We chose to leave on the first night and the man at the desk just didn't seem to care that we didn't feel safe and offered another room. We declined and chose to leave but asked for a refund and were refused. We were very upset and had to find another hotel.

• Golmayo (4/5): i would personally not stay again. it’s really only good for spending one night or so. - the only nice things i can really say about my stay were the staff members and that it’s near the beach it was really dirty, i had to use my own cleaning supplies to clean and make myself feel more comfortable. i went ahead and washed the sheets and all the towels as well. the bed was hard and the overall area is just really sketchy, and i didn’t feel safe.

Had people screaming and yelling smell of alcohol and weed so strong. Just a horrible experience and the bed was so bad I am still having pain from it might as well sleep on the floor. Room we had to go to wasn't even actually clean by the way. Just horrible

When I got there to check in they didn’t even have a room to accommodate us! They didn’t even try to fix the problem they created! I will never go back there! The rooms were prolly dirty and nasty with bugs anyways! Price way too high to begin with! We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to even come to the front desk, then it was a 12 yr old boy who had to call his mom to come help us

Great location near the beach/pier/restaurant, the staff is polite and professional, very fun area and affordable. Perfect for a weekend getaway! The only thing was the ice machine was temporarily out of service, but there's a 711 located right across the street so it wasn't even really an inconvenience.
• Eddie (1/5): This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had — overpriced, dirty, far from everything, and nothing like the photos. - There was nothing pleasant about my stay. The hotel is in terrible condition. People might say, “Well, you paid a low price.” But no — we paid $250 for two nights, and it was awful. I didn’t like anything. The location is not accessible, the property is poorly maintained, and the front desk service was terrible. When we booked through Booking.com, we were told to call the hotel to provide our card details in advance — which felt suspicious. We contacted Booking, and they advised us not to share our card info that way. When we arrived, we were treated badly by a very rude front desk person. The room had a broken air conditioner, smelled like mold, and had sand all over the floor — clearly not cleaned properly. The bathroom was dirty too. It was an awful experience from start to finish.

The owner is nasty and rude telling us to shut up while he’s talking very nasty place to be with it needs to shut down and rebuild and the State need to come in and clean it up
• Chloe (2/5): - Do not let the reviews fool you, we booked a room for one night trying to save some money as the online reviews looked fine. It ended up being disgusting. We walked into the room and the lights wouldn’t turn on, smelled of fresh cigarettes and shortly after sitting down, there were cigarette butts on the floor. We asked for a refund as I felt unsafe without any lighting in the room and could hardly breathe with the smell. We were told to contact Expedia by the owner, and then Expedia told us we had to contact the owner. He offered to change the room while we were on the property and then again with Expedia to which we declined due to the smell and no guarantee of cleanliness. We ended up walking away empty handed after contacting Expedia, they contacted the owner and nothing could be done. Spend your money else where, i would have rather have slept in my car.

• Jennifer (2/5): HORRIBLE - Room stunk like weed (skunk), they give you 2 towels and if you need more you take the used ones to them and they wash them and bring them back to you. Took over 10 minutes for someone to come even check us in. There’s not extra lock on the door, the bathroom door won’t shut all the way and the lock hinge is hanging off the wall. Tv won’t even change channels, pillows are tiny and very worn out, the beds are NOT queen size like we reserved, the beds are hard as rocks, homeless people hanging out in the stairways, people in the parking doing drugs.

The facility had a group of guys who looked questionable who stayed in a specific area all the time and there was a fight outside my room door the night I stayed. I was staying the night before a cruise. I would recommend people avoid this hotel if they have their family and children. I made the best of my one night but would not stay again.

• Cheryl (4/5): Woman traveling solo and did not feel safe - Sketchy surroundings for a woman traveling solo. I was given a room on 3rd floor in top back corner of the walk up building. A cop car was in the parking lot following up on something from night before and said watch out for riff-raff. I was in town for concerts in Hampton. I checked in, left for the show, then returned to get my belongings and check out around 2am without staying even one of the two nights I had already booked and paid for. I luckily had friends who were able to accommodate me in their rental house just up the road.

I think the unhoused live there. The police came in droves i believe it was some kind of drug or prostitution bus. When I took a shower the whole handle fell off while i was trying to turn the water off.My cousin also traveled with us their first room had black mold on the celling then second room a man was doing construction. Our toilet had not been cleaned, there was hair on the shower wall, there was no soap initially (and was thrown on the bed by the second night)- so there is not such thing as housekeeping really. the shade did roll down to shut all the way so anyone could look in, and while a non-smoking room it smelled like smoke as people would smoke outside the room door and there was an inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor- plenty of space to let anything from the outside in. And don’t forget the stairwells that smelled of pee. Only redeeming qualities - it’s right across from the beach and the Ocean View pier, and had working air conditioning, a bed, and a working shower with hot water.

• Clifton (8/5): - The first two rooms I was put in neither one had a security latch. The third room I got put in there was smudges and everything all over the sheets. It looked like possible semen stains on the blanket. The staff however was very friendly and they did take care of the problems immediately. The shower leaked but it still had great shower pressure so that wasn't a deal-breaker. I just hope they don't have issues with that in the future which I'm sure they will. I will say for as uncomfortable as the bed was I did sleep fairly well. I was more awoken by traffic noise then the bed itself. I will end this on a positive and say the view of the ocean right there is very beautiful. I you get what you pay for and if you're looking for a nice cheap spot there are worse places.
