Nadine (10/5): - Good size room, very clean and quiet. The motel is just before you enter Two Harbors but only minutes from the center of town. It has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There is a refrigerator (with freezer) and microwave. Very family friendly. This is my 2nd time staying here and will definitely use it again.

Shower curtain was a little moldy at the bottom but the rest of the room was great and the bed was comfortable. Overall, very happy and I would stay there again during one of my North Shore adventures.

Joseph (10/5): - Lisa, I think that was office, property manager name was very friendly when we checked in. Gave us a coupon for a nearby restaurant and other recommendations. I've been to the area many times but not recently. I wanted to give my German cousin and 18 year old daughter a typical small town motel experience. Duluth is very expensive in the summer. We stopped there on our way to Split Rock and Gooseberry Falls. Nice hot water in the shower. TV was a bit tricky to figure out but wasn't there to watch TV.

Only concern was that there is a unit above the rear motel rooms and due to it being an older building it is easy to hear movement upstairs. Otherwise wonderful motel, good and responsive management.

My only issue this year is that there is someone living above the last few rooms, and I was kept awake until 4 a.m. with the creaky floor boards above my bed. So I highly recommend this motel for all reasons, except DON'T stay in room 7!

We slept like crap though because the bed was so uncomfortable and it got stuffy and warm in the room because there is no AC in the room. There was a big stand up fan but it still got stuffy and warm. We woke up every 45 minutes-hour throughout the night just because the bed was so small and uncomfortable. Aside from that I have no complaints about cleanliness or the friendliness of the owner.

Heads up, there’s no AC in the room, so if you stay during the summer, the heat and humidity could make it challenging to sleep. Overall, it was a nicer room than many budget chain hotels.
Ronald (4/5): Terribly disappointed to say the lsadt - Never saw an employee. There was a key in an envelope with our name on it. There was no ac. It had a themastat but no ac . Front window curtain blew so hard, people could have seen in it except we put weight down to keep it from blowing. Place was old, drab, cheaply decorated. Very hard to believe reviews on Hotel.com which all show favorable. We were thankful it was clean or we would have left. I do believe i slept much last night. It was hot.

Rachel (10/5): - I stayed for one night in between skiing Spirit Mountain on a Saturday and skiing Lutsen on a Sunday. I simply needed a place to rest my head, have a shower, and coffee in the morning. This place checked all those boxes and then some. While breakfast is not advertised, there was an assortment of instant steel-cut oats you could make with bowls and silverware provided, instant hot cider cocoa, a Keurig to make coffee with plus half & half - all in the check-in lobby. I was impressed with this as I was not expecting anything of the sort. The staff member there was very kind and her dog even made an appearance which was a lovely surprise. The place is simple don't get me wrong but if you're not picky, this place is safe and charming.
