- Marjolaine (8/5): O temps suspens ton vol - Le charme surrané de ces deux maisons. La situation au cœur de Key West, c est top de tout pouvoir faire à pied et en vélo. On a adoré quitter les gros buildings pour vivre ici au coeur de la végétation… La cuisine équipée et le canapé lit confort pour les enfants. Et surtout le charme du balcon avec son hamac.. Les salles de bains un peu désuètes. Le bruit de la Clim (on a eu de la chance car il ne faisait pas chaud donc on a pu l éteindre). Le fait de ne pas pouvoir ouvrir les fenêtres de la salle de bain et de la chambre.

Did not want to leave. Tried to get additional days but they were booked solid. Thought that there was no parking except for what was available on the street would be a problem but it was not. Next time I will fly directly and not Miami. I didn’t need to rent a car.. everything is walking distance!!

- Edward (10/5): Enjoyed a return visit to paradise in Key West - the Island City House Hotel! - Pretty much everything. Our Cigar House room was excellent. Gardens were so nice. Rooms were cleaned very well. TV setup was a little hard to find our way around, but that was a low priority during our stay.

- Natalie (1/5): Schimmelgeruch und Glasfasern in der Schlafcouch - nicht empfehlenswert trotz schöner Außenfassade! - Das einzig Gute war die Lage und die Hilfsbereitschaft der Hotelmitarbeiterin die uns immerhin uns einen Teilbetrag erstattet hat (1/5 des Preises trotz gesundheitlicher Risiken denen wir ausgesetzt wurden) Die Luft war sehr feucht mit starkem Schimmelgeruch. Hier sah man auch übermalte Stellen gesehen, wo man vermuten könnte, dass es sich um Schimmel oder einen Wasserschaden handelt. Außerdem gab es in der Couch gesundheitlich sehr gefährliche Glasfasern (die Matratze hatte keinen Überzug sondern nur ein Spannbettlaken, sodass die Fasern überall auf unseren Klamotten waren und starken Juckreiz ausgelöst haben! Obwohl wir am nächsten Morgen Bescheid gegeben haben, dass die Unterkunft extrem schlecht war und uns wurden nur 100$ von den fast 500$ die wir bezahlt haben zurückerstattet. Unfassbar!!

- Susan (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing! Tropical paradise!! - My husband and I have stayed at the Island City House many times. It is always our "go to" accomodations when visiting Key West. We've stayed at all three buildings in the complex and have been very satisfied with each of them. The main house is our favorite only because we enjoy the historic aspect of the original hotel. The courtyard is beautiful with private sitting areas and a great pool. The property is centrally located to everything but far enough off Duval St that it is very quiet. We walk all over the island from this location. We have no dislikes. That's why we keep returning.

- West (10/5): Tropical oasis, close to everything. - Everything was beautiful. A little tropical oasis, very close and within walking distance to most restaurants and venues. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Especially Carolina!!! We will go back again, definitely.

- Culture795470 (10/5): Relaxing oasis in Old Town Key West - Had a very comfortable stay in the King Porch suite on the 3rd floor of the Island City House - good sized sitting room/eat-in kitchen/bedroom. We loved having the porch to sit outside and listen to the wind rustling through the palm trees and the water gurgling in the fountains. The room faces the back of the house, overlooking the gardens, so you are away from the street (although William Street is not that busy or noisy) - the room was very quiet. The gardens were relaxing, and we enjoyed meeting the resident cat, Bert. We would definitely go back! Recommend the Eaton Street Seafood Market (across the street) for a casual meal, and Date & Thyme for lunch + the Old Town Bakery. Had delicious meals also at 7 Fish and Cafe Sole, and a lovely breakfast at Sarabeth's.
- Teo Novo (8/5): Hotel centenário surpreendente e confortável. - Construção centenária bem interessante e muito conservada com um jardim e fonte d'água bastante agradáveis. A localização é excelente a cerca de dez minutos caminhando do centrinho. Apesar do apartamento ser bastante confortável e ter um espaço para cozinha com toda estrutura, a falta do café da manhã decepciona um pouco. Por outro lado, o voucher dá oportunidade de conhecer a padaria, que tem produtos de qualidade e um capuccino gostoso.

