Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (8/5): - Cortecito Inn is a wonderful hotel. The property is so well kept, clean and safe. The rooms need a little bit of renovation because it’s older but we love it and will go back again.
- MARIA (2/5): - The property has potential, there was no phone in the room, the bathroom wouldn’t flush . I had to open the back of toilet and flush myself . On July 7th 2025 there was a blackout there was no light or water. No one at front desk, no one reaches out to the guests . I had to go outside and ask the locals , the reception never asked if anyone was okay. The blackout was for over 2 hours. I don’t recommend this place, dirty bathroom, the faucet was disgusting and rusted.
- VANESSA (6/5): - Dated convenient bed and breakfast. Noisy area. Next door restaurant ended Karaoke at 2 am. Had no hot water, but bed and sheets were clean. Convenient free parking. Beach is across the street behind the stores. Refrigerator and air conditioner ar very old. Internet access only at lobby. Good for a quick stop ot to spend one night. Captain Hook restaurant is really good and located acroos the street from hotel. Breakfast is decent.
- Wander63432342483 (2/5): The hotel must be renovated as soon as possible!!! - Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was a real ordeal for us. I don't know what year the hotel was built, but it needs a complete restoration. If you want to immerse yourself in the era of Sherlock Holmes, then this hotel is for you! The furniture is so old... the rooms are not renovated, the sewage system is terrible... the water in the bathroom is up to your knees when you take a shower. Guests cannot stay in such conditions, I don't know what the sanitary and epidemiological service is looking at, but this hotel needs to be closed for a complete restoration!
- O4906BNrosag (2/5): worse hotel!!! - It's the worst night of my trip, our plane left us and we went there for a taxi driver, it's the worst hotel if you can call it a hotel, it looked like a horrible seedy place, the shower didn't work, they don't provide anything to bathe and the doors to the balcony didn't close the broken curtains, it's a seedy place,,,,,
- Moises (10/5): - Great
- Andres (2/5): - If u want nice vacation time just don't go to that Hotel.
- Jarmine (4/5): - Hotel is in very bad condition
- Jackeline Lopez (4/5): - I like just two persons that was nice while we was there, bartender and one guy that help us to find a good room. The persons in the counter no help us with our question because the director wasn’t available for give answer for our requirements.
- Jackeline (6/5): - Disorder in the requirements. No gentle with the persons just in the Pool Antonio is a best person with gentle to help.
- Reliegh (8/5): - During my stay at the hotel, there were a few cons but overall great. One of the issues we had during our stay was getting our shower to work, as it would keep turning on and off for us (I believe because other people were trying to use the water as well). Although half of our week stay, we didn’t have too much of a problem with it. The hotel is right next to the beach, it takes about 2 minutes to get there which is amazing. They also have mini markets, touristy stores, and many restaurants around that are great and convenient. The staff were super sweet to us during our entire stay as well as some of the local people near the hotel. The breakfast was amazing as well! Overall, the stay was pretty great.
- Tolu (8/5): - The property environment is great and in a great location, the beach is close to the property and other amenities for shopping e.g gifts, food and drinks etc.
The staffs are good and the place in good.
Although, the rooms needs to well taken care of as we had some difficult experience with the rooms and we have to change our rooms about 3times. First, we saw a lizard in the room with spider web, The TV of the second room wasn't working but we didn't have issues with that until the AC in the room stopped working. The 3rd room had issues with water not draining in the bath Tub. There is also no internet in the rooms.
Other than that, the place is nice.
- Yukie (4/5): - We were shown 3 different available rooms.. All 3 had snags:-Dirty floors, no light in bathroom, no cable TV, no wifi in rooms, toilets not flushing properly. And in the 3rd room, we had a water leak from the toilet.. We then decided to abandon the booking and left to a better hotel.
- Thomas (10/5): - Great facility, pool, little bar, air, and location. Rooms a little dated, but would stay again.
- Christopher (10/5): - I would stay again in the future.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bathroom needed updating however hotel was ok for a short stay
- SALVATORE (8/5): - Perfect close to the beach and restaurants.
