Guest Reviews
- Yanny (6/5): - I liked the arty design, the concept of the hotel.
- ChipRyan222 (2/5): Bad experience , this hotel is to be avoided - Be careful with this hotel because it does not respect the reservations. I booked through hotels.com a room (it clearly stated in the reservation that it is a single room and not the shared room-hostel) and there the receptionist shows me a paper that has no connection with my reservation where it appears as if I would be booked in a single hostel room in a room. I mention that I paid the price for the single room and not for the hostel - single bed. I canceled the reservation was the only way to solve the problem and I went to another hotel. It is a trick of the hotel and this hotel is to be avoided.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good choice - The staff were really helpful, there was a 24 hour check in and free luggage storage. We had free breakfast as well which was nice. The hotel had a good location that you could walk to from the centre in 20 mins, the only thing was that the room was a bit small, not much space to move and boards between the bunk beds.Good choice overall.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location of hotel and price of accommodation are generally good.
- alexandrapadua (2/5): Worse hotel experience so far - This hotel must be avoided. At the check in I was told that I was not going to be accommodated at single room that I had booked but in a shared room. When I complained, they said that it was not their fault but the tour operator selling the rooms to Expedia. I spent three hours over the phone with both operators to try sort this problem out. It appears that this trick is practiced often. There were several other guests in my same condition.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - ATTENTION BEFORE BOOKING! ME AND OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BOOK A PRIVATE ROOM BUT THEY GIVE US A SHARED ROOM!
ALSO WHO BOOKED WITH OTHER WEBSITE THEY INFOR YOU MISTAKE IS NOT THEM BUT WEBSITE. (HARD TO UNDERSTAND...)
OVERALL FOR GROUP COULB BE OK. ITS SEEM CLEAN
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I arrived at the hotel at 23.00 having booked a single room. Upon arrival, I was told that I would be sharing a room with a complete stranger!
I had to find another hotel - not easy at that time of night!
Nekotel refused to offer any refund.
(This review relates to a visit in October 2019).
- 24sallyanneh (6/5): Better than I expected! - I’d read the reviews however the hotel is ok. Clean sheets and clean towels daily. The breakfast is fine and the coffee is great. It’s very close to the station. The area is not great but it’s busy and felt ok.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the price - The lobby seems ok but once you enter the rooms, they stink! It smells strongly to cigarette and all your belongings will end up smelling like that. Walls and windows are very thin, which makes it very noisy.
Not a lot of TV channels and wifi stops working at random times.
- pontemapo (2/5): Hellish stay! - Let's start with the fact that I have asked for twin beds weeks before - when booking online - just to be told at our arrival at 9pm that they only have a double bed room left. Fine. Let's continue with the fact that the hotel is in a bad looking area, dark populated with grimy figures and with sudden spells of activity even in the middle of the night, including people yelling in various un-understandable languages whilst having loud/drunken "conversations" or simply coaches coming and going all the time. Fine. Let's talk about the dark stairs with not working light: still fine. However the apex is reached with the room: a horrible filth and smelly cave not suitable as a shelter for any human being - or any other vertebrate actually. As visible from the pictures, the carpet was in obscene conditions, with plenty of stains, dust and other bits. The drapes where dirty and stained as well and even the bed sheets where stained in many places. All that in a room with one of the bed light broken and sadly hanging on by its cables and the obvious big cigarette (crack?) stain on the bedside table. The bathroom was an additional level of dirty decadence, with the toilet seat missing altogether, the shower curtain disgustingly and suspiciously stained, the shower seal falling off etc. We couldn't even just have a proper shower to wash all the above away because only a few ml of showering substance was available, which was barely enough for my hair! I do strongly recommend this hotel to be cleared off the list of available accommodations in Bruxelles and I also strongly recommend anyone considering it to avoid at all costs.
- Meander578049 (2/5): Stay away - The rooms were filthy and the carpet and curtains looks as though they have not been cleaned since the the hotel have been opened. The walls were dirty and the window sill was full of dust that triggered my asthma. One of our bed was broken in the middle and the other was being supported with a tin of paint and the toilet seat was broken. I made several complaints by email to both booking.com and the hotel but never got any response so I verbally complained and upon checking out I was offered €20 by Christian the receptionist/manager on the condition that I go online and somehow cancel my booking which would have prevented me from writing a review.
- michel (8/5): clean and comfortable - Clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable bed.
The bathroom had a little bit of sewer smell, but it wasn't that bad.
