Guest Reviews
- Natasha (7/5): Short - AC and lots of pillows Carpet
- Craig (8/5): -
- Tay Zar (10/5): Nice stay - Clean and tidy, silent neighbor rooms, nice place beside food shops and grocery NA
- Armin (1/5): Thanks to the extremely rude, obnoxious staff; we will Not Return. And, tell Everyone I Know! - Location; Value for money. Cleanliness. the staff were Extremely RUDE! Absolutely NO People Skills! Except for the Gentleman at Reception!
- Isaac (7/5): Inexpensive low fuss comfortable base for being in the local area. - Fairly good value for money, the location was near the freeway, but the noise was ameliorated by a wall and a stand of well established trees. The poor reviews here weren't warranted in my experience, it was clean and comfortable, and staff made up my room mid-stay, which was nice. There was no free wifi. Reception was understaffed, rooms were small without good common areas for guests to use.

- Harley (5/5): -
- JASHANPREET (1/5): -
- Logan (10/5): -
- Londa (10/5): -
- Bonfadini (7/5): Neat and comfortable - Did not have breakfast Front door lock was broken
- Melisha (10/5): Very affordable would recommend. - Convenient location. sink was dirty
- Linda (5/5): Disappointed. I stayed here a few years ago but the motel looks neglected in the rooms. - I didn’t have breakfast.
Location fine. The bathroom basin needs a good scrub.
There is mould in the skylight in the bathroom.
Stains on the carpet.
The pool on the property is impossible to use as it is dirty and neglected.
- Sanaxonh (9/5): - Physical property Receptionist is not always stay in the counter, once we want to check out we have to wait until 9 am
- Ritchie (3/5): Won’t be going back - Clean No staff present, reception not open at 0815 in morning to check out. Called on call number twice with no response and no call back and wifi didn’t work
- Anne (6/5): In need of TLC - The bed was comfy. The exterior was dirty with cobwebs outside the window, dusty door track, torn curtains, only 1 bowl, 1 plate, 1 spoon, but 2 cups. The crockery was not cleaned although the bed was made and beverages resupplied. The motel is right beside the busy M1 freeway. The garden beds are overgrown, and could cause a trip hazard.
- Paul (5/5): Bed was comfortable. That’s about it. - Bed was comfortable and clean. That’s about it. Price tag, pool unserviceable and green, general facility is old and needs an uplift. Shower was like a garden hose with no nozzle. Person at reception not friendly.
- Joshua (1/5): Disgusting - Nothing The hotel is not looked after and the staff makes fun of it and don’t care.
Swimming pool was disgusting. If you are not going to have the swimming pool available for the guest then remove it from your photos.
- Shane (4/5): Alright for one or maybe two nights but no longer. - The bed was comfortable, The room was clean and there was a TV provided for local channels. Parking outside the door. No catering was supplied. The restaurant is closed so no meals were provided. We were directed to a shopping plaza across the street which appeared to be closed at sundown, no dining facilities available.
Grumpy old man who was unsure of the procedure was on the desk. The Asian owner (we presume) would not come closer than 6 metres citing illness.
We had to pay a $50 security deposit, but we still haven’t received the refund. CONCERNING!!!
This property is obviously struggling to survive, very few cars in the carpark.
Rooms are not serviced on weekends or public holidays. The large sign was not illuminated after dark which made the property difficult to locate.
- Craig (8/5): Happy with the location and very clean - Close to shops Nothing
- Kostas (10/5): -
- Dominic (5/5): Nice place but not worth the price I paid booking.com and mislead by booking.com as to star rating - Big room with desk, couch, radio alarm clock. Kettle, toaster & fridge. Free to use laundry and next door to grocery stores/chemist & eateries. Management and staff were really friendly and attentive. There is alot of parking which is great if you rent a car. Restaurant,Pool ,spa closed down
internet & tv reception not working
Mgnt gave me a $40 SIM card as internet replacement.
Unfortunately maintenance is not good at this hotel. My bathroom door had what looks like a punch hole that has been patched but not painted. The window looks like it was broken into at sometime but they haven’t bothered to repair it. I come to this conclusion due to my security experience. The fly screen looks like someone ripped a hole into it and the lock on the window has been broken off.
I didn’t feel safe leaving my valuables in the room and I wouldn’t recommend Bruce unless you are a single male traveling like myself.
- Peter (3/5): Extremely dissatisfied - Position Run down. Shabby. Dated. Unkept.
