Guest Reviews
- Faizah (10/5): - n
- oksana (6/5): - The lady was super nice and sweet at the check in
Gave us a lot of useful information
- Elicia (8/5): Good room for the value - Great stay for a short weekend get away. Loved the area out by the river and there was a diner nearby with an excellent breakfast. The lady at check in was very informative and kind. There were quite a few cobwebs and active spiderwebs along the outside of the rooms and 1 cobweb that we found inside on one of the hanging lights, and somethings were outdated or kind of grungy looking from old age. All in all, it was quiet and a good value room. We would definitely stay here again.
- Mark (6/5): Budget Motel close to the sights - Checkin and staff were great, very helpful to somene who has never been to Niagra Falls. Room was clean but very dated, needs updating, especially the bathroom. The lawn and river view are great, firepit and very distant view of falls fireworks at night.
- steven (8/5): - The staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean. The property is super old and a little run down. There was no coffee pot, a lot of spiders in my sisters room and my room smelled like bug spray. It was convenient to the falls and parking was nice.
- Emma (8/5): - Owner was very helpful and directed us how best to see the Falls. Property backs up to the river which is nice. However, the rooms were very run down. The good part was that the sheets, pillowcases, and towels were very clean and the beds were comfortable so we had a good sleep. But everything else is aged, low quality furniture/furnishings/appliances/etc. It was fine for a night and saved us some money. Also the parking is in front of the room, which is good.
- BIKER (10/5): - The property was right next to the water.
- Kevin (10/5): - Very informative owner, told where the best cheap breakfast was. What to see and do and where the free parking was. Very nice
- Lynne (2/5): - The room was in bad condition. There was water on the floor behind the toilet and the bathroom smelled like sewer gas. The air conditioning wasn't working well. The refrigerator was filthy - and had what looked like black mold. There were also black spots on the wall that looked like mold.
- Mukesh Kumar (6/5): - I like the location of this property. They provide a beautiful seating area in the backyard with riverfront views.
- kevin (10/5): - wonderful family owned property. staff was great and friendly and its right on the niagra river and fairly close to the falls. great price. I love the non chain places when I can do it.
- Smriti (4/5): - Only saving grace of the property is their host. The property is extremely run down and need major upgrade in room condition, bathroom and outside as well. Did not expect a lot but my recommendation is to spend $50-100 more and stay somewhere else.
- Jane (10/5): - This is a quaint out of the way motel. I plan on staying afain.
- Timothy (10/5): - Perfect
- Kimberly (10/5): - We stayed at this hotel for the proximity to Niagra Falls. The rooms are a little dated, but that is also part of the charm. We didn't like the small of the soap in the shower, but we had our own, so not really a problem. The bathroom door didn't close tightly, but I was traveling with my daughter, so it wasn't the end of the world. The owner, Kathy, is a treat! I told her our travel plans and she had great recommendations for the rest of our journey. She gave great directions and information regarding the area and Niagra Falls. The view in the back, on the river, is beautiful. The property IS on the water, so the spiders might come out at night, but they prefer the outdoors. Inside, the room was very clean and bug/spider-free.
- becky (4/5): - The property needs an update. Full of spider webs everywhere.
- Mohammad Hassan (2/5): - There were lots of ants, spiders and spider webs everywhere in the room.
- Albert (8/5): Nice spot - The door handles were loose and musty smell in the room. Motel was a great location and have stayed several times. Room 110 not ideal
- kelli (10/5): Great Place - This is an absolutely adorable place to stay. Old retro style, private, comfortable, and safe. Nice pool and access to the yard, grills, and fire pit. Had a nice cookout while there. River running thru out back. So relaxing.
- Kelly (10/5): - Cute older motel. The owner is extremely helpful to those visiting the falls. Clean, easy to get to.
- Heather (4/5): Freshen rooms the day someone checks in - I found my room to another hotel canceled so I had to scramble as I was already in NewYork. So found this hotel. The lady was absolutely amazing. Got to the room. I don’t ask for much but not having bugs of all kinds dead and actually moving is a must. There was 2 live bees in the window with a lot of spiders. The one large spider next to the door was killed not moved. But the pictures will show bugs dead every where. The shower was horrible. Please go to the dollar store and buy a new shower curtain don’t ask people to shower in the nasty mess of others. The soap dispenser were empty. Let the picture tell you everything. Oh and my door in no way was secure or safe.
