Guest Reviews
- Cattiana345 (4/5): Good food, terrible room - The hotel is not like the pictures!
Our room had a balcony, however it could not been opened and there was not natural light at all! It was like a bunker, ver claustrophobic.
Room Lighting very poor and struggling to know how the weather was or if there was dark or bright outside until you went to restaurant or out.
The smell in the room was funny too due to the lack of proper ventilation.
We also had a walking closet with a broken light (was very dark) and had to use the phone torch to have access to cloths.
Room was cold too (heating did not work).
Hotel staff not very profesional (they were smoking outside the main door all the time and the counter empty).
The best was the breakfast and the general cleanning in the room.
- mcropod (10/5): Brill place, fab staff, great location. - I stayed at the Manesol Boutique Hotel Galata, Istanbul on three separate occasions during September 2025 as my small group toured Tűrkiye, starting and finishing in Istanbul.
The hotel is in a lovely location near the Galata tower, and just over the Galata bridge, a walk or short tram ride away from the great historical sites of Istanbul.
The staff were kind and helpful without exception, the top-floor breakfast was top level, the rooms were modern and spacious. The funicular to Taksim and the metro station is within a hundred metres, and ATMs are handily close-by. The tram is within two hundred metres.
It is a short walk away from the Melbourne-like cafes of Karakoy, so it wins on location, facilities, and staff.
- Team (10/5): - From desk very welcoming and upgraded our room.
- simjenk (6/5): Mixed - but great breakfast - Tough hotel to rate ! The room we had was very small and featureless, and the hallways are always dark (like they are saving power), which is odd. But the breakfast buffet was great and varies, and I appreciated the free water cooler in the lobby. Easy access to galeta bridge and tower. And I like the noon checkout. So i will give it 3 stars!
- Mum2boys2014 (4/5): Below expectations - This hotel is in a great location but that is about all I can say that is positive. I stayed here twice (before and after an Intrepid tour). I would not choose to stay here again - the place needs renovation, the rooms are dark, the majority of the staff didn’t seem friendly or helpful (there were exceptions), we could smell cigarette smoke while in bed (not sure if it was coming from outside or the next room). The straw that broke the camel’s back was the lack of hot water in the shower.
Housekeeping did a good job but the facilities were substandard.
- Inspire05116137848 (4/5): Not Great - Mold in shower, spotty (if any) hot water, no shampoo even on request, rooms overly hot (not able to control with thermostat), mini-fridge broken, no ice on request, no washcloths, no coffee at breakfast, never able to get second card key to work despite repeated tries. Neighborhood felt safe and restaurant recommendations from front desk were wonderful - so not all bad. Good central location.
- 452MichaelL (8/5): Comfortable and convenient - We were a bit apprehensive about this hotel after reading some of the reviews but in fact it turned out to be quite satisfactory for a short stay. It is situated conveniently close to the Galata Bridge and the staff were friendly and helpful. It may have been refurbished to some extent. Our room was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. A wider duvet would have been good. Excellent shower. There was a very good breakfast.
- Cheryl (4/5): Anywhere but.. - This was described as a luxury boutique hotel. The carpets were srained and filthy. There was mould all through the shower. They charged 5 euro a day to store luggage even though we were coming back for extra nights as part of the tour. Breakfast was minimal and staff very slow to reset tables with cutlery. A number of power points in the room were not working.
It is a good location but I would not stay there again.
- MabdRosa (2/5): Filthy hotel. One star at most. - I stayed here as part of a tour group. The first room they gave me had an opaque window up against a white wall.
No natural light or fresh air in the room. Felt like a prison cell…!
I complained to our tour leader and I was moved to another room.
The second room was filthy, the carpets were so dirty, the shower was dirty and the grouting needs to be replaced. The rooms are dark, brown and quite depressing.
The noise from the neighbouring rooms is unbelievable- you can hear conversations amongst the people in the next room, the same as if they were in your room.
Even the lampshades are broken.
There are Tea/coffee making facilities in the room
There is a safe in the room - however having read reviews on trip advisor- it’s best not to use the safe because of theft, so I ended up taking my valuables out with me.
The shower area is big, with really cheap shower gel / shampoo in the shower, no conditioner.
Breakfast- went up to the restaurant a few mins before the breakfast was due to open.
The staff wouldn’t let me enter the restaurant so I had to stand in the small dark corridor where the lifts are situated- no lights in this corridor.
