's hose wasn't long enough so if you're over 180cm you'll have to bend over to wash your hair and it only has a little screen so you can't avoid spraying half the bathroom with water. Also, a really weird hair dryer/power unit. WIFI is 3/5 as it was glitchy with poor signal so we couldn't use the apps on the tv and had to use our mobile data on our phones. I would stay again because of the location and breakfast but only as a one night stay as the bed is really bad.

- Sharon (10/5): - The location of Hotel Central was great for our visit to Zagreb's Upper and Lower Towns. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. The hotel and room were quiet despite being conveniently located across the street from the train station and a very busy transit stop. The room was a bit on the tight side for our famly of four adults but was functional all the same, and we were not in the room for any extended amount of time during waking hours. The complementary breakfast provided many options for everyone in the family. I would recommend this hotel to anyone making a quick visit to Zagreb.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great breakfast, not so great bed - Amazing breakfast 5*, but the bed was rock hard, we didn't sleep well and only had a really thick duvet and really bad pillows but couldn't be bothered to ask for thinner blankets and different pillows for just one night stay. Room (and air con) needs a bit of updating, the blinds don't cover the windows fully so it's a tiny privacy issue. Location is amazing, breakfast was top notch but didn't sleep well.

- Emma (6/5): - The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location, it’s within walking distance of all the major museums and the Old Town. Buses and both domestic and international trains are right across the street, making it easy to catch a train to other cities in Croatia or even take a day trip to Slovenia. However, there are quite a few downsides. The noise from the tram runs nonstop, and the smell of cigarette smoke can be overwhelming at night—it definitely affected my sleep. The building itself is in need of a serious update. Breakfast was mediocre at best. While the staff were helpful, they weren’t particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. That said, it’s very basic overall. Bring all your essentials, especially water. I’d rate it a 6/10, I wouldn’t recommend unless location is your top priority.

- Shengdong (2/5): - It is shown "Elevator" on the Expedia web. When I arrived at the hotel, I was assigned a room 503 which is on the 5th floor and the elevator only to the 4th floor, it means it should take the stairs form 4th floor to 5th floor. I am almost 78 years and it is very hard to carry luggage for the stairs. I asked to change the room to lower floor, but not got it. It was very bad.

The breakfast was surprisingly good for a 3-star. Room was clean and functional. WiFi was secure with a password. If you’re a sensitive sleeper, this might not be the best option because of the noise from the tram. Otherwise this was a good and affordable choice for a short work trip.
- Daniel (8/5): Nice place in Zagreb - The front desk clerk at check in was marvelous, giving directions. The hotel is well situated across from the train station. There is a supermarket 2 blocks away below ground. You can walk to the old town. Breakfast was quite good, with many hot and cold choices. The maid was very pleasant and efficient. I would stay there again.

- John (8/5): An enjoyable and relaxing weekend in Zagreb. - Hotel is perfectly located directly across from the main train station, a 10 minute walk to both the main bus station and central square in Zagreb. The hotel is in good decor condition. The room allocated was spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided by the hotel was good with hot and cold options available. It would have been nice to have had a complementary bottle of water as the hotel did not have any vending machines.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hotel Central is very accessible to the tourist spots. The staff are accommodating and always maintained the cleanliness of the hotel. There’s a lot of choices in the breakfast buffet but its basically the same everyday. All in all, we had a great stay!!!

- Jonathon (4/5): - Upon leaving the reception area and reaching the third floor the smell of cigarette smoke became extremely strong. Stale Cigarettes covered with cheap perfume smell throughout the lobby and corridors and continuing to a lesser degree into the room. Very unpleasant especially due to the muggy heat. The carpet in the room was dated and worn and it turned out…..flea infested! Ankles and lower legs covered in bites that could not have come from elsewhere due to clothing and footwear making it impossible. Staff were fairly unfriendly - we had already mentioned cigarette smoke and been dismissed - so we decided not to bother approaching them about bites. We would strongly advise avoiding this hotel On the plus side if you do insist on staying here the breakfast buffet was extensive and adequate and the staff in the breakfast room were friendly and helpful
- Galileo (10/5): - The area is just across from the central station. Trams are also very frequent in the area. It about 15-minute walk to Tkalčićeva where restaurants abound. There also many restaurants close by. On the right side of the property is the main park where you can rest under the shade of the trees especially on hot days. The property is clean with a lift that only goes to the 4th floor. The hotel has 5 floors. Make sure to check which floor is your room when you book. The staff serving breakfast are quite nice and friendly.

- Soyuz (8/5): - The property is located close to the bus and train station which is really helpful. The main attractions are also nearby and very much walkable. The room provided was clean and spacious but had windows only high up near the ceiling which was strange. The breakfast spread was very good. Really liked the variety and freshness of everything. For one night, this was good hotel to stay in.
- Hong Leng (6/5): - The hotel close to train station. The main square where most tourist activities are 700m away. If you don’t mind waking then it’s a pretty good location as those nearer to the square have vehicle restrictions.

- Noah (10/5): - Perfect one-night stay on our way from Ljubljana to Dubrovnik. Easy 15-minute walk to the main square. Another 5 minutes to plenty of restaurants. Our kids were happy in the family room, each with their own bed. The breakfast was great. And they let us extend our checkout time to 12.
- Mr P J (10/5): - Lovely clean, comfortable hotel opposite the train station but only about a 10 minute walk from the centre. The cleaning and maintenance staff were particularly helpful.

For example, I had to borrow scissors and the receptionist helped me with that. The free buffet breakfast was amazing. There was so much variety and the dining room staff was very helpful - teaching me how to use the machines and refilling my water bottles. The room was pretty spacious. It was clean and quiet. Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent breakfast options were included. Staff was very helpful. My #1 reason for staying here was the walkable location close to transportation around the city.

- Edward (4/5): - After travelling for 2 months through Europe I found your reception staff cold and they gave me the impression we were bothering them. I asked a question and got a one word answer which was NO. During breakfast I noticed people coming in and saying good morning to some of the staff and no reply just ignore and the same happened to me. Nice hotel nice location but staff morale and attitude needs addressing. I very seldom review my stays but I was really amazed to see so many staff that portrayed unhappy employees.

- Fa Chyi (10/5): - One has to take a bus or some form of transportation from the airport to the hotel. But it is a walkable distance to the central bus station. The walk to the center of the town was easy. The breakfast was excellent. The room is clean with AC. Overall, we were happy that we selected this hotel.

- Andrea (4/5): - My room smelt stale. The odor hit me as soon as I opened the door. I the conceirge if there was another room. He offered me no apologizes but a room with 2 single beds vs my queen. That room smelt also. The conceirge said he didn't understand, "what does it mean that it smells? I asked for air fresheners or spray he said, no. The room continued to smell my entire stay.
- Märklin (10/5): - Very clean. Excellent breakfast...even the coffee cups were pre-warmed. Nice staff. Only problem was noisy pipes on wall that rattled when trams went past out front.
