Guest Reviews
- Cristian (6/5): - Falta mucho mantenimiento y cuidado del exterior.
- Brolin (4/5): - Don’t book this just for the pool, that’s for sure. Not like the photo on the booking. The room was really dirty, lizard poop on the walls that wasn’t even fresh, the light fixtures had a thick layer of dust on them. The beds and linen were seemingly clean though. I was a little annoyed because the listing said this place had laundry and then when I asked the front desk he referred me to a woman in town (not close) to take it to and pay her to do it. The hotel is not super close to the main area but the staff will drive you in the hotel truck if you ask them and for driving it is very close. I don’t know if they run their own river tours ever but he referred us to another company for this as well which makes the photos on their listing a bit misleading since they show boats on the River. It was very cheap though
- reah (10/5): - VE:
The reception staff were exceptionally helpful & welcoming.
It was great to have 2 pillows provided per person, instead of having to ask for them. Toiletries, water & coffee, sugar were welcomed, but no creamer/"milk".
Breakfast food was great (but the coffee was terrible - weak, awful taste)
Minimart was basic, but good.
-VE:
The property is just old & tired & obviously difficult to maintain.
The housekeeping/maintenance staff obviously have a tough job.
Mould in the bathrooms & corners of bedroom. Smelly.
Sheets too small for bed, old & discoloured, with a "smell".
No TV at all.
Not a space we really wanted to return to after a hard day in the national park.
- Eric (8/5): - Great location
- Iulia (10/5): - Lovely place to say, air conditioning in rooms, bathrooms had toiletries. Sheets are super clean, breakfast in the morning. We liked the roti and curry and extra coffee.
Small mini mart next door, loads of on-street parking.
Walkable to the jeti in 15min albeit up a small steep slope.
Quiet night except the mosque call at 5:45am each morning
- Rikke (6/5): En enkelt nat i Taman Negara - En enkelt overnatning under vores besøg i Taman Negara.
- Steve (6/5): - False advertising with the pictures of a pool as this was empty and i couldnt see signs that this was temporary. A bit of a trek from the National Park after a long day. When asked the staff were happy to shuttle you from the hotel to the jetty. The staff were all pleasant.
- SALWANI BINTI MOHD SALLEH (6/5): - The cabinet door fell off when we opened. No television, tissue, telephone, iron in the room. Towel n toilet mat is not provided, need to ask, given later at night, and quantity not as it should be. Fridge smells bad. Aircond filter no maintenance, we need to clean on our own, only then feel cold.
- Amy (10/5): - Room was clean with decent bed. No telephone but that is okay. Food was great. Recommended.
- Lolita (10/5): - It was an amazing stay the room very clean and so comfortable.
- Grace (10/5): Keep up the Good work👍 - The hotell is perfect and the stagg are friendly and approachable
- Robert (8/5): Basic but fine - Just average all round. Lovely location and nice pool . Dormitories very basic and no food or service available.
- Jannie (2/5): Vies ranzige hotel! - Meest vieze hotel waar wij ooit zijn geweest. Alles is vies.
- Thomas (4/5): Not quite as advertised - The bar is set low in Taman Negara, most places are suited to backpackers. Our room was never very clean on our two night stay: upon arrival hairs on the toilet and toothpaste on the bathroom mirror, light fixture that didn’t work. Mostly disappointed in that there is no in-room WiFi as advertised; and no restaurant as advertised (only meal service at specified times).
- Manoj (8/5): - We booked for a dorm for four. But we were surprised when we went to the hotel as our room was upgraded to two twin chalets. Overall a pleasant stay with no disturbance. Only negative was the swimming pool, which had loads of chlorine in it.
- R-one (2/5): - No Wifi
No AC remote Control
No towels
No bedsheets
Room not clean
If you can, found an other place .
- Sioyean (6/5): Budget stay with facilities - Good choice if you are looking for a budget place to stay overnight, yet able to enjoy the facilities.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Can be better - The place needs a make over because it's rather old...
- John (10/5): Would recommend - Everything was great except the pool and restaurant at the resort were closed. Not the end of the world but still a bummer when we were really looking forward to cooling off in the pool.
- Arne (6/5): Uninspiring but WITH pool. - Uninspiring premises. Nice pool. No interest in guests. Room not according to pics, however as clean as possible given age.
- Georgio (10/5): Cozy resort in the jungle - As the title says it's a cozy resort in the jungle. Walking distance to the ferry to Taman Negara National Park. Had the Deluxe Chalet in low season at the back of the resort compound, right at the edge of the jungle. Pleasant room and at this location it's quiet which was the goal of the stay. Buffet breakfast is simple but adequate for the start of the day.
