Especially it was very sweet of the Management to organise a beautiful wedding anniversary cake was really appreciated. It was an unforgettable 2 days stay here. On the F&B, Miss Huong from the restaurant on the 2nd level was ever attentive with immaculate services. She was friendly and professional in all her services .

• horseeyeBrissie (10/5): A calm oasis - This was our third stay at the Apricot Hotel. It is wonderfull having spent a day in the glorious madness of Hà Nội to return to the serenity of this hotel. Its position next to Hoan Kiem lake places it perfectly next to all the action or a quiet stroll about. We now make a point of being here for the weekend, when the roads around the lake are closed. The hotel itself is well appointed to the level expected. We appreciate the vast array of high quality artworks and the French colonial decor. The staff are well trained and by comparison quiet and reserved though always friendly. We always try to book an internal window room (access to natural light via the atrium). As there is still construction occurring next door, getting an external window is pointless. We only ever eat breakfast here. It is a lovely and varied spread of local, eastern and western options. These vary daily and provide us the opportunity try local dishes.
• Pumpkin20 (6/5): Disappointing - Ou room view was the side of the building, the air conditioning units? were so noisy it kept us awake, the pillows were so old & lumpy, the room smelt funny & certainly didn’t help my asthma, the shower temperature was only warm even on the hottest setting, we were near the lift so it as noisy as well. Breakfast was generous although strangely set out & no one explained the areas as they were all spread around. The foyer looks so elegant it’s just a huge pity it doesn’t flow into the rooms.

• OBXBarb (10/5): Perfect Location - We stayed here twice on our 3 week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. It was our favorite hotel in Vietnam. The hotel is beautiful, our rooms were very nice and comfortable and had a view of the lake, which was a hub of activity. Sunrise walks and exercise is a very popular activity, with music and large groups exercising all around the lake through early morning. Any direction you go from the hotel brings busy shopping and living all around. Great restaurants are within walking distance, the breakfast buffet at the hotel is amazing!

• Resort53939487070 (10/5): Fantastic Experience – Ignore the Negative Reviews! - I feel that some reviewers are overly critical and complain about the most ridiculous things (like a room being too big!). In reality, the Apricot Hotel is absolutely outstanding. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean at all times. With such a prime location right next to Hoan Kiem Lake, instead of complaining about the TV, you really should just step outside and explore. While the restaurant might be a bit pricey, the food is absolutely delicious. However, the biggest highlight of our stay was the attentive service. A special thank you to Hoc, who was incredibly helpful, enthusiastic, and professional. Don't listen to the naysayers; this hotel is completely worth it!

We again really enjoyed our week’s stay here which was made more special by the hotel staff who couldn’t do enough for us. A special thank you to Hoc, who took great care of us during our stay, organising our excursions and even our laundry. It’s little touches like these that make us think about returning to the Apricot hotel. The breakfast and evening meals served in the restaurant are first class, and the staff cannot do enough to look after us.

It was a little hyper, a bit too glitzy, didn’t have much to do with Hanoi - it could be anywhere. They also totally dropped the ball on room service. Our appetizer came and when it was delivered we reminded them about the rest of the order and were told they’d take care of it but again it never came. Our friends in the next room got cold, undercooked French fries.

The hotel has been designed and finished to a very high standard, with interiors that reflect elegance, attention to detail, and a strong sense of character. From the moment you enter, the experience feels polished and welcoming, supported by excellent service throughout. One of the standout features of the hotel is its evening ambience. Live lounge music creates a refined and relaxed atmosphere, adding a layer of sophistication that elevates the overall stay. A beautifully styled boutique hotel best suited to travellers who appreciate design, service, and atmosphere, particularly those comfortable with more compact rooms, while those seeking greater space and privacy may wish to explore alternative options. The rooms are tastefully decorated, however, they are on the smaller side, and the layout presents a practical consideration. Windows open into a narrow internal courtyard, and when the curtains are drawn, privacy is quite limited. At a price point of around USD $200 per night, this we felt was unacceptable. You could never open the curtains as people walking on the next corridor would see inside a room. When one pays USD200 you dont expect such a poor guest experience and this was one hotel during our tour of SE Asia we thought we had paid for breakfast but we found it was not included.

Walking around the lake on a Sunday night, seeing 4 generations of locals out enjoying each leisure, was beautiful. Added a view of the people beyond tourist attractions.

We then returned to Hanoi and The apricot. Moving along to Hoi A then we had a couple more opportunities to stay at The Apricot. It was like hone! Beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service. For us the breakfast was included. Such a great variety of food. Something for everybody. On our last night we ordered à la cart for dinner. Excellent! Hoping Nguyen was our waitress. She was funny and provided great service.

The hotel is beautifully designed with an artistic style and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I would especially like to thank the staff member named Hoc. He always greeted guests with a warm smile and was very helpful during my stay.The location of the hotel is also great, close to many attractions and with a beautiful view. • Norbert (7/5): Prima hotel met goede locatie om de stad te verkennen. - Locatie is leuk om gemakkelijk se stad te bezoeken. Van buiten de kamer was een storend geluid waardoor je niet kon slapen. Andere kamer geboekt aan de andere kant, opgelost. Uitzicht of daglicht is overigens ook beperkt.

• 814derynh (8/5): Wonderful hotel - What a lovely hotel with a beautiful reception area. We arrived as a group from a long flight from the UK and were all given huge breakfast boxes. Our room 416 was very good with traditional decor and views over the lake and tea and coffee making facilities. The toiletteries were excellent. We had one problem that there was a Tai Chi class every morning at around 6.30 outside our window which woke us up. As a group we had a private dinner on the second evening which was excellent. We had beef on a wasabi vegetable base, beef salad which was massive, lobster bisque, grilled sea bream stuffed with vegetables followed by passion fruit cheesecake. All beautifully presented and tasting wonderful. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Assim, quando um dos ocupantes do quarto ia ao banheiro à noite e acendia a luz dentro dele, iluminava também o quarto, perturbando o sono de quem dormia.

If convenience and scenery are priorities, this is ideal. Service: 1/5 I requested a high floor, lake-facing room both in the reservation comments and in a separate email to the hotel prior to arrival. At check-in, I was told flatly that this was not possible. I offered to pay for an upgrade, and was told, “Your room is your room — you cannot pay for an upgrade.” However, when I checked the hotel’s website, lake-view rooms were available at the same price I paid, and several rooms in the next category up were also still open. The tone at check-in was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, which set an unfortunately negative tone for the stay. Breakfast: 2/5 Breakfast was limited and average, not matching the standard or expectations for a 5-star property. Room: 1/5 The room was very small, and the window faced a brick wall, providing no view and almost no natural light. It felt nothing like the rooms shown in the promotional imagery — cramped and dark. Overall The location is truly exceptional, but the service was not welcoming, and the room quality and breakfast did not meet the standard implied by the hotel’s branding or price point. If you choose to stay here, be aware that requests for room preferences may not be honored, and even offers to pay for upgrades may be refused, regardless of availability.
• Mariadeffy (10/5): The tres chic hotel apricot - I stayed at the Apricot Hotel in Hanoi and absolutely loved it. The location is very central in the Old Quarter, with a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is elegant, the rooms are beautiful, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.
