Guest Reviews
- Jon (8/5): - The room is fine. I did not like having to park my vehicle, offsite and walking even further to another hotel and go to their office to check into my hotel.
- julia (6/5): - The motel is what you would expect. Everything was pretty basic. Rooms are cleaner than I expected based on the outside of the building. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance.
- joyce (6/5): - The beds were horrible
- Toni (10/5): - Easy check in
- joyce (6/5): - The hotel needs new bedding and mattress
- DaLeon (10/5): - The pictures don’t do the room justice. I looks way better in person than in pictures. I can say I didn’t see a swim up bar attached or near the hotel so that was kinda bummer but fine bc it wasn’t necessarily swim weather. The bed was very comfortable. The manager stated that the hotel received new beds, which felt good. It was clean and I overall had a good stay. I would most likely stay there again. The location is right by everything but in a perfect space that you aren’t up all night hearing people party.
- Andrew (8/5): - Location was a little older and hadn’t been remodeled in a long time. Bathrooms were insulated as well with little ventilation. Great location near everywhere you could want to go on the island. Would stay again!
- David (4/5): - The bed was terrible
- Ben (10/5): - Very clean and close to everything we wanted to go to
- Rich (6/5): - It was quieter but still close to town
- Anthony (4/5): Disappointed - Bed was like they threw a fitted sheet over a box spring. Shower barely had enough pressure to wash yourself off. Floors would turn your feet black. And 2/3rds of the outlets for whatever reason would only work on one plug so you’d have to choose lighting or charging your devices. I get that you don’t spend much time in there, and the location is great, but for almost $300 a night it’s kinda ridiculous. Also the pictures show a pool which they don’t have. We were in room 14 FYI.
- Heather (2/5): No pool, No sleep, No coffee, but they’ve got kids - THE WORST!
The bed was a joke. I had springs in my back all night and my husband couldn’t move without springs popping. The board under the mattress did nothing except make us wonder what we were paying for.
The floor was so dirty we had to wash our feet before we put in our shoes. The shower floor and bath mat turned black from the dirt.
There was a coffee pot, but no coffee.
No front desk help to ask about cart rental. They closed and locked the office door the second we checked in and never opened it again. That of course was after we waited 10 mins for them to show up and check us in.
THERE IS NO POOL! The picture of the pool is a joke. They do not have one.
They claim to be adult only, but there are kids there. One little girl sat on the deck getting her hair braided while a little boy jumped on the bed behind her.
Worst stay ever!
- Sandra (6/5): - Need to replace mattress in room 14… it sucked!!!everything else was great!!
- Pamela (6/5): - Missing hair dryer… really inconvenient because no one was there to address the problem. We had an iron ??? But no hairdryer!! .. no one to talk to!
- Stacey (6/5): - No one came to leave clean towels any day we were at the hotel
- kailash (8/5): - Location of the property is good.
Pool is few blocks away, not good.
Parking facility is bad. All of the parking area is blocked by the golf carts, which is other business of them.
Luckily staff help me to get one parking spot available. Better to call them and ensure parking availablity before arrival.
- Philly (10/5): - Could not have been easier to check-in. Walkable to everything you need and the AC is awesome.
- Mark (8/5): - Floor was hardwood and appeared wet possibly from humidity..it left a black residue on feet and any items that were on the floor
.
- Yvonne (8/5): - It was perfect for our needs! Mattress could definitely be upgraded
- Ramteja (6/5): - Okay
- Teresa (10/5): - Hotel was convenient and clean. For tall people the showers are A+ with the shower head extra high. Same owners as the Commodore which is where the pool pictures are from. This is deceiving if you don't know. We knew.
- Juan (6/5): - Close to everything, I never see that staff, only when I check in/out
- Brandan (10/5): - the only way uu
- Justine (10/5): - Stayed here for a girls trip and it was so convenient to restaurants and bars. Check in process is quick and easy and they use a key code rather than having to keep track of a card. It does get loud in the courtyard at night but it really wasn’t a huge deal. Staff were super sweet and friendly. My friends and I plan to stay here again on our next trip.
- Charles (8/5): - Nice little place. But be careful....this place does not have a pool. Those pool pics are at a public bar/pool in town.
- Nick (10/5): - Rooms were pretty nice and the staff was very polite. Lady at the front desk was awesome and very knowledgeable of the area.
- Illise (4/5): - Over priced for the accommodations
- Ian (2/5): - Terrible
- Daniel (8/5): - Dirt and debris under beds. Low water pressure in shower. Surfaces not clean. No coffee.
