Guest Reviews
- Liana (8/5): Perfect site if you have no mobility issues. - We enjoyed the old building with thick stone walls (still showing in some of the rooms), old brick, and the ancient tiny fireplace (non-working) in the dining/living area. Bathroom is completely updated with a small corner shower only. Very steep steps and street on a good slope, with heavy original entrance doors can make it difficult to enter and exit especially with luggage. All part of the Vieux Quebec experience though. We didn't have trouble with virtual check in but the information on the back of the door through a QR code was out of date. Email bounced back when we had a toilet issue and we had to phone a number and ask for a plumbing person to come to the room - there was no plunger in the apartment or we could have fixed the issue ourselves. Instead they did not come while we were out of the room for the day (as we had asked them to) and when we got back we assumed the toilet had been fixed, flushed it, and then it actually overflowed. Our only option was to throw towels down as a dam and phone again. A young gal (student help?) finally came with a plunger, used it and voila... fixed. She took the wet towels down to the laundry room and cleaned up the floor too.
SUGGESTION: All this could have been avoided with a simple $5 plunger in the bathroom.
Other than this issue, we would stay here again as it is walking distance to Chateau Frontenac, the rest of the old city, and the Citadel, as well as some yummy restaurants.
- Robert (8/5): - Convenient, quiet and easy to reach all of the old quarter of Quebec City.
- Wendy (8/5): Things to know - Location was excellent, condition of the property was less than expected. Difficult entry through heavy doors and steep steps to access the the unit. Bedroom was below ground with stairs that could be tricky for anyone with balance issues.
- Mary (8/5): - Very clean, nice amenities. Difficulty access the front door. Not handicap accessible
- Justin (10/5): - Excellent location and the property was exactly as described. We rented two separate rooms for a family stay and both were in excellent condition. Kitchens had everything we needed for a light meal, a bottle of wine, etc. Parking garage is right around the corner (we paid $20 per day max). About 10 min walk to most points of interest in old town. Good communication about check in and room access. Will stay again when visiting.
- Lawrence (8/5): - The location was great near shopping and restaurants. The value was excellent.
I had a minor problem with the refrigerator, but it was quickly remedied. The microwave didn't work -- I didn't notice it until my last day as I didn't need it.
The security system in the entryway was great. However, carrying heavy suitcases up the stairs between the street door and the building door was REALLY difficult. There's not enough room to set them down on the stairs and both doors are heavy.
All in all, I was very happy with my lodging. I would stay there again.
- Jim (10/5): - We liked that it was well situated. We were able to make meals when we wanted. We did not like that the street was a little noisy as the windows were an old single panel style, also the curtains did not block out the light as well as we would have liked.
- Hsin Hui (8/5): Big apartment, great location - The property is in the center of actions. The apartment is big with large dinner table. The bed is clean, toilet is new and towels are very clean.
The kitchen is a bit old. When cooking, the fan doesn't realy exhaust the smoke vell. The cooking pans are definitely needed to be replaced. Some kitchen lighting doesnt work as well.
- Natalia (10/5): - Very cute and nice place to stay in the heart of Old Quebec. The kitchen is enough equipped to make even Christmas dinner
- Jodi (10/5): - Very conveniently located, spacious, with lovely detail of exposed brick and stone, and a lovely looking fireplace
- Melissa (6/5): Great location. Pack light - Great location as it’s close to all amenities. But pack very light. Virtually no where to park on the street to unload or load your baggage and it’s incredibly difficult to get your baggage into the apartment through the big doors and steep stairs. Parking is off site about 500m away. The pots and pans need to be updated. They were extremely worn out. Could use another comfy chair also as we were 4 and only had comfy seats for 3. 1 person had to sit on wood dinner table chair.
- Joseph (8/5): - Location was awesome, and the place was all we wanted. Parking was a pain, the only drawback.
- Wayne (4/5): - Nice solid building considering its age. The unit is clean and enough space for 2. No AC in the room wish a ceiling fan would help to cool the room temperature. Parking is $30 12hrs(max)! And not all the spots allowed to pay&park got a ticket after checked in $54! Park outside the old town and Uber in maybe the better option.