- Ann (9/5): - Decore dated but clean and comfortable with helpful staff
- halachi (6/5): - Close to work 2 downlighs burn out
No welcome free bottles of water
Reception hours not convinient
Reported lights burnt out, not fixed during stay
- Phillip (7/5): - Close to facilities, room was comfortable Probably due for an upgrade, but we have stayed before and it was very good
- Gabrielle (7/5): -
- Peter (7/5): - NA
- Matthew (7/5): -
- Jennifer (3/5): They asked for an extra $50 on arrival. Disappointing as well needed emergency airconditioned accommodation - Bathroom was clean Bed was disgusting, stained and sheets were dirty
- John (10/5): -
- cheryll (7/5): -
- Niroshana (8/5): -
- Chak ming (7/5): A reasonable stay - Location is okay. Bed is firm and comfortable. Staff was not particularly friendly during check-in, but staff was friendly at check-out. Toilet facilities need better cleaning eg. Toilet roll holder is rusty and dusty. Only has 2 mugs, no glasses. Old plastic kettle is not good. It would be better if can be allocated a ground level room to minimise effort to climb up a flight of steep stairs.
- Hannah (2/5): -
- Liz (6/5): Value - Location
- Karen (10/5): -
- Scott (9/5): Overall not bad - Location good no breakfast No internet
- Molimau (4/5): -
- karen (10/5): Great - People are friendly Nothing
- David (6/5): Perfectly fine for what we required at that time, but not exciting. - Was not offered breaakfast Tired furnishings and older style of accommodation, but hot water for showers on demand sas very good
- Rob (9/5): -
- Vyda (5/5): Location suited us - Location Out dated and requires a lot of maintenance
- Matthew (6/5): it wasnt bad. get what you pay for -
- Shrilekha (10/5): Would recommend to people visiting Melbourne. It’s close to shops as well - Hotel is well maintained and reasonably priced, room was comfortable and easy to get to. All facilities were available
- Sarah-Jane (6/5): -
- Terry (8/5): Plenty of parking and staff very attentive. - Location was fine, loads of parking, staff excellent and attentive. It's a tough right turn when it's time to leave.
- Angelo (1/5): Horrible - They very rude paid for another day and they cancel it thru the company that I paid and never returned my money couldn’t use the microwave to eat at night Very rude very demanding not understanding
- Elisa (5/5): 1980 called and wants its motel back! - The bed was very comfy Pool, spa and sauna unusable. Restaurant and bar not open, noisy at night, shower very poor
- Chris B (8/5): - You cannot beat the value for money
- Vyda Mcconnell (3/5): - no breakfast
- CHIA-HSIN (5/5): -
- Nikolaos (7/5): - Rooms size Age
- Green (7/5): -
- Teresa (6/5): For what we wanted a room close to Waverly private Hospital for early admission it was perfect - The room was clean and comfortable The shops are close It is a very old establishment. The rooms could do with a little Maintenance ie damp on the walls near the bathroom the smoke detectors require replacement, missing knobs on furniture. no directory in the rooms.
- Ian (7/5): Accommodation a bit dated but good amenities nearby - Value for money Reception
- Gan (7/5): -
- Scott (4/5): Outside looking in - Location was near shops and supermarkets Block out curtain was broken. Couldn't pull it across. No privacy. Outside light shining through curtain into room all night.
- Sinclair (10/5): -
- Rod (5/5): Old and tired - Not much, once a busy vibrant motel a shadow of its former self Old tired and in desperate need of some love
- Evan (7/5): -
- Nicole (8/5): -
- Maha-Pari (10/5): All good - Clean, affordable, and great staffs Everything was great
- KAYLENE (8/5): - Close to where I needed to stay. Across the road from shops and restaurants Rooms with upstairs accommodation tend to be noisy at odd hours. Lack of cutlery and crockery in the rooms. No microwave in my room, but other rooms do have microwaves
- Lyn (8/5): Great location close to shops and cafes with easy access to the freeway into the city and to public transport. - Excellent price and great location. Five minutes by car from a station and a 30 minute trip into the city. Close to a small shopping centre with plenty of cafes to suit your needs. Disappointed that the internet wasn’t working for the duration of our stay.
- stephen (1/5): It's OK - I went somewhere else - The place is pretty desolate and I see the land/building were sold some time ago to developers .. no one seems yo be making an effort with it Just a weid but cheap place I suppose
- Paula (3/5): Never again. - Very basic. Had to ask to have 2 glasses. Great bed. Very old. Not welcoming. Wouldn’t stay again. Wouldn’t recommend.