There was a good selection of cold and hot food for breakfast. The waiting staff were quite surly and there was paper cups for the tea/coffee - clearly they don’t have enough regular cups for everyone. What hotel has paper cups in the restaurant instead of regular cups.
I wanted to leave some luggage here and collect it on our final night here at the end of the your. But decided against it because they charge 5 euros per day to store it.
I have travelled extensively and I have never come across anything like this before.
Avoid this hotel if you possibly can.
- Danepup (6/5): Good location.Tired hotel. - The hotel is well-situated, but very tired. As others have said: sewer smell, needs renovated, hard-as-rock mattresses, and thin walls. I could hear everything my neighbors were doing.
I was on a tour so couldn’t pick my hotel, but for what I paid, I’d expect a better accommodation.
- Marwa (8/5): Perfect - Everything was amazing.
- Matthew (8/5): - We had a very pleasant stay here. Staff were friendly, informative and helpful throughout. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds comfy. Our toilet flush broke but was swiftly fixed, so a good responsive service! Very convenient for all central areas and tourist attractions. I’d wholly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
- MariAlbiston (6/5): yeah nah - not again. It was 'comfortable' to a point, but the beds were rock hard, lots of mould in the bathroom, carpets were filthy and stained. But breakfast was adequate. Nice sitting area downstairs. Air con was good. We stayed because it was the first and last night of an Intrepid tour. Probably wouldn't go again if I had a choice. Staff were lovely though, and brought up 2 extra pillows when requested. Turkish people were all very friendly and hospitable/welcoming.
- ingrid Jane (6/5): - Walking distance of Blue Mosque area
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms are very small & bathroom needs upgrading.
- laurencV5245PW (10/5): Good place to stay... - it was good hotel to stay. clean....fresh.... good location..... just voices from street is tooo loud because its close to main street. But its not bad. So for the price and luxery together.... breakfast and view also good. recommended....!
- ozzie-dougo (6/5): Good location but - - We stayed here at the start and end of an Intrepid tour as this was their chosen hotel. This hotel is in serious need of an update. The carpet in the room looks like it has come out of a mechanic workshop. We were lucky and very thankful that we were able to be moved for some of our stay to a room without carpet which was a vast improvement although it also needed maintenance. Shower door extremely difficult to open/close. Air Con didn't work. Staff were friendly.
Overheard other customers also complaining to reception staff about standard of rooms. Whilst it is in a handy location, we would not stay again.
- Philly_worldtraveler (4/5): Old, awkward, in need of renovation. 2 star hotel - Located on a narrow street, dimly lit, hard to get to by taxi. You have to get out and drag your bags 100 m on cobblestone downhill. The lobby is small and plain, the elevators are awkward to get to. I arrived at night and the hallways were so dim I couldn’t see where my room was or where to put the key.
The room is small, the floor is dirty carpet, the bed is minimalistic and hard. The shower was molding and cracked. It took 25 minutes for me to get hot water(not an exaggeration) including 2 calls to reception. There is a mosque close to the hotel that plays calls to prayer at 11pm and then again at 4 am so if your room is street-side be prepared.
- GuideRWD (10/5): Comfortable hotel in great location - I stayed for 4 nights. Great location in the vibrant Galata area with lots to enjoy within easy walking distance - sights, restaurants and shopping. 5 minutes from Galata Bridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but comfortable and well equipped. Good value for its price range and I think absolutely fine for a city break. Excellent breakfasts with wide choice of regional foods.
- Lucy (10/5): - The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was yum. The room was spacious and clean.
- allotment_girl12 (4/5): Dirty, uninspiring hotel - I had read reviews about the hotel (booked by the tour company I was joining for trip around Turkey), and was apprehensive. Pleasantly surprised when got into the room as on the surface looked okay but then on close inspection, found it be an illusion.
Very dirty surface on the table next to the bed (see pic), dangerous bathroom door handle, safe was not fixed so someone could come into the room and take it away (see scratches as other people like myself had to push it into the back of the wardrobe), fridge did not work (told staff but nothing done to fix/replace), shower was grubby. It's not a boutique/4 star hotel.
I had to get up at 5am to get to airport and unfortunately there was somewhere near by that was playing music till about 11.30pm (I was on the ground floor).
- Novamom2001 (6/5): Very average hotel - The hotel is pretty basic. The rooms are small, the one we had did not have any chairs to sit on, and there was barely any room for luggage.