- Luisa (10/5): - Good
- Celine (10/5): Very much recommended - The room was much better than in the old advertised images so that I have included an updated 2025 picture. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The cleaning ladies did a fantastic job keeping it bright and shiny all the time. The hotel had only 3 sunbeds for which there was fierce competition amongs guests. They bought 3 more on January 31rst 2025 for a grand total of 6 but they still need more. There is a restaurant on-site ran by the Pronel Family that offers super delicious food and drinks, wifi and super good music. No wifi in rooms though. Also many safety boxes in the rooms are out of order. The AC and fridge worked perfectly right. The hotel has the most superb and huge inner courtyard straight out of paradise. Again, the pictures advertised don't honor it enough. You will want to spend many hours there. When I talked to other guests, this is what they mentioned first about the hotel. The pool was clean and very pleasant, a few leaves here and there but that is a normal thing. Breakfast was good but should be earlier than 8 am. Finally the location was excellent, very central.
- Miguel (10/5): - Calidad precio estabien.
- dennis elmer (2/5): - THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! ONLY GOOD THING IT'S BY THE BEACH WHERE YOU CAN WALK OUTSIDE AND GET TO THE BEACH! THE REFRIGERATOR STOPPED WORKING AND THE GUY LIED AND SAID HE FIXED IT WHEN HE DIDN'T! DON'T STAY HERE! I'D GIVE IT A NEGATIVE FIVE STARS IF I COULD!
¡ESTE LUGAR ES HORRIBLE! ¡LO ÚNICO BUENO ES QUE ESTÁ JUNTO A LA PLAYA, DONDE PUEDES SALIR Y LLEGAR A LA PLAYA! ¡EL REFRIGERADOR DEJÓ DE FUNCIONAR Y EL TIPO MINTIÓ Y DIJO QUE LO ARREGLÓ CUANDO NO LO HIZO! ¡NO SE ALOJEN AQUÍ! ¡LE DARÍA CINCO ESTRELLAS NEGATIVAS SI PUDIERA!
- Daniel (2/5): - Ill start by saying i am not pretentious in the slightest. Me and my wife have traveled around the world twice staying in many countries .
This hotel was absolutely terrible. No hot water, no clean towels, no wifi , very limited english speaking staff. The rooms inside the property look like they were updated last in the 1960s. Lots of bugs.
Ill just be honest and skip to the point . If you stay here you are a fool and will learn first hand.
Do yourself a favor pay the extr money for somewhere nice or better yet go to Jamaica or something .
- Jacqueline (8/5): - Poor wifi, air conditioner was set on cold.
- JEANNETTE (8/5): - Good for one night only
- markus (10/5): Punta Cana Lovely Location - We loved our 8 day stay at this hotel which is just across the street from beautiful Bavarro Beach. The staff is helpful and friendly although they speak limited English. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel provides a basic breakfast, but seems to be more interested in their non hotel customers. Many great restaurants within 100 yards include Captain Cook and Anno which we requented. For souvenirs and gifts there are many shops which will way overcharge you, so offer 50% of what they ask for their usually non priced merchandise. There is a Russian owned souvenir shop very close to the hotel restaurant and in the same building that has the best listed prices.
- Pascual (6/5): - Close to the beach.
- Cassandra (6/5): - The property is
- Jennifer (6/5): - We’ve stayed here many times. It’s old, needs some love but still a great spot. If you are looking for the Hyatt this isn’t your spot. If you’re looking for a cheap spot to sleep after a long day of excursions that’s safe and have a real understanding of the DR this is a good spot. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired.
- Thu Huong (10/5): - The hotel is located in a very convenient area—next to a great seafood restaurant (Capitán Cook Restaurant), just steps away from a beautiful beach, and almost adjacent to a 3-in-1 resort hotel where you can enjoy luxurious days with their day passes. Even though the hotel was fully booked during our stay, it remained very quiet. We felt safe walking along the street at all times.