- joseph (10/5): Great Time in Put in Bay - Fourth time to stay at Victory Station and we enjoyed again. Room was clean and well appointed. On site host was very friendly
- Astrid (6/5): - The pool was not close, no coffee maker in the room, the WiFi didn’t work (staff gave us a different network though which worked) and the walls were pretty patched up. Walls are thin, we woke up from the noise of a couple fighting loudly.
- Duane (8/5): - Very quiet. Good location.
- Larry (6/5): - It was ok, nothing special, no one to greet you for check in or say good bye for check out, everything done over the phone. no one to ask questions for help, had no where to park golf cart. 1 light burned out, 2 people in room only one chair to sit on.It was just ok.
- Ty (6/5): Limited Wi-Fi - Limited Wi-Fi
- Verified traveler (4/5): Tight Quarters - The floor was filthy, and the room was very small.
- Nicole (8/5): - Close to everything
- Verified traveler (4/5): - disappointing that we arrived at 5:10 pm and the office was closed....we had to stand out side in the pouring rain to call to get into our room and them to find there was no power.
Other places near by had power so not sure what was going on.
Mattress's are terrible. You will roll right off the side of the bed.
- Henry (8/5): Rearrang the rooms - Rooms could’ve been cleaner bed too close to the air conditioner the person on the outside froze then heated, frozen and heated
- Kirk (8/5): - Great location for downtown pib
- Mark (10/5): - This is a review about bot making it.
My flights were delayed and I didnt get there to use my booking.
The hotel checked in with me daily.
They held my reservation for the trip because I asked them to just in case i got there quicker
They kept me informed on how to get checked in and they were beyond friendly.
The way the handled it put me at ease when they could have added to the stress.
I appreciate all the effort they put into a non visit.
Thank You
Mark Skorvanik
- Meghan (6/5): Not bad for short stay - Great location. able to walk to all the hot spots.. rooms were clean. Beds not that comfortable, doable for 2 nights. Cable was awful, only had one channel and in came in and out. Internet signal poor, couldn’t use for iPad/phone.
- Steven (10/5): - Door to the room didn’t close all the way which made it very noisy trying to sleep, it sounds like people in room next to us were in the same room, beds were very uncomfortable
- morgan (10/5): - Great location!! Mattresses are very old but we were able to get in early and enjoyed our weekend!
- Jane (6/5): - Wanted to watch baseball in the evening but tv was not working. They said it would be repaired the day we left. Also, pool was at another hotel and there was no coffee machine in room. You had to wait until attendant opened up at 9am to get coffee downstairs in office.
- Robert (2/5): - Expedia failed miserably, we arrived at the hotel and they had absolutely no record of my reservation even after I showed them emails and text messages from Expedia along with confirmation number, very, very annoying. For future, I think I will just book directly with the hotels
- Therese (10/5): - Not a bad little place to stay. We weren’t there a lot. We were out and about in town. So it was perfect for what we used it for. Very close to downtown but quiet enough to sleep. We’ll be back.
- Stacy (10/5): - Very clean
- sue (6/5): - Good location however the pictures on the website made it look as if they had a pool but the pool was a few blocks away. The room was very small which was just okay. The room was not the cleanest..there was a used Q-tip under one of the beds. The beds were awful. I booked here because of the pictures but was disappointed. I could have stayed at a less expensive hotel and had the same experience.
- DENISE A (10/5): - Location was great! Staff was friendly. Rooms were a little dark.
- Debrah (6/5): - The hotel was convenient to restaurants and the harbor, but to be honest that was all I can recommend. The bed was so uncomfortable we were unable to sleep.
- Anthony (4/5): - Very dirty. Blood on counter, lamp. Dead bedbugs under bed. Mayflies in room. Dust on counters.
Bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have stayed in. Actually hurt my wife's back.
Very tiny and with the furniture and our bags, very little room to move around.
No one was available onsite to help us check in. I had to call a number to check into the property as the person who was on site left for the day (5:30 PM)
Only good things were it was quiet and convenient.
- Kaylen (8/5): - A fun and easy place to stay when wanting to be close to the events downtown in Put In Bay!
- Ginger (8/5): - Pool was at different location. Clean, nice.
- Linda (4/5): Not a good time - Not good lighting, only lamps. No where to put things like your drink or snacks unless you use the 1 nightstand. Extremely noisy. Understandable that people will be partying but not until 5:30 in the morning both nights that we were there. No coffee maker or anywhere close to get a cup of coffee
- Jim (8/5): - We had a great stay at Victory Station. The hotel is clean, nice, and super convenient to downtown. Our only hangup were some noisy neighbors on the last night that kept us up til 5AM. Totally understand that's just the odds you play at hotels in party towns. Still, since there's no overnight staff on site, we were a little bit powerless in that situation. Overall, we'd stay again and recommend.