We barely had warm water during a 4 night stay.
The breakfast is ok, the food is the same every day.
The location is good, close to Karakoy station of tram T-1 and within walking distance of Galata Tower, restaurants. There is a small convenience store close by for water, snacks, if you need any.
The staff was helpful, let us store the bags after check out and ordered us a cab for the airport.
However, I would not go back, I would pick a different hotel.
- 922kayp (8/5): Very comfortable 3 star hotel in a great location - I stayed here for 4 nights in total. The hotel is a 3 star hotel that has a great location and is in walking distance to most of the sightseeing areas. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and clean. The reception staff were very helpful with local restaurant recommendations and were also happy to organise laundry. Would stay here again. Good value for money.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Staffwas lovely,
Helpful and kind
- 474JohnS (8/5): Excellent location, wonderful breakfasts - The breakfast is fantastic. A wide selection of foods from hot to cold dishes and pastries at the rooftop level. The rooms were ok though a refresh of the bathroom and carpets will make the rooms much better. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, probably the most important part. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
- Laura (8/5): - Fabulous location and front desk staff were super helpful with info on local places to eat and get around. Tricky to access for transfers due to the street being non-driving
- ABDO (8/5): - Overall very good
- Wayne (8/5): - Location
- Ahmed (10/5): - Very nice staff
- Priscilla (4/5): - I stayed two nights at this property. The first one I paid for and the second one was part of a tour I signed up for. The room's AC shut off every few hours, so I woke up every few hours drench in sweat. My 2nd night/morning there was no Wifi or hot water. Breakfast was included in the rate and I felt like I was stealing the breakfast every time I got up to get something. (BTW they had no juice. Their orange juice was similar to Tang.) The 2nd morning our tour director asked them to serve breakfast at 6:30 bc we had to leave at 7 and there were only olives until almost 7am. I left hungry. The front desk staff was always outside smoking so when I needed something (checking in, had a question, etc.) they made it clear they were displeased with me interrupting their smoking break. When I asked how and where I could purchase a tram card, they insisted on calling me a taxi, and would not help me with my request. When a man in my tour asked the same question, they were more than happy to assist him. Overall, I was ok paying as much as I did for this hotel bc the reviews were decent, but after being treated the way I was, no hot water, no wifi, ac that kept shutting off, and being made to feel guilty for eating the breakfast I paid for and not having a breakfast I paid for, I am very comfortable in giving this hotel a bad review. And for the record, I waited a month to write this so I could be more objective and not as angry.
- George (8/5): - This hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet. I stayed in several hotels in Turkey, and this buffet was definitely the best.
The location is on the side of a pretty steep hill. Taxis find it difficult to get there and tend to drop you off a couple blocks away and point in the direction of the hotel. But if you can manage to take the trams, which are pretty good, you can take the tram across the Gallata Bridge and walk up the hill a couple of blocks and get to the hotel pretty easily.
If you want to stay in the area near Istiklal Street, this hotel is probably a good option. You just need to walk up the hill a few blocks, as the Gallata Tower is right up the hill.
Because the hotel is on a side street, it's pretty quiet. The AC works well, and the beds are good.
- Justin (8/5): - All was good except for the temperature. The room was too hot and there was no way to cool it down, as I had a room without a window. The reception was no help and said the central system was locked to heating. Other than that discomfort everything was fine.
- Battey (10/5): - The hotel is in a good location and the staffs are friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr Fatih, Mr Mert and Yildrim Simsek.
The toilet is very unfamiliar.
Special Thanks to Mr Adnon & Team.
Thank you,
Ahmed & Family

FLOP.
- Abdullatif (10/5): Worth it - Clean hotel nice people there, good location , value of money
- CHIMA (8/5): Lovely - It’s was very nice and quite I really loved it.
- Giorgia (10/5): Excellent! - Great place, great stay. The staff was super nice and very helpful with all of our needs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great place and location. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be sound carries between room to room.
- Adam (8/5): good place to stay - Very good location closed to Galata Tower and
Golden Horn feries. Tramway to Topkapı is 5 minutes
walking distance. Very good buffet breakfast and
lovely terrace overlooking city. Friendly stuff, taxi
to Istanbul International Airport is 170 liras. Rooms
a little small and sometimes without a windows if
you reserve standard room.
- LUIS (8/5): Good - The overall stay was good. The hotel is well located near tram, buses and easy access to landmarks.