- Julio (6/5): - Ok
- Mayke antonio (6/5): Value for location and space - This is an old property in a great location, for those who want to stay steps from the best beach, Cortecito beach, bars, restaurants are walking distance, as well as shopping.
Kudos to javier at the front desk and the cleaning staff, all friendly and professional.
Rooms are huge, balcony/patio is great for views into the garden and the pool.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I can honestly say, if it wasn't for the old guy (abuelo) threatening to shoot me--because I had woke him up from sleeping. ..I'd give it a better rating. There's something about checking out early, so you can make a flight on time--then have a delusional old man pull a gun on you!
He told me I didn't pay for my last day. This was really stupid
- Ronell (8/5): - The property was amazing. Only downside is that the bathrooms need to be renovated! Convenient location, food options, free breakfast, beach, shopping and amazing staff.
- Missy (10/5): - I’ve been coming to this hotel years now after staying in some all inclusives in the surrounding area. I much prefer here were you get a better more authentic view into the Dominican lifestyle than being cooped up in an all inclusive. The rooms are pretty basic but you don’t go on holiday to stay in your room, they’re cleaned everyday to a high standard of some of the most amazing women I’ve met. The reception and management staff have always a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and will resolve any issues you have quickly and efficiently no problem. The hotel itself is surrounded by a treasure trove of restaurants and stores where you can get some of the best cuisines and dine on the seafront as Bavaro beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world is directly across the road from the hotel.
Adjoining the hotel is its own restaurant where you can get a very good breakfast included with your stay free and then purchase meals and drinks throughout the day too, they also provide pool service if you ask.
The pool is the die for too and if your lucky you’ll get to take full of advantage of it to yourself often and the grounds boys are all amazing too.
I reallly recommend it here,I’ll be back again too!
- Ashdude1978 (10/5): A taste of paradise away from the wotld of resorts - Fantastic location, friendly staff, beautiful gardens, big rooms & balcony, tasty breakfast included…. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby, poppy transport is the way to move around. The pool for children and adults. If u like to play football, theres a pitch
- Varun (2/5): -
"I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, the receptionist seemed unfriendly and unhelpful. Despite the hotel being empty, I was told there were no rooms available.
During my stay, I had an accident near the pool and injured my foot on a glass piece which went right in my flip flops. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't have basic first aid supplies or apologize for the incident.
The room lacked essential amenities like toiletries, and the pillows were uncomfortable, moodily, dirty and had a mildew smell. The bed sheets appeared unclean, and the air conditioning wasn't working.
I had a difficult time sleeping due to the unpleasant odor and began feeling unwell. Although the staff changed my room, the air conditioning still didn't work.
I contacted Expedia about my issues, but they were unable to assist. Unfortunately, the hotel owner refused to refund my payment for the remaining nights and breakfast.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel to others."
This hotel will ruin your holiday. stay away.
- Christian (8/5): - I enjoyed my 3 nights at this property. The pool view was absolutely amazing even though there is not an ocean view. I paid extra for breakfast and it was wonderful. Unfortunately, there were a few things that I did not like, such as the WiFi only working in the lobby. The balcony sliding door not being able to close or lock. They did not provide wash cloths. Other than that, it is an awesome hotel.
- eufemia (10/5): - Friendly staff aand area locals are friendly. Super cool morning breakfasts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): great location - great location. and good breakfast
- Kiera (6/5): - Omg I don’t have enough characters to give a detailed review as it cutt me of at 1500 and I still had plenty to say. I will try to sum it up. The food is TERRIBLE! The grounds are below average. AM staff are nice. PM staff are not that great. Rooms are dirty with mosquitoes. Dusty, and smells clean surprisingly. Wi-Fi doesn’t reach all rooms . Our tv had no reception. The other guest played music loudly until about 2am but it was fri, sat night. They came to clean the room daily by clean I mean make beds, take trash, replace toilet paper. They didn’t mop or wipe anything down. They didn’t have a do not disturb sign. I didn’t like the room but for the price I didn’t mind all the downsides. I asked to change rooms but I was told there weren’t any that could accommodate me and my children. If you don’t speak Spanish you will be a little irritated with communication inside and outside resort. There was some staff in the morning that spoke English but at night it’s a different story. 3 minutes from beach! Overall I love the location and the room served it’s purpose I only wanted somewhere to sleep, for the cheap price I paid I didn’t expect Buckingham Palace. The area seems a little unsafe but we had no issues , we were only there 3 days tho. I would probably go here again but I would for sure take what ever cleaning supplies I could bring. I hope that I’m able to post my video and pictures i took.