- Edward (6/5): Anchor Motel stay - Gave Anchor motel a try. It was an okay experience. Nothing overwhelmingly good or bad. Taking a $75 damage deposit from a 67yo man seemed ridiculous.
- Kevin (10/5): - Nice place, friendly people, well kept, very quiet and relaxing
- Kim (6/5): - The owner was super nice. Showing us all about Niagara Falls and where to go.
- Frank (10/5): - Nice cozy and great price!
- Darrell (10/5): - Kathy and staff are excellent
- Wendy (4/5): - Stains on the sheets, hard bed, everything was peeling or chipping, musty smell and damp carpet.
- Crystal (4/5): - We stayed here two nights. The ONLY good thing about the place is the workers are nice. The water pressure was next to zero in the shower, it took 30 minutes for the water to get warm for a shower, the shower drain was not draining(they did come fix it), mosquitoes were horrible and the size of Texas. Couldn’t even sit out for long to enjoy the evening or view of the river or on the patios. There was oatmeal or something on wall behind the bathroom trash can. Rooms are very outdated.
- Aditya (2/5): - Bulbs did not work bathroom didn't get hot water
- Sergio (8/5): - Nice for the price , staff very nice.
- Frederick (8/5): - Great area, average facility
- Christopher (8/5): - Good place to stay for the price
- Isis (10/5): - Such a lovely place and it was clean and the staff was wonderful
- DANA (10/5): - Charming, roadside motel property. Owners are lovely. Only issue was there was too much furniture in the room and the large table had a loose table leg. We were afaid to use for fear it would collapse. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable.
- sharon (8/5): - This is a 60's motel, it has a musty smell but very clean, the bathroom had pink tile small tub and no place to put your toiletries, no hairdryer. The beds were comfortable, tv had plenty of channels and some great 60s lamps. The lady who runs it was very nice and informative. Pool was not up and running. If you are looking for a typital room find a hotel this isnt it.
- Matt (10/5): - Nice affordable hotel. Clean,
Nice view of the river.
- Monte (10/5): - Clean, good location, helpful staff, and good price.
- Melissa (8/5): - Owner was very friendly and helpful. Area was beautiful. Right on the river.
- Debra (10/5): - Amazing hotel
- kristi (10/5): - Wonderful owners and very clean and safe
- Heather (6/5): - The owners were very nice & quickly addressed concerns. Have a beautiful area to sit by the river.
- Charmaine (4/5): - Owners were very welcoming. The water pressure was weak worst shower I’ve ever taken. Room very cold hard to regulate the temperature in the room. Linen was not comfortable and did not smell inviting. Blind in the bathroom broken no privacy. Outside seating by the River unkept cob webs dirty. Parking lot was being paved had to park on the motel lawn. For the money we paid it was a big disappointment! Place was out dated needs remodeled.
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean. Staff were very pleasant.
- James (10/5): - Very nice motel with helpful management. We liked the small friendly vibe rather than the big hotel type. As long as its clean, and it was, small and friendly is great.
- Gail (10/5): - Not a fancy place. It is older but very clean and well maintained. Owner was super nice. I just wish they were open all year
- Kevin (8/5): - Super cute little spot. Older building and ran into an issue that left us without water to shower for awhile. No updates besides when we got back we did have water. Very clean and super friendly environment. Host was extremely helpful with the area and what and how we should do things!!! Will be going back!
- William (10/5): - The staff was wonderful very helpful
- Christine (10/5): - Thank you Kathy for everything! It's a beautiful stay on the water with views of Niagra Falls in the distance. There is a fire pit and benches to sit and look out over the river. Kathy is very knowledgeable about the area. Nelson's is open for breakfast and lunch with great food and Mr. Vensky's is an awesome Italian restaurant and the pizza and meatballs are fantastic!! I highly recommend staying at the Anchor Motel, it's clean, quiet and conveniently located for Niagra Falls whether you drive or take the bus tour.