The only problem we had, was the wifi connection. It was slow and also every night from around 11pm to 5am there was no internet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I did like the location. It was the best part. We were in a room that did not have a window and their AC did not work. I woke up several times from being too hot. The staff was very friendly but I asked to get a map and they said I could take a picture of the only map they had. I expected more from a 4 star
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent location - Great location, close to most sites like the blue mosque and ayasofia. Easy access to boats, trams and buses from this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bed too uncomfortable - Very loud door clapping - Very thin walls - No control for other rooms being loud
- Reda (6/5): - The hotel overall was good. Excellent location. The breakfast could be improved could have more choice each day is very repetitive. The rooms are quite compact and very thin walls.
- Mohamad (4/5): The service - The workers are not smiling, sub-level service, the beds is uncomfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location and good price but need to be more clean maybe some renovation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - Very good hotel and staff. So close to historical area and taksim.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Best - Very good location and clean and comfy. Very friendly staff and they give free upgrade.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ideal location with clean and comfort in mind - The hotel's location is in an ideal part of Istanbul close to the metro station and in close proximity to lively nighttime hang out spots like Galata Tower and Taksim Square. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating to our requests. The hotel is nicely maintained and clean.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Room has no window - The rooms have no windows at all, it is completely dark when you turn the lights off, the rooms are too small, the service wasn't too nice, i asked for water where i was so tursty and they said ok then nobody came.
Over all i do not recommend it for even single night.
- Omar (2/5): Worst hotel I've ever stayed in - The air conditioner in the room only had hot air so we couldn't sleep and was sweating all night.
The room which was an "economic room" didn't have a window (wasn't mentioned before) so we couldn't get air from outside since the a/c didn't cool the room.
The shower kept switching from hot to cold water every 5 seconds.
- Zee Couple (8/5): 3 nights stay - Nice hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. We choose a standard room with window. There is no view though except to a building under constructions. Breakfast was ok - nothing wow. Hotel staff were friendly. Hotel is on a hill with little side road on a hill is only access. In and out with luggage is an issue but hotel staff were very helpful.
- Huseyin (10/5): Brilliant choice - everything was great what else could u want really nice clean freindly staff no problems A*
- alia (10/5): My recent experience - The exceptional service and support from the staff makes you feel warm and welcome. A big thank you to the sales manager Bora who helped us throughout our stay amongst other staff when Expedia let us down for their poor service.
I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is modern and local to all the top tourist sites, as well as being close to the local trams and transport services.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good choice - Location is very nice, clean, delicious foods and good-humoures staff,
- Gaston (6/5): Nice hotel Good location - Nice stay. Good location. Breakfast needs for "International" options.
Wi-fi was not working ok in our room. Ok in common areas.
The was no room service! Even they had a menu in the room.
- Jomaa (10/5): - Very good hotel
- Emre (8/5): Needs Some Improvement - Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. There was just a couple of simple but important things that needed to be improved, for instance the coffee cups had stains from the previous guests, the housekeeper probably didnt spent much time on in but the rest of the room was pretty clean. The size of the room and bathroom were pretty good compared to other hotels in that area. The only thing I disliked was the clingy casual clothed houseman or whatever his title is. After i asked for an extra shampoo he just insisted going in to my room without event asking if the room was convenient and I was staying with my gf...
The receptionist was professional and the bellboy was really helpfull and chatty with a nice smile.
- firas (8/5): - Over all good, but customers need to be aware that some rooms do not have windows. They need to make sure of that before booking.
- Diogo (10/5): Great surprise! - Brand new hotel, so new that some items of the room service menu was not even available (July 2017), but they are accommodating, friendly and helpful.
- Tin Chai Martin (6/5): Cleanliness was an issue - Great area, staff were friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness/housekeeping was a major issue: for days we found bath towels with either large brown stains on them, or footprints. We dared not use those towels. I mean, how do they wash their towels and think those were clean enough for guests?
The other thing about housekeeping is that they don't replenish toiletries. We ran out on the toilet paper and soap on like the 4th night and they were never replenished even after multiple house keepings.
The hot water took 5 minutes to warm up
- Verified traveler (6/5): nice hotel close to the main attractions - The hotels location was good just a short walk or tram ride away from the main attractions
- Verified traveler (6/5): Lovely location but not if you're claustrophobic - Wonderful hotel, not so wonderful staffs (some of them), had to stand in front of the counter for a while before they even bother to let me check-in. The main problem was the air conditioning. The windows in the room are fake windows (just a wall behind it). So air-con is the only way to control the room temperature, it's very claustrophobic and i had to call the reception to re-set my air con manually the first night, after re-set it was ok for an hour and then the rest of the nights i just had to live with room going super hot then super cold then super hot and super cold again.