The idea of making an "art" hotel is cute, but in this case its very poorly executed, and the so called "art" is falling off the walls. I feel the rooms could use a brush up, and it would probably not even take that much effort to make them feel more fancy.
- 734katiet (10/5): Clean and fresh :) - Stayed here on the first night of our travels and it was just what we needed, very close to the train and bus station and only a short walk into the center of Brussels . The room itself was clean, bright and had great views over the City, it had everything we needed, hairdryer, clean towels, air con, wifi etc.
There was a breakfast option available for I think €6 but we didn't take it, the staff were friendly and helpful so The process was smooth. The only downside to our stay would have been that the pillows on the bed were small and limited, which made for a slightly uncomfortable sleep. However we had a great stay and would go back if we were to revisit the area!
- dylanpearse (2/5): I wouldn’t stay again if I was offered it for free! - I don’t usually write bad reviews as I am always loath to be negative where no negativity is really needed, but these guys are truly taking the proverbial ‘Mickey’. Everything they’ve written in their Overview is - arguably - a load of boll*x. The online pictures you’ll see, much like the pristine and rather cool reception area are there to lull you into a false sense of security. Once you check in - which I suppose is also a potentially worrying experience depending on which staff member you get, coz they couldn’t find my booking at the outset - and take the elevator to your room you will quickly realise, there is something very wrong in the state of...well, Brussels. Carpets are filthy and stained terribly. It’s not funky. It’s dirty and grubby. It didn’t get any better. The carpet in my room had what looked like blood spatter. The curtains were stained. There were hand marks on the walls. There was a kettle. But that’s all there was. No teabags and no coffee. There was nothing. The air conditioning worked, but I’ll come back to that. There was a small bathroom which was passable. The shower had good pressure and the toilet flushed. I was appalled, but I suppose I thought better of it because I had just spent four days at Rock Werchter and was grateful for the small mercy of a room and a bed to sleep on. I had a shower and walked around the block and then into town. BE ADVISED - THIS IS NOT A SAFE AREA! I was appalled at where I was. I spent most of my evening in Brussels centre and when I did get back to Brussels-Midi - which the hotel is close enough to - I had no second thoughts about getting there as quickly as I could. A very unsavory area. Into the room, but even with the door locked, I didn’t feel secure. Anyway, back to the air conditioning. I had the air conditioner on for a good portion of the evening but found that the next day I was physically ill. Difficulty breathing, escalating heartbeat. I am putting this down to the bad air quality in the room and the likelihood that there could well be a carbon monoxide issue.
If you’ve read this and you are thinking about booking a room here, please, please, please save your time AND your money. Pay a little extra and go somewhere where you will enjoy your stay.
If you are reading this and you work in the hotel, you have to know, you are letting people down and you don’t serve your fellow man. You have a lot to improve on.
- Subhamoy1987 (4/5): Bad Stay - Hotel is near to Midi station but the locality is unsafe . Inside the hotel too I never felt safe for a one night horrible stay . Reception guy was not so welcoming. Service is worst . Never experienced such a bad condition before .
- 238linseys (2/5): Walked in walked out - We arrived after finishing the liege marathon so very tired just wanting a shower and a clean bed to sleep in. Got to the reception desk to find 2 prostitutes checking in throwing money everywhere. Their madam walked in shouted at them then dragged them out (1st set of alarm bells ringing). We checked in and went to our floor. As we were getting out the lift the carpet had a massive stain from bleech being used on it(2nd set of alarm bells). There was also a funny smell. Opened the door to our room and oh my goodness. The smell hit you as soon as you walk in. It absolutely stunk. The carpet had so many stains not sure what the colour was supposed to be. There was stains all over the walls aswell. The bathroom was disgusting. We could not even manage one night. We left The room immediatly and went back to the front desk. The man behind the desk was not helpful at all. Basically told us we had paid our money and that was it. He would not give us our money back or a email address to contact a manager. Please please please do not waste your money on this hotel.
- alexis (6/5): - Easy access to Eurostar with a very short walk
- Birunthini (6/5): - Carpets were badly stained but bed linen and towels were clean. Walls had blistered plaster so kept rubbing off onto the floor. Bathroom had toiletries and was clean but smelt a little damp.
Right by the station although dodgy area with sirens every 15/20min. My room was right by the stairwell door which kept slamming and keeping me awake. Can’t do much for area as there were 4* hotels also nearby but would have heard the same.
- Celeste1515 (10/5): Lovely hotel and friendly staff - This was one of the best hotel I stayed at during my last trip. It was clean and comfortable, near to the train station and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay again if I come to Brussels for holidays.
