Uitgebreid ontbijt. Fijn zwembad. 25 minuten rijden naar één van de mooiste steden van Spanje; Salamanca. De laatste 500m met de auto over hobbelig en stoffig zandpad. ijskoud zwembadwater; was dan ook nèt gevuld en nog niet opgewarmd door de zon. Zou ook pas 1 juni officieel opengaan.

- Håkan (8/5): Ok - Superfin frukost. Bra utbud och råvaror av mycket hög kvalitet. Vi har bott på hotellet varje år i 7 år och alltid varit nöjda. Egentligen även nu men vi noterar ett gradvis ökande behov av renovering av rummen och även de publika ytorna. Dessutom märker man som hundägare att möjligheterna att välja rum och att äta middag minimeras. Att bara erbjuda ett enda bord (för 2 personer) är undermåligt. När det är 13 grader ute är erbjudandet att äta utomhus otillräckligt. Om man vill behålla gäster med hund måste ägarna tänka om. Till exempel allokera en av de många salongerna för middag för resande med hund. Det finns pengar att tjäna för ägarna men finns viljan att ändra attityd?

- Michael (9/5): Pleasant find, will stay again - Unusual yet a pleasantly surprising property for an overnight stay whilst driving to the Algarve. Peaceful, picturesque location only a short detour from the main autoroutes. Great breakfast choice. Will book ahead next time & get a room with windows you can see out of rather than in the dungeon! but quirky nonetheless.

Les logements dans les douves n ont ni Wifi, ni réseau internet ( murs trop épais ). À savoir quand vous réservez . Mais cela peut être aussi le moyen de déconnecter juste une nuit !

On sent vu le peu de réservations qu'il y avait un laissé aller..Exemple: piscine non ouverte(normal pas avant Juin), dans une de nos chambres, la poubelle de la salle de bain n'était pas vidée! La vaisselle, assiettes, verres..pas bien lavés que ce soit pour le bar ou au petit déjeuner! Peu de monde donc un peu lugubre dans les salons.Les plats proposés au restaurant pas bien préparés et le personnel au restaurant/bar parlait très peu anglais, qu'Espagnol et donc pas fácil pour nous expliquer les plats et surtout les cuissons! J'avais demander de la viande bien cuite et reçue saignante! Le chemin principal pour arriver à la pousada était en travaux et fermé avons dû passer par l'arrière avec une route remplie de trous! Bref, nous étions déjà venus en août et septembre(période estivale d'été) et avions totalement un autre accueil et plus belle idée de l'espace et du restaurant. Donc je médis que cette période d'avril/Mai n'est pas la bonne pour loger à la posada. Idem

- Glyn (10/5): Superb Castillo near Salamanca - A beautifully converted ancient castillo in the countryside north of Salmanca. Everything modern but sympathetically converted. Excellent breakfast and although a little remote there is no need to worry about dinner as the restaurant and 'snacks' are available. You can take the latter in various rooms or the courtyard and the food is a good as a normal restaurant. We chose this as it serves for most of the day and we were tired after a long journey. Highly recommended by seasoned travellers.

En de prijs-kwaliteit is niet te verslaan! Tip: Probeer de tempranillo die ze zelf produceren!Dit zou iedereen een keer moeten meemaken! Als ik kan kom ik nog eens terug. Dépaysement garanti à l'intérieur des murailles, voire dans les donjons où nous occupions une chambre aux dimensions imposantes. Nous avons été ravis d'y séjourner.

The hotel is very quiet and peaceful, the staff are polite and helpful, and the castle is stunning. The rooms are large and extremely comfortable, we stay several times a year when travelling to visit family in Portugal and look forward to staying at Buen Amor. Everything is perfect!

We will go back again Nothing- note though it is a castle with steps, different height ceilings and no lift, if you have mobility issues it is not suitable but they are clear about this when booking

- Patrick (10/5): I WAS THE KING OF CASTILLO DEL BUEN AMOR FOR A DAY!!! - Posada Real Castillo del Buen Amor is fantastic!!! The owners have managed to retain all the history and charm of a 12th century castle with all the modern amenities. Staying here was a once in a life-time experience at a very, very affordable price. I would recommend Castill del Buen Amor to anyone!!!! I cannot think of anything that would have improved our stay.

Y las instalaciones alrededor; el laberinto en los jardines, la decoración de exteriores, etc
