• Fernando (10/5): - Riquísima experiencia! Desde el lugar en si, la atención y sus instalaciones hacen de esta estadía una muy buena experiencia. Los jardines de la hacienda bien cuidados e ideales para recorrerlos, sentir la naturaleza y perderse dentro de la hacienda Ambiente tranquilo, la habitación linda!! muy acogedora, amplia y limpia La atención de todo el personal 100 puntos Y el tour por la hacienda y la explicación del manejo del henequén no debe perderse Definitivante regresaría en otra ocasión
• Gabriela Yvette (8/5): - En general muy bien.. El personal es lo mejor de la hacienda, todos son muy amables. Las instalaciones bien, podría estar mejor en cuanto al mantenimiento. Tuvimos problemas con el wifi que nos complicó un poco la estancia y no se pudo resolver a pesar de notificarlo en varias ocasiones.

• Sabrina (8/5): - Schönes Anwesen mit eigenen Cenoten. Fahrt mit dem Maultierkarren zur cenote war hervorragend. Personal durchschnittlich freundlich, jedoch leider ist hier niemand auf Kinder eingestellt. Das war schade. Ponys sind frei auf der Weide, das ist schön. Esel im Gehege. Für Kinder sind die Tiere interessant. Insgesamt eine entspannte Atmosphäre auf der Hacienda. In den Wohnhäusern jedoch viel Tierkot, vermutlich auch durch das undichtere Palmenblätter Dach viele Krabbeltiere.

• Jordan (2/5): - We arrived in Mérida on Nov 24th for the wedding of my girlfriend’s cousin. We have been looking forward to this trip and had high hopes for our stay at Hacienda Viva Sotuta De Peon. Upon arrival we immediately knew we were going to be disappointed. The resort was lacking in cleanliness, safety, and organization. To start, the walk to our hut was completely pitch black and unsafe with no lighting to guide us anywhere. Secondly, we noticed that there were absolutely no guests on the resort which made us very weary of staying there being from a different country. Getting into our room we were met with an unpleasant smell, mosquitoes flying about in the room, and bugs in the bed which we did document because of how horrified we were. After some conversations, we decided it was unsafe to stay there and began to make arrangements to leave the resort, which was almost impossible because even at 6 in the evening we were told there was absolutely no means of transportation available to us. We felt scared, completely isolated with no options. We were finally able to arrange through family for a taxi company to come get us and when we were trying to leave they were out front attempting to make us pay for an entirely second room because they double booked us when we had already paid our room in full. Security was attempting to tell our taxi driver we had a “debt to our name” until we had to plead with the manager that this was a mistake. Horrible experience overall.

• cesar (8/5): - Hacienda bonita, con sus 30 cabañas bien distribuidas para tener privacidad. No se percibe mucho movimiento de huespedes. Incluye el desayuno y cena, solo estuve durante los desayunos. Empleados atentos a los requerimientos solicitados. No hay television ni telefono en el cuarto para comunicarse a recepcion. Lugar hecho para desconectarse totalmente y todo y de todos. El pueblo Sotuta muy chico y no hay absolutamente nada que ver o comprar. Tiene alberca y palapa agradable. Recomenadable para unas 3 noches maximo. Hay que rentar o llevar carro porque no hay manera de moverse fuera de la Hacienda.

• Octavio (8/5): Cuando vayas checa que no halla boda ese mismo dia - La hacienda muy bonita con mucha historia, el recorrido del henequén interesante. Lo malo fue que había boda y es demasiado ruido toda la noche hasta las 4 am no te deja dormir

Entiendo que esta a la mitad de la nada, pero lo amenities deberían ser mejores y atención en todo momento en la alberca (Al menos toallas) Por otro lado, la atención en los restaurantes (2) es muy buena y la cena es ESPECTACULAR, en particular el Pescado a la Veracruzana.
• MONICA I (8/5): - Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y con lo necesario, sin embargo el servicio en la Alberca, es bastante malo, tienes que estar buscando a alguien para que te atienda y te puedan llevar algo de tomar, no vuelven a aparecer una vez que logras que te hagan caso, al dia siguiente en la alberca, seguían las toallas que usamos el día anterior encima de los camastros y los vasos sucios de las bebidas que nos llevaron. Para desayunos y cenas el servicio si fue bueno, en el restaurante para comer, no malo pero tienes que estar pidiendo varias veces las cosas. Los alimentos son buenos. El tour me pareció bastante bueno, el cenote muy bonito.

The towels had dirt and bugs on them (not a lot, just a little, but this is what you wipe your clean body with). The breakfast and restaurant was amazing, great food and great view. I think if they fixed up the rooms to be better, it would have been a much better experience. Especially since this is a more expensive reservation.

