- Rayna (9/5): The good, the not bad and the grateful - Ted and Joyce are such wonderful, hospitable and very attentive people.
It felt like staying with good friends or family.
Good conversation, music, whiskey, tips on where to go and what to do, humour, delicious breakfast, adorable dogs.
We really loved our stay with them!! Well, the front lawn was a bit messy because Ted had a fight with a squirel :-).
Other than that, I cant think of anything that was not good or wonderful.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lawrence (6/5): Grateful bed - This was an owner occupied Bed and Breakfast. They had dogs so watch your allergies. They were very nice. I had to pay cash which I didn’t see on the website. No air conditioning so the room was quite warm till about 9 pm. If privacy is an issue you should let them know. No private entrance you have to go in and out they’re front door.

- Taylor (10/5): - Joyce and Ted are such wonderful, charismatic hosts! They are so easy to be around, and Ted is so well connected he even helped connect me to clientele for my job in the area! Joyce cooks a mean breakfast platter, you won’t be hungry again until dinner! The space offers privacy with a sliding door between living quarters and their home, private bathroom and is as clean as they come. Quiet, peaceful place to get some rest. Pillow top bed was dreamy. Felt like home! (But better because of the breakfast). I will be back!
- Tank (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful place. Great hosts, comfortable bed, and a breakfast that is not to be missed!.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great breakfast... quiet neighborhood.... awesome hosts
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean, friendly & accommodating! - Can’t say enough wonderful things about Joyce & Ted’s hospitality... this BnB was clean, cozy & the breakfasts were awesome!!! Joyce went out of her way to offer other breakfast options whe she found out my niece hates eggs which was much appreciated.
- Demo (10/5): Like staying with friends - I have stayed in many 5-star hotels throughout North America. These all pride themselves on customer service and friendly staff. However, our host, Joyce and Ted, are above them all. I was very late (after 10:30pm) due to plain problems and was greeted at the door by both Joyce and Ted with a smile and an offer of coffee and a muffin. I had to turn them down and I fell asleep right away and woke up to have breakfast that was so overwhelming and delicious I asked her to serve the same meal again on my last day breakfast. After five days, I think I’ve gained at least 5 pounds compliments of Joyce and her gourmet breakfasts. As a businessperson, you usually check in to a hotel, work all day and then work that evening until finally you go to sleep and then wake-up the next morning and do it all over again. However, at The Grateful Bed B'n'B, I was made to feel part of the family and it was great. I was even invited to have dinner and celebrate a friend’s birthday with cake, ice cream and great conversation. What else can one ask when you’re away from family and friends? You make new friends and I think I did that at the “Grateful Bed B & B, a true “Home away from Home”.
- Phyllis (10/5): Reasonably priced home away from home - Apparently I had not read your notice correctly and was not aware of a check in time. We arrived at the dinner hour so our start was awkward, but they were gracious and welcoming. We left friends which is what we expect from a bnb hosts
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a house converted into a bed & breakfast in a suburban area. It was like visiting relatives and using their house for the duration of the trip.
- Shivanii (10/5): Grateful Bed & Breakfast - I had a wonderful time staying with Joyce and Ted. They are most hospitable and friendly. Their home is very cosy, the garden is beautiful, and they're incredibly generous - Joyce packed us off in the morning with a muffin to go and a paper bag, and offered the basket of apples from their garden. They have hummingbirds in their garden and beronias and dahlias on the front steps and veranda. A wonderful overnight stay - thank you so much, Joyce and Ted!
