- Olivia (9/5): Friendly staff and spacious room - Convenient location and very spacious room. Onsen is good yet it is quite small. Staff is very good and very responsive to my request. We were late in arrival ( almost 9:30pm) and the staff has been waiting for us without any complaints. Very friendly and polite staff. Breakfast mainly in Japanese stye so I did not have many choices.

The laundry did not come with a dryer, and you had to pay extra for hanging rack and as the clothes didn't dry next day and to use hairdryer to dry

- Verified traveler (10/5): 遅いお正月休み - 年明け恒例の友人との旅行で 初めてお邪魔致しました。遠出はせずに近場で…と思い 交通費分、宿泊費を奮発?してこちらなホテルに…と思い、宿泊させて頂きました。宿泊費以上の配慮とサービス。御部屋も広々と眺めもよく感激致しました。御食事も どれも美味しく お正月の疲れが吹き飛びました。帰路につき、お友達が 「来年も今年と同じホテルが良いね。」と言ってくれたので 嬉しかったです。 良い思い出をありがとうございました。

- Jeannette (10/5): A bit of a splurge, but well worth it! - This is a lovely old property, very close to the entrance of the Kompira shrine. Our Japanese-style room was large and comfortable, and we were delighted with the bath facilities. Dinner and breakfast and a welcome cocktail all were included and the meals were truly excellent. Highly recommended. We drove to the hotel and found it hard to find the entrance. Some signs aimed at foreign visitors would be helpful.

- Terumi (10/5): - 第一にスタッフの方が皆笑顔で、とても親切でした。観光についても気さくに助言頂き、美味しいうどんを食べることができました。 部屋のベッドはセミダブルで広々と寛げ、シーツも高級感がありました。 大浴場も脱衣所を含め清潔でした。 ご自由にお使い下さいとポリ袋が置いてあり、濡れた物や着替え衣類を入れるのに大変助かりました。 夕飯の際は、醤油が美味しいと伝えると、使用している醤油を実際見せて下さり、帰りに売店で購入したのも良い思い出です。 ホテルの立地が金比羅山上り口に面していたのも、辛い所業を成し遂げれたメリットの１つだと思います^_^ 駅までの送迎を快くして頂きありがとうございました。

- Denise (10/5): Top Notch Stay: View, Room, Restaurant, Staff, Location - You won't find better! - Perfect location less than a minute from the stairs to the shrine. Only a 10 minute walk to the train. Loads of shops line the stairs. The hotel itself was exceptional: staff, facilities, onsen, restaurant, room - all were absolutely top notch. One of our best stays in Japan! They do offer the free use of a washing machine, which was lovely at the end of our 10 days of hiking, but no dryer, meaning our laundry was hanging all over the room which detracted a bit from the serenity of the experience.

- Ming (2/5): Not value for money - It was close to the major sightseeing place. Free parking. The dinner was very bad. The sashimi did not cut well and not fresh enough. The beef was dry and very hard to bite. The rice dish was premade, cold and unappetizing. The dessert was an ice cold ice cream where I cannot even cut it through with the spoon. It took time to wait for the ice cream to defrosted. I expected more for a dinner if it charged so much for a stay. The staff served us in the dinner was annoying. She kept talking to / asking us when it was obviously that we can only speak very limited / no Japanese, and when we just wanted to eat. When we needed her to give us the dessert, she was talking to another table for a long time. It was a very unpleasant dinner where I was not expected if I paid so much for a stay.

- NAOTAKA (10/5): 清潔で好感度高い！そしてうどんタクシー - 金毘羅宮に近いのと、驕らずきちっとサービスするホテル。しかも金丸座にも歩いてすぐなので、空いていれば満足度高い。連休に行くとやはりコミコミ。金毘羅参り、歌舞伎公演の時期は避けないと？？ 温泉がエレベーターすぐにあるのもなかなかだ。レイアウトが良いと感じた。リニューアルの時に熟慮して客とサービスの導線をきちっとしているのも好感度。 若い小さくて目がくりっとした若い中居さんも2日とも食事についてくれて、いろいろ教えてくれた。 何より、「うどんタクシー」を呼んでくれたのが良かった。香川県に11人しかいないそうだが、このうどんタクシーの前谷さんは元々会社を経営していたけれど、三年前からうどんタクシーを始めて、八代亜紀さんも乗せたことがあるのが自慢の団塊世代。楽しく話をしてくれた。 おまけに香川県のベスト3と言われる、「長田in香の香」「岡泉」「須崎食料品」と全て案内してもらった。 泊まった時に、本宮の上の奥社まで1300段以上登ったけれど、筋肉痛にならなかったのは、温泉のおかげだろう。 また、ここから石畳の上を歩きながら、鞘橋や、琴平駅などを歩いて回るのも、いいかと思う。
- MASAHIRO (10/5): 本当に満足しました。 - ホテルの規模は想像より立派で、また従業員さんの対応もとても素晴らしく、夕食朝食も満足でした。 立地が観光地のほぼ中心ということもあり、車で近づくには混雑や渋滞はしょうがないと思いますが、抜け道を使って渋滞を横断することもできたかと思います。そのあたりのアナウンスがなされていれば、完璧だったかと思います。

- KIRA (10/5): 食事は幾つか出来合いの物が並んでたので心配したが、全て美味しく頂けた - デザートのお入りの入った桜アイスまで文句なかったです。特にお刺身は新鮮で素晴らしかった。80過ぎた両親も少食のはずが、全て食べていました。蜜柑風呂の露天風呂も楽しめました。和洋室は八畳か10畳の和室にツインベットなので、3人でも問題ありませんでした。雨の後なのもありますが、部屋から雲海を堪能できたのは50年生きてきて、初めてでした。箱根や伊豆の高級旅館にひけをとらない、再訪したいと思えた宿でした。
