Guest Reviews
- Peter (10/5): - This is lovely hotel, with lovely staff, I recommend it whole-heartedly.
- Cátia Matos (10/5): - Great accommodation, felt like an oasis in the middle of the busy city. Ideal if your plans mostly include trips out of the harbor as you are 5 min away. Also ideal for great restaurants all in walking distance. Property has a small pool and feels like you are immersed in true Mexico which I love. Property managers were lovely too. Breakfast was basic but it may also be because I left the property everyday by 7-7.30… there might have been more of a spread later on. Anyway for my purpose, a simple pastry and a coffee were sufficient and ideal. Would reccomend staying if this is what you are looking for .
- Chingting (10/5): - This is a beautiful hotel that you can relax in the central yard. Very unique bathrooms and the room has a fridge. I would definitely stay here again. Plus, it is right next to SeeCreatures!
- Meghana (10/5): - The property is at the center of tbe town and is quite cute. The staff is very attentive and respectful. Overall, wonderful stay!
- Adriano (6/5): - Definitely over priced. The location is very good, right in the middle of the city but in a quieter area. In spite of what other travellers are saying I did not find the property loud. If it would be cheaper I would give it full marks, but sincerely it is not on the level of a boutique hotel.
- Nancy (10/5): Charming - Bella Casa is a charming hotel with a friendly, helpful staff. The location is convenient to great dining (InVita) and a lovely park. The rooms are spacious and well appointed.
- Betty (10/5): - Loved our stay here!!! Barbara, the owner, is unbelievably fantastic! She is a wealth of information, speaks flawless English, and will help you with anything…she called our Uber for us, then followed it on her phone til it got to us, which involved running down the street when it pulled over a block and a half from us. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds and a large bathroom that is absolutely adorable. The very best part of the bathroom is the shower…great water pressure and hot water…I could have stayed in it for hours. There is a peaceful courtyard with beautiful flowering plants throughout and a small pool. Fresh breakfast rolls, coffee, and tea are served on the veranda every morning. We walked to a fantastic pizza place just 1/2 a block away and to Taco Guss for great tacos and margaritas within a couple blocks. I cannot recommend Barbara and Casa Bella Boutique enough…a wonderful oasis to spend time in.
- John (8/5): Great - Great location, good room, very clean, comfortable and quiet
- Joe (10/5): - Unfortunately I was a bit sick the entire time I was in Cabo, but there couldn't have been a better space for me to relax. The temperature was perfect and there were spots for me to relax outside, in the dining area or on my balcony. The place just oozes with Colonial character. The staff is really nice and helpful. The only downside was the noise from nearby bars at night (mostly on the weekend), but I was able to sleep though it.
- christine (10/5): - The owner was kind and helpful. The property was beautiful, clean and spacious. The rooms were huge! We would definitely stay here again.
- Galen (10/5): STAY HERE! - Perfect stay for what we were looking for! Beautiful, cultural, Mexico lodging. Mexican tile floors, bathroom, bedding, all so beautiful! Sooooo easy to walk wherever you want in harbor area. Hospitality was impeccable. Highly recommend. Such a lovely place
- Christian (10/5): - Amazing little locally owned property, feels like a home away from home
- Barbara (8/5): - Lovely stay at Casa Bella!! Thank you so much Barbara🤗
- Harald (10/5): - Very well looked after Boutique Hotel. Room was spacious with comfortable bed, fridce snd AC. The courtyard was gorgeous with tropical flowers and plants. Coffee, tea and mexican bakery was offered in the morning. Lots of options for restaurants and Cafes in walking distance. Short walk to the marina and the bars for partying. Only drawback was the noise coming from a nearby night club. Ear plugs recommended for a good night‘s sleep.
- Lori (10/5): - Unfortunately we only stayed one night.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and extremely welcoming.
Best of all is the charm. Beautiful courtyard with an old mexico feel.
