• Nur Aisyah (10/5): Cosy - This accommodation was absolutely lovely and exceeded my expectations. The interior was beautifully decorated, cosy, and very comfortable. I had a real “wow” first impression the moment I walked in. Everything was clean, well-prepared, and thoughtfully arranged, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. The location was also very convenient — only about a 5-minute walk to Fremantle Market and around 10 minutes walking distance to Esplanade Park and the beach, which were both wonderful places to explore and enjoy. Overall, I truly enjoyed everything about this accommodation and would happily stay here again. Nothing. Everything is perfect to me

• Mandy (9/5): Lovely place in a great area - Lovely accommodation and quiet area, comfy bed and pillows, very clean. Loved the outdoor shower option too. Shame the pool wasn’t heated - it looked so inviting.
• Angie (9/5): Great local go to. - I love staying here - it’s so close to Fremantle you can walk. Lots of restaurants and pubs close by. Only a handful of rooms so is really quiet. I think the bedside lamps need to be looked at. Couldn’t get them to work. But not a big deal.

We received a code to enter the room, which was great as there was no need to carry around keys or a card. The pool area looked lovely and would be great on a warm day, although we happened to be there during one of the coldest mornings of the year. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were amazing. While you could see that parts of the property were a little dated, everything was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was also excellent — an easy walk to everything in Fremantle. N/A

The accommodation was very quiet, with easy parking, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved the open shower concept — something different and enjoyable. The pool area looked clean and inviting, and overall the stay was quick, easy, and relaxing. The outdoor shower wasn’t usable as it didn’t work properly, and the floorboards around that area appeared broken/rotten, which could be a safety concern.

There was a very late and very noisy party both in the courtyard and in the pool, just outside our room. No staff about to stop it

• Kara (9/5): Sneaky surprise in the heart of Freo - What a lovely little surprise, just a short walk from the main hub of Fremantle. The rooms were spacious, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was even a sneaky outdoor shower as well as one inside! The crystal-clear pool was another unexpected bonus. There was convenient parking out the front and a cute little bottle shop just across the road. It’s a quiet location, and we would definitely stay there again. Communication from the owners was easy, prompt and clear. Nothing it was fabulous

Friendly housekeeping staff. We stayed here for the first time two years ago and fell in love with MaandUp. Sadly on return we found little had been updated since. It was a special stay over Christmas so it was really unfortunate to find a cockroach in the room on arrival rather than a Christmas decoration! Whilst the room was very surface clean along with the bedlinen and towels, it would be nice to have seen bedding updated from the stained and worn state it was in and bedside lights that no longer worked,fixed. The mattress was lovely and comfortable but the headboard did not allow for comfort sitting up in bed. The pool, which we took great pleasure in swimming in on our first visit needed a good clean along with the outside walls. I really hope there are some updates on the horizon and truly appreciate how costly the upkeep of a property is but to continue advertising it as a boutique hotel, we felt some updates would not go amiss. Sorry to be nit picky but just highlighting points from a returning guest who has standards when paying above the average price for what we once rated as exceptional.