- Janet (10/5): - Loved the location in Old Quebec. Easy to walk to all local tourist attractions. Easy check in. Kitchen was well equipped.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The noise of cars and construction outside was very loud, and the only view is of the windows of the apartment across the street.
There were no see-through curtains, so I had to keep the blackout curtains closed at all times or else they could see everything from there, which was very uncomfortable.
I also thought that the bathtub was not plugged even though there was a bathtub in the room, which was very unfriendly.
- Renate (10/5): - What a marvelous place. Close to parking, close to Rue St. Jean and close to old town. Great apartment, had everything we needed.
- William (10/5): - Check in was superb! digital code at front door and entering the room. Totally contact free check in and out. The loft was amazing, clean and great value. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
- Hoang Dai (6/5): - The place is good, location is convenient if you only want to travel around old Quebec. But once somebody cooks from other rooms, this room will be affected. Just something to keep in mind
- Jennifer (10/5): - Great place to stay right in the middle of Old Quebec. Well equipped kitchen, extra clean and comfortable bed.
- Evert (6/5): - It is in the heart of old Quebec city and is close to everything.
The kitchen is very handy for breakfast .
The mattress is tired and needs to be replaced.
The bathroom is outdated and needs to be updated . The tv is extremely tiny, I would recommend upgrading the size.
- cindy (8/5): - Overall a great stay! The location was fantastic. Very tiny but well laid out and suited our purpose. My only complaint was that they didn’t leave us any suggestions for parking. We chose the closest Green P parking lot and inadvertently paid $30 for the maximum stay. When we printed the ticket it was only valid for 12 hours!!
Be sure to research the parking before you arrive!!!
- Dave (6/5): - Not for seniors. Steep stairs. Difficult getting bags to room.
- Temur (10/5): - Location and service provided very good!
- Saeed (6/5): - The location is great, close to all places you want to see by walking.
Our unit was on the 3rd floor and we had to use stairs to the third floor, old building, no elevator.
It is a suite for 4 people, but the dining table has only 2 chairs!!!! We had a hard time dinning with only 2 chairs. Very limited and basic items in the kitchen, even not enogh plates and bowls for 4 people.
Bed blankets and floor (mostly under the bed) were not clean.
- Claire (8/5): The haute-ville Loft weekend - The room number 8 was small but comfy. Small kitchen but we didnt use it since we were just for one night ... a small pack of coffee would have been great to have since there is a coffee machine .
There wae only a brick wall vew when we opened the curtain ... i was desapointed ...
The room is on the 3rd floor so bring a light bag because there is a lot of steps to go up!! I went with my daughter and we slept in the same bed wich was a queen we were very comfy and the sheet and pillows were all white and very clean... we slept like babies ...
Overall this place is good for one night stay.
Our car was parked close by in an interior garage at $22/day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our apartment was located on 2nd floor of old building without elevator. The building is near all historical sites and restaurants. It was easy to find the building and apartment. Multilevel underground parking is nearby but guests will need to figure out where to park for convenience walking in and out. Only one TV is in leaving room. No TV in bedroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - In the heart of the walled Old Quebec City.
Very well maintained.
Little apartment with kitchen and all of what you need.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was fine. It's not a Palace, but everything was quite clean and as per pictures and most importanly the location is excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful studio with a kitchen that has all the things we need to cook when we don't want to spend money to eat outside! Very clean and homely.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed in apartment #2 and enjoyed it. The check-in and check-out process is great, just enter your room and grab your key when you get there, leave the key where you found it when you leave. Super easy. The room was clean and the hotel is walking distance to everything.