- Manuel (10/5): - A Honeymoon Dream Come True at Casa Bella
Our stay at Casa Bella was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped through the door, Barbara, our incredible host, made us feel special. She welcomed us with fresh flowers and chocolates, setting the perfect tone for our honeymoon. The next day, she surprised us with champagne, a gesture that meant the world to us. Her father, who owns the hotel, was equally kind, with a warm smile. Their genuine care and attention transformed our stay into something unforgettable. The charm of the hotel, combined with the heartfelt hospitality, made us feel at home in paradise. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or memorable place to celebrate our love.
We will forever cherish our experience at Casa Bella and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a romantic getaway in Cabo!
- James R. and Laurie G. (10/5): - Beautiful Hacienda style hotel in the middle of everything. Barbara was so helpful from checking in and on our departure. We would definitely stay here again.
- Catherine (10/5): - We loved this hotel. The staff is amazing, the rooms are comfortable, and the courtyard is beautiful. It is a gorgeous, tranquil oasis.
- Keith (10/5): - Hidden gem of Cabo
- Ann (10/5): - Wonderful hotel! Very clean and cozy! All of the staff were kind and extremely helpful!!! I will definitely stay here again. Also very convenient location! Thank you!!!
- Dan (8/5): - Beautiful and charming property in a great location with kind and accommodating staff.
Our one and only complaint is that the complimentary coffee/pastry was always out. We’re early risers and went out each day before 8am hoping to grab a cup but each day there was only tea available.
- Stephen (10/5): - Very nice hotel, clean and located very conveniently to all the places I wanted to go. Manager warned that it was in a noisy location, but I didn't hear a thing.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Very relaxing family owned hidden gem - Perfect boutique hotel for our short stay. Great location for easily walking to the marina and surrounding shops restaurants and clubs. Our stay was very quiet at night.
- Nancy (10/5): Oasis in the Center of Town - Casa Bella is a charming boutique hotel in downtown Cabo. It has a tranquil courtyard and traditional hacienda decor. The owner Barbara was so accommodating and allowed us to use our room the next day since no one was checking in. She provided a white noise machine to help with loud music from area bars but we slept very well. If you happen to be diving with Nautilus, they are located right next door.
- Courtney (10/5): - Great location and place to stay
- James (10/5): - Place and staff both nice. I was quite happy NOT to have TV in the room, but some people would miss that. Location also suited me but wasn't the neightbourhood
- Deanna (10/5): - Lovely place to stay.
- Tammy Lynea (10/5): - Super quaint and charming. Location was fabulous for us, walking distance to the marina but less chaotic. Staff was knowledgeable about restaurants in the area which led to some great meals. Unfortunately, it does not offer amenities like coffee makers in the room. However, we truly loved it here. This hotel is a hidden gem, and we will be back.
- Miao (8/5): - Beautiful property with stunning colors and decor. Loved the room super spacious. Friendly staff except no one offered to help me with my big luggage going to the room or leaving hotel. A bit odd.
- Patricia (10/5): - Friendly and helpful.
- bill (10/5): - Beautiful hotel at a very reasonable price!! I would stay here every time!!
- Scott (10/5): Great stay - Staff is incredibly friendly, the location is great if you are trying to stay away from the resorts. The rooms are all nice and unique. Will be back if in Los Cabos for sure.
- Jennifer (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Casa Bella. Everyone made us feel very welcome and made sure we had a great stay. Yes the property is surrounded by clubs and restaurants as it is in the centre of town, so the music can be loud as the evening approaches and into the night but we wore our earplugs and had the noise cancelling machine in the room on and slept very well. The beds are very comfortable, and the room is kept clean by the housekeeping staff. Barbara and her staff go above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. The pool is very nice and quiet to spend time at during the day which we really enjoyed. The rooms have no tv which is just perfect as far as we were concerned as we had no need of one. It is a beautiful garden oasis right in the middle of town. The restaurants and cafes located able short walk away were wonderfully delicious and reasonably priced for Cabo. There is also an OXXO close by as well as a Pharmacy for any of your needs. It was exactly the type of stay we wanted in Cabo away from the main Marina strip and tourist places. We highly recommend this boutique hotel. If you are looking for a cookie cutter type repost hotel this is not the place for you. If you are looking to stay in a family operated, small, boutique style hotel without loud crowds of people then this is the place for you!
