Guest Reviews
- Kyle (1/5): I did not get to stay and was fearful upon arrival and no one seems to want to reimburse me or address it at all for an - Nothing. I was billed and not able to stay and not being offered a refund for the issues. I had to arrive late and they were accommodating via message. Location not easy to find, not in a safe area, front desk person spoke very little English, they would not let me cancel nor are they willing to refund for a stay I did not get, it was filthy, it had a horrible smell, I felt unsafe, there were nearby gunshots, I was harassed by local element as I tried to get to the location, and the horror goes on. I’ve tried to get a reimbursement from the location as well as booking . com and NO one has reached out to me or made any attempts to rectify this horrible and stressful experience.

- Claire (10/5): - The motel was basic but clean and functional. The staff were helpful and the location is fine once you know the route to the bus stop.
- Jonathan (6/5): -
- Beres (3/5): Poor -
- Maxwell (8/5): Very good -
- Dallas (10/5): A quaint and comfortable motel in a wonderful location. - The motel was older but well maintained. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the overall environment was relaxing. We'd come to town to catch a cruise and it had been a while since we'd gotten away. Our stay was for only one night, but it was so relaxing and the owner and staff were so helpful, we would've loved to have a couple of +extra days just to enjoy a relaxing time in this quaint little motel. This will definitely be one of our stays whenever our travels take us to New Orleans again! The hotel was great, our timing wasn't. We had booked a cruise that happened to be near the end of Mardi Gras. The traffic was horrible, and we weren't able to get around in town, or to find our prearranged parking because of all the streets being closed for the parades. As a result, we almost missed our cruise. Next time, we'll pay more attention to the calendar.
- Karine (5/5): Memorable - The internet was excellent Bed made with metal sheeting and mattress covered in plastic so extremely noisy with any movement, bathroom door wouldn’t close.
- Catherine (10/5): I have nothing to complain about my stay. It’s worth my money. - The location is accessible to reach by Uber or taxi going to downtown. There’s not a lot of restaurants nearby.
- Felicia (5/5): You get what you pay for. - The rooms were clean and it’s affordable. In a sketchy part of town. The Uber driver told me that this is where the prostitutes hang out. Not sure if he meant the motel or just the area. Beds are hard as a rock.
- Parisnicole (6/5): Overall, it was a good stay. - The room was good. The area was quiet. The floor was extremely dirty. I had to wear flip-flops because my feet were extremely black from the floor. The water pressure was not good.
- P (8/5): It was good, but no option for food. Facility looks a bit scary and the location is also in outskirt - The online booking rate is higher. Book it directly by calling them. It's very cheap if booked at location. The ambience and location.
- Luke (7/5): Good -
- Rodolfo (3/5): Hotel did not have clean sheets on the bed. I would not recommend this place. - The clerks/staff were very good and helpful. The sheets were dirty. We had to request new sheets. Due to the uncleanliness, we felt uncomfortable there. The room was old and musty.
- Roy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (7/5): Good - I want a cheap, clean place, and that’s the place.
- Liam (7/5): Good -

- Kazuma (6/5): Pleasant -
- Steven (5/5): Passable -
- Brooks (6/5): New Orleans - Clean place and good price Very strange area and not easy to find
- Joanne (5/5): Disappointed! - The room was clean. WiFi and Cable connections were good. The microwave and refrigerator came in handy. The shower had good pressure. The location was sketchy and difficult to find. No amenities whatsoever except hand soap. A few fast food joints that were only open as drive through at 7pm.The "sitting area was about 4 x 5 in front of the air conditioning unit. Chairs were plastic stack type., those had to be used for luggage. Electrical outlets for charging not good, In order to use bathroom person on opposite side and to walk sideways. There was one overhead light, curtains needed to be open. This facaility was not what we expect when booking with Booking.com
- Renee (10/5): loved the hotel will stay there again and I highley recommend it - bed was super soft and comfortable the room was clean and roomy and the pillows was nice and soft restrooms was clean and spacious and close to several shopping centers and near the freeway and it was not noisey nice and quiet stay one of the beds had took up most of the space between the wall to get to the restroom but we managed to sqeeze through it and it wasnt a big deal
- Judith (8/5): Very good - Really clean room, modern furniture. There is a fridge and a microwave so that was handy. The neighbourhood is a little sketchy, but during daylight it's okay. There is a bus stop going downtown at 5 minutes walk
- Beachbound (8/5): Very good - One of the cleanest places along that stretch of town. It was a little rough area but never felt unsafe. They kept it very clean around the rooms and the room itself was clean. If you just need a place to sleep and then go it will be perfect. Room was very small and the bed sounded like a drum and wasnt real comfortable.
