All of the people who work there are incredibly kind and accommodating. Careful w/ the free upgrades - we almost got put in a first floor room without windows. Our friends got the top floor suite which was incredible but got a lot more of the noise from the surrounding area.

• Marianne (7/5): Es war ok. - Das Zimmer ist gross und hat eine gute Klimaanlage und Ventilator. Die Zimmer gehen alle auf den Innenhof und dementsprechend ist es laut. Man hört das Geschirr klappern, die Leute rede. Zudem war die Musik sehr laut eingestellt. Ich musste 2x während des Aufenthaltes die Rezeption bitten die laute Musik abzustellen. Wenn man tagsüber unterwegs und aktiv ist möchte man abends seine Ruhe. Frühstück ist sehr sehr bescheiden.

• Ines (9/5): - Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, nos sugirieron un cambio de habitación que se adaptaba mejor a nuestras necesidades y estamos muy agradecidos. Hay varias piscinas y zonas comunes. Es también muy cómodo que haya servicio de bar y restaurante en el mismo hotel.

• Jorge Alberto (4/5): - Lo central Ya me había quedado en tiempos anteriores en el hotel y decidí ir de nuevo con mi Familia porque había tenido una experiencia formidable; (anteriormente me habia enamorado el aseo y el excelente servicio), caso diferente a esta estadía, el aseo en el baño social, y el de la habitación NO fue nada bueno, la atención en el desayuno fue bastante regular en especial a la hora del desayuno, el servicio al cliente desmejoro muchísimo; quede muy triste y mas que estaba con mi Familia y no volvería a repetir la experiencia.

• Juanita (10/5): This was a good choice for my stay, comfortable, safe and near the local sites. - I stayed here In January--the room was lovely. I requested a room with a balcony. I was a bit disappointed with the balcony but the room actually was more like suite which I was very satisfied with it. The balcony looked onto a narrow like passageway (difficulty to describe). The breakfast was nice, made to order fresh , you had choices from a menus to pick from. The pools were lovely--not swimming type pool but just to get cooled down. The view from the rooftop was quite nice. The location was good--it was on the edge of the activity during the night. You were walking distance to the "malecon", restaurants, plazas. I felt safe walking to and from even at night as long as I didn't go away from the historial district. I would recomment this hotel to my friends. The trash outside the hotel. I asked about this at the front desk and they replied it was how the wind blew and collected just outside their entrance around the curb area.

• Frank (10/5): Great hotel not far from the beach front - The actual hotel itself, the breakfast, the room and the location I loved. But the big thing was Leonardo, who checked me in and upgraded my room. He was excellent, professorial, friendly and helpful. Arranged transport to the airport for me too. All other staff were great an really enjoyed my stay here. Nothing - it was ideal for me.
• Richard (9/5): Lovely, stylish hotel. - Our third stay at this splendidly stylish hotel, close to the lively historic centre of Santa Marta and the many bars and places to eat. A different room or suite each time - all different and all imaginatively designed. Good value for what you get. We liked the three swimming pools and the cool, attractive interior courtyard. Tasty breakfast. Neither room safe was working during our visits, but hotel front-door security is excellent and pilfering from the rooms seems unlikely. The streets in the immediate proximity of the hotel may not be entirely comfortable in the later evening but, as explained in the hotel's advisory words, official taxis are very safe and it costs only $2-3 to take a taxi from anywhere in the city centre to the hotel door.

• Gail (9/5): Staying at Casa Carolina was a highlight of our Santa Marta visit because it was so comfortable, relaxing and welcoming. - We loved the open airy feel to this beautiful hotel. The renovations of this heritage building were very efficiently and tastefully done. Although the pools are small, just seeing and hearing the water, especially across from the restaurant was wonderfully refreshing. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, very handy and well equipped. Breakfast offered a wonderful variety, both in the buffet and from the menu. Our one lunch in the dining room was especially delicious, with service at all times pleasant and prompt. Coffee and tea available in the dining room at all times was a really nice touch. The cleaning staff and receptionist were very accommodating, going out of their way to be helpful. On a quiet street (not always the tidiest street), it was within easy walking distance to the malecon, to interesting restaurants and several tourist attractions. It is hard to think of anything that we didn’t like.

Un petit cocon de fraîcheur avec ses nombreuses piscines et sa végétation. Les différents hébergements sont bien repartis, pas de sensation d'être les uns sur les autres. Nous avons eu l'occasion de séjourner dans le seul appartement de l'hôtel. Très bon hébergement avec ses 3 terrasses (juste un peu bruyant). Excellent petit déjeuner ! • Pietro (8/5): Ottima struttura, peccato la zona. - La struttura è molto bella, uno stile particolare. La piscina centrale è un buon punto per rilassarsi e offre la possibilità anche utilizzare il servizio bar. Staff super disponibile con cui è possibile organizzare le escursioni o altro. La posizione non è delle migliori, l'ingresso da su calle 12 una via sporca e piena di tossici/barboni che ti importunano quando esci. Non è presente un ascensore per i bagagli pesanti.

Even better this time, with the two storey glass-encased suite on the top of the building. Handily placed too for a short stroll into the central area of town, with its plentiful places to eat. Not a problem for us, but be prepared for lots of stairs if you have one of the upper rooms

Water was wat aan de koude kant maar wel lekker om te relaxen. Zeer ruime kamer met mini koelkast. Geen lift als je op 4 hoog zit, met bagage en koffers best pittig. De straat is niet zo prettig en hygiënisch (pis en zwervers) toch op loopafstand van het centrum om te eten.

Het zwembad is leuk maar ligt in de schaduw...klein zwembad op 5e verdieping in de zon. Veel zitplekjes aanwezig. Wij zaten op de 3e verdieping dus veel traplopen. Het bed was niet geweldig, gaf een bonkend geluid elke keer bij in en uitstappen. De airco kregen wij niet goed afgesteld. Er was te weinig ruimte voor een tafel en stoel.

• Birgit (8/5): - Die Kurzform: - Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption - Schöne Architektur des Hauses - Zimmer teils düster - Frühstück gut, sehr guter Kaffee Die längere Beschreibung: Wir haben uns zu einer sehr kurzfristigen Buchung entschlossen, und standen 45 Minuten nach der Buchung an der Rezeption. Der freundliche Mitarbeiter nahm uns nett und Empfang und wir konnten direkt auf unser Zimmer. Das Zimmer wirkt etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ist aber sauber. Leider war in der ersten Nacht auf einer nahegelegenen Dachterrasse eine Techno Party, deren Musik bis mindestens 4 Uhr herüberschallte. Wir fragten am nächsten Tag an der Rezeption, ob das in der Folgenacht auch zu erwarten wäre - und bekamen sofort ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Das ist ein Superservice!!! Wir entschieden uns das Angebot anzunehmen. Leider war das andere Zimmer nun sehr dunkel, feucht und moderig. Im Bad schimmelt es an verschiedenen Stellen. Die Lage ist eigentlich toll, allerdings ist die Umgebung sehr dreckig, Obdachlose haben dort ihre Schlafstätte. Zimmer wirken schon etwas veraltet. Ersatzraum war dunkel, feucht und moderig mit Schimmel im Bad. Die nicht einfache Situation, wenn man das Hotel verlässt.