- Margo (8/5): - It’s a really beautiful property. The disco next door is very loud but it didn’t bother me as I can sleep through a lot.
- kathleen (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great stay
- leo (10/5): - Barbara was accommodating, staff was friendly and helpful.
Once you step through the doors, you will find peacefulness and a hidden gem.
Beautiful courtyard and quaint pool.
One thing best, there was no TELEVISION in our room.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
- Alison (8/5): Charming boutique hotel - Charming boutique in town. Beautiful bathroom suite. Good service- nice staff. In room refrigerator. Very small shampoo and conditioner, shower gel and lotion. You must ask for more if needed. Water bottles provided. Nice stay.
- Linda (10/5): - This old world style property is a real find for Cabo, only a couple of blocks from the marina and across from a lovely plaza used by local families and tourists alike. When you enter the courtyard garden the bustle of the street outside fades away. Security is good as the front door is kept locked when there is no one directly at the desk. There was no in-room safe. The garden includes ample seating to relax and a small, very clean pool. Our ground floor room was a bit dark but air-conditioned and quiet and included a fluffy pillow top king size bed. The bathroom is finished hacienda-style and there was very generous hot water for the shower. There was only one towel hook in the bathroom: a drying rack would have been nice for towels and beachwear. There is a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold, and the hotel provides one bottle of water per person per day. There are many stores nearby to buy drinks and a good coffee shop across the street. The hotel offered tea and coffee with sweet buns each morning but these were not popular, probably because there are many breakfast options nearby. I would have appreciated a pitcher of cool water along with the buns as even in October the mornings are warm. There have been some reviews that mentioned noise from neighbouring clubs, and we could definitely hear them if we listened, but even as a sensitive sleeper a normal pair of disposable ear plugs was all I needed. The positives far outweigh this small negative. Would return.
- Raymond (10/5): - This is a gem of a place in Cabo city. It’s clean rooms are nice. We liked it because we wanted to be in the Cabo area and not worry about transportation to resorts. It’s a short walk to all that is Cabo, right around the corner from the Cabo Wabo. The staff was helpful and had a great sense of security. The location is older with a lot of run down properties around. It is across the street from a nice plaza where several events took place. Depends on what
You want from Cabo this is a hidden gem for sure !
- Courtney (10/5): - Barbara and staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond! Would definitely stay here again.
- Jon (10/5): - I loved the decor and the ambience of this property, from the lovely garden courtyard with pool and plenty of sitting areas, to the well appointed and decorated rooms.
The staff was very helpful and friendly and I felt more like I was staying in someone's home than a hotel. And in. fact this was a family home that got converted into a hotel, but the family still live and work there.
Overall, this was probably the most pleasant hotel experience I have ever had.
- Jon (10/5): - I love the decor of this property. It is warm and welcoming and has a real Mexican feel.
The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.
I cannot speak highly enough of this property, it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.
- Robert (10/5): - Super good. Could not be better!
- Larry (10/5): - Nice property. Wonderful staff. A little disappointed in the continental breakfast. Sparse selection. Some sliced fruit, yogurt, etc wold be nice.
- James (10/5): - Beautiful small intimate property. Centrally located. Very hospitable staff. Barbara is an excellent host. Very nice room. great central courtyard.
- James (10/5): - Small, clean, convenient. Beautiful courtyard.
- Kimberley A (10/5): - This is a beautiful gem of a property in the heart of downtown Cabo. It is reminiscent of old Spanish architecture and lush landscaping. It is very quiet. Although there are no dining options at the hotel, you are surrounded by restaurants including an amazing Italian place next door.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Soft Beds! - Every time we stay here ... it's been very nice. Softest beds and pillows. Would love to see to go cups for coffee please.