Lo mejor es que hay un tour dentro de la hacienda ya que es un Museo vivo y al final se puede nadar en el Cenote que esta dentro de la misma Hacienda.

• Angelika (10/5): Tolles, etwas abgeschiedenes Hotel - Für die Abgeschiedenheit ist die Auswahl für ein Abendessen zu klein, zumal erwartet wird, dass man viel konsumiert. Das Essen selbst ist köstlich, allerdings mag der Europäer vielleicht nicht unbedingt Hühnchenbrust mit Zimtsosse. Vielleicht hätte es auch eine allgemeinverträglichere Und doch auch mexikanische Variante gegeben. Eine Ablehnung mag das Personal nicht und lässt es einen dann spüren. Ansonsten alles sehr empfehlenswert und die Leute im Grunde freundlich.
• Mauricio (10/5): Historia Viviente - Ya habíamos visitado con anterioridad esta hacienda, pero solamente para almorzar o hacer el tour. En esta ocasión decidimos pasar una noche para vivir la experiencia del hotel y no nos defraudó porque aunque la parte del hotel es relativamente nuevo, el concepto de habitar construcciones típicas mayas con toques refinados complementan la experiencia de revivir el pasado de una típica hacienda henequenera. A los que ya hayan visitado otras haciendas de la región y les han explicado el funcionamiento de una hacienda, les recomiendo plenamente que visiten la Hacienda Viva Sotuta de Peón, pues ahí conocerán el proceso antiguo y moderno del Oro Verde como se le llamaba al Henequén. El actual dueño de la propiedad se esforzó por encontrar, comprar, transportar y armar la maquinaria que se utilizaba en otras partes del mundo para procesar la fibra de henequen en los productos finales. En resumen, el tour en si es una gran experiencia y complementada con habitaciones refinadas, con un par de restaurantes con buena comida típica de la región hacen que el viaje valga la pena. La Hacienda Viva Sotuta de Peón es Historia Viviente.

• Celia (10/5): El lujo del hotel hacienda en medio de la selva - Las instalaciones son increíbles: jardines espléndidos, piscina grande y atractiva, y habitaciones deliciosas, especialmente las que tienen piscina privada. La rusticidad del hotel es aparente porque cuenta con todas las comodidades. El personal es amabilísimo y dispuesto a solucionar cualquier dificultad. La cocina es muy buena y su barman estupendo. Es un placer estar lejos de la ciudad, sin televisión, pero buen servicio de internet. Todo invita a la relajación.

Vor der Türe zwei Schaukelstühle und Hängematten und auch ein eigener kleiner Pool. Zum Zimmer wurden wir mit eine Pferdebahn gebracht. Unbedingt die Führung machen, sie ist einfach super. Frühstück dauert ein wenig, aber in Ordnung - Mexiko ist halt ein wenig anders. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis. Das Haupthaus der Hacienda kann man im Rahmen einer Führung besichtigen. • Fabian (8/5): Un increíble experiencia al pasado en la Hacienda - Fue súper relajado y ambiente agradable ! El personal muy atentos . No había casi nadie teníamos el hotel casi para nosotros. Lo que si falta es que no hay nada alrededor , que tengan por lo menos una tiendita donde vendan snacks, comida , bebidas ,cigarros etc.. Porque ya a las 9.15 pm cierran el restaurante y no hay ni room service más a esa hora . Y hay que salir a los pueblos cercanos para buscar si hay algo por allí.! Eso si falta ! El resto fue súper bien ! Nos pasearon para el cenote que tiene el hotel .. Con él truck que pasaba alfrente de nuestra cabaña !! Los recomiendo mucho ir! Si te gusta la tranquilidad !! En 40 min estás en Mérida si quieres conocer la vida nocturna o en el día a pasear .

• Pete (10/5): Great Experience! - The hotel and staff were amazing! They were attentive, polite, and always willing to help. After a few days we were looking to explore the area and find a nice place for lunch. One of the servers in their restaurant recommended a local place and gave us directions to find the place. It was amazing! We did not have a single issue. We were there in the off season, and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We had dinner there almost every night, and the chef was very accommodating. It was almost as if we had our own personal chef. The room was always clean (including a towel made into the shape of various animals left on our bed (a different animal each day, and we were there for 6 days). We had a room with a private pool, and the pool was always clean. Guest services was top notch. The front desk helped us arrange a car for a wedding we had in downtown Merida. The car stayed with us the entire night, and was happy to drive us home after the reception (35-40 minute drive). All for a very reasonable price. The tour of the working hacienda was a great time. The tour guide was enthusiastic, and spoke fluent english. For someone who is looking to stay in a resort, and be able to explore the countryside, this place is perfect!
