- Melanie (9/5): Lovely one night stay! - Staff were super friendly and made checking in a pleasure. The room was well equipped and I had a great stay. Interior of the building and pool area very nice. I also felt quite safe. Not necessarily something that I did not like, but the exterior of the building is going to need some TLC soon. The wood work needs upkeep and paint is starting to peel. Nothing major, but just a nudge so that it does not get out of hand.

- allan (8/5): Old house that needs some TLC and hands-on work to fix what happens in old houses! Staff excellent - checkin was quick. Wifi password readily available. A large lounge for our family get together was part of one of our rooms and Liesl arranged some crockery and glasses for us. My self catering unit in the car park was poorly equipped if I really needed to self cater. All the cupboards and drawers were empty of utensils but there was a microwave, air fryer, kettle and nespresso machine. A security light shining outside in the carpark was intrusive. One of the rooms and the lounge needed many lightbulbs to be replaced to make them usable which the efficient staff did once we pointed it out. The shower in my wife's room never worked properly, either flow or temperature was erratic.

Поэтому мы не пожалели что выбрали этот район и такой колоритнейший отельчик. В пешей доступности гуляли с детьми до супермаркета. На крыше отеля есть небольшая терраса - набирали вкусняшек вино и встречали закат Сам дом очень красивый - много деталей, декора, я счастлива что это не бездушый отель Персонал - сказка) такая заботливая женщина нас встречала и помогала во всем, комплиментарно хозяйка отеля накрывала завтраки!

- Angelo (9/5): Charmantes Dachgeschosszimmer mit tollem Ausblick, ruhigen Nächten und besonderem Ambiente - Ich hatte ein Zimmer im Dachgeschoss. Es konnte zwar etwas warm werden, aber die Klimaanlage hat das gut ausgeglichen. Das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet, und alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Nächte waren sehr ruhig, sodass ich mich rundum wohlgefühlt habe. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch, besonders vom kleinen Balkon nebenan. Das gesamte Haus ist interessant gestaltet – fast wie eine Filmkulisse, mit vielen Bildern und einem schönen, alten Stil. Einige Bereiche sind zwar renovierungsbedürftig, aber genau das trägt zum besonderen Charme bei. Vielen Dank für alles. Das Frühstück war gut, könnte aber etwas reichhaltiger sein. Das Internet war in Teilen etwas langsam, aber gut verfügbar.

- KRISTINA (1/5): Будьте осторожны, здесь воруют деньги ‼️ - Я не советую данный отель ‼️Мы очень расстроены проживанием в этом отеле, так как у нас украли наши деньги и к сожалению поняли мы это не сразу, так как воровали очень ловко, улыбаясь нам, от чего еще более мерзко. Мы с мужем приехали в свое свадебное путешествие и выбрали данный отель для проживания в Кейптауне. Здание со своей историей, красивое, но на этом всё плюсы проживания заканчиваются. В наше проживание не был Включен завтрак, но по приезду нам сообщили, что завтрак все таки Включен для нас. Это важное уточнение в этой истории. Мы знали, что в Южной Африке воруют, но находясь в отпуске вероятно немного усыпили нашу бдительность, потому, что мы приехали отдыхать и расслабляться в нашей поездке. Теперь по порядку про кражу. - Мы сняли четкую сумму в банкомате 5000 ZAR для аренды авто, чтобы утром следующего дня пойти в офис аренды. Деньги мы не трогали, они лежали в кошельке, в сумке. При оплате аренды авто утром следующего дня, мы понимаем, что не хватает ровно 1000 ZAR. Стали думать, что возможно банкомат выдал не верную сумму. Даже отправили заявку от своего банка для поверки местного банкомата. - Вечером перед утром выселения из Ashby Manor, мы снимаем с карты 4000 ZAR, так же для аренды авто, но уже в Йоханнесбурге, так как сразу после выселения у нас самолет. Кошелек, деньги с собой. Вечером уже в Йоханнесбурге, мы готовим оплату для аренды авто и понимаем, что снова магическим образом не хватает 1000 ZAR. И тут мы понимаем всю цепочку воровства. Банк не ошибался в выдаче средств. Именно на завтраке мы не запирали чемоданы и оставляли сумки в номере, закрывая сам номер. Завтрак длится 10 минут и тут видимо мы расслабились, забыв о безопасности. Воровство было слаженной работой команды, потому что одному это сделать невозможно. Пока мы завтракаем, на ресепшене следят, чтоб мы не ушли. Эти люди мило общались с нами, улыбались нам, в этот момент тайком вытаскивая у нас деньги - это просто отвратительно.