- Samantha (8/5): - Great little motel for couple nights if you don't want anything fancy. Room was clean, staff were very friendly.
- Beverley (5/5): Cannot recommend - Location
Good water pressure in shower Very tired
Outside not cared for
- Hurst (5/5): - Location and wonderful, friendly service Limited facilities.
- Rob Woolley (9/5): -
- Emalina nor (8/5): -
- KAYLENE (8/5): - Close to the freeway and shops Again the rooms didn't have enough cutlery and crockery for the guests accommodated
- Olivier (1/5): - Car park in front of room, easier to leave. What was advertised, and I paid for, was a clear misrepresentation of the product offered. Did not deliver. No internet or wifi and even upon request staff dismissive and clearly knew it was a pre-existing issue. Did not offer to fix it, and I couldn't get any work done. No lock on the bathroom window slid open safety mechanism on door broken. Clear safety issues. Couldn't sleep at all. Noisy loud heater. Bin used for hotel upkeep and guest use in front of rooms full and stinking. Room not the cleanest.
- Shao Shan (8/5): Great value for money, will definitely return. - Very quire and the bed is comfortable. Nothing
- Bramfit (7/5): -
- KAYLENE (8/5): - Convenient location and good price Limited facilities, but adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay
- KAYLENE (8/5): Convenient nights accommodation - Conveniently located near shops and Monash Freeway. Quiet rooms The cutlery and crockery weren't sufficient for the number of guests the room held. 1 bowl, 2 plates, 1 teaspoon, no other spoons or knives if you wanted toast. Also no spare toilet paper, so check before reception closes
- Laird (8/5): -
- hamare (8/5): -
- William (10/5): -
- William (10/5): -
- Jason (4/5): -
- Bramfit (7/5): -
- Bonn (5/5): Was ok for what I needed. - Was in a great spot for work. I stayed for one week and there were places close by for food. There was no microwave so that I could have something in my room or a kettle etc.
- Helen (2/5): Little more than a comfortable bed... not worth the $. The photos are not current. - The bed was comfortable and the location was very handy to the Monash Fwy. It was also very quiet and had a small shopping centre and Cinema across the road. Upon arrival, l thought the hotel was no longer operating - no illuminated sign, no lights or cars in car park, overgrown & unkempt garden... it was not staffed, no restaurant or bar open. Driving around the back to the 40 units, there was only 8 other cars... l didn't feel particularly safe. The room itself was OK but the split system barely took the chill off the air and didn't function properly. Fortunately the bed had a heated underlay. The bathroom had unclean grouting on the tiled floor and shower surfaces and the room furniture were past their prime. So disappointing since l been there before which is why I'd chosen it.
- Thyne (8/5): - Inside shower not cleaned
- Portelli (8/5): -
- AJITA (1/5): No one should be fooled to stay there. - Nothing entire property was filthy the cleaner was also the GM the old gentleman the other staff member was confused all the time.
- philip (3/5): Motel is old & tired, hasn't been upkept very sad, as it use to be a place you'd choose to stay at. -
- amanda (7/5): Nice and quiet in convenient location near shops and hospital - Quiet and convenient No drop box for key when leaving early morning
- Gail (6/5): - Bathroom needs renovating and a good
clean.Cobwebs hanging from skylight No eletric blankets or extra blankets or pillows.Air conditioner in very poor condition.Overall the two rooms we had were not good, however on a positive, there was plenty of hot water for showers.
- Done (5/5): Passable -
- MacKerras (7/5): Really just a reasonable motel - The bed was exceptionally comfortable
There is a shopping centre with plenty of restaurants across the road What must have been a busy hotel is now just a motel with no bars or restaurant. It didn't matter in the end but it initially was a bit of a surprise.
- Adam (7/5): Good -
- Liam (2/5): Unsuitable for anything other than an overnight stay - Beds comfortable, linen & towels fresh & clean No bar, no restaurant, been closed for some time; not mentioned on booking.com
No reception attendance
Was a motel not hotel
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Alaina (6/5): Used to be better - Friendly staff, location Room was like it hadnt been used for awhile, dusty, even made bed sheets had dark dust/ soot? marks on them, inside the sheets dust aswell. No blind on ensuite just frosted glass, directly facing footpath and carpark didnt make me feel at ease, i have stayed here before with a much better room and found it comfy and terrific. I marked down the comfortable beds as the dirt did nkt make mw feel comfortable in bed. Maybe just the room...unsure if i would choose to return
- Martin (5/5): Passable -