- Mrs (4/5): - No Credit Cards accepted only cash. Very loud. Windows closed but very loud. emails were not answered. Stuff does not speak english.
- T7720BQstephent (2/5): Reception staff acting suspiciously - They say the credit card machine is broken and demand cash on check in. They lie, i saw a customer pay by credit card when they insistently demanded that they would inky pay by card. Then they told the next customer they the machine was broken.
- jordanhK7920WG (2/5): Don’t bother. Book elsewhere. - I booked this hotel due to its price relative to other hotels with equal proximity to Brussels Midi. It is simply not worth your time or effort staying here. The room was dirty, the whole hotel smells and is hugely outdated and in need of some serious TLC. There were smelly dirty towels left outside our door. Our carpet and curtains were covered in suspect white stains. The radiator was broken and there were cracks in the wall.
We immediately checked out and went and stayed at the Radison hotel around the corner which was much nicer and only slightly more money. We expressed the desire for a refund and have had no reply as of yet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, quiet room. Great location five minute walk from Gare de Midi. Reasonable breakfast, large fresh croissant and chocolate pan and several cups of coffee for six euros. I would stay here again if visiting Brussels.
- estellacarling (8/5): Very nice - I liked the room. It was spacy and clean with a bog television screen . It is noisy and if you are a light sleeper then maybe you will have a problem. The receptionists helped me in everything i needed. I have to warn ladies to not stay alone in this area because it's very dangerous, and this is not an exaggeration or a joke. I had the worst experience in my life. If you are accompanied by men, then you will be ok.
- Sasch (2/5): - Terrible hotel bad location ( raugh people hanging around the hotel ) dirty room rapet totally stained and filthy. Old fashion bath . Staff at reception was rude .and unhelpful
- TuristulR (2/5): Horrible - When you arrive they put you to pay 5 Euro/night, hotel special tax. They say it`s city tax, but when you say you already payed that tax on reservation, they say it`s a tax for the hotel.
The rooms are very small, and dirty. The carpet is full of stains, i think it was never washed. The bathroom is very very very small.
You will also find a teribble smell in the rooms and all over the hotel.
The only good thing is the position of the hotel, 3 minutes o foot from Brusseles Gare de Midi
- 713rics (2/5): Just don't. - Booked via corporate system so double the price. They say it's a 24h front desk. Yeah, but you have to be buzzed in. Even though the guy could see me through the window he waited til I pushed the buzzer thing. Rude. And there was no one there to check out when I left.
Wanted payment up front. Card machine broken. Waved me to an ATM across the street. That closed on me. Had to walk back to the station to find another ATM, and fund it myself at the exorbitant corporate rate. Could easily have been mugged in the process wandering around Brussels late at night with laptops and having to get 140EUR out of a machine. ,(Which is completely out of order anyway when travelling on business.)
Schlepped back to reception. Paid. Had to request a receipt.
Got to my room. It's a hole.
Tv turned itself on blaring loud soon as I worked out how to switch the light on. Pulled its plug out of the wall in frustration. Broken bog seat. No working plug in the sink. Shower head leaking (although in fairness it's actually an ok shower despite the leak). Got into bed. Heard the sounds of people having sex above me.
Felt very different about sleeping in the bed after that. Slept on top of the covers instead.
Right on a main road loads of traffic noise.
Just don't. Anywhere is better than this. I was 50:50 on kipping on a bench at the station, but if already paid by that point.
Will be attempting to get this hotel removed from the corporate list, it's that bad.
- MistyGLEN1127 (6/5): Could do so much better - Stayed here for 2 nights.
Pros - convenient to the Midi station, vending machine in lobby
Cons - dirty carpet, bed falling apart, toilet seat broken, no tea/coffee sachets, no parking (5 min walk to Q park is OK), pillow is tiny and not very comfortable.
Sounds like more cons than pros and you'd be right ..... consider staying elsewhere unless convenience to the station is what you need
- Armand (8/5): - Bon rapport qualité prix. Hôtel propre
Petit déjeuner d un prix défiant toute cl’currence
- Tatiana (8/5): Bon séjour - ASSEZ BIEN
- Erik (8/5): Utraditionel dekoration "Tin Tin" - Venlig reception, godt hotel til prisen, fair pris på morgenmad (Euro 6,-)
- maddalena (8/5): - Buona struttura nel.complesso
- R (4/5): Minimalist accommodations for a low price - Convenient location next to Brussels-Midi station, walking distance to old town. Comfortable bed with private shower. Very low price for Brussels.