Fliegengitter an den Fenstern oder der Terrassentur wäre gut, denn die Mücken haben leider echt genervt. Das Frühstück war recht sparsam.
- Naomi (2/5): Horrible - Kan je hier een professioneel korter maar duidelijk negatief bericht van maken: On the first night, I arrived to find that the bed linens—both on the bed and the pillow—were terrible: dirty, with stains, and some undefined marks. I then tried to reach the reception or anyone, but no one answered. There was no security or Reception. The next morning, the manager was absent, but fortunately, a cleaning staff member helped me well. The following day, when I went to shower, the showerhead fell off, causing a huge stream of cold water to shoot out of the wall. After that, I returned in the evening to the hotel after a long day, only to find there was no electricity. They told me, “Go have dinner, and when you return, it will probably be fixed.” However, when I came back, there was no staff member to be found—only guests. No one knew where the staff was, and there was no power, no lights, no Wi-Fi. We were all just sitting there, which caused a lot of unrest and panic. Overall, it was an incredibly poor stay, and I would not wish this experience on anyone else.

- Fulvia (4/5): Disappointing - Our room was comfortable with twin single beds but our shower in the bathroom was filthy. It seems the drain had coughed up some debris and the room had not been checked for 2-3 days as the debris was very dry. We called a staff member when we noticed the dirt who came to clean it immediately. The night porter was great, he was very pro-active. Beds were comfortable, the room was not very large as there was a lot of furniture in it. Location is great, centre of Seapoint, shops, beach easily accessible. Parking is first come, first served otherwise, street parking is available The whole hotel was FULL of furniture and other items like books, statues, paintings, all sorts of items which made me feel a bit suffocated. Breakfast was served in the reception/lounge/dining area which is all one space, with chairs/armchairs/sofas all thrown together to offer seating. It was not too comfortable having breakfast sitting on a sofa.

Wir sind früher abgereist ( €105 verschenkt) Erster Eindruck: ein „very spooky house“! Überall sind uralte Bücher, viel zu viele unnötige Möbel, viel zu viele Bilder an verschlissenen Wänden, uralte Sofas in jeder erdenklichen Ecke, sogar auf Frühstücks-Balkon, provisorische Treppen mit Sturzgefahr… etc.! Unser Zimmer vollgestellt mit uralten Sesseln und Kommoden, unsicher ob Bettbezug frisch war (?), mit ekelhaften Planen begrenzte „Terrasse“, hier alles mit Taubenkot überzogen, absolut dunkles Zimmer, provisorische Kabelverlegung, Dusche ok aber Wasser in WC lief ständig nach (man soll Wasser sparen!). Für Staub Allergiker eine Katastrophe!!!

- Andrea (10/5): Great location and excellent value! - Great location - Fresnaye is probably the safest neighbourhood in Cape Town, and it’s 10 min walk from the sea point, where all restaurants and bars are. The property its beautifully decorated, nice rooms, super friendly staff and great views form the rooftop terrace. The water pressure in the shower was terrible, barely any water coming down.

Coffee/tea centre too crammed, and stuck in a corner. A microwave placed in the passage for several rooms to share. Not really self catering.

We're allocated a room upstairs with great sea and sun sunset view. Room temperature warm, fan available if needed. It's a beautiful and homely accommodation. The toilet basin water draining very slow. There was a lose heavy mirror on toilet cistern, fell on my sister nearly hurt her. Light breakfast was appreciated, however expected variety on different days.
