De ruimtes binnen zijn wat gedateerd, overal ligt vloerbedekking, maar het is wel schoon. T rook een beetje muf. Er is geen ontbijtmogelijkheid.Wèl goed advies waar je wel kon ontbijten.

The exquisite living room, the wonderful backyard impressed me and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who travels here! And the host is so friendly and nice, he help us to carry two suitcases upstairs which we are really grateful for! And he gave us very helpful advice about food and activities! The rooms are so clean and comfortable, you can even see the stars through the window. And the host offers free tea bags and coffee, which is so generous. Choose here! Don’t need to look other hotels!

The incredibly friendly and helpful owner deserves special mention – his hospitality was exceptional. He gave us the best tips for local restaurants and activities (which were all spot on!) and made sure we felt completely comfortable. The entire hotel was immaculately clean and wonderfully quiet, which ensured perfect relaxation after our excursions. A particular highlight for us were the bathrooms: They are very tastefully and modernly designed and contributed significantly to the feel-good factor. We highly recommend this accommodation without reservation and would return anytime! Five stars plus!

The room was very comfortable, bathroom felt brand new, lounge and coffee/tea station were perfect and the garden was so peaceful. It felt as if we were staying in someone’s lovely country home so could move and lounge about as we pleased. We also used the hot tub a few times! Location was great, right next to ParkRun, the lake for swimming and Roy’s Peak, while town was just a 20-min walk along the shore line. Recommend staying here for a few days as Wanaka and the homestead are very special. The owner Allan was brilliant, super welcoming and helpful but also left us to it. Nothing not to like.

De lodge ligt centraal dicht bij het park, het meer en via een hele mooie route langs het meer ben je binnen 15 minuten in het leuke centrum van Wanaka. De auto kun je parkeren bij de lodge. Er is een wasmachine en droger aanwezig. Als extra verassing een heerlijke hottub. Ontzettend bedankt voor het fijne verblijf. Alles was meer dan prima.

The owner, Alan, is very cheerful and had many good advices with regard to restaurants and activiteiten. We did not use the hot tub but I guess that might be an extra. We enjoyed the hot tub and used their plastic cups so enjoyed beverages as we warmed up. Rooms are well decorated and were welcomed by Katie with a warm smile. Great location, short 20 min walk to downtown along the lake. Would definitely return! Nothing!
• Maryellen (10/5): Exceptional Stay - We had such a great experience at Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages that we chose to stay again on our return trip north a few days later. Allan is a wonderful and friendly host, offering excellent recommendations for local activities and restaurants — including a delicious meal at The Muttonbird and a rewarding hike up Mt Iron. The rooms are fresh, clean, and modern. The location is beautiful — peaceful and just a short walk to Lake Wanaka. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. The free laundry facilities were much needed as we had been traveling for awhile. The shared common area, complete with a cozy fireplace, was perfect for unwinding or enjoying a meal. Complimentary coffee, tea, chocolate were also provided. An exceptional place to stay — comfortable, well-located, and hosted with genuine warmth. Highly recommended!
• Deb (10/5): Warm, friendly and inviting-a perfect place to enjoy a little luxury! - So nice to arrive in a new place and be able to stay somewhere that feels like home ( a really beautiful home!). Allan was a wonderful host. He helped us find the beautiful local walks, the most delicious restaurants, and just generally made us feel welcome. The place is spotless. It is beautifully decorated and furnished, and it is warm and very comfortable. The communal areas were so inviting-the wood fire was welcome as it was quite cool and wet during our stay. Tea and coffee bar , great laundry, a hot tub (though we didn't use it). This place is perfect for those who expect a little more from their accomodation. Our plan is to book out the whole lodge and return with our extended family. Only regret was leaving!

• 莘 (10/5): An Absolutely Five-Star Plus Experience! - I must keep my promise to leave a glowing review because the experience here far exceeded all our expectations! This lodge felt like a home away from home in Wanaka—warm, comfortable, and beautifully designed. I especially have to rave about the interior design! My husband and I sat in the living room in the evening and couldn’t stop admiring every detail. And as for the host—oh my, he was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! He was incredibly welcoming and had such a great sense of humor. About the location: · It’s ideally situated for visitors wanting to explore the famous Lone Tree of Lake Wanaka—it’s within easy walking distance. · If you need to go shopping in Wanaka town center, driving is very convenient. Walking takes about 20-30 minutes, but it’s a pleasant stroll with lovely views. In summary: This was absolutely a stay that offered great value for money. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to Wanaka and will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommended to everyone visiting Wanaka! nothing

• Jon (10/5): - We have stayed at various places during our 3 week tour of the South Island, the Homestead Lodge was head and shoulders above everywhere else we stayed. It's a lovely place, the owners have worked hard to make it elegant, well-equiped, extremely well looked-after and friendly. The Homestead Lodge is a very pleasant walk along the lakeside into the town centre, with spectacular views the mountains. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, he even gave us a lift 12k to the start of a beautiful walk back into town. Make a point of talking to him, he will tell you the best places eat, where to get cheap petrol, where to find the best pastries and how to make the most of your stay. If you are interested in doing the Wanaka Park run, it's only about 100m to the start. It's a great place.

From helping us with our suitcases, to giving us invaluable information about hikes, bike rides, restaurants, wineries etc. He couldn't have been more accommodating and made us feel completely at home. We felt like we were staying with friends! Our room was absolutely superb - huge and well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches. The common areas were also fantastic and very much appreciated. The location was great and all round it was just fabulous. Nothing.

Shared access to a frig, curtlery and crockery was a bonus Shower recess leaked. Glass screen joint needs silicone or similar. Bifold door to built-in-robe defective

• Christi (10/5): - My wife and I stayed in a room in the lodge. It was very comfortable. Alan welcomed us and when we asked for a second night, he was able to juggle the rooms so we could stay. We were close enough to town to walk to plenty of eateries and bars and the lake. Alan also provided loads of information about what to do and where to go while in the area.