- Warren (10/5): Great Place - A great location, clean and everything you need.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a great spot. Really is just fine the street from everything. We loved it. Paid underground Parking is just up the street and through the gate Parliament building is 1/2 block away. Nice to use the laundry and make breakfast
- Sarah (10/5): - Great location and beautiful apartment. We were able to walk everywhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful stay at Haute Ville. Convienently located in Vieux Quebec, it is easy to walk through the old fort or leave through one of two entrances towards the parliament buildings/ Plains of Abraham. Two market (marché) stores are a short walk around the corner for most of your eating and/or drinking needs. Just a little further gets to restaurants and shops. Follow la rue Sainte-Anne to get to the Chateau Frontenac.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and comfortable suite in a great location in old Quebec City. The kitchenette was equipped with all the basic equipment for cooking if desired. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. Our only complaint was that the unit was located up 3 steep sets of stairs and the building has no elevator. There is no reception desk at the property, so there were no staff to help with luggage. We found it difficult to hoist our suitcases up and down the stairs. Anyone with health or mobility issues would find it impossible.
- Richard (8/5): - A great place to stay ,with lovely old atmosphere.
However they should warn people about the stairs which are steep and 20 stairs each floor. thank goodness we were only 2nd floor ,not 3rd floor.
We had to unpack our heavy suitcase and take things up in smaller bags, as we could not carry the 23 kilo case up the stairs.
But the location is fabulous, and we would stay there again ,but ask for ground floor or 1st floor room.
- Mary (10/5): Nice having a flat instead of room - Great city
- Jesus David (10/5): Great location - We couldn’t believe we were in such a great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wonderful location. Everything was clean and worked well. It was very comfortable except for the couch which had cushions that slid off when we tried to sit.
- kari (10/5): Great place to stay for a few weeks - This was a great place and close to everything. Had everything we needed to cook and saved money. Go to an intermarche outside the walls on st jean street for the bigger grocery stores
- Luisa (8/5): - Was great. Except for the parking. We had to pay for each day.
- John (10/5): Enchanting boutique residence hotel - This is a DIY apartment rental. No room service, check-or staff on site at all. It is what we wanted-a furnished 1 bedroom apartment with full kitchen. It is a boutique "hotel" in a very old building inside the walls of Old Quebec. NO elevator, but modernized interior of room & bathroom. Hide-a-bed in living room- new but of Italian design & manufacture was absolutely dreadful! Cushions continually kept sliding out and pushing you to the floor - needs fixed or replaced.
Otherwise. ALL else was great!!!!
Super location and quiet (except for revelers on street on St. JEAN BAPTIST day.) But it was a holiday and good fun.
Quebec City is enchanting, amazing and wonderful and being in the heart of it all was very special. We will be returning very soon!
- Kelsey (8/5): - Good location
- Ben (10/5): Staying in Quebec City - It was so quiet and nice. We were close to old town Quebec and other tourist finds. Very nice.
- David (6/5): - The location was amazing. However, this property felt more like an Airbnb, rather than a hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The apartment was a beautiful bright space with all necessities and tourist areas nearby. Comfortable bed!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. Real character. Comfortable. Mostly the location was perfect for what we were doing in Quebec.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place to stay! The apartment was the perfect size for the two of us, lots of kitchen supplies to use, and was very clean when we arrived. They were accommodating to our need of dropping off our luggage earlier than the check-in time. One small complaint would be the icy stairs outside, was dangerous especially with luggage. Other than that however it was a pleasant stay!
- Jacqueline (6/5): - Great condo in good area. Parking is 18$ a day. Condo 1 does not feel safe for solo female
- Marilyn (6/5): - Tiny studio apartment up two steep flight of stairs. Good location in the center of Old Town Quebec City. The two burner electric stove did not work and the view out the window was a brick wall but a comfortable bed and a quiet spot to back back to after sight seeing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - This place is in the heart of the old city - in one of the very old buildings. It’s renovated, but shows the old atmosphere. Everything is in walking distance.
There is self check-in: a code for the entrance door and the keys for the apartment on the table. (So we never had contact with the owner, but it was not necessary.)
We stayed in apartment #2 (mentioned in the review of Thomas P). It was clean and comfortable. A little dark, though, since all windows face very small cortiles. The kitchen has more than everything you need - we did not use it except for breakfast during our two days stay.
We liked it very much since we liked walking around with the opportunity to come back for a short break in between.
- tilly (4/5): - I have already sent a review on why I wasn't happy with our accomodation
As I noted. False advertising. The pokey little apartment was nothing like what was advertised.