- JOHN (10/5): - Staff was amazing
- Tiffany (6/5): - Weekend trip to Niagara falls. This is a 2 star hotel on the river. Upon arrival, there was construction on the property. We were not allowed to park in the parking lot. Everyone had to park in a grassy area (which hadn't been cut) and walk quite a bit with all luggage in hand to our room. Parking remained this way the entire stay. Room is extremely out dated. Nothing fancy. Had a bad, old, dingy smell when we walked in. I turned AC on and sprayed lysol and smell went away. RR needs work. Tub, sink ragged/rough. Whole room was clean enough. OUTDOOR amenities are cute and relaxing. Short walk thru grass to Niagara river. Many sitting areas a bonfire area, & gazebo. Swimming pool is in the front of property. The owner was very friendly and helpful while explaining the falls, where to go, what to do, & how to do. During check out , cleaning staff was also friendly. This is a decent, close location to stay on a Niagara falls weekend.
- Ann Marie (10/5): - I basically just used the room to sleep and shower after an event at Artpark. The front desk was super nice and helpful and recommended a place to eat.
- JOHN (10/5): - Staff was amazing
- Pady (10/5): - The owners were very accomidating and informative. Helpful good people with good knowledge of the area. I would stay there again.
- Aari (10/5): - It’s nice to deal with real people and have that human treatment rather than the corporate bull.
It was simple and in a beautiful location. Just what we needed. Only a few minutes from Niagra. I would way rather stay here than all the crazy at the falls
- Charles (10/5): - The staff / owner was extremely helpful we came in late it was very willing to work with us beautiful view of Niagara River older hometown but very clean
- Sergio (8/5): - Basic hotel . I went off the reviews on cleanness . Is clean and comfortable .
- Lynne (8/5): - Loved the access to the Niagara River
- maleswarprabu (8/5): - The room looks decent for its price. The property owner was very kind.
- Frederick (10/5): - Loved it! Wonderful staff and vintage but very clean and comfy! Enjoyed our stay!
- Manisha (10/5): - great
- Denise (6/5): - It was a good place to stay for a night. Nothing spectacular, bathrooms need updating. You get the basics and it's fine for a place to sleep. The property is on the Niagara River and they have chairs, grills, tables in the yard, so it is a nice, relaxing atmosphere.
- Carla (6/5): - This is an older motel with a lovely riverside view with a short walk. The king room had mismatched old furniture and a tiny tv and the basics, small microwave and fridge. Clean but old. The mattress was very hard. No coffee pot. The checkin lady was super friendly and gave me a very good description of the area and tourist tips.
- Chris (8/5): - A nice clean property with a beautiful view of the Niagara River. We enjoyed our stay and the owners were wonderful people.
- Scottie (10/5): - Kathy and her husband were great! This location was perfect for traveling to Buffalo and to the Niagara Falls area. Very Clean and quiet. Would recommend staying here.
- yury (2/5): - Очень очень плохо убран
- Ken (10/5): Great little place!! - Great location. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful
- Robert (10/5): - Lovely Niagara river waterfront with ability to cook meals, rest in chairs or lounge.
- Brittany (10/5): - Lovely property great view of water family friendly. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful provided us a lot of information about Niagara Falls and things that we could do around the area.
- Dapo (10/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice older place. Great condition along the river.
- Blanca (10/5): - Nice, little place near the falls
- Priscilla (8/5): Clean and cozy - Clean comfortable older room. Would definitely stay there again.
- ankur (10/5): - Stayed two nights.
Location is good.
Beautiful area, rooms are decent, clean and priced well.
Friendly and helpful people.
- Jade (10/5): - Wonderful place ran by wonderful people. Will definitely be back soon.
- Brian (10/5): - It was close to the falls and very easily accessible.
- Riki (10/5): - Enjoyable stay. I have no real qualms with the place.
- Karishma (10/5): - Excellent property. I really enjoyed the sunset . Rooms were old but very well maintained and cleaned. Very friendly and amazing owner. She showed us all around and things to do as we live and Canada and it was our first time to Niagara falls from US side .
Good service .
- Abigail (6/5): - People were super kind & friendly, our room was outdated. But it was convenient, and close to Niagara Falls.
- terri j (10/5): - We loved the feel of an old motor court motel and it was comfortable and clean but desperately needs updating. The price and the River view was very nice..
- Michelle (8/5): - Nice pool! Wish they had a coke machine or some way to get snacks.
- Elizabeth (4/5): - Very run down
Door locks were poorly installed
Exterior very old and needs to be updated
- Jennifer (10/5): - The owners are likely some of the kindest people on Earth. Very knowledgeable of the area and accommodating of a last minute, late check in.
- Alice (8/5): Quiet and comfortable - Owner, Kathy, was extremely pleasant and helpful. The building is older, but comfortable. Very nice stay. Would definitely stay again.