The carpet in the room was the dirtiest I have ever encountered (ground in dirt and stains). I wouldn't consider walking barefoot in the room.
Breakfast was minimal - a croissant and a piece of chocolate bread. Also offered was orange juice, coffee, sliced bread, and one type of sliced cheese.
- s_duh (2/5): Spend your money else where! - Was one of my least favourable experiences of a hotel to date. Has a lot of potential to be nice, but the stained carpet as I walked into the corridor should of made me question the choice.
It felt like they made their money by their hourly visitors. (Not sure if you can rent for an hour but I also wouldn’t bother)
I walked into my room, took my shoes off and proceeded to stick the the carpet... which looked worse than something you’d find on the floor of a Lloyds or a weatherspoons. The smell from the bathroom was revolting, and I couldn’t even think about stepping into the shower.
The fairground opposite was noisy and didn’t get quiet until midnight, then the banging of doors as people returned to the hotel was off putting, but maybe worrying about someone entering my room had made my senses a little on edge. The furniture was falling apart, with things hanging off the stool. Didn’t try the tv.
The lights in the room also flickered, the masking tape decorations on the wall were eclectic, not sure they were supposed to be peeling off though, but...
The bathroom was modern, could do with being cleaned properly. And the aircon was quiet.
Id seriously recommend spending more and getting some sleep without worrying about if you’ll catch something or make it through the night.
Sorry it’s not a better review.
- terryh866 (8/5): Ideal spot - Over night stop in Brussels off Eurostar en route to Dinant and Namur.
Very close to Midi station and in a very cosmopolitan area. If you like Moroccan mint tea like me you’re in for a treat as the road into the centre (Stalingrad) is full of such tea cafes.
The room was clean and everything worked. Nice continental breakfast included in price next morning. Staff helpful and friendly.
Two minutes to Midi Gare; ten minutest our Grande Place. Okay it’s not the Ritz but it is good value for money.
- flick2131 (2/5): Don’t even bother!! - Partner and I are staying for a brief stopover before getting the train early morning, the hotel is worse than faulty towers.
The air conditioning does not work and reception are bloody hopeless. All they can say is the technician is not available and when asked if we can get a different room they say no. They are that rude that they “kiss their teeth” and even hung up on the phone. You could say “open the window” but no there is a loud fun fair going on outside and it is now past midnight. God knows how much sleep we will bloody get.
Pillows are pathetic, it’s like they scrimped and cut a pillow in half for each room.
Definitely would not come back, despite the funky art work.
- MarkyPerris (2/5): Avoid - Truly awful customer service. No air conditioning, no WiFi. Refused to move us to a different room. It's boiling, very noisy outside with window open. Waste of money. The receptionists attitude absolutely stinks. So angry.
- Verified traveler (4/5): This is not a 3 star hotel, 2 stars at best - So called art; fake transport system map in the hall way rug and cheap travel agent posters on the ceilings of the room.
Carpet in the room was worn through in places and had stains by the door.
Noisy location (Street noise and sirens).
Breakfast was a chocolate pastry and coffee for 9E, got better across the street for 5.5E.
Plus side; it was near the tram system and the train station and the bathroom was newly refurbished with a nice walk in shower.
- Jan-Willem (8/5): Nekotel - Leuk hotel vlakbij station. Goede prijs/kwaliteit.
Tevreden klant en zeker aanrader.
- Roman (8/5): Good choice for the price - I've had a trip to Brussels to spend a short weekend holiday over there. The accommodation offered was pretty good, room clean, kettle available but no mugs, no tea o coffee included... Professional staff and in general mind I was happy > for a price I've got it was very good choice really. Only one thing made me surprised: broken toiled bowl lid...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Station Midi - Nice room, comfortable bed, warm blanket, tv present, kettle only, high ceiling. Close to the Eurostar station and a 10-15 minute walk to the Grand Place.
Minimal items in room, I had a kettle, but no mugs/cups. Definitely no coffee/tea-- don't expect it, it does state on the website these are not provided.