- Lynn (10/5): - Courtesy call letting us know room was ready was a pleasant surprise! Room was exactly as advertised. Coffee in morning appreciated. Front desk receptionist was friendly and accommodating. ❤️❤️
- Stacey (10/5): Great stay! - We had a great stay at Victory Station. At PIB, it’s all about the location and the location of victory station is absolutely perfect. The beds weren’t super comfy, but I rarely expect that at hotels. We will definitely come back!
- Diane (4/5): Terribly Disappointed - We were looking forward to staying here because of the great reviews and location. However, the floor was dirty I went thru 2 pairs of ankle socks that got black from walking on the floor. The bed was awful, no where near comfortable at all. The Staff stated the floors had been mopped, I showed them my socks so they mopped the floor again. My husband thinks the walls are paper thin as we heard whomever upstairs thru the whole night. We will definitely not stay there again.
- Tony (8/5): - Mattress was very uncomfortable
- Jordan (10/5): - It was very nice, close to everything! Perfect
- Richard (6/5): - Thought the room was very adequate. Like the wood lime tile floor. The furnature was ok. Parking for the golf cart was a bit of an issue. NO COFFEE POT in the room.
- Sharalee (6/5): Too expensive and very small - Put-in-Bay is always a good time, this was my first time staying at Victory Station, it will also be my last. The office is not open on site very often, our room was small that for the price we paid it was way less than expected. The web site advertised off site access to a heated pool, regular pool, cabanas, and also showed pictures of patio sets by the rooms, not true. We had of site access to one freezing pool and we would have had to pay extra for use of the cabanas on top of the already paid $241.00 resort fee. Very close to downtown though. But also the room itself was very small, very few channels on TV, no working space which i needed because we're stayed a week. If you are only staying one or two nights this might be worth it but it is very expensive compared to similar accommodations on the island. I would not recommend
- Wendy (4/5): - Unfriendly staff and check-in process. Paper thin walls and shabby bed, linens and pillows. The TV was spotty and a blue screen constantly on and the wifi would go in and out Constantly. Not at all worth the price, there are several other properties well more worth the stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Only thing going for it is on the island close to where all the "action" is.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to town and quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a 2-bed queen room. Room was very clean & beds were pleasant. Bathroom nice also. Overall the hotel itself was pleasing.
There was no hair dryer, in room coffee pot or iron. We had to wait until staff(?) showed up for coffee (thermos pot).
Hotel staff was pretty much non-existant; the office was locked for the day when we got there at 3:10pm. We had to call a sister hotel for any information; like location of pool. Pool is about a block & a half & extremely hard to find. Very crowded on a Tuesday. Can't imagine what it's like on the weekend.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Besides being at a good location absolutely nothing positive ( friendly staff ) 🙄 horrible beds !! I mean my young boys couldn’t lay at the same one bc was making a hole !!!
- Rachel (8/5): Great room if you’re not gonna be in it much - Room is very dark. Needs more light. Also no microwave but it does have a refrigerator.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel was cute and conveniently located to all the attractions on the main strip. Hotel was clean. Bed was not that comfortable and you could hear everything from the room next door. Made it hard to sleep with the people next door up most of the night.
- Terri (10/5): Thumbs up! - Small hotel. Very charming. Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Close to downtown strip. Would stay there again. Rented golf cart from the guys directly next door. They gave us 10% discount. Overall happy with our stay!
- Ryan (8/5): - Whether was good, motel was nice the only thing that would make it better would me to update the mattresses the were very broke down
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is key close to downtown. Staff was excellant. Property needs attention. But with lack of staff I can overlook it.
- Elecisha (2/5): Disappointed - Stay was disappointing, no television, neighbors was extremely loud and vulgar. Large drywall patch on wall. We ended our stay early. Would not stay there again.
- Charles (10/5): - Extremely clean and orderly. Staff bent over backwards to make the experience a great one.
- Tamara (6/5): Cute room but could be cleaner - They didn’t even leave an extra toilet tissue roll. And when we called the office to get more it was closed. There was a paper posted on the office saying if we call and the office is closed to call their sister hotel. When I dialed that number to call it said the number was out of service. We had to call our friends who were staying at another local hotel to ask for an extra roll for us. One of the plugs in the room didn’t work. There were spider webs in certain areas. There was trash left in the vanity that they must have not realized. Besides the cleanliness issue it was not a bad stay. The room was cozy enough for the both of us
- Taylor (8/5): Good location - Good location. Quite corner of town
- Crystal (10/5): - We really enjoyed our night! Hope to see you soon!