On the bring side, very nice location for tourist stuff, not a noise are and very close to some of the best attractions in Istanbul.
- Renate (10/5): Magnificent - At the most one loves a clean room and at Mansol, it's what you get. You are treated with smiles and given all information you want and direction. However, sometimes some of the staff do not have good English or languages.
To make us feel like kings the rooms were brilliant. For someone who stayed in every kind of hotel, the rooms are perfect from sleeping to relaxing. Everything you need is available, water, drinks and of course satellite TV.
The location was magnificent, near shopping and food restaurant.
I think this is a hotel to come back to, everytime.
- S (8/5): Modern hotel near Galata Tower - Stayed for one night on March 22nd. Nice hotel with pleasant staff. The rooms are updated nicely and the waterfall showerhead was great. The mattress was EXTREMELY firm...I like hard beds, but this was a little too much.
I wss woken up in the middle of the night by a gurgling nose from the toilet--like it was running out of water in the bowl and suction was coming through the pipe. This happened repeatedly after 5am, when maybe not coincidentally the guests next door were getting ready to leave (not sure how thin the walls are, but I could hear them speaking muffled Japanese). Overall, however, it was pretty quiet.
Did not have the breakfast, in favor of checking out the kaymak (soft cheese) and honey at Karakoy Oszut nearby.
Great location--trams to Sultanahmet and and ferries for a cheap Bosporus tour are close by, and it's a short walk to Galata Tower or the Tunel funicular to get to the heart of Beyoglu. You can buy an Istanbulkart transit pass at the newsstand on the corner by the Tunel entrance and get it refilled with any amount at the juice stand in the underground passage to the tramvay. Super convenient!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast buffet is great and the location is excellent. I would stay here again. Only complaint is that the bathroom light is very dim, making it hard to get ready. The glassed-in shower is wonderful, however.
- Ilze (6/5): Mixed feelings - Great location but my hotel experience was not the best - problems with my reservation, had to change rooms twice due to faulty equipment or clear lack of cleaning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to stay near the Galata Bridge - We stayed in Manesol during our week-long trip in December 2015. A very pleasant experience overall-- friendly staff, well maintained property and a terrific location (minutes away from Galata bridge). Though our room in particular was kind of small and had no windows, it was great for the price and comfortable enough to rest in after tiring days spent trekking city neighborhoods. The complimentary breakfast on the rooftop restaurant was top-notch with amazing views of the city skyline to kick-start our days. The fare was delicious offering a variety of fruit, cheeses, breads and Turkish snacks for our heart's fill. In terms of location, this hotel was a blessing -- right next to the Karakoy Tunel station, minutes away from the Galata bridge and Karakoy tram station, and a short walk to Galata Tower). I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples and young travelers looking for a decent place to stay in the heart of the Karakoy/Beyoglu area with easy access to the city's tram lines.
- mosa (6/5): Just accepted - It was average room , the hotel is small and hard to reach it , uphill location , noisy
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very Disappointing Experience - Avoid This Hotel - The email address provided on the website was wrong so we had to call to arrange our airport pickup. The staff spoke poor English which would be understandable for a small hotel, but not a "luxury international hotel". They refused to take our details for the transfer over the phone and insisted that we email. They provided another address which was also incorrect, so we had to try random address combinations until an email went through. We confirmed the advertised roundtrip transfer rate on the phone and in our email, but they charged us double, insisting that a "roundtrip" means one way only.
The hotel facilities were OK, though our toilet was broken and there was a bad smell in the room. We dropped off laundry which we were told would be ready by 12pm the following day. Two days later we hadn't received it. When we asked, reception said they weren't doing laundry that day. When we pointed out they had it the entire previous day and most of the day before that, they eventually said they would get it done by that night. 15 mins later they returned our clothes unwashed saying they wouldn't do it.
Overall the staff were unhelpful and disinterested. Whenever we visited reception, they would see us, then ignore us and return to their computers/mobile phones before eventually providing cursory assistance.
Despite being a luxury hotel, the breakfast did not include coffee, juice, omelettes, etc, each of which they charged extra for.