My bathroom did not have a shower curtain as to give the illusion of a larger bathroom. This meant I practically flooded the bathroom every time I showered. So be warned, be prepared for a wet floor!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to train station and uhhh... - Hotel could use a little TLC. Had a light falling off and door handle to bathroom not fully secure. Speaking of the bathroom - it’s certainly an “all in one” where you can clean yourself while taking a #2. Guess they all that convenience. Shower water goes everywhere since there is no door or curtain. Maybe that’s how they clean it. It is close to train station which is a plus. Can be a little noisy around the area which you can hear a lot so if you are a light sleeper - choose elsewhere. Would never recommend for more than 1 night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Disappointing Disappointing Disappointing Disappointing
- Verified traveler (8/5): close to Midi train station - Clean modern rooms 15 minute walk to Grand Place. Close to a number of different restaurants.
- ASSAF MOSHE (10/5):
- Anna (8/5): - Area is quite noisy. And it's not surprising because of trains etc. But windows do not stop the noise.
on my floor were automatic lights on the corridor - that's also good, but it was not light up when i was leaving my room and trying to reach lift - and that was creepy going in total darkness.
Also - internet was not working for the time I stayed in the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is very near the station but the environment looks not very safe.Although there were nothing happened to me, when I walked on the street I felt not safe.
- Mary (6/5): Convenient to the sightseeing locations
- Convenient to various sightseeing locations but may be better not to be out too late at night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and Served My Needs - See my specific comments.
- Paul (8/5): An overnight stay with a difference - A short overnight stop on the way to Germany and this hotel provides shortest walk from Midi with reasonable price. The interior is peculiar modern art themed, but it wasmore comfortable than expected. OK for this purpose.
- patrick (8/5): brussel - prima ligging
- Diug (8/5): Good hotel close to the railway stationg - Nice, stylish hotel. The only issue is that Expedia shows it has tea/coffee making facilities. All it has is an electric jug, no cups or glasses or coffee and tea. That said I would stay here again.
- Ting-Yi (8/5): Good - Convenient to go to the midi station
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value for the money - The price is modest and the location is central. The room is big for the price. The fresh style is a welcome change from the usually somewhat conservative hotel rooms. If I am to be more critical, I would say that the floor carpet looks dirty, which detracts a bit from the look. However, I know that it is easy to get spots on these kinds of carpets and that they can be hard to remove.
- Mia (8/5): Pratique, accessible, abordable!
- Verified traveler (4/5): no comment - I would recommend for the price although the room was a bit "tacky" but without the noise from other rooms and outside could have been bearable,. the breakfast was minimal so I chose to breakfast in the hotel only one. However African cuisine next door for those who like it like myself, as handy for quick connection to Eurostar and connections from Brussels Midi station.
- Alvin (8/5): Very close to Bruxelles-Midi train station - Nice hotel less than 200 meters from train station which is what I liked best about Nekotel. The bed was very comfortable and a satisfactory bathroom with shower inside the room was also very pleasing. My only complaints were that the carpet was dirty and the room could have used more light fixtures. However, I would still stay at Nekotel next time I am in Brussels since I always wear flip flops or slippers and any other problem is outweighed by the conveniences and value this hotel provides.
- Ian (8/5): Convenient, modern hotel. Good value - Just stayed one night on a business trip. Perfectly adequate hotel but nothing special. Reception service was friendly and proessional.
- Ashish (6/5): A recommendable hotel for the price - The hotel was good for the price and also just 5 mins away from metro station makes it much better.
- Michael (6/5): - Nicely decorated and comfy hotel but a tad noisy. Nice staff and easy check-in, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again as I felt it was good value for money for a one night stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel is perfect if you need to stay one night in Brussels and be close to the Midi Station in the morning. The room is big enough for two people with a very nice, but small, bathroom. The room was just a bit noisy as it is right on a very busy street. Overall good value for money for a short stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Ho - Had worst experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - As soon as I arrived (11am) I was able to check-in, which was very convenient. The room was very clean, tidy and provided most of the stuff you need. The staff was really nice too. Overall, I would recommend.
- Radu (6/5): Modern room with some missings but great bed - Overall was a good stay for us, great location on main street, 5 min. to Midi and 20min. to Grand Place. It's strange: despite it's recently restored, with some modern urban young design, they missed some important facilities: !weak! windows soundproof (you hear even a car passing), NO small storrage stand in the room, NO shower drap or door, NO personal items space to store in the bathroom. Details & corners not cleaned well. Great bed quality. Enough helpfull staff. Free luggage storage.
- Adrian (4/5): Good price but some issues - Pros: cheap, great location for Brussels South Station, comfy bed
Cons: room not properly cleaned, noisy, no TV remote, only 2 TV channels (french only), no shower curtain so tile floor gets wet, fire escape not marked.