- Penelope (10/5): - 👍
- Carl (8/5): - Property is older but nice quiet and relaxing stay. Had no cold water at the bathroom sink but only used hot anyway. Some cleanlines issues but management addressed them on the first day of our 9 day visit. Loved the fact it was right in the middle of great beach and restaurant options. Restaurant was excellent very good value for the money
- Mariela (8/5): - It is good for the price rate. The room was spacious, it had a nice pool, I was able to check in as soon as I arrived from the airport, although it was early, the breakfast was included and it was very good, it is walking distance to a very nice beach, restaurants, shops and travel tour agencies and it was easy to access transportation around the area. It is not for anyone too picky but if you are a backpacker or enjoy traveling in a budget, it is a good option. I would stay there again.
- Marilyn (8/5): - This is an older property so there can be aging issues but we were quite pleased overall. Rooms are spacious and clean with lovely balconies. The grounds and pool are kept up nicely, and the beach is just across the street. The staff are friendly and usually helpful. Breakfasts are included and are pretty good. We have stayed there twice now and would return. It would be nice if they provided face cloths and 2 towels per person. Jam or butter for toast would be better than dry toast.
- Penelope (4/5): - Ok
- Shoshana (10/5): - A quiet sanctuary in the heart of Punta cana Beach
- Christina (10/5): - I loved my stay at Cortecito Inn. I will definitely be back and recommending guests to come here.
Pros: the pool and bar is great (gracias Chris) , the property is well maintained and the proximity to the beach is amazing. It is literally right across the street which was a deciding factor in staying at Cortecito. Breakfast at the restaurant next door is fresh and filling for what is offered. The options are limited but delicious and service was attentive (gracias Daniel!) My room was spacious, bed and pillows were comfortable and it had a balcony, tv and a great AC. Also, checkout is on the later side which is wonderful and I was able to stay at the pool after handing in my room keys while waiting for my transportation to pick me up (gracias Javier!). Some good restaurants, convenience stores and a money exchange place are right across the street from Cortecito and as a solo traveler I felt safe in the area
Cons: The bathroom in my room needed some attention but nothing that would deter me from coming back. However, the fridge was so loud when connected, it could be heard from outside the room. I had no option but to shut it down because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with that noise. I brought it up to the attention of reception 3x and it fell on deaf ears. I was given the pretense that I would get my room changed and that never happened. Due to this I wasn’t able to bring food to the room nor keep my drinks cold.
Overall I had a great stay, thank you so much!
- Vivien Kay (10/5): - This is our third year staying here. It covers all that we need and want and at a very good price. All of the staff do an excellent job at their work. The breakfast is very good and enjoy talking with other guests over it. The beach is right across the street. Everything is very walkable and convenient.
- Roberto Jack (2/5): - Horrible rooms dirty moldy showers you should never stay here.
- Marley (8/5): - Great price and location. Great staff and property. Nice breakfast included. Large room with chairs, tables, fridge, balcony.
Buildings need updating... cracks in doors and windows. No sink plugs or face cloths. Only 1 towel per person. Nice pool. Overall really liked it and have rebooked for 2 weeks. Thanks!
- Meisam (8/5): - I was amazed by how beautiful the outdoor area was and really enjoyed the outdoor shower by the pool every morning. I loved staying in Cortecito, rooms were clean and comfortable altho the air conditioning was leaking a lot of water which the staff immediately offered me another room and I enjoyed the rest of my stay. Breakfast was also decent. The bathroom and the shower was a bit small for me (I’m 6’4) and can use renovations.