- Shakir (8/5): - There hospitality was awesome
- Sharyer (10/5): - Very good service friendly Best place for stay
- Kristine (8/5): - Centrally located between the Falls and Buffalo... Easy to get around. Locations outside the Falls Center are iffy. Lots of history in the area. Wine tours and antiques.... Motel has a pool, rooms are old, but usable. You can get pizza/subs delivered from nearby. Support local.
- Linda (8/5): - A very comfortable room, bed, plenty of hot water. Owners very friendly and helpful. Brings back memories of traveling with our parents when we were kids. Would definitely stay here again.
- Frederick (10/5): - Owners were very personable and wanted us to be comfortable. Very helpful with directions
- Michelle (10/5): Great out of the way stay - Great stay! Very helpful at check in- telling us all the shots we needed to hit, as well as the areas to avoid. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Unfortunately we couldn't stay out 2nd night because of a storm that knocked out power and my medical needs, but we WILL be back!
- Naheed (10/5): Will stay Again! - Older property. Lovely spot, a hidden GEM!
Quiet, enjoyed the waterfront view. Used the brick pit to cook some steaks and veggies over wood fire, an awesome experience.
The Owners are great people!
- Christopher (10/5): Ill be back - My room felt like home as opposed to an actual hotel. It was very clean and relaxing, and the view of the river along with benches and a fire pit, and places to grill food gave it a nice camping vibe. I'll definitely be back.
- Debra (10/5): Excellent! Will stay again for sure! - Wonderful overnight stay. Customer service was excellent. This is a 1930's Motel and is open seasonal. It just reopened for the season a couple weeks ago. Our room (116) was very clean. The building is original and is brick and concrete, which made it very quiet and cozy. The owners are doing their best to keep it as original as possible. Although the room is smaller than your chain motels, it is arranged perfectly. I loved the furnishings and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was great cable tv. The bathroom was small, as were most bathrooms in 1930's, but it was clean and well appointed. We are not sure about wifi as we did not need it. We had great service with our Tmobile so wifi was not needed for our stay. Honestly we didn't even ask 😀. There was a nice little table and chairs outside our room. I absolutely loved the antique desk/pull out table in our room. This motel is on the Niagara River and only about a 12-15 drive to Niagara falls. Guests have access to the river, Bbq grills, etc. The owners have a beautiful home on the property and guests have full acres to their "backyard". It was literally like being a guest at a friend's house, with your own private guest room! We loved it. The location was great, We had breakfast just down the street at a local diner. Our room did have a fridge and microwave. We did not use the pool but it looked good and it looked like the owners are renovating the "pool house/recreation" building. Overall we highly recommend.
- Matthew (6/5): - The room is very outdated. The bathroom was not clean. There was no TP! The staff was friendly enough until they want you out, of course, without even asking us how the stay was or even a pleasant goodbye. You have to ask for EVERYTHING! They need to post the WiFi password and instructions. Walls are thin as paper. I dont mind music or talking, but banging and slamming is jarring. The price gouging was crazy! Not even close to being worth $170 a night! I would only come back if it was wayyy cheaper.
- Stephany (10/5): - Owners were amazing and room was clean and fresh. Will definitely stay again!
- Melissa (8/5): - Dated but very clean. Nice location on the water.
- Stephanie E (10/5): Wonderful place. - Have stayed here before. Is a charming 1930's style motel with the basics.; clean and comfortable. Wonderful lake front for fishing or relaxing. Huge fire pit. Covered picnic table and grill. The owner is very helpful with anything you need.
- Christopher (6/5): Make your own decision WE STAYED - The outside appearance had us wanting to leave immediately. HOWEVER we decided to go eat while they got the heating to work and a blanket. 4 restaurants before we found a clean one so the motel looked better then the district. On return they had the room warm a brand new blanket so we had a very conformable night. As promised free coffee in the " lobby" . It has plenty of surroundings that would make a great stay if cleaned and maintained. Still over priced but they did as promised
- Theresa (8/5): - The property is clean and people are friendly.
- JESUS (8/5): Muy bueno por el precio. - Sumamente amables y serviciales, laa instalaciones no son nuevas pero funciona muy bien, por el precio esta exelente.
- Niaz (8/5): Quite and out side view is nice - It’s nice motel and owners are very friendly and cooperative 8miles far from Niagara water falls.