I would recommend avoiding.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel managed by bad staff - Hotel is great but the staff (Salih) was very rude ; customer service was missing ; They misplaced our baggage from the luggage room and sent it with another guest to the airport and we were forced to waste 5 hrs going to the airport to retrieve it ; they sent us to another hotel for 1 night out of the 3 nights we had booked as they had some system error ; the other hotel room was very bad and poorly lit ; they didnt even apologise for inconvenience ; location and breakfast is good
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Great property for the price. Very convenient location to the transportation system. Hotel is in great physical shape.
- Mohamed (8/5): Good choice for a good hotel - Enjoyed staying in this hotel with my wife at reasonable price. The location is great; very easy access to most of transportation means. In very short distance walking we were approaching Tram, the Subway Station Tünel(to/from Istiklal Cadessi), Ferry to Asia side (Kadikoy,Üsküdar,...etc. Eminonu also is 10 min walking across Galata Bridge.
Hotel's staff are very nice and helpful. Good breakfast with various items.Hotel amenities are also very satisfied.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great Location but wall are made of paper - First impression of hotel was good, When entering room notices with our luggage we barely had room to walk and the stocked fridge was empty from the beginning. Hotel staff was nice but don't ask them for food recommendation as we where escorted by someone waiting in the lobby to go to a tourist trap restaurant! Walls are made of paper as we where woken up by both rooms next to us from them sneezing to coughing to talking and watching TV and not even the construction in the building next to us! could be a 4+ but too many little things that just didn't make that pleasant!
- Pat (8/5): close to sights and port - this was a good place to stay a short time--- no window in room but very acceptable for one night
- Anas Hilmi (10/5): - Very good hotel
- Mohammad (8/5): A nice Hotel near Tram, Metro and ferry station - We had a four memorable night in Manesol Hotel Galata. We made reservation for standard room but they gave us a deluxe room. It was a really nice and clean room with a window and terrace. It's the best choice for those who want to access to both Historical and Modern Part of Istanbul. Good breakfast and nice staff in restaurant specially "Shirin" who was very kind and helping. Do not forget fish sandwich beside Galata Bridge at night, It's very delicious.
- Raminder (8/5): Value for MOney boutique hotel - rooms were good and comfortable.
Only problem was the language barrier.
- daian (8/5): Turky worth seeing - A very nice hotel, well positioned, close to public transport.Breakfast should be more diversified needed.
- Jonathon (8/5): Solid, standard hotel in great location - Nice, comfortable, if impersonal, hotel. Room was comfortable, although on 1st floor even though a room with a view was requested. Staff weren't very engaging. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, but the best thing about it is location. Easy tram trip to all the big tourist spots and the tunnel up the hill to taksim area for the evening.
- Sarah (10/5): Great place - A lovely little motel in an interesting part of town. It's right near the metro so really easy to get to the sights. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were fantastic!
- ismail (8/5): Very nice hotel but with noise issue - Everything is extreemly good for this hotel except noise issue. You can hear clearly what your neighbour do and they also can hear yours. There are also major renovation going on at the opposite building all the day.
- Leonid (6/5): Great location, rest is so-so - We Ok with staying in the small room however no windows added inconvenience. The conditioner was blowing right into the bed. And some strange sounds... Other than that everything fine. Personal was very friendly and helpful. Shower, etc. - great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel in perfect location - A great hotel for our first visit to Istanbul. We stayed 7 nights here. Clean, good size room, quiet location near the Galata bridge and tower.Excellent breakfast, helpful staff.Good value. We would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in Galata area - This was a nice hotel for our stay in Istanbul. The location is good, as you are not in the middle of touristic area but within easy walking distance to them. Our only complaint was the air conditioning in the room wasn't comfortable (either didnt work or blew very cold air over you are you tried to sleep), and we had no window for fresh air, however the hotel staff were understanding and easily moved us to a new room with a window. Hotel was lovely and clean.
- Ali (8/5): Nice Hotel in a nice location - My girlfriend and I had a great stay in this Hotel. Very good staff that were helpful and would quickly supply what we needed for instance to fix the shower head, Aircon and so on. Very clean and brand new hotel with standard facilities. It is an ideal hotel if you want to explore Istanbul and only rest at night to be recharged for the next day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is in a very good location - close to the metro that takes you in to sultanahmet area in just minutes. It's also a nice walk if you prefer that. The staff could improve their English skills but they were friendly and tried very hard to meet the needs of their guests. Breakfast was very good.