- Shereka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexis (8/5): Would highly consider staying again the next visit to NOLA area. - Incredible value for the proximity to downtown and cleanliness. Super quick check-in. The location was a little sketchy, but wasn’t as concerned with security due to the hotel layout. Only real issue was the thin flat metal bed trim around the bed footing. Just created a weird noise and was a weird choice.
- darylwi (6/5): It serves it's intended purpose - Wasn't sure what to expect here. I just needed something relatively cheap for a night and it was so expensive downtown. Based on the reviews that I thought were unbiased, I decided to give this a try. Obviously the worst thing about it really is location. It can be down right frightening even. Alone, under a bridge basically. I can see where people would be freaked out. No doubt I wouldn't bring family or a date here.
But the check in was friendly. The room was very basic but clean. I could park right outside my door. The A/C worked great. The bed was alright. I dare say comfortable although the sheets didn't exactly fit snug. I had a non-smoking room and I couldn't smell any major lingering smoke smell from any past use which is better than some other budget hotels.
Needless to say, this wouldn't be my go-to hotel, but now that I've stayed at it, I would definitely consider it as a backup hotel and if I were solo again. So I feel better about possible future stays. And it was nice that there was a nice bright lit and friendly Raising Cane's nearby.
I'm rating it average because that's basically what it is. It's a basic average motel and if you're expecting anything more than that, then you shouldn't be looking here.
- Quest49326233628 (2/5): Disgusting!!! - It was our last night in new orleans and only needed a place to crash before our 10 hour drive. We booked threw groupon so my girlfriend called to comfirm, but the guy hung up on her!! So i called and he answered the phone with "what do you want?" Seriously!?! So after a long night we make it to the room. NOT A GOOD PART OF TOWN!!!! once we arrived and seen the bullet proof glass for the front desk we knew it wasnt safe! BTW its also an hourly rate hotel, which just screams prostitution!! Once we entered the room we both looked around and immediately realized there was no way we were sleeping in that bed!!! When the cleanest thing in the room is the ashtray its time to leave!! So we head back to the front desk and tried to get the guys attention threw the glass but he was to busy on youtube to realize i was there. When he finally notices me he asks "what do you want?" I said "what do i want? I WANT TO CHECKOUT!!!! This place is terrible and I strongly suggest no one stays here!!!
- singleguyinminn (10/5): great value, clean, comfortable room - I have no complaints. The property is very well maintained. The carpet was new, the room very clean, the bed comfortable. There is a microwave and fridge in the room. The location is fine--it is about a half mile from restaurants, stores, etc. There is also a bus stop within 1/2 mile. It is about 4 miles from the French Quarter, so a good option for a much lower priced room if you're willing to drive a short distance and park. I had no trouble finding free, on-street parking within a 10 minute walk of the French Quarter. The motel is in a very safe location. The wi fi was ok.
- AndrewL4470 (6/5): Not the best but better than expected - First thing that threw me was this place does not have a working phone number at least not one listed online. Second was the fact that it isn't in the best part of town. Overall though it wasn't bad. We had fresh towels daily and everything was clean.
- 408markf (6/5): Swings and roundabouts - This place was cheap. The staff are good. The rooms are clean. It has lots of parking and you'd pay twice as much for other hotels which are nearby. Compared to hotels in the centre of New Orleans, I paid about 25% of the price.
