Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No wifi, no soap or shampoo. Be sure to pack it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cabin 11A was perfect for two adults. Very clean and quiet.
- John (10/5): Unique cabin experience - The prefabricated cabins were clean, comfortable and modern. It was a delight to stay at Crystal Isles RV resort. The staff was caring and understanding and the accomodations were excellent.
- Jane (4/5): - would not recommend this”resort” staff very unorganized and try to charge extra for things already broken in cabin I recommend doing a walk through with staff to avoid extra charges
- William (8/5): - The only thing I found out was they give a 20% military discount and nobody told me about it. I am a retired senior master Sargent
- Jessica (10/5): Great place for your money. - We came here for scalloping season. We rented the 2 bedroom camper. We rented it for a week. This place was amazing. The young women running the front desk was amazing as well as the manager. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Foto's geven geen goed beeld van accomodatie. - Chalet is oud en bij slechter weer blijft water overal op het terrein staan. Twijfelen eraan of er sowieso wordt schoongemaakt.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great for the price.
- Verified traveler (6/5): The Room Description is Inaccurate - It seems like the issue here is partly with Travelocity description, mostly with the hotel. According to Travelocity we booked a "mobile home" that had two bedrooms, 2 Queens and a pull out sofa and kitchen. The image from Travelocity was one of the camping cabins with a loft. According the the campground, we booked a tow behind travel trailer.
Yes, it had a kitchen which was adequate for our needs. The biggest issue was the bedding arrangement. These were not queens, and I'm not even sure they were a full full size bed. On top of that, they weren't mattresses, they were travel trailer foam pads. Add to that that the trailer wasn't quite level and the head of the bed was lower than the foot so we had to sleep backwards. No real big issue...except at 6' either my feet hit the headboard, or my head was only half on the mattress. Even when you look at the website for Crystal Isles, the trailer we now know we book indicates 2 queens.
The bathroom was a typical travel trailer bathroom on 1/2 scale. Pump toilet, 2x2 shower. Again, adequate but it didn't match the description.
The "large deck" was about 4x4 at the base of the stairs, certainly not a deck worth including in a description. The cabins had a deck, not the trailer. The campground took too much of the previous information and tried to apply it to this unit and it just isn't accurate.
So why stay? We had plans in the area and no other options. Not horrible, just inaccurate.
- Verified traveler (2/5): This place sucks!!! - This place is absolutely ridiculous they want a $500 deposit that they won't even refund you until a week after you check out!! I will never stay here again!!!!
- Henry (2/5): What a horrible place - I called ahead to verify that i could check in later .The staff said they would have my papers waiting at the front in a folder .Around 5:40 I received I call from the lady's upfront. She ondicated that she would be leaving and I would have to write down A number to the on duty person to call.I told her I would be there before 6pm and she said she wouldn't be there and I had to write down the number .Tried telling her it was pouring down raining and i would be there before 6.She got really mad and said hope you can figure out the number yourself. When I arrived there before 6 she was still there and informed me that I wouldn't be getting a key .Also stated she would have me A key before I woke the nexted morning .I decided to leave that Saturday instead of waiting until Sunday .This place seems to be a complete ripoff and I suggest the management staff to look over there staffing oncerns .Also if you going to fish and wantto dock your boat .There is no parking and you have to park at your RV or Cottage and walk back .What A wasted weekend .Thanks
- Dan (6/5): MLK Weekeend/Manatee art Fest - The staff was not very friendly; upon check in we were told that there was a $150.00 security deposit. When asked about what it covered? We were told it was in case we did any damage and if we did not do any damage it would be returned. Then I was given only one key and told if we lost it there was a $75.00 key replacement fee. That’s what a lock smith would charge to change the lock in some places. Then you are handed a list of rules which were a little veg. The room was clean and had towels and the bed was a full size bed. By the way, the duplex only has asmall shower/tube and commode. You use the kitchen sink to cleanup. It’s a camp site, not the Hotel Suites. Now, going to check out the next day. We get another person. Again no hello, even a smile, or good morning how was your night? We check out and are told that in 3 days you will get your deposit credited to your credit card. I did not even get a receipt at first, I had to ask for that. I say need a course in HOSPITALITY. Well we were with friends and that was all that mattered. All I can say is good luck.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The cottages were cute and cozy. We had a great time enjoying the activities on site: swimming, shuffleboard, horshoes, etc...