- Abolfazl (8/5): We enjoyed a lot - Best value hotel in our several trip to Istanbul
- Aydin (10/5): Great Boutique Hotel in Karakoy - Great boutique hotel in a cute little street in the hip Karakoy neighbourhood. Loved how it was walking distance to the city's major landmarks including the Galata Tower and Bridge, Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet, Istanbul Modern Museum. Nicely decorated interior all around the hotel. Spacious room and cool rain fall shower were some of the highlights.
- Ariel (10/5): Great hotel, great staff - My friend and I were wrapping up an epic European tour, and we needed a nice place rest our weary heads for a couple of days before heading back stateside.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Standard room does NOT have window/second egress - This hotel is close to the metro and tram and convenient to many local restaurants. They offer a breakfast buffet. Hotel staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean, although there is nothing to do at the hotel. It is a convenient place to stay. My only complaint was that a Standard room has no window. As a safety conscious American, having no 2nd way out of the room in case of a fire was rather disturbing. I had difficulty getting my room changed. I was told that none of the Standard rooms have windows.
- Kamilia Sadika (2/5): False advertisement - The hotel advertises aircon, my room had no windows, the room temperature was 24c as it was in the summer, this is with the aircon on, the aircon only switched on but didn't extract any cold air, so we had to pay an extra €140 to upgrade to a room with a window and surprise the aircon worked as well. The hotel refused to do anything to rectify there miss advertisement. Also the walks are very thin and made from cardboard which mens you can hear the tv and conversations from the rooms next to yours. Hotel was also full of children causing chaos till 1am. The breakfast was bad with no variety and the hit food on offer was awful.
- Siniša (10/5): Wonderful hotel with perfect location - I am extremely satisfied with my recent stay in Manesol Boutique Galata. Even I bought a standard room, they gave me de lux room. Room was very clean, an average size. The stuff were very pleasant. The bathroom was quite big and clean. I came early in the morning and I left my luggage in the hotel before the check in time. I was exploring the city for the whole day before I came back. Food was very good, restaurant is on the fifth floor. Hotel has the perfect location. It's very close to Galata bridge where you can eat and go by foot to the Spice Market, Sultanahmet with St. Sofia and the Blue Mosque. If you don't like to walk too much, you can take a tram, a tram station is very close to the hotel. A tunnel with an old tram is just under the hotel. If you don't like steep streets, with that tram you can come to Istiklal Avenue for 2-3 minutes, the main pedestrian street in the city. Galta tower is also very close. If you come to Istanbul to Sabiha Gokcen airport, the cheapest way is to take the Havatas bus from the airport to Kadikoy on Asian side for 9 TRY, and take a boat to Karakoy for 4 TRY. That's all together little bit more than 4€. Bus goes every half an hour, boat every 20 or 30 minutes. I don't understand people who wrote about a bad experience with this hotel. For me, it was perfect! This is best you can get for not so much money. I highly recommend this hotel to everybody!
- Eva (10/5): Great accommodation - Room was nice and tidy but when I walked in I could smell cigarets and this smell was very unpleasant.
Staff was helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Location perfect as well. I really suggest this hotel to everyone.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mediocre stay in good location - We stayed three nights. The hotel is perfectly located and newly built. However, the main dissappoinment was that we were provided a room without a window to open air.the window there opened upto a small closed indoor space. Hence natural daylight and air was missing in the room.
Staff showed no interest in providing additional effort in service.
Breakfast bufe was very standard.
Our room was not ready for check in at 2 pm which they note as check in time at their website. Instead we could only check in at 4 pm because of delay in cleaning.
- Tetiana (8/5): Clean hotel with excelent location - The hotel is clean, cozy and comfortable, with perfect location and very good breakfast. The staff is polite and helpful. The minus are window absence in our room (it was air shaft outside the "window") and building reconstruction opposite the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A well-located gem - Excellent service, staff was friendly, the shower was spacious, and the room, very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Galata Charm - Wonderful centrally located hotel with easy walk over Galata bridge and into the Sultanmet district, 10 minute walk to beautiful Galata Tower and 20 min. to the busy, famous Istiklal street with lots of restaurants and shopping to the north where old meets new Istanbul. The hotel was clean and modern with great and plentiful breakfast and wonderful, helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
- uncomfortable (2/5): Was not that comfortable stay there i - The worse hotel i have stayed at sorry but i wouldnt recommend it to any