Resort personnel is very nice, helpful and accommodating. This place can be recommended to anyone who is seeking a comfortable jungle retreat. True, no TV in the chalet and WiFi is only at the lobby area, but if you want to be disconnected from the digital world and unwind, it's quite an advantage.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect location ♡♡ - Very close to everything required for our jungle adventures
- LAURA (8/5): Friendly and relaxing - Great.
- Nadine (6/5): Good hotel. Convenient location - We initially booked the dormitory for 2 adults and 2 children. It's terrible. For a small increase in price we upgraded to a family room and this was much better. Spacious and cleaner. Bonus is the pool. Staff are helpful
- yokko (6/5): - room is ok. breakfast can be improved. it is in a quiet location. no transportation from jetty, so if you are not by car and have big suitcases, I do no recommend.
- Christine (10/5): Very accessible with good value trips. - We were a group of 10 and the hotel was very accommodating for us providing a very good breakfast spread.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Basic Standard of Roms , Pool is nice and Breakfast offers Basic choice
- rebecca (4/5): Just a place to spend a night - Although the hotel advertises it has all the facilities they are in poor condition. No hot water in shower, a sink that leaked, stained curtains hanging off broken curtain rails, ill fitting doors. Breakfast was limited with a big queue for the only decent item - omelettes. We didn't attempt any other meals at the hotel as despite all other places in town having lots of customers the hotel resturant was empty
- richard (10/5): Best hotel so far in malaysia - We've been in Malaysia for a week now. Compared to what we've seen in Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Besut, at this point, this is by far the cleanest, safest and most comfortable accommodation we had yet. The complex is cute, the food OK. Much better than Han in my opinion.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Trip at Pahang - We stayed at hostel which is a distance away from the main building. It takes about 3 minutes walk from main building to the hostel. Need to take unbrella when raining and at night, there is not light along the way as you walking back to the hostel. There is a heater in the toilet, but was not working. Drinking water can only get from main building provided you bring along a bottle.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average hotel - Good location for Taman Negara. Breakfast wasn't great and took a while for staff to help with issues in the room. Wouldn't stay again but fine for location.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good hotel! - We stayed one night in a standard double room and one night in a 4 person dorm. The dorm was ok; the toilet flusher didn't work and there was no hot water in the shower, but it was decent.
The double room had no hot water in the shower either, but it was spacious and nice.
There was only wifi in the lobby and it was a but slow at times, but hey, there was wifi!
The swimming pool was fantastic! Nice and cool.
- Kim (8/5): Great stay with service that went above and beyond - We spent two nights here while visiting Taman Negara. The hotel is a quick walk (~5min even with kids) from the jetty where we were dropped off. The room was spacious with nice bedding. It was nice to have a pool to cool off in after a long hike. The breakfast was okay but I REALLY appreciate the water dispensers in the lobby. No need to buy disposable plastic bottles!! We just refilled our hiking bottles. Also, we left behind our overnight kit and someone delivered it back to KL for us!!
The wifi was poor in the lobby and we couldn't get reception in the room.
- Jenni (6/5): Basic but clean hotel - The hotel is basic but the rooms were clean and staff responded quickly to maintenance issues in the room. Hotel is located walking distance to the jetty so access to the national park was easy. Breakfast was very very bad.
- Verified traveler (8/5): kool area - very nice
- Payal (10/5): Nice place - Great place. Staff very helpful. Very close to Jetty (10min walk).
- Jaimin (10/5): Great place to stay - Great place to stay. Staff very helpful. Very clean & spacious room. Room cleaned daily. As others have said, wifi only available at reception & if more than a few people connected then its painfully slow (but we were happy to get any wifi at all considering the location). Will definately stay here again.
- Chee Kean (6/5): good for short escape from city. - It is ok quite clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great, especially for the Jungle - Nice Place in the middle of nowhere. Very Good for trekking and exploring nature!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Hotel..Great Location - Hotel is located nearby the jetty to taman negara. Surrounding area around the hotel is peaceful and very laid back. A good place to stay indeed
- Robert (10/5): Xcape Resort, Taman Negara, Malaysia - The hotel management was attending to repairs after flood damage earlier in the year, so I did not give condition the highest rating. All repairs may be completed by now. The location is good at the edge of the village where it is quite with little activity. Only breakfast was available at the time of our visit but I suspect that full meals service is likely available now. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.