- SARA (6/5): - Check in was fast and friendly. Room was decently clean. Do not count on having wi-fi as I was not able to connect to it at all during my stay. There are no chairs in the room, so you need to sit on the beds the whole time which can become uncomfortable. Beds could use an upgrade. Location was great for anything in town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay. - Everything was great!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location. - It was a great location and perfect for a one night stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Decent location, overpriced - Pros:
Check-in was super easy. We arrived during the suggested front desk time and they were expecting us.
The property manager, Morgan, was friendly and helpful with our check-in.
Great location - the hotel is within easy walking distance of downtown while a little removed from the main strip scene.
Golf Cart rentals are directly next door - ask for Rich
A few things to note:
This is advertised as a "hotel" where it is actually a "motel" layout meaning a two-floor layout with guest access to rooms directly from the sidewalk.
There is no pool - Pictures of the pool, swimup bar, cabanas, tiki bar are posted in the gallery for this location. These photos are actually from their sister property and not this actual location. The photos are deceiving if you haven't read the fine print.
Daily Housekeeping is suspended during covid-19 restrictions. We collected new towels ourselves.
Cons:
Floors under and around the beds and bath sink were filthy. They had obviously not been cleaned in quite a long time - accumulated trash, dirt, and dust.
Noise Levels
Walls and Ceiling are thin and picks up all adjacent and outside noise.
Questionable Guest Activity
We experienced two nights of Police being called to the property in early AM hours (2-3am both nights.
Night 1 was for a medical emergency - possible alcohol or drug overdose from what we observed in front of our window.
Night 2 was for a fight/disturbance/dispute.
No property manager presence overnight.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was late in the season so I’ll start with that. Check in was interesting to say the least saying I didn’t have a room and they moved us to different hotel. No maid service the entire weekend but we asked for extra towels. The walls in our room were paper thin and could hear our neighbors entire conversations. The rooms are clean and hotel very conveniently located!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean rooms, great central location and friendly staff.
- Robin (8/5): Our stay - The manager was very nice and fun. The rooms were very clean even though the floors needed a little more tlc. Otherwise it was a great place to stay. A little overpriced but it was worth it.
- Rebecca (8/5): Enjoyed our stay! - Hotel was in a great location, close to everything in town. We road the Jet Express to the island, and we walked to the hotel with our luggage. It was about half a mile. The room was cute and nicely decorated. There is a golf cart rental place right next door where you can rent a cart to explore the island. The cart has to be returned by 6pm so get it early in the day. Regarding the hotel, it was clean, except for the floors. The floors are a dark wood laminate, and while they looked clean, they were not. After showering, I walked on the floors with my bare feet, and the bottoms of my feet were black! Other than needing a good mopping, the room was fresh and clean. Would stay there again. Also, Pasquales is a great choice for breakfast!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean. Good location. Friendly staff. Laminate flooring instead of gross hotel carpet. Only con was that room lighting was dim making it hard to get ready.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - property location was great ,staff very friendly, rooms were clean ,only gripe was tv didn't work and half the lights were inop.other than that it was very good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It doesn’t provide any kind of restaurant or food on the property, no pool or fitness room, and the counter help is part-time (shared with the Commodore Perry). However, the room is delightful, clean, the hvac works marvelously, and it smells fresh and clean. Wicker furniture is down amidst a lower court area and by most units doors.
- Sparky (6/5): - This is a very quiet place and is a short walk from the main activities... mattress in room 14 could be replaced. Not good at all.
- Spencer (10/5): - Great place!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a small hotel right on the edge of downtown. We thought it was in the perfect location - no need for a golf cart, but away from the noise of the main drag. Check-in/check-out was very laid-back and informal. We were able to get a late check-out with no problem. Someone was available any time we needed something or they posted a message on the door. We would gladly stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Liked the location and the room decor. Room was stocked with extra shampoos, soaps, towels, and wash clothes.Staff was friendly and stored our luggage for us after check-out.
- G (10/5): Great location - This hotel definitely is in the perfect location. Just a few minute walk from everything downtown and the pool bars. The room was ready early for check in and was pretty clean up our arrival which was nice. The the jet express to the island and it drops you off 5 minutes from this hotel. (No taxi fees).
- shelli (10/5): - very pretty quaint little place. Has the necessary amenities and close to all action. Rooms are very clean and cute!! will re visit
- Liwanag (4/5): Very disappointed! - We were disappointed when we got to the location. It is not a resort. We just got there and the staff said the office will be closed at 4. We had to hurry ourselves to get there to get our keys. The building don't have regular staff. We had to call another location to ask them for toilet paper. It was booked for 4 people they only had 2 sets of towels. We called again the next day for something else. No Coffee or tea. I definitely won't recommend this to anyone.