Please check your accomodation that you advertise
- Linda (10/5): - Great location, clean and comfortable, kitchen well-equipped and even has a dishwasher. Supermarket a walkable distance, several closer convenience stores, numerous restaurants nearby. Good instruction book in the apartment.
- Gary (2/5): Don't stay here - I don't recommend anyone staying at this condo. We were accused of damaging the kitchen table and charged $250. It was very apparent the kitchen table had old cuts and green color spots on it when we arrived. (The cuts were so old they were brown and dirty looking). I wouldn't dream of cutting without a cutting board. I think it's a scam and everyone is charged for the table. View out the window was into someone elses kitchen, fire escape and space for things to be stored. NOT a courtyard.
- Melanie (10/5): - Quaint and lovely
- Rob (6/5): - room #3 was advertised on the main floor, however it was on the 2nd floor, one/half flight of stairs up to the room.
- zhezell (10/5): - Excellent location to the heart of the town and parking.
- Samuel (8/5): location, location, location - It's all about location that you can easily access to the core of the city. Walking distance to the delicious restaurant, pub and shopping area esp to Fairmont Cheateau, so I would recommend this Villa to anyone who is interested in exploring Old Quebec City.
- Peter (6/5): - Clean and reasonably priced accommodations within walking distance of all Quebec Old Town. A few negatives would be lots of stairs to climb, no place to hang clothes and minimal shelf space in bathroom. Would not recommend for Seniors. No help with luggage
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place! - This place was nice, clean and spacious for our family. We stayed in the lower level apartment so very few stairs and easy access. Easy walking distance to area tourist attractions and many restaurants.
- Fred (8/5): - Excellently located. Had a tv problem ,which was addressed promptly. Great value!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Self-checkin was easy, with the two keys left for us. The front door to he shared foyer was secured through the use of a passcode. The room was large and clean, with all appliances working and good pressure in the shower. Large mini-fridge, stove, and microwave worked well. Legs on two of the dining room chairs were loose, so we notified the owner, rather than trying to fix them ourselves.
This property is located just inside the old city walls, and you can see the horses-and carriages queuing up out the window. The walls are think, so street noise is minimal. The inside temperature was warm, and extra blankets, towels, and pillows were provided. We also used the pull-out sofa bed, which is fairly new, with wooden slats across the bed, rather than a hammock of springs. Will stay again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem! - A charming apartment in historical old town. This is a great spot!
- Daniella (8/5): - We arrived after check in time and our room still was not clean. Be prepared to climb stairs. Overall the apartment was nice.
- Bernadette (10/5): A great place to stay in Quebec City - Le Haute Ville is in a great location, within walking distance to all attractions. The self-catering room was well equipped and very clean..although our unit was quite small, it was still very comfortable. I would recommend Le Haute Ville for the independent traveller.
- Stéphane (8/5): Location, comfort, convenience - Old Quebec is what this area is all about and this location is perfect. Understandably, parking is a challenge in an historic destination. This location is next to a multi-level underground parking, factor a $20/day extra for parking. The facilities are very well maintained and this is a rare occasion where the sofa bed is actually as comfortable as a bed. The kitchen provides a convenient alternative to eating out for all meals and is relatively well equipped for cooking.
- kim (8/5): Very good location - Very convenient. Could visit the old city and main museum s, all at walking distance. Day parking is available at a two minutes walk. The apt is close to the finest restaurant in town. The unit has a. full equipped kitchen and could be very convenient to people who wants to stay more than two days in town. We like the place. Will book again for a longer stay than one day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very cute place located in a convient locatiion. We enjoyed our stay.
- mariflor (8/5): very accessible to tourist sites. affordable rates - excellent stay at this hotel. the weather was perfect for walking tours. Many restaurants nearby
- CAR (8/5): great location - we love Quebec City so we take the good with the bad. The Lofts are in a great location, however for a group of 4- not ideal set up. The room was comfortable and ready for us when we arrived as promised.
I guess there's no need for a check-in desk.. everything else was fine.
- ivan (6/5): Good location for old Quebec - Good place to be based for seeing old Quebec. Lots of stairs to get luggage to room, but after that fine. Close to plenty of restaurants.