That's the positives (and that price thing is a huge point in its favour) out of the way.
Speaking of out of the way - this place is a good $16-24 taxi trip from town and don't be surprised if your taxi driver can't work out how to get there. That last 200m is tricky - under a couple of overpasses and over a railway line. Make sure you know which exit on the freeway the driver needs to use. I think my drivers missed it three times out of six. There is a nearby express bus that, at its faster, was 15 mins from me leaving my hotel room to getting to Canal St but can take 30 mins in heavier traffic. It is only $1.50 or so. Make sure you get an express bus which is at the traffic lights outside the Dixie-whatever supermarket.
The area is rough. Very rough. Homeless, mad people with trolleys talking to themselves, abandoned buildings, beggars, the smell of stale urine, litter in the streets. The whole kit and kaboodle. I wouldn't walk here at night, I got a taxi to the hotel from the city every night.
I wouldn't take the missus/girlfriend here. Me by myself? Yeah that's my choice and my risk.
- ginnys20 (6/5): Just a place to sleep - It was clean but not anywhere I would want to stay for multiple nights. It is a just passing thru kind of place. We did not have a vehicle and only a handful of places delivered. The only thing you could see from the room was the interstate.
- MisSassyC (2/5): Worst experience ever! - Well 1st, it's very far from downtown & located next to a highway. I got to know that you could take an express bus to get downtown in 20 minutes but it doesn't run through the night.
Now the thing that made me leave the next morning tho I booked for 3 nights was the biggest cockroach I seen in my life!!! It was crawling on the wall by my bed. When I called reception the lady said: well ma'am just open the door to let it out. REALLY?!! The manager was laughing cuz I ran to the office. That's not funny, I kept saying. Since it's was late night & I'm traveling alone, they changed my room but soon as I got in, I couldn't sleep & I started looking for another place.
- valerie975 (6/5): Better than it looks - We booked this site on the internet not knowing anything about the district. At first sight the motel looks as though it needs a bit of care and attention but our room was clean and it had a fridge, microwave and free Wi-Fi. There was daily room servicing, fresh towels, etc. There is a bus service into town at 75 cents for seniors and with the transfer ticket that will get you to town and a ride on two cable cars out to the French Market, very good investment. There is a grocery store and some restaurants/take away food places within five to ten minutes walk. We were lucky enough to meet up with another occupant of the motel who knew an enormous amount about how to see New Orleans, it added so much to our visit. At a budget price this is very good value for money but we were later warned that it is not the best end of town. In the daytime we felt perfectly safe but coming back from town at night we took a taxi to the door at $20. We had to leave early in the morning to catch the bus and we talked to the manger about a taxi and in the morning he made the call and then told us when it was 15 minutes away, excellent service. So consider if you pay $20 more than the room price, would you be in a motel/hotel where you could safely walk back from a night on the town!
- 980tracia (6/5): Enjoyed our stay! - My husband and i needed a quick get away and we were on a budget. I'm more of a thrifty shopper trying to get more for little money..we are here in the second week of march..so the rates are great..i booked online however and payed about 230 ( downtown this price is for one night) for 3 nights. and it equaled to about 260 give or take with taxes.when i arrived one of the hotel staff members wasn't aware that i had a reservation and said the room was 60 a night for a king. the same room i book online..face palm! it was too late to cancel the online reservation. At first appearance of the motel i was concerned about safety and i asked the front desk attended he assured me that they do not have problems because they have security 24 hours..and he said but if you want,i will put your room near the front of the motel for you... The staff is helpful and the room was clean! bring your own toiletries. the room has a small fridge and microwave.. there is a market in walking distance.. the bus takes you downtown and a very nice man,who lives at the hotel will bring you home at night for 20 dollars..being from the suburbs, i love useing public transportation when on vacation! The staff was very helpful. with directions and any questions we had. free wifi, free parking.my husband and i had fun..it's not the Ritz carlton but it gets the job done..