- ROBERT (5/5): - Dissapointments, bed, flooring dirty. Carpet rug dirty. Blinds did not fit the windows, not sure if alarms worked no way to test. The rooms are aged. Location was good. Had to leave 1 day early due to catastrophic weather alert, staff had no sympathy not any consideration, response was corporate policy. That's very disappointing to know it's all corporate driven.about fees. Would rather vacation through private hosts next time. The attitude of staff is rude as if there doing the customer's a favor.. Not at all pleased with the room accommodations. Not clean. Unprofessional staff.bed not comfortable. Hole caving on mattress. Blinds not fitting windows,room, everything is aged. The toilets are midget size.

We didn’t really mind, but the two staircases and narrow doorway would have been difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Sofa bed not super comfortable

- Lionel (9/5): - Le lieu, le personnel très chaleureux et accueillant, la position de l'hôtel, le calme, le coupon pour aller s'acheter à manger dans une très bonne boulangerie le matin mais les 5$ offerts font très radin vu le prix de la nuit. Le prix est exorbitant mais c'est malheureusement comme ça dans tout key west. L'eau de la piscine qui n'était pas très chaude, pas idéal pour les frileux.

The towels were good and replenished often. Very loud with traffic and trash cans twice a week. Pictures of the place were not accurate. Much smaller than anticipated especially for two couples. Hooks on walls and or doors would have been helpful. No place to put suitcases.

Kitchens very usable & make it easy to relax on property Being an older building, the walls are thin & floors a little creaky! Pretty good location proximate to Duval, but be ready to walk lots
- Robert (8/5): I would stay there again. - The suite was roomy and well laid out. The bed was comfortable. The pool looked very nice but due to cold cold weather we weren’t able to use it. The property was very nice and in a great location. The bathroom was crazy and old. The pedestal sink was low the only place to put toiletries was on the other side of the room. The toilet was also low and the toilet paper holder was on the wall at the back of the toilet where it was hard to reach.

The verandah seating is great for your morning coffee or after a long day glass of wine. Housekeeping is lovely, she greeted me each morning with a welcome. The bed is amazing! This is our go to stay with easy access to and from Key West Express and our favorite harbor walk restaurants. Zip

- Maria (10/5): This place is charming with all the amenities, a great staff and great location. - This property is adorable. There is the requisite pool but also a sweet garden area with a koi pond and lush greenery. There are plenty of outdoor places to sit and chill alone or with friends. The room had everything including a toaster, I love that! The staff was so nice on every encounter. The location was perfect, walking distance to all the good stuff. The only upgrade I would consider is keyless entry.
- Bridget (10/5): Lovely stay on a beautiful property. - I found the hotel grounds absolutely lush and beautiful. Everything is well taken care of. The room was larger than I expected from the picture, with a little kitchen area, living area & bedroom. The property had a nice pool but no sauna as was advertised. They did not provide breakfast but gave you a $5 voucher per person per stay (not per day) to a good little bakery down the road. We got a pretty good deal (around $300 per night) but at the higher prices I've seen since then, breakfast included would be nice, as so many other bed & breakfasts around the area offer it. They also have bikes available to rent (can't remember the cost), which is convenient for KW. A beautiful property & nice stay overall. Breakfast not included.

Staffers very nice and efficient Very poor lighting over bathroom sink, which was very small. No free coffee/breakfast outside to connect with other guests. Room was very musty upon arrival. Flight of steep stairs going up to room which was tough for seniors….no fault of the owners. Booking oversight on our part. Not enough lighting in kitchen area, very dark in the morning. Coffee pods were espresso which we don’t care for.

Grounds are well kept with sitting areas to relax in the shade enjoy the koi ponds. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Daily housekeeping was early and excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful.