- Ann (10/5): We love Le Haute Ville - We've stayed here in the past, and we really enjoy it because you're on your own. This time we were in a studio and it suited us just fine. Great location and it's not far to walk to a small market on St. Jean to pick up food for breakfast and snacks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Old Quebec Charm - Would stay again - great for the price and a lovely Old Quebec feel. Great if you enjoy an apartment instead of a hotel as we do - i.e it's an apartment building - there aren't any staff on hand or room service etc. Spacious, clean and comfortable with ample kitchen facilities for two. Maybe not perfect as rangehood noisy and quite a bit of road noise, but not all night or anything.
- Carolyn (8/5): Great stay - I stayed for a few nights in Apt. #1 and really enjoyed my stay. The location is great for exploring on foot, as you can walk anywhere within the walled city in 15 minutes or less. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable and roomy. I would definitely recommend it and will return again some day.
- Lee (10/5): Central location with comfort and charm ... - This was the perfect set up for my stay. The only draw back was climbing so many stairs with suitcases and supplies.
It wasn't a major problem for me , but it could be for someone with health/mobility issues.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cosy appartment in the heart of Québec City - close to work, to stores, to restaurants etc... Nicely equiped!
- Heather (10/5): Beautiful little apartment in Vieux Québec - This was a lovely place to stay for a week while experiencing Carnaval. Having a home base instead of a hotel room was fantastic. Walking distance to everything.
Only complaint is that the fold-out couch was not in good shape. But apparently the bed was heavenly!
- Emily (10/5): A real gem - Great little studio apartment! Very clean and close to old Quebec! I felt like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's with the way the building was set up. I'd definitely recommend, and stay again!
- William (10/5): Great Stay! - We were very happy with our accommodations. Being there four days, having the extra space and the capacity to cook light meals for ourselves was great. The condo is very thoughtfully equipped, very clean and comfortable. The parking is not a problem, even though it is a short walk away. The cost is comparable to many hotels. We would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good but a Couple of minor niggles - Good location and reasonable rate
Unit was clean but small
Unit was located in 2nd floor and no lift - very difficult with suitcases
No communication with anyone other than by email
Had a problem with TBV -- it was fixed - but the next day
Overall ok
- Bruce (8/5): Nice Place to Stay in Old Quebec CIty - We really enjoyed our stay at Le haute Ville in Old Quebec CIty. Our room was comfortable and well appointed in a very old building just inside the Old City's walls. The room had a kitchenette with a small fridge and cooktop. There was also a microwave but it was on a very awkward shelf that was in a dangerous spot just around the corner from the bathroom door. The unit had a window air conditioner that was not well insulated for sound and there was a lot of street noise on our first night. We had to find a way to improvise our own sound proofing. The hotel is in a great location close to all parts of the Old CIty and very walkable. Parking was a problem but, once we found an indoor parking garage down the street, all was good. Overall, we enjoyed the unit even though there were a few bugs and a lot of stairs to climb...not for the faint of heart!!!!
- Carly (10/5): Fantastic Place to Stay! - Haute Ville is the best place to stay! We loved our apartment hotel, it was clean, spacious, had a full kitchen, walking distance to everything. I will certainly stay here again in Quebec City. Fantastic!
- RC (8/5): - This hotel is located in the main area of Old Quebec City and is right next to the attractions and restaurants.
Its not a very fancy place but if you don't want to spend bulk load of money in other hotels then this is a great option.
There is no staff in the hotel but the instructions provided before arrival were very easy to follow.
A covered parking lot is located 2 blocks away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean hotel in good location - Nice apartment style hotel in a good location, walking distance to all of Old Quebec City.
