- Carlitos (10/5): - Das Hotel, eine ehemalige Privatresidenz, ist mit ihrem Charme aussergewöhnlich. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Für einen kleinen Aufpreis konnten wir in einer geräumigen Suite logieren. Wir haben das Frühstück auswärts genossen. Der Preis ist für kolumbianische Verhältnisse zu hoch. - Eine nahegelegene Diskothek hat leider das Einschlafen am Wochenende erschwert. Bei der Zimmerwahl ist darauf zu achten.

No había un lugar adecuado para trabajar con un computador. No hay posibilidad de acceder a un equipo de cómputo, tampoco para imprimir documentos. No está adecuado el hotel para viajes de trabajo. Muchisima demora en servir desayuno. Inconveniente cuando se viaja por razones de trabajo. Aproximadamente 40 minutos en la mañana para servir a la mesa el desayuno.

El desayuno es espectacular. La carta de restaurante para almuerzos y restaurante a mi modo de ver es bastante escasa de alternativas. Dada las construcciones de las viviendas de Villa de Leyva, se recomienda que se mantengan aireadas para evitar un olor a húmedo en el momento de su recpeción.

- Soeren (7/5): Good hotel, but falling slightly short of expectations. - Mixed feelings about this. On one side it is a perfect minimalistic theme hotel, that gives a great local/historic feel. On the other hand, also a somewhat tired feel, but difficult to quite pinpoint what is historic vs tired. How ever, in total not quite the value feel I was expecting.

Considero que hace falta un poco más de empatía de la administración del hotel al llegar frente a las opciones de habitación. Nos hubiese gustado mucho que nos ofrecieran otra habiltación sin tener que pagar por un "ascenso" y debería ser ofrecido sin mayores tropiezos. Por otra parte, entendemos la calidad del personal que está atendiendo el hotel, del cual no tenemos queja alguna, pero sí es muy importante contar con alguien en recepción para poder atender alguna necesidad que se tenga.

Staff was friendly (but needed better management). The hotel is quite beautiful, and the staff was very friendly when we visited. However, there were many instances of management problems, likely from absent management during midweek. The parking lot pricing was misleading, which could have caused conflict had we chosen to escalate. Despite the hotel being almost empty most of our stay, we were put in one of the worst rooms available, ground floor next to reception and without windows to the outside. There was a general feel of lack of senior management onsite, with staff doing the best possible, but often lacking hotel standards. It was the most expensive hotel during our visit to Colombia, and though fine, it was an inferior experience compared to all the others.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the common areas was relaxing and had many secluded spaces to enjoy a game of cards, delicious food, or relaxing by the fire. Some of the rooms facing the road had were a bit loud at night due to a basketball court right outside.

- Jean Marc (4/5): No lo recomiendo. Muy caro para lo que es. - Pagué 420 dólares por noche en un hotel que tiene limitantes serias en cuanto a infraestructura. Las puertas son antiguas y se cierran con un candado escolar. La habitación duplex da a la calle y no tiene control de ruido. Me desperté a las 5 am cuando pasó el primer camión y me dormí a las 11:30 pm cuando acabaron un partido de basketball en la calle. Tuvimos que dormir la segunda noche en una habitación de menor valor pero silenciosa, pero el hotel no tiene un sistema de servicio al cliente. Las niñas del servicio son muy queridas pero no tienen entrenamiento profesional hotelero. Todo lo tienen que preguntar via chat al dueño. La casa es bonita pero funciona como si fuera una finca alquilada. Pienso que la relación precio/oferta es muy mala. Definitivamente hay mejores opciones a menor precio. No lo recomiendo.

The location is perfect since it is a 5min walk to the Plaza Mayor but also very quiet. what makes this property excellent is definitely the staff. A group of young ladies that took care of everything with best disposition!