- Alissa (6/5): great for the price - For the price we paid was extremely happy with our stay. This hotel was a beautiful place in it's day, but it is older and neglected. That being said, it was a perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. The staff were helpful and the rooms were clean. Our air conditioner stopped working the first night but it never got hot in our room, the cement walls held the temperature. They switched our room the next day and gave us a nice upgrade to a room with a small kitchen. (room 4013) I would request this room again. The pool was lovely with lots of seating and shallow areas to sit and enjoy the water and sun. It was very quiet and we had the pool pretty much to ourselves the whole weekend. No fighting to get your chair in the morning :) The beach is right across the road from the hotel, through a line of stores and restaurants. There are quite a few restaurants close to be able to eat and also just hang out at while enjoying the beach. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel where breakfast is served. This included, fruit, eggs, toast, sausage, potatoes. Coffee, tea, juice. It's not great, but it's included..... Onno's across the street was our fav beach spot.
- Carrie (10/5): - Staff was very nice, polite and helpful. Nice pool, beautiful grounds and spacious rooms and balconies.
- Elisa (8/5): - Staying here was a pleasure I don’t speak Spanish at all Wanda made my experience amazing by helping me book my tours and get transportation etc.Breakfast was good the hotel is walking distance from the beautiful beach definitely gonna book in the near future thank you.
- Jennifer (8/5): - This property has a lot of character and charm. It has a real Caribbean feel. Totally unlike the muted, westernized hotels you may have in mind. We loved this hotel and would go back again. But, with character comes age. The hotel is far from perfect. A few examples; the light in our bathroom didnt work, our toilet was finicky, there was a leak from the bathroom sink which staff fixed, the wiring for the tv was hanging from the wall, it’s obviously been a used space. But, it’s clean, the gardens are cared for and the staff were kind, helpful and did not take anything from the room, including the money I left out for the cleaners. I had to hand it directly to them. The pool is nice as well. I also recommend that you add the free breakfast package. Breakfast is served at the restaurant each morning and is made to order. So fresh, hot eggs or omelettes for each guest. Which means it takes a little time but is worth it. They also have toast, sausages and good brewed coffee. Overall we really enjoyed our stay but just remember you’re booking an older hotel not a resort. If you like all inclusive five star resorts this won’t meet your expectations. If you like a more local experience and don’t mind rough edges you will love it here.
- ANGEL (2/5): - Sadly the photos do not honor the facilities, they are extremely neglected, old, broken, moldy, the bathrooms, the rooms are very old and neglected, surroundings such as the pool could not be used and were dirty all the time.
The surrounding were scary with people selling drugs and offering personal services, nothing safe, it was very scary to go out at night.
The only thing that was acceptable was the personal treatment of Javier from frontdesk who tried to apologize for all the inconveniences.
They changed my rooms on three occasions, the last time, the TV never had volume, you couldn't hear it.
The second time, the pole of the bathroom curtain fell silent and hit me on the head.
The first ones had leaks and air that were damaged and neglected
The stay was so terrible that I decided to move to another hotel at the second day.
Honestly, what I paid for my stay from December 15 to 20 is not worth it and they should refunded what was not used, since the hotel conditions forced me to move to another hotel and not be able to enjoy my scheduled stay.
I had to change my vacation plans, spend extra money and move ahead of time.
So sad about it.
Sincerilly

- melmary (8/5): - Muy bien todo
- JAVIER (10/5): Great Location! - Grat hotel, Srevice and Breakfast. and Location!!
- Ashley (10/5): - Perfect
- Lawrence E Herb (4/5): - The outside property and grounds were nice. The rooms although fairly clean needs to be upgraded. The staff was very nice.
- Eloy (6/5): - the bathroom needs to be improve , loocks like old and verry poor clean
- Sandy (10/5): - Javier and the other staffs were very professional. Will definitely go back.
- Miguel (10/5): - Excellent.
- Madelaine (10/5): - We really enjoyed staying here! It was a great budget option in Punta Cana.