Thank you!
- Christopher S (10/5): - Beautiful and quiet
- Jennifer (8/5): - Perfect location for Spring Breakers but near Cabo Wabo Cantina so I go no sleep. It was loud and hopping!
- Jill L. (10/5): - My family absolutely loved our stay at the Casa Bella Hotel. It was most beautiful and had an old-world atmosphere. The gardens and flowers were second to none. I looked forward each day to coffee and a danish sitting in the lovely patios/garden. The owners (Barbara and Marco) were very caring, gracious owners. They certainy went out of their way to make all of us feel welcome. The location was ideal for shopping, dining, and walking anywhere downtown Cabo. We are definitely going back next year. Thank you Barbara and Marco for a most lovely three days with you. Jill and Fred Piercy and Famiy.
- Kristen (10/5): - We can across this hotel through expedia by accident. It is absolutely charming and the owner is wonderful. The room had so much character. Our only regret was we only stayed a short night.
- RONIE (2/5): - Grounds were lovely.
- Graham (10/5): Wonderful stay! Thank you so much! - This is an absolutely amazing hotel in Cabo San Lucas. The owner, Barbara, is extremely friendly and personable, and really goes out of her way to make guests feel at home. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone! Much more of an authentic Mexican experience than what you would get at one of the anonymous all-inclusive resorts!
- Jack (10/5): - Beautiful gardens and lovely rooms in this small, secure/safe, boutique hotel across from a park and a natural science museum. Only a couple of blocks from the marina, the mall, excellent restaurants, bars, and shops! Hotel staff are very accommodating and have connections to reliable transport companies from/to the airport. Casabella offers great value and is steps away from the best that Cabo San Lucas offers!
The one detracting item from my 7 night stay was the music & noise (from about 11 pm until almost 5 am) from a night club a block away. I had Bose sleep buds, music, the heater/air conditioner noise and a white noise machine to mask the loud music coming from the obnoxious night club. So, although the night club noise was annoying, I mitigated it and rested well each night.
I highly recommend Casabella!
- Amy (10/5): - This was a magical little hidden gem! The pictures do not do it justice! The gardens are gorgeous! The staff was absolutely lovely!! I highly recommend this place!!!
- Jason (10/5): - One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in and definitely the best staff of any hotel I've stayed in. I travel for work and have stayed over 2000 nights in hotels in the past 30 years. Casa Bella: BEST staff.
- Earl (10/5): - Lovely place. Front desk couldn’t be more helpful and attentive. Great little italian joint next door. Definitely worth the stay.
- william (10/5): - The location was great. Barbara is a terrific host. Helped make my long awaited return vacation to Cabo excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay in downtown Cabo - Beautiful small hotel with lots of charm in a prime location in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Very helpful staff.
- JuliBeth (10/5): - This is a beautiful property in a walkable, safe, convenient part of Cabo - just a quick walk to the harbor and everything else. Gorgeous landscape, a sweet cocktail pool, and friendly staff. We will be back for sure!
- Maria (10/5): Very pleasant stay - If you are looking for a place to stay that has that authentic Mexican feel, then here is the place! I loved everything about it! Sergio was such a nice help! He made us feel very welcomed! There are so many places to shop and eat at within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.
- Robert (10/5): Cabo delight - I have stayed here once before in 2018 and remembered how special this property was. This is maybe my favorite hotel ever. When you arrive on the street level entryway it doesn't look like the special place it is. The courtyard and rooms are just such a delight and I always hate to leave. Thank you to the staff for making our stay a special one. We will be back soon I hope. Also don't miss the Italian restaurant next door. Its a class act with great food and even better service
- Aleah-Mae (10/5): 10/10 Perfect Stay - It was such a beautiful stay. Thank you Barbara for being so transparent with a pre-check in message about the surrounding establishments. We did not find our stay to be disrupted by any noise, whatsoever.