- Stephanie (8/5): Good overnight stay in Brussels. - Initial problem operating the room electrics. But concierge was extremely helpful. Had a good nights sleep. Would stay again. My daughter arranged the booking for me. Do you have an establishment in leuven?
- Keith (2/5): One night stay - The hotel room was fine. Great location near to the Midi station, although a little noisy. We stayed one night prior to a long journey back to our home in Dorset.
When we got up in the morning there was no hot water! The following is our reason for the grading. We complained to the desk who informed us that a plumber had been called but would not be arriving until after we had left. It was not, apparently, the first time this had happened.
We spoke to the receptionist about some sort of compensation, she advised us to contact the hotel management by email and gave us a card with the email address. I have emailed them three times over a three week period - not even an acknowledgement received.
- brian (6/5): Compact and close to the station - offers no more - Well appointed with minuscule bathroom. Clean comfortable bed - no extras
- Cory (8/5): - Room was better than expected for being right next to the train station. Window was duck taped, and the heating did not work, as they were changing seasons. If you do not need to catch an early train, or needed a low budged decent hotel- this hotel is not for you.
- KYLE (10/5): Highly recommended - This was the best hotel I stayed at while in Europe. Very good value. Very clean. Hotel staff was very helpful. Location is good, right near the main train station and only a 10 min walk to the centre square. WiFi was good, was able to stream and Skype without any issues. No fridge. No shower curtain/door... but none of the European hotel washrooms had proper means to prevent the shower from soaking the floor. I don't understand this about European showers. I never tried the TV.
- Nir (10/5): Each room is different simple (Love it!) - Great value for Money
Each room is different simple
Just what you need!
- Sanjaya (8/5): Not a bad coice near Zuid station - Nice hotel, fast check-in service and at walking distance to Zuid/South station
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very poor service - The hotel staff (male one) was not helpful at all. It's the worst service I received among all Europe hotels I have visited.
I would not stay at this hotel again as there're other hotels in Brussels with similar price and location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Comfortable room, clean, overlooking the square so a little noisy until the small hours. Great shower, firm mattress and good air con - although condensate was dripping onto the wall mounted TV! I would use the hotel again - basic and very good value.
- Kate (8/5): nice hotel near station - Room was clean but noisy in the night because It is next to the ride (people yelling all-night).
Hotel was so near the train station(7 mutes to walk) that you can easily go to another city like Bruge or Gent.
- Osvaldo Efigenio (8/5): Nice and convenient hotel. - Very nice hotel, a couple of minutes walking from the Brussels Midi Station (very convenient!), so you can go wherever you like. But even if you want to walk to the center of the city, this is just 20 minutes far. My room was spacious and nice, no complaints at all. People at the front desk was always nice. If I go again to Brussels, I will go to this hotel.
- PG (8/5): Completely renovated, close to train station - Very nice greeting from two desk clerks, helpful in recommending places to go, rooms are very fashion forward in design, complete renovation of an ancient dump into a sparkling new and cool place.
- Wael (6/5): New hotel near the station - New hotel
Very helpful receptionist
Centrally located
I chose it because it was near the train station
and it turned out to b ea good value for money
- Peter (10/5): A little gem in Brussels. - My partner picked the hotel because it was close to the station when we stayed 10 days earlier and we really liked it, so on my return back to the UK, I picked it as we felt comfortable and found the experience a good one. I shall be back in Belgium again and if travelling on to Luxembourg again, sharp more than likely stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, nice, comfortable, minor issue with shower - I really enjoyed this hotel. It was very new, open only about 3 weeks, so everything was clean and new. The location is a few steps from the Brussels Zuid station, which was great since I had a train to catch in the morning. It is a 20 minute walk from the Grotemarkt. The neighborhood seemed safe enough to me.
All of the hotel concierges were very kind. They spoke English well and gave me tips on what to do and directions to get there. They even recommended good restaurants and where to buy the best fries.
The room had an interesting feature where you insert your key card to activate the power. This was neat because I was able to shut of the lights all at once.
Also, the beds were amazing and comfortable! I wish I had asked them what brand of bed they used, as I slept so well on it.
My only complaint is the shower. I had trouble working the temp control and the hot water just wasn’t hot enough. I don't know if it was user error (the controls were really different) or if they don't have the hot water turned up that high. The water pressure is great, however. Also, why is there no shower curtain or door? I ended up getting water all over the bathroom floor, and it was still wet the next morning even after soaking through two towels. I'm sure it's not enjoyable to clean the room because of this either.
Regardless, great hotel, and I would probably stay there again. Hopefully they will have worked out some of the issues.