- patrick (4/5): - We had no tv the whole time we were there and we ask about it everyday and they said they would fix it but did nothing and also my husband fell and they had nothing to help with it (band-aids )or gauze ,tape)
- Vivien (10/5): - We like the location. The breakfast is great. The gardens are well cared for, and the pool is nice. The beach is across the road through the shops.
- Connector68668097009 (8/5): Good value for the money -
Great spot for the well travelled. Very basic accommodations across the street from the beach in an old establishment with large rooms (some with kitchenets), very nice pool in a lush tropical garden. Very clean and well maintained. For approx $50/night with full breakfast included, this is a real steal in Punta Cana. The adjoining restaurant offers a full menu and the best spaghetti bolognaise we've had in a long time ($10). Many other nearby restaurants as well. First room we had had issues with the toilet and AC but was promply replaced.
Suggested improvements... A smile costs nothing and can make a world of difference in the perception of service levels. Also glasses in the rooms would be an inexpensive bonus.
- Gabriel (6/5): - The property is across the street from the beach, which was great. The hotel kind of sucked. No Wi-Fi unless you walked all the way to front desk to use in that area. The doors had spacing in them so mosquito’s were in room nightly. Had to buy spray. The shower curtains were torn and shower head sprayed everywhere. Tv didn’t work at all.
- Yvonne (2/5): - Oh my gosh!!!! Never ever ever stay here. This place should not be advertised!!!
Im not one for leaving bad reviews but my goodness. We made this reservation a month prior to check in date. ONE NIGHT ONLY! I informed the hotel we will be coming in after 11 pm. We had someone drive to the hotel to confirm the reservation.
When we go there, the paperwork was there but they had no room for us!!! He showed my husband a room and said that was all he had.
We were given a small fan since the air conditioning was not working. We could not open the windows because of mosquitoes. We still got eaten alive!
No warm water to shower. No shower head!!! Only a pipe.
The sliding door could barely open and close. I was stumped that a place like this would even be advertised. Honestly, we should get our money back!
- Angela (4/5): - This is not a good place to stay. Poor hotel condition and very limited food options around. Beach very deep so we walked every day 15 minutes to Corales Beach to spend the day around there.
- Carlanmcd (2/5): Nightmare trip - Please do not and I repeat do not stay here! I am incredibly disappointed that JetBlue would even have this establishment as a business partner at some high rates!!! It’s a literal hokey in the wall where taxis or tour pick ups could not find
Upon check in the ONLY bright spot was a young man named Jimmy who was also the only staff that spoke English greeted up with a smile and maintained that energy throughout our stay. Jimmy seemed to be the only one who cared and listed to the multitude of problems that presented throughout our stay
I was asked to give a government issued id for them to hold on to which I’ve never ever had to do before staying anywhere . Walking by the pool to our room I saw the pool which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years
Our room conditions had me floored. It looked like and smelled like a room from centuries ago. Everything was aged. The fridge had rust on the inside (disgusting). The balcony door was difficult to open and when I told staff there was no sense of urgency with ANYTHING. The AC did not work and we were in smothering heat
Now the bathroom… ha!! The tub was filthy. NO HOT WATER during our five day visit! Like NONE! I was told to have the water run for minutes which I tried to no avail. They also had no wash cloths NONE. We had to use bar soap smh horrible!! The view from the balcony was OK however within minutes i was swarmed by mosquitos. The breakfast is VERY basic. The neighborhood is not tourist friendly at all be very careful. There are some great restaurants surrounding though! The Wi-Fi did NOT work. Please do not stay here
- BENJAMIN (8/5): - 1st the TV and cable box didn't work, it took me hours to fix it. 2nd my other room didn't have remote at all and the front desk people didn't bring one after asked. 3rd- although the breakfast is free or included, they should do better. For the price is good, but I can't say it is 4 stars hotel.