Our room was magnificent and the Casa gave us the authentic Mexican vibes we were craving so badly in Cabo.
The architecture and space was SO beautiful that I had to make sure my two friends (couple) had booked their last night in Cabo at Casa Bella as well.
I will be recommending this beautiful space until I die lol.
- Robert (10/5): - This is a beautiful and unique historic property that is superbly comfortable, relaxing, and ideally located. Barbara goes out of her way to make you welcome and make your stay perfect plus even made reservations for our dinner and airport transportation. The beds are among the most comfortable we've ever slept in. In a word, "perfect"!
- Anne (10/5): - The grounds are stunning, the rooms comfortable and spacious, and the staff genuine, friendly and accommodating. Wonderful advice on where to eat great food and find candy for Halloween.
- Veronica (10/5): - Form the minute we arrived to the moment we departed this place was nothing but top notch! With the plaza right across the street you really feel you’re At the encanto house!!
- Laurie (10/5): - Definitely would return to this beautiful hotel in the heart of Cabo ! Loved the traditional Mexico decor and wonderful staff ! They even went out of their way to deliver a forgotten medicine. A big thanks to Casa Bella hotel for being so accommodating!
- Tami (2/5): ??Relaxing Boutique Hotel??Noisy Nightmare!!!!!!!! - Unfortunately we had a terrible stay due to Music playing all night until 6am. We left after 2 days into our 7 day stay and went somewhere else. In the reviews prior to booking this Boutique hotel there was nothing about loud noise. The owner gave us earplugs and a white noise machine for our room and that was useless. Our room was literally vibrating due to the loud music. Water temperature in the bathroom shower and sink was one temperature only, and that was COLD! The location is good for walking in Cabo, only a couple blocks away from the Marina. The owner said she would give me a discount due to our situation, however there was NO DISCOUNT given. The owners father said, "Get used to it. ", regarding the noise. After that, we decided enough, and left. We have traveled a lot around the world and often rely on reviews, so we were disappointed when the Noise was not reported. Don't stay here, unless you want a Vibrating Noisey Room.
- Jennifer T (10/5): - This hotel is very unique, it's a little hidden gem in the middle of the city. It's very well cared for, not fancy but clean and comfortable. The owners/staff are very helpful with anything you need. It is close to an all-night dance club which may bother some people. It's walking distance to many good restaurants and the marina. The courtyard/pool area is beautiful with plants, trees and flowers. The bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here if you don't like the cookie cutter big resorts and want a little more character and convenience.
- Rosalva (6/5): - Staff was friendly, mattress was comfy yet when it made lots of noise. There is a club/restaurant behind the hotel. Did not sleep.
- Duncan (10/5): - Great classic hotel close to the marina area in Cabo San Lucas. Barbara took care of the details and made sure my stay was enjoyable. Truly like a sanctuary after you enter through the doors to the interior garden. 5 minute walk to the Marina area.
Recommend Italian Restaurants DOC and InVita, and also Los Barrilas Restaurant. Also great Coffee Shop 1/2 block away with great coffee and pastries.
On a couple nights, some music could be heard from a nearby nightclub, but not too bad.
Parking is challenging, but Barbara took care of all the details to make sure my rental car was secure.
Highly Recommend!
- Keith (10/5): - A hidden gem in Cabo! This is where I will stay when I am here again
- Terry (10/5): - Beautiful property! We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella. Everybody is very friendly, the courtyard is gorgeous, peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the pool. And our room was so cozy, peaceful and comfortable. We will stay here again!
- John (10/5): - Excellent property close to downtown Cabo. Very nice staff and property owner.
- Janine (10/5): - Had a great experience! Would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet peaceful atmosphere.
- Brandylynn (10/5): - Perfect location, great place to stay
- Rene (10/5): - This was a pleasant surprise! Entire staff were very friendly. It felt like a traditional, romantic hotel. We received a free upgrade as we were there for birthday celebration. Love the location as well. Will absolutely stay there everytime we visit Cabo.