- Martina (8/5): I would stay here again! - We stayed at Le Haute Ville for one night on July 17, 2016. Accessing the street was a bit tricky as we weren't aware of the outdoor music festival going on that night. Many streets were closed in the area, and it took us a while to find a way in. But once we arrived we were very pleased with the suite. It was very clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom was in the basement, which I may have missed from the apartment description, however it felt safe to sleep down there as there were 2 large windows. I would stay here again when you want to be in this awesome location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay in charming old Quebec - This was a wonderful location in the old city with easy walking distance access to festival d'ete de Quebec stages. We enjoyed having a first floor studio with kitchen, dining and living are with a fold out sofa for our teens with a bed and bath downstairs for the adults. This was a great break from crowded double rooms!! We were given good instructions to access the apartment and everything worked well (including free wifi) so we didn't need to contact the owners during our stay.
- Craig (6/5): For the price you can find better. - Location can't be beat. And I loved being able to check in and out without seeing anyone. However, when it comes to the room, I expected more. The description was accurate regarding room size. And I didn't mind that the room was smaller. And we were grateful for the kitchenette (but one of the stove eyes didn't work). But more importantly, the room wasn't clean. The pillowcase and douvet cover were dirty. There was a used washcloth left in the tub from previous guests. And the room didn't look nice. In the picture, this studio is pictured as having nice warm yellow walls, white trim, etc. It has since been repainted to NYCHA white with brown trim. It looks not nice. It didn't help the room feel warm or inviting. And it's advertised as having a courtyard view. More accurately it has a view of a brick wall. And the wifi was spotty. For the price, I expected better. This place felt more like a good hostel, not a boutique hotel. You can find better for the price, maybe even with parking.
- Gary (8/5): Great acomodations - Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy
- Andrea (10/5): Great Location - The studio was in a very good location, parking is a problem in Canada but we had a public parking around the corner. A lot of good restaurants waking distance.
- Phat (6/5): EconoLodge is just in downtown - Ir is a hotel for people who loves to travel with a constraint budget like me. The fabulous advantages are it has parking lot and it is in downtown. The room is clean, comfortable and the staff is helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place for a romantic week-end - Nice place to stay for a romantic week-end. Kitchen had everything you could need to cook simple meals. Neighbourhood lightly noisy. Room temperature wasn't easy to set to a comfortable point. Do not hope to find cheap parking space nearby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Amazing holidays! - Our stay was lovely
- Janna (8/5): - Quite room on the second floor, great location, old building with small room, poor ventilation, but clean and everything is in working condition. Great value and location win over the lack of comfort.
- Bob (10/5): Feat apartment, great location- - My wife and I spent 6 nights here on vacation. Location- perfect.
Liked everything. Grocery stores near by. Walked everywhere. Perfect in every way!
- Verified traveler (10/5): We loved it. Simple and easy stay accommodations - Great appreciated being so close to everything only wish we had been told about the fire works Saturday evening! Only regret!
- Ray (10/5): Great apartment located in Old Québec - Easy check-in and check-out. Great communication with the owner. Overall, a perfect experience!
- JOANNE (6/5): - Went here for a business trip and brought my family along. It was a good apartment like hotel to stay in since we had 2 young children (under 3 years old). Very clean, great location, so close to everything must see in Quebec, you can literally walk everywhere. It is located in the upper old town and is 1 street away from the main street Rue St Jean. Also, there is a laundry machine in the basement, which cost $1.50 Canadian dollars. I will stay here again, considering the price, the location and if I am going back with family. The only down side is that there is no room service unless you stay 7+ days, which was fine with my family and I.
- Janet (10/5): Unusual but nice - Access was a bit of a challenge since we arrived late on a Saturday evening. Once we got in, it was more of a suite or apartment than a hotel with desk clerk. It was extremely well thought out, very comfortable, nicely remodeled with everything one needs: furnished kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bath. Will stay there again if we get to Quebec.
- Steve (10/5): Great Room, Great Location - we had room #3 and were very happy. The room was large, clean, comfortable and very well located in Vieux Québec. Despite my wife having a walking boot on because of an injury we were still able to walk everywhere and see a lot that the old city has to offer.
We would highly recommend booking this hotel and specifically this room (it is on the 2nd floor so if stairs aren't your thing think about a ground floor room). If ever we return to Québec we will definitely stay here again.
Merci pour un séjour magnifique!
- C J (6/5): Like home - This is a fully equipped apartment, rather than a hotel room. Services on site were minimal, but were available by phone.