- Yesenia (2/5): - Sucio mala atención y no hay agua caliente
- Kendell (6/5): Getaway - Clean grounds nice balcony from the room across the street from the beach plenty of restaurants and bars close by only issue was the hot water when I came bake late at night
- kattullus (8/5): Very good value, lovely garden - Stayed 10 nights after having moved from a rather dreadful "hotel" in Bavaro that cost almost as much as this one. Fine pool area surrounded by attractive buildings. Large well-furnished room with balcony. Cleaned every day. Good breakfast. Close to the beach. Unbeatable room price for this good hotel.
- Sam (6/5): - not hor shower evertday. my friends room wasnt cleaned for 3 days. tv didnt work. receptionist could not speak English. expectvu to dpeak Spanish
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not go there - Awful place. The biggest problem is Xavier, the man behind the reception desk. Never ask him for anything, he gets angry when he actually has to do some work. They also hold on to your passport despite your will. No wifi in rooms, mosquitos everywhere. And no, hotel is not on the beach.
- elizabethhB5170YI (8/5): Fantastic budget friendly option. - We have stayed here multiple times. It's a fantastic budget friendly option. The rooms have a fridge, safe and air conditioning. A very limited breakfast is included with your room. Pool and grounds are safe and very beautiful. There's security at the entrances. We would absolutely stay here again.
The only con is there's no hot water or water pressure in the morning and around dinner time when everyone is getting ready. We adjusted our schedule to accommodate but it was kind of an inconvenience.
- Rodrigo (10/5): - Muy buen lugar
- marc (8/5): nice, budget hotel - hotel was cool and across from beach. literally walk like 20-30 steps and you were at the beach. great value for the price.
- Alicia (8/5): - This property is cost-effective and very convenient to El Cortecito beach. It is only a few feet away from the beach, which is the main point for me. Also, very convenient to restaurants and bars. I plan to stay, again.
- Fabiola (2/5): - No hot water, AC control missing, management terrible. It was a mistake
- Johan (8/5): - Good hotel for a reasonable price
- Daniel (4/5): Mosquito Farm - I never got the remote for the AC despite asking twice, so I had to leave the window cracked for air. I was eaten alive by mosquitoes. So the next night I closed the window and was still chewed up.
The bathroom is very dated and you have to time your shower at the right point in the day or you’ll get no hot water whatsoever. 2 of the lights in the room were not operating so it was a dark setting.
It’s a shame they don’t make the rooms more comfortable or address the mosquitoes because the property is nice and it is located right across from the beach.
- Katherine (10/5): - This place is very special. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating. I am very pleased with the service.
- MARK (6/5): - The property was perfectly positioned directly across from the beach, restaurants and local markets. Breakfast was complementary in the mornings. The down side was that there was no WIFI in the rooms, and the water was cold in the showers. The staff made no attempt at resolving anything. There was no entertainment at night in this resort property. Local vendors begged heavily for you to come to their shops and buy their products which made me uncomfortable. I don't know if I would stay there again.
- Sameh (6/5): - Location: steps from the beach was great. Rooms are cleaned daily but little things such as making sure there are night lamps or that they work and that tv remote works is important. WiFi in rooms is almost non existent but works in lobby. Breakfast is definitely something they need to work on. Food is sparse, only a little is brought out in trays at a time making the guests hoard the little that is there and then others are left holding their empty plates and cups. It would be better for people to get individual plates from kitchen. Pool needs updating/cleaning. They could def charge more if they address these issues.
- Shaila (10/5): Hotel Cortecito is awesome! - Great hotel for the price. Awesome location - all the resteraunts and bars are just across the street. Very big property, well maintained, nice large pool, rooms have AC, fridge..and large bathrooms. Excellent stay, very nice place, I would be back.
- Iurii (4/5): - Everything is pretty old inside the room(toilet, shower, fridge)
They are not treat mosquitoes around the territory
So be ready for lots of bites at night
- Evelin (10/5): - Staff always went above and beyond to accommodate my stay. Breakfast was always amazing and Rafael at reception and security guard always pointed me(even walked me over) in the right way. Traveling alone as a woman and staying at Cortecito Inn, I felt more than comfortable and safe. The price was also more than fair.