- James (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here! It was a bit like staying in the family Madrigal house from Encanto- in that the hotel is also the home of the delightful family who owns and runs it. The rooms are beautiful, the beds dreamy, and the bathrooms are splendid. The grounds are a paradise. A wonderful respite!
- John William (10/5): - Great place
- Eileen (10/5): - I was in Cabo to stay overnight before a dive trip and this place was perfect for me. Barbara, the owner, greeted me and made me feel welcome. The hotel is beautiful and quaint. My room was very comfortable and I was close to shopping, restaurants and walking around the marina. My dive shop is right next door. I am very glad that I stayed here.
- Jose (10/5): - It was excellent, loved it. Will def. stay there again. Claudia was the sweetest.
- Erin (10/5): - What an amazing stay! Barbara and her family and staff were so accommodating and friendly. The property was gorgeous, with lush gardens and easy access to shopping and restaurants. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We'd definitely return.
- Andrew (10/5): - Beautiful property with so many cute areas. Bed is super comfortable and the staff upgraded our room for free. Such kind welcoming staff and close to areas downtown.
- Shari (10/5): Great Cabo boutique hotel off the beaten path! - A wonderful, quaint boutique hotel... room was terrific - bed was Very comfortable! NO noise, even so close to all the Cabo activities... A variety of good places to eat very close by (walking distance)... We will definitely stay here again!
- Jorge (10/5): - This was the most comfortable bed I slept in Mexico. Very friendly staff. Dedicated to deliver an excellent service.
The Hotel is very Charming… Super Recommended.
- Denise (10/5): - They made you feel like family the staff was very friendly and helpful thank you Barbara for your hospitality looking forward to seeing you again
- James (10/5): - Amazing open air courtyard adjacent to all the rooms. Truly one of the most unique hotels I have stayed at. Great location close to the marina I was fishing out of.
- Mark (10/5): - A beautiful oasis in a convenient spot close to the restaurants, shops and marina
- guy (10/5): - Amazing location and the best stuff of the hotel !!!!
They make you feel like home
- LOUAY M (8/5): - nice hotel Close to everything two blocks from the ocean two blocks from the casino overall pretty decent hotel
- Karam (10/5): - Amazing stay here! I would highly recommend!
- Steven (10/5): Great hidden gem - If you don't need a view this spot is in a great location and the owner is great - I would highly reccomnend
- Becky (10/5): - We booked this hotel last minute for one-night as we had to change our flights. The owner was there waiting for us, offered us a small upgrade and did everything to make a stressful day less stressful.
The property and room are beautiful and charming. It is located on a street with lots of great restaurants and is a short walk to the marina.
Would absolutely recommend and stay here again.
- Della (10/5): - Everything was wonderful. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Walking distance to everything.
- DANIELA (4/5): - The architectural design of the hotel and gardens were amazing. Good size room and bathroom with comfortable bed. 2 bottles of water per day included in the price and good quality Wi-Fi. Many restaurant options nearby. Staff were very helpful when applied to for assistance. Unfortunately, this was not the urban oasis described and expected- lot of noise during most of the day and early evening due to some property upkeep activities that made it impossible to rest in the room or relax with a book by the pool or in the garden. It would have been nice to have had coffee/tea amenities in the room given that there were no breakfast/snack items available onsite.
- Frank (10/5): - Beautiful property in a great location. Barbara was so friendly and her mother was a pleasure to talk to. Because the breakfast area was closed at the property Barbara gave us a free breakfast at Mama’s Royal Cafe and she let us check out late when it was time for us to go. This place lives up to it’s name because it is absolutely beautiful! The architecture and the people as well. We felt like family.
- Klara (10/5): - It is an oasis of quiet and beauty in Cabo.
- douglas (10/5): - Family owned & on premise. Very personable & accomadating. Was a hidden Oasis.
